ubhayor api cāpoddhṛtasyāsatyatvaṃ samānaṃ || tathā ⸤hi | aniyatānupūrviko yathārthaṃ kalpitānvayavyatirekanibaṃdhano vākyavādināṃ padāpoddhāraḥ || evaṃ padavādināṃ ⸤śāstre yānvayavyatirekanimittārthoddhāravaśaḥ prakṛtipratyayāpoddhāraḥ || yad āha vākyakāraḥ || siddhaṃ tv anvayavyatire¦⸤kābhyām iti || tatra sāmānyaṃ bhinnatvaṃ dvidheti evam ādiko viśeṣa iti vidhārthe dhāpratyayopapattiḥ prakāro hi vidhā⸤rthaḥ sa ca sāmānyasya bhedako viśeṣaḥ sādṛśyam eva sarvatra prakā...raḥ kaiścid iṣyata ity ekīyaṃmataṃ || kaiścid iti ⸤vacanāt | bhede 'pi tu prakārākhyā kaiścid abhyupagamyata iti coktam | yadi cātra buddhirūpaprakalpitaṃ sādṛśyam eva vidhārthaḥ jñānapratibiṃbitasya hi bāhyānukāritvena sādṛśyaṃ sarvatra prakārārthaḥ saṃkalpitasadṛśasyābāhyasya⸤nirvarṇanāt || vākyāc cāpoddhriyamāṇasya padasya vākyāṃtarāparikalpanayārthavata evāpoddhāro yuktaḥ | arthā⸤poddhāra eva hi padāthoddhārasya nimittaṃ || animitte hi tasmin varṇāpoddhārasyāpi prasaṃgāt teṣām api vyutpādyatā ⸤syāt ||
vākyārthaś ca sthitalakṣaṇo niraṃśaḥ kārakotkalīnaśarīrakriyāsvabhāvaḥ || tatra cāṃśāṃśikalpanayā ⸤poddhāre kārakātmā kriyātmā na pravibhāgārha iti siddhasādhyalakṣaṇāṃśadvayaviṣayaḥ padāpoddhāro dviviyaḥ ⸤nāmākhyātarūpaḥ prathamakalpitaḥ śaktiśaktimator abhedāt kārakātmā siddharūpo ṃśaḥ || yady api ca nāmapadānāṃ Lpratyayārthasya saṃkhyādeḥ śābdaṃ prādhānyaṃ tathāpy arthataḥ prātipadikārthasya jātyādyaṃkuritasya dravyasyaiva prādhānyaṃ siddharūpasya saṃkhyākārakaśaktīnāṃ tadāśrayatvād anayor eva ca nāmākhyātayor viśeṣatvān nipātopasargakarma⸤pravacanīyalakṣaṇaḥ padabhedo ṃtarbhavati ||
tathā hi siddhārthābhidhāyi nāmapadam iti tadarthagataṃ viśeṣaṃ dyotaya⸤nnipātaḥ | tatraivāṃtarbhavati || siddhaṃ hy arthaṃ sākṣād vābhidadhātu tadgataṃ viśeṣaṃ vā prakāśayatu neyatā bhedaḥ || svarāda⸤yas tu kecit satvapradhānā eveti te pi nāmapadam eva || ye tu hirugādayaḥ kriyāpradhānās teṣām ākhyāte ṃtarbhāvaḥ || ⸤na hi tiṅaṃtam evākhyātaṃ kriyāpradhānasya sarvasyaiva tallakṣaṇatvāt || ata evopasargakarmapravacanīyapadāny a¦⸤py ākhyāta...padam eva sādhyārthaviśeṣadyotanāt || evaṃ nipāto pi tadgatabhedāṃtaravivakṣāyāṃ tu nipātopasarga⸤yor api kaiścit pṛthakkaraṇaṃ || tathā hi || asty evāpoddhāre rthamātrāviśeṣo nayoḥ || na hy etau sākṣād arthaṃ vadataḥ || a⸤pi tu tadgataviśeṣadyotakāv iti vācakābhyāṃ nāmākhyātābhyāṃ pravibhaktau siddhasādhyārthaviṣa...yaviśeṣadyo⸤takatvān nipātānāṃ sādhyaikaniyatatvāc copasargā...ṇāṃ parasparato bhedaḥ || karmapravacanīyās tu kriyāviśeṣo⸤pajanitasaṃbaṃdhāvachedahetava iti saṃbaṃdhaviśeṣadyotanadvāreṇa kriyāviśeṣaprakāśanā upasargeṣv evāṃtarbhavaṃtī⸤ti caturdhaiva || kaiścit padaṃ bhinnaṃ
sākṣāt kriyāviśeṣaprakāśanābhāvāt tad api paṃcamaṃ padam iti kaiścit || tathā Lhi | karma proktavaṃtaḥ karmapravacanīyā iti krāṃtakriyākhyānalakṣaṇasya vyāpārasyātra saṃbhavo na tu vartamānasyeṃ⸤ty upasargato bhedaḥ kriyāgataviśeṣadyotanapūrvakaṃ hi saṃbaṃdhāvachedanam atra vartamānaṃ || tathā hi || sarvaḥ saṃbaṃdhaḥ kri⸤yākṛtaḥ upakārakriyocitatvāt || tasya kriyām aṃtareṇopakārābhāvāt || tatra ruci kriyāśabdaḥ śrūyate kvacin na ⸤yatra śrūyate || tatra śrauta eva saṃbaṃdhaviśeṣāvasāyaḥ || tad yathā | mātuḥ smarati mātuḥ smṛtaṃ sarpiṣo jānīta ityādau ⸤kriyā hi svabhāvād eva kriyāṃtaravyavadhānam evam aṃtareṇa dravyaiḥ saṃyujyate || yasmān mātāpitṛviṣaye pravartate vatiṣṭhate vā ⸤tasmān mātāpitṛsaṃbaṃdhīdaṃ smaraṇam iti kriyākārakabhāvapūrvaka evāyam api saṃbaṃdha iti varṇayeti ||
aśrute tu ⸤kriyāpade dvayī gatiḥ || kvacit saṃbaṃdhasvarūpamahimnaiva kriyākṣepasiddheḥ pratiniyatakārakabhāvapūrvakatvaṃ śe⸤ṣasaṃbaṃdhasya vinaiva karmapravacanīyam avagamyate || upagor apatyaṃ vṛkṣasya śākheti ādāv apatyāpatyavatsaṃbaṃdho ja⸤nikriyānimitto 'vayavāvayavisaṃbaṃdhaś ca sthitikriyānimita ityādi || kvacit tu saṃbaṃdhānāṃ pratiniyata⸤kriyāpūrvakatvāvadhāraṇe nāsti sāmarthyaṃ || tad yathā || rājñaḥ puruṣa ity atra svasvāmibhāvo bharaṇādyanekakriyā⸤nimitta ity evāgamyate || kriyāviśeṣo nāvadhāryate tannimittabhūtaḥ || tathā ca bhāṣyaṃ || yad etat svaṃ nāma tac catu¦⸤rbhiḥ prakārair bhavati bharaṇād apaharaṇāt krayaṇād yācñayeti dānādīnāṃ tv ananyatamāvinābhāvāt kriyānumīyata Leva kvacic ca vinābhāvinī kriyāpi na pratīyate || tathā caivaṃ jātīyake viṣaye karmapravacanīyo niyataviśi⸤ṣṭakriyākṛtatvaṃ saṃbaṃdhasya viśeṣam avagamayati || tad uktaṃ || janayitvā kriyā kācit saṃbaṃdhaṃ vinivartate || śrūyamāṇe ⸤kriyāśabde saṃbaṃdho jñāyate kvacit || sa copajātaḥ saṃbandho vinivṛtte kriyāpade || karmapravacanīyena yatra tatra ni⸤yamyata iti || niyamas tasya niyatakriyāja...nitatvaṃ || tathā hi || śākalyasya saṃhitām anu prāvarṣad iti so 'yaṃ saṃ⸤hitapravarṣaṇayor hetuhetumadbhāvalakṣaṇaḥ saṃbaṃdhaḥ || sa niyatakriyājanita ity anunā vedyate || anuniśamyety atra no⸤r niśamayatikriyāsāhacaryopalabdher iha saṃpātarūpatvāt saṃhitāyās tadanumānasyaucityāt tatra kriyāvacanatvam a⸤syānyatra dṛṣṭaśakter na kalpyaṃ
dyotyārthaniṣṭhaṃ ca dyotakatvam i...ti tad api kriyāpadāprayogād atra nāsti na ca kriyāpadā⸤kṣepakatvaṃ kathā prādeśaṃ viparilikhatīty atra ca lekhanāsamatvayānupapatter mimīte kriyāyakṣepakatvaṃ kārakavi⸤bhaktir hy atra prādeśam iti niyuktas tatsamucitakriyākṣepaḥ || iha tu saṃhitām iti śaiṣakīyaṃ vibhaktir iti kathaṃ kri⸤yākṣepaḥ kriyākārakayor eva parasparam ākṣepyākṣepakabhāvasyāvinābhāvena nyāyyatvāt || tad yathā || praviśa¦ ⸤piṇḍīm ityādau || nāpi saṃbaṃdhavācitvam a...trānoḥ vibhaktyaiva tadabhidhānād evad iti || saṃbaṃdhāvachedasya pratyāyako nānyaḥ ⸤saṃbhavatīti pāriśeṣyād anor atra sāmarthyām adhyavasīyate || tad uktaṃ || kriyāyā dyotano nāyaṃ saṃbaṃdhasya na vācakaḥ Lnāpi kriyāpadākṣepī saṃbaṃdhasya tu bhedaka iti bhedako viśeṣako dyotaka ity arthaḥ | ayam atra bhāvaḥ || yad ananyathā¦⸤siddhaṃ tatrānor vyāpārakasyanā na yuktā || yat punar anyathārthasāmarthyādinā sidhyati || na tatra tasya śaktiḥ kalpayi⸤tuṃ pāryata iti padāṃtarāṇām arthāṃtaraniveśāt saṃbaṃdhaviśeṣasya tato navagatasya karmapravacanīyaviṣayatā si⸤ddhā || nanu ca yad atrādhikyaṃ vākyārthaḥ sa iti kriyāviśeṣajanitatvalakṣaṇaḥ saṃbaṃdhasyāvachedo vākyārthaḥ ki⸤m iti na kathyate 'nos tu paścādbhāvamātravṛttitvam eveti ||
atrocyate || ihādhikyaṃ vākyārthatvenocyamānaṃ padārtha⸤pṛṣṭhapātitvenaivānusaraṇīyaṃ na tu padārthoktaṃ hy anena ta...ttadvākyopāttasya hi sādhyasya vā viśeṣyasya vopāttai⸤r eva sādhanair viśeṣaiś ca saṃsargas tatrādhikyam || tad yathā || gāṃ śuklām ānaya || nīlotpalam iti || ata evocyate | ā⸤śrayāśrayiṇor vākyān niyamas tv avatiṣṭhate || iyaṃ cānupāttasyaiva ...padārthasya vākyārthāt pratītir nā...stīti na saṃbaṃ⸤dhāvachedo tra vākyārtho 'padārthaḥ śakyate kalpayituṃm iti karmapravacanīyaviṣaya evāyaṃ || yad vakṣyatīti || ni⸤mittaniyamaḥ śabdān na saṃbaṃdhasya gṛhyate || karmapravacanīyais tu svaviśeṣe varudhyata iti || atra ca darśanadvayaṃ sva⸤rūpeṇaiva saṃbaṃdhāṃtaravilakṣaṇakarmapravacanīyena saṃbaṃdho vachidyate kriyāviśeṣajanitatvena veti tatra svarū⸤peṇāvacchede viśeṣakriyājanitatvapratītiḥ saṃbaṃdhiviśeṣaparyālocanālabhyā || tathā hi || adhibrahmadaLtte pāṃcālā iti svasvāmibhāvo 'yaṃ saṃbadha ity adhinā vedyate || brahmadattaś ca svāmīśvaraḥ pāṃcālāś ca janapada ⸤svam iti tayoḥ saṃbaṃdhinoḥ paripālanakarādānādikriyāprabhāvita eva saṃbaṃdho nyāyya ity avagamyate || eva⸤m abhimanyur arjunataḥ pratīti pratinā sādṛśyalakṣaṇo 'yaṃ saṃbaṃdha iti dyotyate || sa punaḥ saṃbaṃdhisvarūpaparyālo⸤canād atra saṃpraharaṇādikriyākṛta ity avagamyate || itthaṃ ca śākalyasaṃhitām anu prāvarṣad ity atrāpi hetu⸤phalabhāvo nāmāyaṃ saṃbaṃdha ity etāvaty evāyam anu viśrāmyati pāṭhaviśeṣarūpatvāt saṃhitāyā niśamanakri⸤yāvagatiḥ śabdaśravaṇena hi devo varṣad iti saṃbaṃdhimahimno viśiṣṭakriyāprabhāvitatvam avasīyate | keci⸤d iyān anor eva vyāpāra ity āhuḥ ||
svarūpāvachede pi ca kriyāyāḥ kāryabhūtasaṃbaṃdhāpekṣayātītatvāt karma pro⸤ktavaṃta ity arthaḥ || samaṃ nety eva vastutaḥ kriyāphalasyaiva saṃbaṃdhasya prakāśanāt || yathā tu tatrabhavadbhartṛhares tatra ⸤tatrābhiprāyo lakṣyate tathā nimittaviśeṣāvacheda eva karmapravacanīyakṛta iti rāddhāṃtaḥ || adhibrahmadatte ⸤paṃcālā iti paripālanakriyāhitatvaṃ svasvāmibhāvasyādhinā vyajyate || abhimanyur arjunataḥ pratīti parā⸤jayādikṛto nukāryānukaraṇabhāvaḥ pratinā prakāśyata ityādi sarvatra yojyaṃ || sustutam atistutam ityādau tu ⸤suḥ pūjāyām atir atikramaṇe cetyādinā karmapravacanīyasaṃjñādhikārikāṃ svārthanirapekṣaivopasargasaṃjñā¦Lbādhanāya pravartate || yathoktaṃ | karmapravacanīyatvaṃ kriyāyoge vidhīyate || ṣatvādivinivṛttyarthaṃ svatyādīnāṃ hi ⸤dharmaṇām iti || arthena tu rūpeṇa vibhāge prastute kriyāvaśeṣāvadyotakatvād upasargapade svatyādir aṃtarbhavati ⸤nāvyāptiḥ || tad evaṃ vākyādayodhriyamāṇasya padasyoddhārārthaviśeṣāśrayeṇa yathāsaṃbaṃdhaṃ bhedo niraṃśakavākya⸤vyutpattyupāyabhūtaḥ pradarśitaḥ || ata evaṃ svādipadaṃ vākyavyutpatyanaṃgatvāc chāstre saṃketitaṃ subaṃtaṃ padaṃ vyutpattyu⸤pāyabhūtaṃ neha gaṇanārhaṃ || prakṛtipratyayavad iti dṛṣṭāṃtapakṣanikṣiptam iti nāvyāptiḥ || padān kilāsāv apoddhāro ⸤na vākyāt ||
tad itthaṃ padāpoddhāre pradarśite tadarthasyāpoddhṛtasya siddhasādhyarūpadvayayogino matabhedena svarū⸤popadarśanārtham āha ||

arthadvāreṇa padaṃ parīkṣyata iti darśanabhedena prathamam apoddhārapadārthavicāraḥ || tathā hi || sarveṣām api śabdā⸤nāṃ padarūpāṇāṃ nāmākhyātādisvabhāvānāṃ jātivādimate jātir evārtho na dravyam || dravyavādimate tu dravyam eva na⸤ jātiḥ || dvitīyena vāśabdena padārthāntaraṃ sūcitaṃ jātiviśiṣṭadravyābhidhānam iti || ata eva tad eva saṃkalanārūpaṃ⸤sphuṭīkṛtam | anyathā vārthe prakrānte vārthopasaṃhāro ayaṃ nopapadyate || tadvad abhidhāne tu anabhidhānaṃ tāvad dvayor api sa⸤mānaṃ viramya vyāpārābhāvāc chabdasya ārthas tu jātidravyayor guṇapradhānabhāvaḥ || yad vā prādhānyenaiva bhinnaviṣayaLtayā pāṇinidarśane jātidravyaśabdenābhidheyete ity ayam atra pakṣaḥ padārthāv ity uktaḥ || tatra nāmapadasya⸤ gaur ity āder gotvādijātiniyatakriyāviṣayasādhanaikasamavetasaṃkhyājātiviśeṣaṇabhāvam āpannā⸤bhidheyā|| anāśrayāyā jāter anupapatteḥ sāmarthyāt pratītaṃ dravyam
evam ākhyātapadasyāpi vibhinnakriyāl⸤kṣaṇasamavetābhinnābhidhānapratyayahetukriyājātiviṣayā sākṣād vācakaśaktiḥ || kārakādijātis tva⸤tra guṇabhūtā nāmapadagatavācaka kārakajatyā kriyājātir ākkhyātapadagatā vyaktidvāreṇa samanvayam eti || ⸤ dravyajatis tu ekārthasamavāyātsādhanaśaktidvāreṇa kriyāyogam anubhavati saṃkhyājātir apy ekārthasamavā⸤yat svavyaktātmanā śaktimukhenaiva kriyānvayam etīti sarvapadārthasamanvayopapattau kalpate vākyārthaḥ ||⸤yathā cotkṣepaṇādikṣaṇais ara ma yabhāvibhir apy āvṛttaukṣepaṇādijātir abhivyajyate || tathādhiśrayaṇādibhiḥ⸤ kriyākṣaṇaiḥ pacatyādikriyājātir iti vicārayiṣyate || vyaktidvārakaṃ cāsyā nityāyā api sādhyatvam upa⸤padyate ||
upasargādir apy atra darśane nāmākhyātasahabhāvī tadarthasya viśeṣāvadyotakatvāj jātipadārtha eva ⸤viśeṣasya viśiṣṭaviśrāntasyaivāvasāyāt karmapravacanīyo 'pi saṃbandhajātiniṣṭha eva guṇaśabdānām api⸤ śuklādīnāṃ guṇajātir vācyā saṃjñāśabdānām api ḍitthādiśabdānāṃ jātivācitvaṃ samarthayiṣyate
tad itthaṃ vājaLpyāyanācāryamatena sārvatrikījātipadārthavyavasthopapadyate || vyāḍimate tu sarvaśabdānāṃ dravyam arthaḥ || tasyai⸤va sākṣāt kriyāsamanvayopapatter vākyārthāṅgatayā codanāviṣayatvāt || yathāha || codanāsu ca tasyārambhād iti ⸤ekajātisamanvayavaśena cātra saṃketopapattiḥ || anabhidhīyamānāpi jātir upalakṣaṇīkriyate śabdārthe || ya⸤thā gṛhādau kākādiḥ || ākhyāte 'pi ca sādhanādhāradravyaprādhānyaṃ vyāḍimate devadattaḥ pacatīti dravyeṇaiva sākṣā⸤t saṃbandhopapatteḥ || kriyā tu guṇabhūtā ātra vyāpārāviṣṭaṃ hi dravyam ākhyātārthaḥ || idaṃ tad iti sarvanāma⸤pratyavamarśayogyaṃ cātra dravyam iti sārvatrikīyaṃ vyavasthā ||tathā ca vakṣyati || dravyadharmā padārthe tu sarvo'rthaḥ || ucya⸤te iti || ata eva śuklādīnām api dravyapadārthatā siddhā || tattad upādhivyavacchinnaṃ vā brahma dravyaśabdavācyam sarva⸤śābdānāṃ viṣaya iti vakṣyata eva vyaktiparyāyo vā dravyaśabda iti || jātivyaktivikalpena sarvaśabdaviṣayah ||⸤ tathā ca sarvaśabdānām ity abhidhānāt tu padād apy apoddhare prakṛtipratyayarūpasyāpi śabdasya yathāyoyaṃ kriyākāra⸤kasaṃkhyādi apoddhārapadārtho jātivyaktibhedena samāmnataḥ || ubhayasyāpi va śabdāt pratiter ubhayapadārthaḥ⸤guṇapradhābhāvabhedāśrayas tu matavikalpaḥ || nityatvopavarṇanam ca siddhe śabdārthasaṃbandha ity atra bhāṣye ya⸤smiṃs tattvena vihanyata iti dravyasyāpinityatvaṃ pravāhanityatayā śabdāt sahaiva vā pratiteḥ ||

tad eLvam etad anaṃtarakāṃḍe darśanadvayam upapāditam iti yathāsaṃbhavaṃ pratinidhiś ca ciṃtitaḥ || idānīṃ jātau śa¦⸤bdenābhidhīyamānāyāṃ tatra jātyaṃtarābhāvān nirnimittā śabdasya pravṛttir āyātety āśaṃkyopapādayitu⸤m āha ||
svajātiḥ prathamaṃ śabdaiḥ sarvair evābhidhīyate ||
tato rthajātirūpeṣu tadadhyāropakalpanā || 6 ||
svī asā⸤dhāraṇī ātmīyā gośabdatvādikā na tu sakalaśabdasādhāraṇī śabdatvādiḥ || evaṃ cāsādhāraṇatvena vi⸤śeṣaṇatayā saṃbaṃdhāvyabhicāraḥ || śabdasyārthajātyā saṃbaṃdhavyabhicāraḥ || śabdasyārthajātyā saṃbaṃdhavyabhicāre ⸤pīti sa jātir eva mukhyam abhidheyam ity uktaṃ bhavati || tathā ca vākyakāraḥ || na vā śabdapūrvako hy arthe saṃpratyaya ⸤iti sata evāvyabhicāriṇyāḥ svarūpajāter arthajātyabhidhāne śabdasya nāṃtarīyakam iti prathamam ity āha ⸤yadabhedena yatpratipattiḥ || tad avaśyaṃ tatra pratipattavyam ity evatātra prāthamyaṃ na tu krameṇābhidhānāt | yad vā saṃ⸤baṃdhavyutpattyapekṣaṃ prāthamyaṃ || tathā hi saṃbaṃdhavyutpattikāle rthajātyā nāsti saṃbaṃdhaḥ || tathātve vācakatve⸤na tatra viniyogo narthakaḥ syāt || arthasya pratipannatvād iti so rthas tāvat tena śabdena na pratipannaḥ || ya⸤di ca svajātyabhidhānaṃ tadānīṃ na syāt || tadānarthakatvād vibhaktiyogo na syād iti prāk saṃjñinābhisaṃbaṃ⸤dhāt saṃjñā rūpapadārthikety uktaṃ rūpaṃ hi svarūpaṃ svā jātir vā darśanabhedena kathyate || sarvaiḥ iti svarūpaparair arthaLparaiś ca tasyā evaṃ svarūpatayā vyavahārāc chabdasvarūpeṇāvasthitā jātiḥ pratipadyate || arthasya jhaṭi⸤ty eva śabdasvarūpābhedenāvabodhe pi yathāpratipāditakramāśrayeṇa tataḥ svajātipratyāyanād anaṃtaraṃ || a⸤rthajātīyānāṃ gotvādīnām ātmasu tasyāḥ śabdajāteḥ samāropasya kalpanā na paramārthaḥ || śabdavivartatve⸤nārthasya śabdāt tatvato bhedābhāvāt ||
yad vā saṃbaṃdhavyutpattikāle gaur avam arthāya ity arthajātyā śabdajā⸤ter atyaṃtabhedāt_ sāmānānyādhikaraṇyānyathānupapattyā'bhedādhyāropaḥ kalpyate || yathā gaur vāhīka iti ⸤anyathā saṃketasyaiva kartum aśakyatvāt || yathā cāyam anādir apauruṣeyo vācyavācakabhāvaḥ || tadādhyā⸤ropo pi anyathā vācyavācakabhāva eva na ghaṭeta || yathā bauddhasya dṛśyavikalpārthaikīkāro bhedānadhya⸤vasāyalakṣaṇaḥ || nanu yathā gaur vāhīka ity atra puruṣechayādhyāropaḥ || vyavahāre śabdārthayoḥ sadaivābhedā⸤vasāyāt katham iyaṃ prativarṇam anabhivyaktī sādhāraṇajātir asamasamayabhāvatri varṇair abhivyajyata i⸤ti cet_ || yathotkṣepaṇamatvādijātir iti brūmaḥ || tathā hi pratyekaṃ karmakṣaṇānām upavyaṃjakatve pi yat pra⸤thamotkṣepaṇakṣaṇaḥ || sa ca paramāṇubhāve deśākramaṇām ātmarūpatvāt_ amaṇākṣaṇā sārūpyavaśā⸤d anavadhāryamāṇabheda ekaiko samartho niyatajātyabhivyaṃjana iti kṣaṇāṃtaram apekṣate || na ca tasya bhrama¦Lṇakṣaṇād viśeṣo nāsti || upakrama evotkṣipāmīty eva prayatnajanitatvāt || evaṃ gośabdam uccārayāmīty ayaṃ ⸤prayatno yady api gānagamanaśabdajanakāt prapatad anya eva || hetubhedād ya gakārayor api bheda eva || tathāpi sā⸤dṛśyād asau duravadhāra iti vyaṃjako pi san_ prathamo dhvanir asphuṭam abhivyanaktīty āvartamāno pi rṇa viśadatara⸤sāmānyaviśeṣābhivyakto hetuḥ yadā va eva prabaṃdhaḥ krameṇopalabdho bhavati || atha śabdajātiviśeṣopā⸤dhiyuktā vyavahārā avatiṣṭhaṃte || tadānīṃ asāhacaryāt parasparāvachedavaśena vilakṣaṇatayā pratibhāsamā⸤natvāt || yathā ca ślokaḥ || sakṛt paṣamāno nāvadhāryate || abhyāsena tu sphuṭāvabhāsaḥ || tathā caramacetasi ca⸤kāsti rabhavatvavat sphoṭatvaṃ prathamākṣareṇa hi jāter ābhāsamātraṃ janyate taduttarottaravarṇakalāpena tu sphu⸤ṭatarasphuṭatamaparicchedādhānaṃ saṃskāraviśeṣotpādanadvāreṇābhivyaktiviśeṣasya rabhatatvādau dṛṣṭeḥ | tasmā⸤c chabdād arthaṃ pratiyathāmaha iti vyavahārād varṇānām arthāvasāyajanakatvānupapatteḥ prakriyānaṃgasyā pratha⸤makāṃḍa eva vihitatvān niravayakaṃ pratyāyakaṃ śabdatatvaṃ jātivyaktibhedena bhinna sphoṭasvabhāvam evāgīkā⸤ryaṃ gaur ayam artha iti ca vācakābhedena vācyapratīteḥ || tadadhyāsaścavitavapur vyavavahāryo rthaḥ || tatra ca svarūpa¦⸤sya vācyatā prathamakāṃḍa eva nirṇītā iha tu saṃbaṃdhamuddeśe pi nirṇeṣyate ||

abhidhāvyāpāralakṣaṇatvam eva vyaktayati ||
jātau padārthe jātir vā viśeṣo ⸤vāpi jātivat ||
śabdair apekṣyate yasmād atas te jātivācinaḥ ||
jātau padārthe iti pakṣāvacchedaṃ karoti || atra hi ⸤pakṣe sarva eva hi śabdo jātivācīty ubhyupagaṃtavyaṃ bhavatu mā bhūj jātiṣu jātiśabdais tu jātir vyatiriktayā ⸤jātyaikasvabhāvaivāpekṣyate || pratyāyyatvena kriyate svālakṣaṇyena hi vastūnāṃ bhedaḥ śabdaiḥ spraṣṭuṃ na śakyate ⸤satve pi rūpāveśena saṃbaṃdhaḥ || vyutpattau śabdasya vācakatvāt tathā ca jātīnām itaretarabhedo vastu satābhidhīyate || api tv abhedakalpena tā abhidhīyaṃte || abhedaś ca sāmānyam iti siddham ekaśabdatvaṃ jātaya iti

sarvaśabdaviṣayatvam evābhivyanakti ||
tāṃ prātipadi⸤kārthaṃ ca dhātvarthaṃ ca pracakṣate ||
sā nityā sā mahān āmā tām āhus tvatalādayaḥ ||
sarvabhāveṣu sadrūpaṃ sāmānyam anuga⸤vaṃ || abhāvasyāpi buddhyākāreṇa nirūpaṇāt_ mahāsattayānayāviyogāt_ prātipadikamātravācyā sattā || tad uktaṃ | ⸤prātipadikārthaḥ satteti dhātubhir api sādhanādhīnalabdhajanmasu kriyāvyaktiṣu samavetā yathopādhyupagṛhīta¦⸤nānātvā sattaivābhidhāyakam āpadyate || siddhasādhyarūpārthadvayātmanā ca tasyā eva ca vṛttes tadapārarādayabhāvā¯L¯ sarvaśabdaviṣayatvaṃ sattāyāḥ | pratyayabhāgenāpy atra yathāyathaṃ saṃkhyākārakādyupādhiviśiṣṭā sattaivābhidhīyate || sā ⸤codayavyayarahitatvān nityā, sapratyayasya sarvadānuvṛtteḥ ||
ete sattāmātrasyātmano mahataḥ ṣaḍ viśeṣapariṇāmāḥ ya⸤taḥ paraṃ viśeṣebhyo liṃgamātraṃ mahattatvaṃ tasminn ete sattāmātre mahaty ātmany avasthāya vikāṣṭhām anubhavaṃti pratisaṃ⸤sṛjyamānāś ca tasmiṃś ca sattāmātre bhavaty ātmany avasthāya yat taṃ niḥsattāsattaṃ niḥsadasad avyaktam aliṃgaṃ tasmin pratī⸤yantīty evaṃ sāṃkhye ṣucitatvaṃ mahacchabdavācyaṃm ānadyaṃ jagatkāraṇaṃ nirdiṣṭam ity ato naṃtarasya vikāragrāmasya kāraṇa⸤rūpānugamāt sattārūpatvam aviruddham iti sattārūpaṃ sarvaṃ jagadākhyātaṃ bhavatīti sattādvaitavādaḥ sāṃkhyanayenāpy upabṛṃ⸤hitaḥ || evaṃ ca sarvaśabdavācyā satī śabdapravṛttinimittabhūteti yathāyathaṃ bhinnopādhibhāvapratyayābhidheyā saiva ⸤|| nanv evaṃ gotvam iti prakṛtipratyayayor ekārthatāprasaṃgaḥ || naitat || upādhibhedena sattāyā bhedāt_ prātipadikena ga⸤vāśrayāyās tasyām abhidhānaṃ pratyayena tu nikṛṣṭāśrayasya sāmānyasyābhidhety adoṣaḥ || prakṛtyarthanimittaś ca bhāva⸤pratyayabheda iti na sāṃkaryaprasaṃgaḥ ||
