vātakuṇḍalikāṣṭhīlā vātabastis tathaiva ca |
mūtrātītaḥ sajaṭharo mūtrotsaṅgaḥ kṣayas tathā ||
mūtragranthir mūtraśukramuṣṇavātas tathaiva ca |
mūtraukasādau dvau cāpi rogā dvādaśa kīrtitāḥ ||
raukṣyād vegavighātād vā vāyur antaram āśirtaḥ |
mūtraṃ carati saṃgṛhya viguṇaḥ kuṇḍalīkṛtaḥ ||
sṛjed alpālpamathavā sarujaskaṃ śanaiḥ śanaiḥ |

mūtradoṣaviśuddhyarthaṃ tathaivāśmarināśanam ||
balāśvadaṃṣṭrākrauñcāsthikokilākṣakataṇḍulān |
śataparvakamūlaṃ ca devadāru sacitrakam ||
akṣabījaṃ ca surayā kalkīkṛtya piben naraḥ |
mūtradoṣaviśuddhyarthaṃ tathaivāśmarināśanam ||
pāṭalākṣāram āhṛtya saptakṛtvaḥ parisrutam |
piben mūtravikāraghnaṃ saṃsṛṣṭaṃ tailamātrayā ||
nalāśmabhedadarbhekṣutrapusair vārubījakān |
kṣīre pariśṛtān tatra pibet sarpiḥ samāyutān ||
pāṭalyā yāvaśūkāc ca pāribhadrāt tilād api |
kṣārodakena matimān tvageloṣaṇacūrṇakam ||
pibed guḍena miśraṃ vā lihyāllehān pṛthak pṛthak |
ata ūrdhvaṃ pravakṣyāmi mūtradoṣe kramaṃ hitam ||
snehasvedopapannānāṃ hitaṃ teṣu virecanam |
tataḥ saṃśuddhadehānāṃ hitāś cottarabastayaḥ ||
strīṇāmatiprasaṅgena śoṇitaṃ yasya dṛśyate |
maithunoparamas tasya bṛṃhaṇaś ca vidhiḥ smṛtaḥ ||
tāmracūḍavasā tailaṃ hitaṃ cottarabastiṣu |
vidhānaṃ tasya pūrvaṃ hi vyāsataḥ parikīrtitam ||
kṣaudrārdhapātraṃ dattvā ca pātraṃ tu kṣīrasarpiṣaḥ |
śarkarāyāś ca cūrṇaṃ ca drākṣācūrṇaṃ ca tatsamam ||
svayaṅguptāphalaṃ caiva tathivekṣurakasya ca |
pippalīcūrṇasaṃyuktamardhabhāgaṃ prakalpayet ||
tadaikadhyaṃ samānīya khajenābhipramanthayet |
tataḥ pāṇitalaṃ cūrṇaṃ līḍhvā kṣīraṃ tataḥ pibet ||
etat sarpiḥ prayuñjānaḥ śuddhadeho naraḥ sadā |
mūtradoṣāñjayet sarvānanyayogaiḥ sudurjayān ||
jayec choṇitadoṣāṃś ca vandhyā garbhaṃ labheta ca |
nārī caitat prayuñjānā yonidosāt pramucyate ||
balā kolāsthi madhukaṃ śvadaṃṣṭrātha śatāvarī |
mṛṇālaṃ ca kaśeruś ca bījānīkṣurakasya ca ||
sahasravīryāṃśumatī payasyā saha kālayā |
śṛgālavinnātibalā bṛṃhaṇīyo gaṇas tathā ||
etāni samabhāgāni matimān saha sādhayet |
caturguṇena payasā guḍasya tulayā saha ||
droṇāvaśiṣṭaṃ tat pūtaṃ pacettena ghṛtāḍhakam |
tat siddhaṃ kalaśe sthāpyaṃ kṣaudraprasthena saṃyutam ||
sarpiretat prayuñjāno mūtradoṣāt pramucyate |
tugākṣīryāś ca cūrṇāni śarkarāyās tathaiva ca ||
kṣaudreṇa tulyānyāloḍya praśaste 'hani lehayet |
tasya khādedyathāśakti mātrāṃ kṣīraṃ tataḥ pibet ||
śukradoṣāñjayenmartyaḥ prāśya samyak suyantritaḥ |
vyavāyakṣīṇaretās tu sadyaḥ saṃlabhate sukham ||
ojasvī balavānmartyaḥ piben neva ca hṛṣyati |
citrakaḥ sārivā caiva balā kālānusārivā ||
drākṣā viśālā pippalyas tathā citraphalā bhevet |
tathaiva madhukaṃ pathyāṃ dadyādāmalakāni ca ||
ghṛtāḍhakaṃ pacedebhiḥ kalkaiḥ karṣasamanvitaiḥ |
kṣīradroṇe jaladroṇe tat siddham avatārayet ||
śītaṃ parisrutaṃ caiva śarkarāprasthasaṃyutam |
tugākṣīryāś ca tat sarvaṃ matimān parimiśrayet ||
tato mitaṃ pibetkāle yathādoṣaṃ yathābalam |
vātaretāḥ śleṣmaretāḥ pittaretās tu yo bhavet ||
raktaretā granthiretāḥ pibed icchan naro gatām |
jīvanīyaṃ ca vṛṣyaṃ ca sarpir etad balāvaham ||
prakṣāhitaṃ ca dhanyaṃ ca sarvarogāpahaṃ śivam |
sarpir etat prayuñjānā strī garbhaṃ labhate 'cirāt ||
asṛgdoṣāñ jayec cāpi yonidoṣāṃś ca saṃhatān |
mūtradoṣeṣu sarveṣu kuryād etac cikitsitam ||
iti suśrutasaṃhitāyām uttaratantrāntargate kāyacikitsātantre mūtrāghātapratiṣedho nāma (viṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ, āditaḥ) aṣṭapañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||58 ||

vātena pittena kaphena sarvais tathā+ābhighātaiḥ śakṛdaśmarībhyām |
tathāparaḥ śarkarayā sukaṣṭo mūtropaghātaḥ kathito 'ṣṭamas tu ||
alpam alpaṃ samutpīḍya muṣkamehanabastibhiḥ |
phaladbhir iva kṛcchreṇa vātāghātena mehati ||
hāridramuṣṇaṃ raktaṃ vā muṣkamehanabastibhiḥ |
agninā dahyamānābhaiḥ pittāghātena mehati ||
snigdhaṃ śuklamanuṣṇaṃ ca muṣkamehanabastibhiḥ |
saṃhṛṣṭaromā gurubhiḥ śleṣmāghātena mehati ||
dāhaśītarujāviṣṭo nānāvarṇaṃ muhur muhuḥ |
tāmyamānas tu kṛcchreṇa sannipātena mehati ||
mūtravāhiṣu śalyena kṣateṣv abhihateṣu ca |
srotaḥsu mūtrāghātas tu jāyate bhṛśavedanaḥ ||
vātabastes tu tulyāni tasya liṅgāni lakṣayet |
śakṛtas tu pratīghātād vāyur viguṇatāṃ gataḥ ||
ādhmānaṃ ca saśūlaṃ ca mūtrasaṅgaṃ karoti hi |
aśmarīhetukaḥ pūrvaṃ mūtraghāta udāhṛtaḥ ||
aśmarī śarkarā caiva tulye saṃbhavalakṣaṇaiḥ |
śarkarāyā viśeṣaṃ tu śṛṇu kīrtayato mama ||
pacyamānasya pittena bhidyamānasya vāyunā |
śleṣmaṇo 'vayavā bhinnāḥ śarkarā iti saṃjñitāḥ ||
hṛtpīḍā vepathuḥ śūlaṃ kukṣau vahniḥ sudurbalaḥ |
tābhir bhavati mūrcchā ca mūtrāghātaś ca dāruṇaḥ ||
mūtraveganirastāsu tāsu śāmyati vedanā |
yāvadanyā punarnaiti guḍikā srotaso mukham ||
śarkarāsaṃbhavasyaitanmūtrāghātasya lakṣaṇam |
cikitsitamathaiteṣāmaṣṭānām api vakṣyate ||
aśmarīṃ ca samāśritya yad uktaṃ prasamīkṣya tat |
yathādoṣaṃ prayuñjīta snehādim api ca kramam ||
śvadaṃṣṭrāśmabhidau kumbhīṃ hapuṣāṃ kaṇṭakārikām |
balāṃ śatāvarīṃ rāsnāṃ varuṇaṃ girikarṇikām ||
tathā vidārigandhādiṃ saṃhṛtya traivṛtaṃ pacet |
tailaṃ ghṛtaṃ vā tat peyaṃ tena vāpy anuvāsanam ||
dadyād uttarabastiṃ ca vātakṛcchropaśāntaye |
śvadaṃṣṭrāsvarase tailaṃ saguḍakṣīranāgaram ||
paktvā tat pūrvavadyojyaṃ tatrānilarujāpaham |
tṛṇotpalādikākolīnyagrodhādigaṇaiḥ kṛtam(śṛtam) ||
pītaṃ ghṛtaṃ pittakṛcchraṃ nāśayet kṣīram eva vā |
dadyāduttarabastiṃ ca pittakṛcchropaśāntaye ||
ebhir eva kṛtaḥ snehastrividheṣv api bastiṣu |
hitaṃ virecanaṃ cekṣukṣīradrākṣārasair yutam ||
surasoṣakamustādau varuṇādau ca yat kṛtam |
tailaṃ tathā yavāgvādi kaphāghāte praśasyate ||
yathādoṣocchrayaṃ kuryād etān eva ca sarvaje |
phalguvṛś cīradarbhāśmasāracūrṇaṃ ca vāriṇā ||
surekṣurasadarbhāmbupītaṃ kṛcchrarujāpaham |
tathābhighātaje kuryāt sadyovraṇacikitsitam ||
mūtrakṛcchre śakṛjjāte kāryā vātaharī kriyā |
svedāvagāhāvabhyaṅgabasticūrṇakriyās tathā ||
ye tvanye tu tathā kṛcchre tayoḥ proktaḥ kriyāvidhiḥ ||
iti suśrutasaṃhitāyām uttaratantrāntargate kāyacikitsātantre mūtrakṛcchrapratiṣedho nāma (ekaviṃśatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ, āditaḥ) ekonaṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||59 ||

aṣṭatriṃśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ |

athāto yonivyāpatpratiṣedhaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
yathovāca bhagavān dhanvantariḥ ||
pravṛddhaliṅgaṃ puruṣaṃ yātyartham upasevate |
rūkṣadurbalabālā yā tasyā vāyuḥ prakupyati ||
sa duṣṭo yonim āsādya yonirogāya kalpate |
trayāṇām api doṣāṇāṃ yathāsvaṃ lakṣaṇena tu ||
viṃśatir vyāpado yoner nirdiṣṭā rogasaṃgrahe |
mithyācāreṇa yāḥ strīṇāṃ praduṣṭenārtavena ca ||
jāyante bījadoṣāc ca
daivāc ca śṛṇu tāḥ pṛthak |
udāvartā tathā vandhyā viplutā ca pariplutā ||
vātalā ceti vātotthāḥ pittotthā rudhirakṣarā |
vāminī snāṃsinī cāpi putraghnī pittalā ca yā ||
atyānandā ca yā yoniḥ karṇinī caraṇādvayam |
śleṣmalā ca kaphāj jñeyā ṣaṇḍākhyā phalinī tathā ||
mahatī sūcivaktrā ca sarvajeti tridoṣajā |
saphenilam udāvartā rajaḥ kṛcchreṇa muñcati ||
vandhyāṃ naṣṭārtavāṃ vidyād viplutāṃ nityavedanām |
pariplutāyāṃ bhavati grāmyadharme rujā bhṛśam ||
vātalā karkaśā stabdhā śūlanistodapīḍitā |
catasṛṣv api cādyāsu bhavanty anilavedanāḥ ||
sadāhaṃ prakṣaratyasraṃ yasyāṃ sā lohitakṣarā |
savātam udgired bījaṃ vāminī rajasā yutam ||
prasraṃsinī syandate tu kṣobhitā duḥprasūś ca yā |
sthitaṃ sthitaṃ hanti garbhaṃ putraghnī raktasaṃsravāt ||
atyarthaṃ pittalā yonir dāhapākajvarānvitā |
catasṛṣv api cādyāsu pittaliṅgocchrayo bhavet ||
atyānandā na santoṣaṃ grāmyadharmeṇa gacchati |
karṇinyāṃ karṇikā yonau śleṣmāsṛgbhyāṃ prajāyate ||
maithune 'caraṇā pūrvaṃ puruṣād atiricyate |
bahuśaś cāticaraṇād anyā bījaṃ na vindati ||
śleṣmalā picchilā yoniḥ kaṇḍūyuktātiśītalā |
catasṛṣv api cādy āsu śleṣmaliṅgocchritir bhavet ||
anārtavastanā ṣaṇḍī kharasparśā ca maithune |
atikāyagṛhītāyās taruṇyāḥ phalinī bhavet ||
vivṛtātimahāyoniḥ sūcīvaktrātisaṃvṛtā |
sarvaliṅgasamutthānā sarvadoṣaprakopajā ||
catasṛṣv api cādyāsu sarvaliṅgocchritir bhavet |
pañcāsādhyā bhavantīmā yonayaḥ sarvadoṣajāḥ ||
pratidoṣaṃ tu sādhyāsu snehādikrama iṣyate |
dadyād uttarabastīṃś ca viśeṣeṇa yathoditān ||
karkaśāṃ śītalāṃ stabdhām alpasparśāṃ ca maithune |
kumbhīsvedair upacaret sānūpaudakasaṃyutaiḥ ||
madhurauṣadhasaṃyuktān veśavārāṃś ca yoniṣu |
nikṣiped dhārayec cāpi picutailam atandritaḥ ||
dhāvanāni ca pathyāni kurvītāpūraṇāni ca |
oṣacoṣānvitāsūktaṃ kuryāc chītaṃ vidhiṃ bhiṣak ||
durgandhāṃ picchilāṃ cāpi cūrṇaiḥ pañcakaṣāyajaiḥ |
pūrayed rājavṛkṣādikaṣāyaiś cāpi dhāvanam ||
yonyāṃ tu pūyasrāviṇyāṃ śodhanadravyasaṃbhṛtaiḥ |
sagomūtraiḥ salavaṇaiḥ śodhanaṃ hitam iṣyate ||
bṛhatīphalakalkasya dviharidrāyutasya ca |
kaṇḍūmatīm alpasparśāṃ pūrayed dhūpayet tathā ||
vartiṃ pradadyāt karṇinyāṃ śodhanadravyasaṃbhṛtām |
prasraṃsinīṃ ghṛtābhyaktāṃ kṣīrasvinnāṃ praveśayet ||
pidhāya veśavāreṇa tato bandhaṃ samācaret |
pratidoṣaṃ vidadhyāc ca surāriṣṭāsavān bhiṣak ||
prātaḥ prātarniṣeveta rasonāduddhṛtaṃ rasam |
kṣīramāṃsarasaprāyam āhāraṃ vidadhīta ca ||
śukrārtavādayo doṣāḥ stanarogāś ca kīrtitāḥ |
klaibyasthānāni mūḍhasya garbhasya vidhir eva ca ||
garbhiṇī prati rogeṣu cikitsā cāpy udāhṛtā |
sarvathā tāṃ prayuñjīta yonivyāpatsu buddhimān |
apaprajātā rogāṃś ca cikitsed uttarād bhiṣak ||
iti suśrutasaṃhitāyām uttaratantrāntargate kumāratantre yonivyāpatpratiṣedho nāma (dvādaśo 'dhyāyaḥ, ādito ')aṣṭatriṃśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||38 ||

niśācarebhyo rakṣyas tu nityam eva kṣatāturaḥ |
iti yat prāgabhihitaṃ vistaras tasya vakṣyate ||
guhyānāgatavijñānam anavasthāsahiṣṇutā |
kriyā vāmānuṣī yasmin sagrahaḥ parikīrtyate ||
aśuciṃ bhinnamaryādaṃ kṣataṃ vā yadi vākṣatam |
hiṃsyur hiṃsāvihārārthaṃ satkārārtham athāpi vā ||
asaṅkhyeyā grahagaṇā grahādhipatayas tu ye |
vyajyante vividhākārā bhidyante te tathāṣṭadhā ||
devās tathā śatrugaṇāś ca teṣāṃ gandharvayakṣāḥ pitaro bhujaṅgāḥ |
rakṣāṃsi yā cāpi piśācajātireṣo 'ṣṭako devagaṇo grahākhyaḥ ||
saṃtuṣṭaḥ śucir api ceṣṭagandhamālyo nistandrī hy avitathasaṃskṛtaprabhāṣī |
tejasvī sthiranayano varapradātā brahmaṇyo bhavati naraḥ sa devajuṣṭaḥ ||
saṃsvedī dvijagurudevadoṣavaktā jihmākṣo vigatabhayo vimārgadṛṣṭiḥ |
santuṣṭo bhavati na cānnapānajātairduṣṭātmā bhavati ca devaśatrujuṣṭaḥ ||
hṛṣṭātmā pulinavanāntaropasevī svācāraḥ priyaparigītagandhamālyaḥ |
nṛtyan vai prahasati cāru cālpaśabdaṃ gandharvagrahaparipīḍito manuṣyaḥ ||
tāmrākṣaḥ priyatanuraktavastradhārī gambhīro drutamatiralpavāk sahiṣśuḥ |
tejasvī vadati ca kiṃ dadāmi kasmai yo yakṣagrahaparipīḍito manuṣyaḥ ||
pretebhyo visṛjati saṃstareṣu piṇḍān śāntātmā jalam api cāpasavyavastraḥ |
māṃsepsustilaguḍapāyasābhikāmastadbhukto bhavati pitṛgrahābhibhūtaḥ ||
bhūmau yaḥ prasarati sarpavat kadācit sṛkkiṇyau vilikhati jihvayā tathaiva |
nidrālurguḍamadhudugdhapāyasepsurvijñeyo bhavati bhujaṅgamena juṣṭaḥ ||
māṃsāsṛgvividhasurāvikāralipsurnirlajjo bhṛśamatiniṣṭhuro 'tiśūraḥ |
krodhālurvipulabalo niśāvihārī śaucadviḍ bhavati ca rakṣasā gṛhītaḥ ||
uddhastaḥ kṛśaparuṣaś cirapralāpī durgandho bhṛśamaśucistathātilolaḥ |
bahvāśī vijanahimāmburātrisevī vyāvigno bhramati rudan piśācajuṣṭaḥ ||
sthūlākṣastvaritagatiḥ svaphenalehī nidrāluḥ patati ca kampate ca yo 'ti |
yaś cādridviradanagādivicyutaḥ san saṃsṛṣṭo na bhavati vārdhakena juṣṭaḥ ||
devagrahāḥ paurṇamāsyāmasurāḥ sandhyayor api |
gandharvāḥ prāyaśo 'ṣṭamyāṃ yakṣāś ca pratipadyatha ||
kṛṣṇakṣaye ca pitaraḥ paś camyām api coragāḥ |

avapīḍe 'ñjane caiva vidadhyād guṭikīkṛtam |
vidadhīta parīṣeke kvathitaṃ cūrṇitaṃ tathā ||

hanyādalpena kālena snehādirapi ca kramaḥ |

praklinnatvāc charīrāṇāṃ varṣāsu bhiṣajā khalu |
mande 'gnau kopam āyānti sarveṣāṃ mārutādayaḥ ||
tasmāt kledaviśuddhyarthaṃ doṣasaṃharaṇāya ca |
kaṣāyatiktakaṭukai rasair yuktam apadravam ||
nātisnigdhaṃ nātirūkṣam uṣṇaṃ dīpanam eva ca |
deyam annaṃ nṛpataye yaj jalaṃ coktam āditaḥ ||

ahni meghānilāviṣṭe 'tyarthaśītāmbusaṅkule ||
taruṇatvād vidāhaṃ ca gacchanty oṣadhayas tadā |

śarkarākhaṇḍadigdhāni sugandhīni himāni ca ||
pānakāni ca seveta manthāṃś cāpi saśarkarān |
bhojanaṃ ca hitaṃ śītaṃ saghṛtaṃ madhuradravam ||
śṛtena payasā rātrau śarkarāmadhureṇa ca |
pratyagrakusumākīrṇe śayane harmyasaṃsthite ||
śayīta candanārdrāṅgaḥ spṛśyamāno 'nilaiḥ sukhaiḥ |
tāpātyaye hitā nityaṃ rasā ye guravas trayaḥ ||
payo māṃsarasāḥ koṣṇāstailāni ca ghṛtāni ca |
bṛṃhaṇaṃ cāpi yat kiñcid abhiṣyandi tathaiva ca ||
nidāghopacitaṃ caiva prakupyantaṃ samīraṇam |
nihanyād anilaghnena vidhinā vidhikovidaḥ ||

nirūhairbastibhiś cānyais tathānyair mārutāpahaiḥ ||
kupitaṃ śamayed vāyuṃ vārṣikaṃ cācared vidhim |
ṛtāv ṛtau ya etena vidhinā vartate naraḥ ||
ghorān ṛtukṛtān rogān nāpnoti sa kadācana |
ata ūrdhvaṃ dvādaśāśanapravicārān vakṣyāmaḥ |
tatra śīroṣṇasnigdharūkṣadravaśuṣkaikakālikadvikālikauṣadhayuktamātrāhīnadoṣapraśamanavṛttyarthāḥ ||
tṛṣṇoṣṇamadadāhārtān raktapittaviṣāturān |
mūrcchārtān strīṣu ca kṣīṇān śītair annair upācaret ||
kaphavātam āmayāviṣṭān viriktān snehapāyinaḥ |
aklinnakāyāṃś ca narān uṣṇair annair upācaret ||
vātikān rūkṣadehāṃś ca vyavāyopahatāṃs tathā |
vyāyāminaś cāpi narān snigdhair annair upācaret ||
medasābhiparītāṃs tu snigdhān mehāturān api |
kaphābhipannadehāṃś ca rūkṣair annair upācaret ||
śuṣkadehān pipāsārtān durbalān api ca dravaiḥ |
praklinnakāyān vraṇinaḥ śuṣkair mehina eva ca ||
ekakālaṃ bhaved deyo durbalāgnivivṛddhaye |
samāgnaye tathāhāro dvikālam api pūjitaḥ ||
auṣadhadveṣiṇe deyas tathauṣadhasamāyutaḥ |
mandāgnaye rogiṇe ca mātrāhīnaḥ praśasyate ||
yathartudattas tv āhāro doṣapraśamanaḥ smṛtaḥ |
ataḥ paraṃ tu svasthānāṃ vṛttyarthaṃ sarva eva ca |
pravicārānimān evaṃ dvādaśātra prayojayet ||
ata ūrdhvaṃ daśauṣadhakālān vakṣyāmaḥ |
tatrābhaktaṃ prāgbhaktam adhobhaktaṃ madhyebhaktam antarābhaktaṃ sabhaktaṃ sāmudgaṃ muhurmuhur grāsaṃ grāsāntaraṃ ceti daśauṣadhakālāḥ ||
tatrābhaktaṃ tu yat kevalam evauṣadham upayujyate ||
vīryādhikaṃ bhavati bheṣajam annahīnaṃ hanyāt tathā++āmayam asaṃśayam āśu caiva |
tad bālavṛddhavanitāmṛdavas tu pītvā glāniṃ parāṃ samupayānti balakṣayaṃ ca ||
prāgbhaktaṃ nāma yat prāgbhaktasyopayujyate ||
śīghraṃ vipākam upayāti balaṃ na hiṃsyād
annāvṛtaṃ na ca muhur vardanān nireti |
prāgbhaktasevitam athauṣadham etad eva
dadyāc ca vṛddhaśiśubhīrukṛśāṅganābhyaḥ ||
adhobhaktaṃ nāma yad adho bhaktasyeti ||
madhye bhaktaṃ nāma yan madhye bhaktasya pīyate ||
pītaṃ yad annam upayujya tad ūrdhvakāye
hanyād gadān bahuvidhāṃś ca balaṃ dadāti |
madhye tu pītam apahanty avisāribhāvād
ye madhyadeham abhibhūya bhavanti rogāḥ ||
antarābhaktaṃ nāma yad antarā pīyate pūrvāparayor bhaktayoḥ ||
sabhaktaṃ nāma yat saha bhaktena ||
pathyaṃ sabhaktam abalābalayor hi nityaṃ
tad dveṣiṇām api tathā śiśuvṛddhayoś ca |
hṛdyaṃ manobalakaraṃ tv atha dīpanaṃ ca
pathyaṃ sadā bhavati cāntarabhaktakaṃ yat ||
sāmudgaṃ nāma yad bhaktasyādāvante ca pīyate ||
doṣe dvidhā pravisṛte tu samudgasaṃjñam ādyantayor yad aśanasya niṣevyate tu ||
muhur muhur nāma sabhaktam abhaktaṃ vā yad auṣadhaṃ muhur muhur upayujyate ||
śvāse muhurmuhur atiprasṛte ca kāse hikkāvamīṣu sa vadanty upayojyam etat ||
grāsaṃ tu yatpiṇḍavyāmiśram ||
grāsāntaraṃ tu yad grāsāntareṣu ||
grāseṣu cūrṇam abalāgniṣu dīpanīyaṃ
vājīkarāṇy api tu yojayituṃ yateta |
grāsāntareṣu vitared vamanīyadhūmān
śvāsādiṣu prathitadṛṣṭaguṇāṃś ca lehān ||
evam ete daśauṣadhakālāḥ ||
visṛṣṭe viṇmūtre viśadakaraṇe dehe ca sulaghau |
viśuddhe codgāre hṛdi suvimale vāte ca sarati |
tathānnaśraddhāyāṃ klamaparigame kukṣau ca śithile |
pradeyas tv āhāro bhavati bhiṣajāṃ kālaḥ sa tu mataḥ ||

atrāsāṃ tantrayuktīnāṃ kiṃ prayojanam ucyate vākyayojanam arthayojanaṃ ca ||
bhavanti cātra ślokāḥ—
asadvādiprayuktānāṃ vākyānāṃ pratiṣedhanam |
svavākyasiddhir api ca kriyate tantrayuktitaḥ ||
vyāktā noktās tu ye hy arthā līnā ye cāpy anirmalāḥ |
leśoktā ye ca kecit syus teṣāṃ cāpi prasādhanam ||
yathāmbujavanasyārkaḥ pradīpo veśmano yathā |
prabodhasya prakāśārthaṃ tathā tantrasya yuktayaḥ ||
tatra yam artham adhikṛtyocyate tad adhikaraṇaṃ; yathā rasaṃ doṣaṃ vā ||
yena vākyaṃ yujyate sa yogaḥ |
yathā tailaṃ pibec cāmṛtavalli nimba hiṃsrābhayā vṛkṣakapippalībhiḥ |
siddhaṃ balābhyāṃ ca sadevadāru hitāya nityaṃ galagaṇḍaroge |
ity atra tailaṃ siddhaṃ pibed iti prathamaṃ vaktavye tṛtīyapāde siddham iti prayuktaṃ, evaṃ dūrasthānām api padānām ekīkaraṇaṃ yogaḥ ||
yo 'rtho 'bhihitaḥ sūtre pade vā sa padārthaḥ; padasya padayoḥ padānāṃ vārthaḥ padārthaḥ; aparimitāś ca padārthāḥ |
yathā sneha svedāñjaneṣu nirdiṣṭeṣu dvayos trayāṇāṃ vārthānām upapattir dṛśyate, tatra yo 'rthaḥ pūrvāparayoga siddho bhavati sa grahītavyaḥ; yathā vedotpattim adhyāyaṃ vyākhyāsyāma ity ukte sandihyate buddhiḥ katamasya vedasyotpattiṃ vakṣyatīti, yataḥ ṛgvedādayas tu vedāḥ; vida vicāraṇe, vidḷ lābhe, ity etayoś ca dhātvor anekārthayoḥ prayogāt, tatra pūrvāpara yogam upalabhya pratipattir bhavati āyurvedotpattim ayaṃ vivakṣur iti; eṣa padārthaḥ ||
yad anyad uktam anyārthasādhakaṃ bhavati sa hetvarthaḥ |
yathā mṛtpiṇḍo 'dbhiḥ praklidyate tathā māṣa dugdha prabhṛtibhir vraṇaḥ praklidyata iti ||
samāsa vacanam uddeśaḥ |
yathā śalyam iti ||
vistaravacanaṃ nirdeśaḥ |
yathā śārīram āgantukaṃ ceti ||
evam ity upadeśaḥ |
yathā tathā na jāgṛyād rātrau divāsvapnaṃ ca varjayet iti ||
anena kāraṇenety apadeśaḥ, yathāpadiśyate madhuraḥ śleṣmāṇam abhivardhayatīti ||
prakṛtasyātikrāntena sādhanaṃ pradeśaḥ |
yathā devadattasyānena śalyam uddhṛtaṃ tathā yajñadattasyāpy ayam uddhariṣyatīti ||
prakṛtasyānāgatasya sāghanam atideśaḥ |
yathā yato 'sya vāyur ūrdhvam uttiṣṭhate tenodāvartī syād iti ||
abhivyāpyāpakarṣaṇam apavargaḥ |
yathā asvedyā viṣopasṛṣṭāḥ, anyatra kīṭaviṣād iti ||
yena padenānuktena vākyaṃ samāpyeta sa vākyaśeṣaḥ |
yathā śiraḥpāṇipādapārśvapṛṣṭhodarorasām ity ukte puruṣagrahaṇaṃ vināpi gamyate puruṣasyeti ||
yadakīrtitamarthādāpadyate sārthāpattiḥ |
yathā odanaṃ bhokṣye ity ukte 'rthādāpannaṃ bhavati nāyaṃ pipāsur yavāgūm iti ||
yadyatrābhihitaṃ tasya prātilomyaṃ viparyayaḥ |
yathā kṛśālpaprāṇabhīravo duścikitsyā ity ukte viparītaṃ gṛhyate dṛḍhādayaḥ sucikitsyā iti ||
prakaraṇāntareṇa samāpanaṃ prasaṅgaḥ, yadvā prakaraṇāntarito yo 'rtho 'sakṛduktaḥ samāpyate sa prasaṅgaḥ | yathā pañcamahābhūtaśarīrisamavāyaḥ puruṣas tasmin kriyā so 'dhiṣṭhānam iti vedotpattāv abhidhāya, bhūtacintāyāṃ punar uktaṃ yato 'bhihitaṃ pañcamahābhūtaśarīrisamavāyaḥ puruṣa iti, sa khalv eṣa karmapuruṣaś cikitsādhikṛta iti ||
(sarvatra) yad avadhāraṇenocyate sa ekāntaḥ |
yathā trivṛd virecayati, madanaphalaṃ vāmayati (eva) ||
kvacit tathā kvacid anyatheti yaḥ so 'nekāntaḥ |
yathā kecid ācāryā bruvate dravyaṃ pradhānaṃ, kecid rasaṃ, kecid vīryaṃ kecid vipākam iti ||
ākṣepapūrvakaḥ praśnaḥ pūrvapakṣaḥ |
yathā kathaṃ vātanimittāś catvāraḥ pramehā asādhyā bhavantīti ||
tasyottaraṃ nirṇayaḥ |
yathā śarīraṃ prapīḍya paścād adho gatvā vasāmedomajjānuviddhaṃ mūtraṃ visṛjati vātaḥ, evam asādhyā vātajā iti ||
tathā coktam kṛtsnaṃ śarīraṃ niṣpīḍya medomajjāvasāyutaḥ |
adhaḥ prakupyate vāyus tenāsādhyās tu vātajāḥ ||
paramatamapratiṣiddham anumatam |
yathā anyo brūyāt sapta rasā iti, tac cāpratiṣedhād anumanyate kathaṃcid iti ||
prakaraṇānupūrvyābhihitaṃ vidhānam |
yathā sakthimarmāṇy ekādaśa prakaraṇānupūrvyābhihitāni ||
evaṃ vakṣyatīty anāgatāvekṣaṇam |
yathā ślokasthāne brūyāt cikitsiteṣu vakṣyāmīti ||
yat pūrvam uktaṃ tad atikrāntāvekṣaṇam |
yathā cikitsiteṣu brūyāt ślokasthāne yad īritam iti ||
ubhayahetudarśanaṃ saṃśayaḥ |
yathā talahṛdayābhighātaḥ prāṇaharaḥ, pāṇipādacchedanam aprāṇaharam iti ||
tantre 'tiśayopavarṇanaṃ vyākhyānam |
yathā iha pañcaviṃśatikaḥ puruṣo vyākhyāyate, anyeṣv āyurvedatantreṣu bhūtādiprabhṛtyārabhya cintā ||
anyaśāstrāsāmānyā svasaṃjñā |
yathā mithunam iti madhusarpiṣor grahaṇaṃ; lokaprasiddham udāharaṇaṃ vā ||
niścitaṃ vacanaṃ nirvacanam | yathā āyur vidyate 'sminn anena vā āyur vindatīty āyurvedaḥ ||
dṛṣṭāntavyaktir nidarśanam |
yathā agnir vāyunā sahitaḥ kakṣe vṛddhiṃ gacchati tathā vātapittakaphaduṣṭo vraṇa iti ||
idam eva kartavyam iti niyogaḥ |
yathā pathyam eva bhoktavyam iti ||
idaṃ cedaṃ ceti samuccayaḥ |
yathā māṃsavarge eṇahariṇādayo lāvatittiriśāraṅgāś ca pradhānānīti ||
idaṃ vedaṃ veti vikalpaḥ |
yathā rasaudanaḥ saghṛtā yavāgūr vā (bhavatv iti) ||
yad anirdiṣṭaṃ buddhyā +avagamyate tad ūhyam |
yathā abhihitam annapānavidhau caturvidhaṃ cānnam upadiśyate bhakṣyaṃ bhojyaṃ lehyaṃ peyam iti, evaṃ caturvidhe vaktavye dvividham abhihitam; idam atrohyam annapāne viśiṣṭayor dvayor grahaṇe kṛte caturṇām api grahaṇaṃ bhavatīti; caturvidhaś cāhāraḥ praviralaḥ, prāyeṇa dvividha eva; ato dvitvaṃ prasiddham iti |
kiñ cānyat annena bhakṣyam avaruddhaṃ, ghanasādharmyāt; peyena lehyaṃ, dravasādhamyāt ||
bhavanti cātra sāmānyadarśanenāsāṃ vyavasthā saṃpradarśitā |
viśeṣas tu yathāyogam upadhāryo vipaś citā ||
dvātriṃśadyuktayo hy etās tantrasāragaveṣaṇe |
mayā samyag vinihitāḥ śabdārthanyāyasaṃyutāḥ ||
yo hy etā vidhivad vetti dīpībhūtās tu buddhimān |
sa pūjārho bhiṣakśreṣṭha iti dhanvantarer matam ||
iti suśrutasaṃhitāyām uttaratantre tantrabhūṣaṇādhyāyeṣu tantrayuktir nāma (tṛtīyo 'dhyāyaḥ, āditaḥ) pañcaṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||65 ||

athāto doṣabhedavikalpam adhyāyaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
yathovāca bhagavān dhanvantariḥ ||
aṣṭāṅgavedividvāṃsaṃ divodāsaṃ mahaujasam |
chinnaśāstrārthasaṃdehaṃ sūkṣmāgādhāgamodadhim |
viśvāmitrasutaḥ śrīmān suśrutaḥ paripṛcchati |
dviṣaṣṭirdoṣabhedā ye purastātparikīrtitāḥ ||
kati tatraikaśo jñeyā dviśo vāpy athavā triśaḥ |
tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā saṃśayacchinmahātapāḥ ||
prītātmā nṛpaśārdūlaḥ suśrutāyāha tattvataḥ |
trayo doṣā dhātavaś ca purīṣaṃ mūtram eva ca ||
dehaṃ sandhārayanty ete hy avyāpannā rasair hitaiḥ |
puruṣaḥ ṣoḍaśakalaḥ prāṇāś caikādaśaiva ye ||
rogāṇāṃ tu sahasraṃ yac chataṃ viṃśatir eva ca |
śataṃ ca pañca dravyāṇāṃ trisaptatyadhikottaram ||
vyāsataḥ kīrtitaṃ taddhi bhinnā doṣāstrayo guṇāḥ |
dviṣaṣṭidhā bhavanty ete bhūyiṣṭham iti niś cayaḥ ||
traya eva pṛthak doṣā dviśo nava samādhikaiḥ |
trayodaśādhikaikadvisamam adhyolbaṇais triśaḥ ||
pañcāśad evaṃ tu saha bhavanti kṣayam āgataiḥ |
kṣīṇamadhyādhikakṣīṇakṣīṇavṛddhais tathāparaiḥ ||
dvādaśaivaṃ samākhyātās trayo doṣā dviṣaṣṭidhā |
miśrā dhātumalairdoṣā yānty asaṃkhyeyatāṃ punaḥ ||
tasmāt prasaṅgaṃ saṃyamya doṣabhedavikalpanaiḥ |
rogaṃ viditvopacared rasabhedair yathair itaiḥ ||
bhiṣak kartātha karaṇaṃ rasā doṣās tu kāraṇam |
kāryam ārogyam evaikam anārogyam ato 'nyathā ||
adhyāyānāṃ tu ṣaṭṣaṣṭyā grathitārthapadakramam |
evam etad aśeṣeṇa tantram uttaram ṛddhimat ||
spaṣṭagūḍhārthavijñānam agāḍham andacetasām |
yathāvidhi yathāpraśnaṃ bhavatāṃ parikīrtitam ||
sahottaraṃ tv etad adhītya sarvaṃ brāhmaṃ vidhānena yathoditena |
na hīyate 'rthān manaso 'bhyupetād etad vaco brahmam atīvasatyam ||
iti suśrutasaṃhitāyām uttaratantre doṣabhedavikalpo nāma ṣaṭṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||66 ||
