arvavyakta mahcānahaṃkārāḥ . pañcatanmātrāṇi cety aṣṭau prakṛtayaḥ śeṣāṣ ṣoḍaśa vikārāḥ |
ctatra sarva evācetana vargaḥ | puruṣaḥ pacñcaviṃśatikañ cetayitā so vikāry akācraṇasaṃyuktas saty apy acaitanye pradhācne | puruṣasya kaivalyārtthāṃ pravṛttim upadiśanti | kṣīrādīñ cātra hetūn udāharanti |
cata ūrddhvaṃ prakṛtipuruṣayos sādharmmyavaidharmmye vyākhyāsyāmaḥ | tadyathā | ubhāv apy anādī | ubhāv apy aLliṃgau | ubhāv apy anantau | ubhāv api nityau | ubhau ca sarvagatāv iti | ekā tu prakṛtir acetanā triguṇā bījadharmaṇī | amaddhyasthadharmmaṇī ceti - bahavas tu puruṣāś cetanāvantaḥ | aguṇāḥ | abījadharmmiṇīḥ | aprasavadharmmicṇaḥ | maddhyasthāś ceti |
tatra kāraṇānurūcpa kāryyam iti kṛtvā sarva evaite viśeṣcāḥ | satvarajastamomayā bhavantī | tadvyañjanactvāt taj janmatvāc ca tatguṇā eva puruṣā bhacvantī.ty eke bhāṣante |

svacbhāvaṃ īśvaraḥ kālo yadracchā niyatis tathā .
pariṇāṃ iti prāhuḥ prakṛtim_ pṛthudarśinaḥ |
tamomayāni bhūtāni tat_Lguṇāny eva lakṣayet .
taiś ca tallakṣaṇāḥ | kṛsnā bhūtagrāmāḥ prajajñire |
tasyopayogo bhihitaś cikit_sām prati sarvadā
bhūtebhyo hi parā cintā yasmāt_ nāsti cikitsite ||
yato hitan tat sam_bhavadravyasamūho bhūtādir iti c imāni bhautikāni cendriyāṇy āyurvecdadvido ubadanti | tathā . indriyārtthāṃś ca |
bhak | indriyeṇendiyartthaṃ tu svaṃ svaṃ gṛhṇāti mcānavaḥ .
niyatan tulyayonitvāt_ nānyenānyacm iti sthitiḥ |
na cāyurvedaśāstreṣūpadiśyattcnte | sarvagatāḥ kṣetrajñāḥ nityāś ca | asarvagateṣu kṣetrajñeṣu anityeṣu puruṣasaṃkhyātiprakārān hetūn udāLharantī | āyurvedasiddhāntāḥ asarvagatā kṣetrajñā anityāś ca tiryagyonimānuṣadeveṣu sañcaranti | dharmmādharmanimittam_ ete numānagrāhyāḥ . paramasūkṣmāś cetanāvantaś ca śoṇitanetasāṃ sannipcādeṣu abhivyañjyante | yato bhihitam_ pañcamachābhūtaśarīrasamavāyaḥ | puruṣa iti | sa khaclv eṣa karmmapuruṣaś cikitsā.yām adhickṛtaḥ
tasya sukhaduḥkham icchādveṣau prayactnaḥ prāṇāpānāv unmeṣanimeṣau buddhir manas saṃkalpo vicāraṇā | smṛtir vijñānam_ ddhyavasāyo viṣayopalabdhiś ca tu dha guṇāḥ
sātvikāLs tu ānṛśaṃsyaṃ saṃvibhāgarucitā titikṣā satyadharmāv āstikyam_ jñānaṃ vijñānaṃ buddhir mmevā dhṛti nabhiṣagaś ceti rājasās tu duḥkhabahulatāṭanataraduśśīlatvam akāruṇyam ānṛtikatvam ahaṃkāro sam_bhamānacharṣa krodha kāmāś ca bhavanti | tāmasās tu vicṣāditvaṃ nāstikyam_ dharmmaśīlatat buddhinicrodho jñānan durmmedhatvam akarmmaśīlatā cnidrālutvañ ceti
āntarikṣāstu śacbdaś śabdendriyam | sarvajidrasamūhe ra viviktactā ca | vāyavyās tu sparśa sparśendriyam sarvaceṣṭāsamūhaḥ | sarvaśarīraspandanam laghutā ca | taijasās tu | rūLpaṃ rūpendriyam_ sa varṇasamūho drājiṣṇutā paktir amarṣas taikṣṇyam_ pīvyañ ca | āpyās tu raso rasanendriyam_ csarvadravasamūhaś śaityam_ sneho tretaś ca pārtthivās tu gandho gandhendriyam_ sarvamūrtisacmūho gurutā ceti |
tatra satvabahulam āckāśam_ rajobahulo vāyuḥ satvaracjobahulāgniḥ sattvatamobahulā ācpaḥ tamobahulā pṛthiviti |
bhavati cātra ślclokaḥ |
anyonyānupraviṣṭāni sarvāṇy etāni nirddiśet |
sve sve dravyeṣu sarveṣām_ vyaktalakṣaṇam iṣyate |
aṣṭau prakṛtiya proktaḥ vikārāṣ ṣoḍaLśaiva tu | kṣetrajñas tu samāsena paratantrasvatantrataḥ ||

tecṣu doṣanimittāni svarṇavedanābhicr vijñeyāni | kuṇapagandhyanalpam_ raktecna granthibhūtam_ śleṣmavātābhyāṃ pūtipūyācbham_ pittaśoṇitābhyām_ kṣīṇaṃ prāg uktacm_ puriṣagandhi sannipāteneti | teṣu kuṇapa gandhi pūya retāṃsi kṛcchrasāddhyāni puriṣaretas tv asāddhyam iti |
Lārttavam iti tribhir ddoṣaiś śoṇitacaturtthair ddvandvais samastaiś copasṛṣṭabījam_ bījam bhavati | tad api docṣavarṇavedanābhir vijñeyam teṣu kuṇapagrandhipūyaprakāśaṃ kṛcchrasāddhyaṃ puriṣārttavam acsāddhyaṃ

ṛtau prathama divasāt_ prabhṛti brahmaccāriṇīm_ snānānulepanālaṃkārācvalekhana rahitāṃ darbha saṃstara śāyinim c karatala śarāva parṇāvyannyatama bhojinim c bhaviṣya tryahaṃ bhartā raṣite | tataś śuddhasnātācñ caturtthyām hata vāsinam | alaṃkṛtāṃ kṛtamaṃgalasvasti vācakāṃ bharttāLran darśayet | api tat_ kasya hetoḥ |
pūrvaṃ paśyed ṛtusnātā yādṛśan naram aṃganā .
tadṛśañ janayet putraṃ bhartāran dacrśayed ataḥ |
tato vidhānaṃ putriyam upāddhyāyas samārabhet .
karmante ca kramañ cedam upeckṣeta vicakṣaṇaḥ |
tato parāhṇe ca pumān sarppikṣīrābhyām śālyodanacm abhiprāśya māsam brahmacārī tailamācṣottarān nārīm upeyāt | rātrau csāmabhir viśvāsyā | saṃkalpya ca evam ṣaṣṭhyām aṣṭamyān daśamyāṃ dvādaśyāṃ vopeyāt |
ataḥ para māsan nopeyāt ||
labdha garbhā nna caiveteṣv aLhassu lakṣmaṇā vaṭa śuṃgā sahadevā viśva devānām anyatamaṃ abhiṣuya trīṃś caturo vā bindūn dadyāt | dakṣiṇe nāsāpuṭe putrakāmāyai vāme strīkāmāyai na caivetan niṣṭhīved iti bhātakā
sphaṭickābhan dravam snigdhama madhuram_ madhugandhi ca |
śuckram icchanti kecit tu kṣaudratailanibhan tacthā |
śaśāsṛk_sadṛśaṃ yat tu yad vā lākṣcārasopamama .
tad ārttavam praśaṃsanti yad vcāpsu na virajyati |
tad evatiprasaṃgena pracvṛttam annṛtāv api .
asṛgdaraṃ vijānīyāt raktalakṣaṇalakṣitam |
dhruvan trayāṇāṃ sānniddhyāt garbha syād vidhiLpūrvakam ||
kṣetrambījodakādīrāṃ sānniddhyād aṅkuro yathā |
evañ jātā rūpāvanto mahāsatvāś cirāyuṣaḥ .
bhavanty āṇapramoktāras satputrāḥ putriṇā hitāḥ |
tatra tejodhātuvarṇānāma prabhava iti kṛtvā dayā cgarbhotoattāv abdhātuprāyo bhavati | tacdā garbhasya gauravaṃ karoti . pṛthivīdhātuḥ cprāyaḥ kāḻabaṃ pṛthivyākāśatoyacdhātuḥ prāya syaśyāmatvam - vādṛśavarṇṇaṃ annacm upasevate | garbhiṇī tādṛkavarṇṇaṃ prasūta ity eke bhāṣante | tatra dṛṣṭibhāgaṃ pratipannas tejodhātur jjātyandhaṃ karoti | sa eva raktānugato raktāLkṣaṃ śleṣmānugataḥ śuklākṣaṃ pittānugataḥ piṃgākṣaṃ vātānugato vikṛtākṣam iti bhakaḥ |
bīje ntarvāyunā bhinne dvau cjīvau | kukṣim āgatau .
yamāv ity abhidhīyeta thacrmmetarapuraskṛtau |
āsekyo nāma bhavati cstrīpuṃsor alpabījayoḥ |
sa śukraṃ prācśya labhate dhvajocchrāyam asaṃśayuyam |
yaḥ cpūtiyonyāñ jāyeta sa saugandhikasaṃjñictaḥ .
sa yośephasor gandhaṃ āghrāya labhate balam |
bhāryyāya sa tv ṛtau mohād aṃganāvat_ pravarttate .
tatra strīceLṣṭitācāroḥ jāyate ṣaṇḍasaṃjñitaḥ |
ṛtau puruṣavac cāpi pravarttetāṃganā yadi .
tatra kanyā yadi bhavet sā bhaven nacraceṣṭitā |
sarpavṛścikakūṃbhāṇḍavikṛtācvikṛtaāyas tu ye .
garbhās tv etā strīyacś caiva jñeyāḥ pāpakṛto bhṛśam |
garbho cvātaprakopena dauhṛde cāvamānicte |
bhavet kubjaḥ kuṇiḥ paṃkur mmūkho cdurmmana eva vā |
mātrāpitroś ca nāstikyāt_ aśubhaiś ca purākṛtaiḥ .
vātādināñ ca kopena garbha Lvaikṛtam ucyate |
malālpatvād ayogāc ca vāyoḥ pakvāśayasya va ||
vātamūtrapurīṣāṇi na garbhasthaḥ karoti ha |
jarāyaṇā mukhe cchanne kaṇṭhe ca kaphaveṣṭite .
vāyo mārgaprarodhāc ca na garbhasthaḥ prarodati |
csanniveśaś śarīrāṇāṃ dantānāṃ pātacnokt_bhavau .
taleṣv asaṃbhavo yac ca cromṇām etat svabhāvataḥ |
bhāvitāḥ pūcrvadeheṣu satataṃ śāstrabuddhayaḥ .
bhavanti sactvabahulāḥ purojātismarā narāḥ .
mātrajāni talāny asmādyasmād romṇām asaṃbhava....
pitrajāni pradeśāni bahuromāṇi tatvataḥ ||

tat tu śukam strīpuṃsayos saṃprayocge yonau rajasā vrisuṣṭam anvakṣacm eva bhūtātmanā ca saha bhūtvā satvarajastacmobhir ddevāsurair aparaiś ca bhācvair vāyunābhipreryyamāṇaṃ garbhāśayam āt_myāvatiṣṭhate |
tatra śukrahulyāt pumān_ ārttavabāhulyāt strī sāmyād ubhayor nnapuṃsakam |
ṛtus tu dvādaśarāLtran dṛṣṭārtavo bhavati . adṛṣṭārttavo py astīti tad arvāg eke hāṣante |
tatra sadyo grahītagarbhāyāḥ śramo rgāniḥ pipāsā sakthisīdanam āṭopaśukaśoṇitayor ananucbandhaḥ gurutā sphuraṇañ ca yonyā bhavanti |
bhakacḥ stanayoḥ kṛṣṇamukhatā romarājyutbhacvas tathā |
prasekas sīdanañ cāpi garbhiṇyā liṃcgam muddhyate |
tataḥ prabhṛty eva ca vyavāyam vycāyāmam apakarśanam | csnehādikramaṃ śoṇitacmokṣaṇañ ca | na seveta |
tataḥ prathame māsi ckledo jāyate | dvitīye māsi | śītoṣṇānilair ahipacyamāno mahābhūtānāṃ ghanapiṇḍas sañjāyate | yadi Lpumān_ stri cet peśī napuṃsakañ ced abudan tṛtīye hastapādaśirasām pañca piṇḍakānām abhinirvṛtti aṃgapratyaṃgavibhāgaś ca sūkṣmo bhavati | caturtthe sarvāṃgapratyaṃgavibhāgaś ca pravyaktataraḥ | garbhahṛdayapravyaktihācvāc cetanādhātur abhibuddhataro bhavati tactsthānatvāt tasmāt_ garbhaś caturtthe māsy ācbhiprāyam indriyārttheṣu karoti | dvihṛdacyāñ ca nārīn dauhṛdinīty ācakṣate |
pañcacme manaḥ pratibuddhataram bhavati | ṣaṣṭhe buddhiḥ saptame sarvapravyaktaśarīraḥ aṣṭame sthirībhavati | tatra jātaś ca na jīven nainṛtibhāgatvāt navaman daśamaikādaśa | dvāLdaśānām anyatamasmiñ jāyate | atho nyathā vikārī bhavati |
mātus tu khalu garbhayarāyān nāḍyāṃ garbhanābhināḻī pratibaddhā sāsya mātur āhārarasavīryyam abhivahanti | tenopasnehenābhivṛddhir asya ca bhavacnti | asañjātāṃgabhivibhāgam abhiniṣekāt cprabhṛti sarvaśarīrānusāriṇīnāṃ rasacvāhinīnām_ tiryyaggatānān dha_manīncām_ upasneho jīvayati |
garbhasya khalu csambhavatas sarvāṇy aṃgapratyaṃgāni yugapacd eva sambhavanti . pūrvottarakālayogo nāsti | kevalan tu saukṣmyān nābhivyajyate | yathākālaṃ pravyaktāLni bhavanti |
garbhasya tu keśaśmaśrulocunakhāsthiprabhṛtīni sthirāṇi pitṛjāni māṃsaśoṇita.medomajjaprabhṛtinī mṛdūni mātṛjāni | śarīropacayo balaṃ praddhi sthitir hāniś ca rajasāni | āyurācrogyaṃ medhāsukhaduḥkhañ cātmajāni |
ctatra yasyā dakṣiṇe stane prāk payaso cdarśanam_ dakṣiṇapārśvaṃ saṃśritaś ca garbhaḥ gratau cdakṣiṇāṃ sakthyutkarṣati bāhuś ca punnācmadheyeṣu daurhṛdeṣu yā sābhilāṣā bhavati | svapne copalabhate | punnāmānyeva prasanno mukhavarṇṇaś ca tām_ brūyāt | putram iyañ janayiṣyatīLti tadviparyyaye kannyām |
bhavanti cātra ślokaḥ .
daivatabrāhmaṇaparā śuddhyāhitamitāśani .
mahāguṇam_ prasūyeta viparītā ca nirguṇam |
