2 athāto vātavyādhinidānaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
dhanvantarin dharmmabhṛtām variṣṭham amṛtodbhavaṃ |
caraṇāv upasaṃgṛhya suśrutaḥ paripṛcchati ||
vāyoḥ prakṛtibhūtasya vyāpannasya ca bhūpate |
sthānaṃ rogavibhāgañ cac vadasva vadatām varaḥ ||
tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā jagāda bhagavān ṛṣiḥ
svayaṃbhūr eṣa bhagavān vāyur ity abhiśabditaḥ ||
svātantryān nityabhavāc ca sacrvvagatvāt tathaiva ca |

sthityutpattivināśeṣu bhūtānām eṣa kāraṇaṃ |
avyakto vyaktakarmmā ca śīcto rūkṣo laghuś caraḥ ||
tiryaggo dviguṇaś caiva rajo vahula eva ca |
acintyavīryo doṣāṇāṃ netā rogasamūharāṭ ||
āśucārī muhūcścārī pakvādhānagudālayaḥ |
dehe vicaratas tasya lakṣaṇāni nivodha me ||
indriyārthopasampattir ddoṣadhātvagni sāmyatāṃ |
kriyāṇām ānulomyañ ca kuryād vāyur adūṣitaḥ ||
yathāgni pañcadhā bhinno nāmasthānātmakarmmabhiḥ |
bhinno 'niLlas tathā hy eko nāmasthānakriyāmayaiḥ ||
prāṇodānaḥ samānaś ca vyānopānas tathaiva ca |
sthānasthā mārutāḥ pañca yāpayanti śarīriṇaṃ ||
yo 'nilo vaktrasaṃcārī sa prāṇo nāma dehadhṛk |
so nnam praveśacyaty antaḥ prāṇām̐ś cāpy avalamvate ||
prāyaśaḥ kurute cāpi hikvā śvāsādikān gadān |
udāno nāma yopy ūrdhvam upaiti pavanottamaḥ ||

tatrānātmavatāṃ yathoktaiḥ pra kopanaiḥ prakupitāḥ doṣāś caiḥ kaikaśaḥ | dvandvaśaḥ sama cstāḥ śoṇitasahitā vā yathoktaṃ prasṛtāḥ | viśeṣato mandāgneḥ pradhānadhamanīr anuprapadyā dho gatvā gudam āgamya pradūṣya gudavalīrmmāsam prarohaṃkandācñ janayanti tāny arśāṃsīty ācakṣate ||
tatra sthūlāntrapratibaddhamardhapañcamāṅagulaṃ gudamādusta smina valayastisrodhyadhdaṅagulāntarasambhūtāḥ | pravāhiṇī cvisṛjanī saṃvaraṇī ceti |
romāntebhyo yavādhyardho gudauṣṭhaḥ |
prathamā tu gudauṣṭhādaṅagulamātre
teṣāṃ tu bhaviṣyetāṃ pūrvarūpāṇi | annena śraddhā kṛcchrāt paktir amlīkān na vijṛmbheḥ saktisadanamācopaḥ kārśyamudgārabāhulyam akṣṇoḥ śvayathur ntra daparikartanaṃ kāsaśvāsaḥ pāṇḍurogagrahaṇīdoṣaḥ kadācittadā balahānirindriyayaiḥ daurbalyam |
jāte śvetānye va lakṣaṇāni pravyaktatarāṇi bhavanti ||
tatra mārutāt pariśu cṣkāruṇavivarṇāni viṣamamadhyamāni kadambapuṣpatuṇḍikerīkānāḍīmukhasūcīmukhākṛtīni tair upadrutaḥ saśūlaṃ saṃhatamupaveśyate | kaṭīpraṣṭhagudamadeṣu c cāsya vedanā gulmāsthīlāplīhodarāṇi cāsya tannimittāny eva kṛṣṇanakhanayanavadanamūtrapūrī ṣasś ca puruṣo bhavati ||
pittāntunīlāgrāṇi tanūni visa c rpāni pīttāvabhāsāni yakṛtprakāśāni śukajihvāsaṃsthanāni yavamadhyāni jalaukāvaktusadṛ śāni praklinnāni bhavanti | tair upadṛtaḥ sadāhaṃ sadṛṣitamavi c pakvam atisāryate | dāhajvarapipāsāś cāsyopadravā bhavanti | tannimittāny eva pītanakhanayanavadanamūtrapurīṣaś ca puruṣo bhavati |
śleṣmajāni mahāmūlāni sthirāṇi vṛttāni snigdhāniL pāṇḍuni śuklāvabhāsāni karīrapanasāsthigostanākānāṇi na bhidyante na sravanti ca kaṇḍubahulāni ca bhavanti | tair upadṛtaḥ saśleṣmakam analpam āmaṃvasā medaḥ | prakāśam atisāryate | sobhūśītajvarārocakāvipākaśiro c gauravagātu sadanāni yāsya tannimittāny eva śuklanakhanayanavadanamūtrapurīṣavaṇṇaś ca puruṣo bhavati |
raktajāni tunyatrodha prarohavidruma ckākaṇantikāphalasadṛśāni pittalakṣaṇāni ceti | yadā tu gāḍhapurīṣaprapīḍitāni bhavanti | tad ātyarthaṃ duṣṭam analpam asṛk sahasā visṛjanti | tasya cā cti pravṛttau śoṇitāti yogopadravāś cāsya bhavanti ||
sannipātajāni sarvalakṣaṇayuktāni |
sahajāni duṣṭaśukraśoṇitanimittāni | teṣāṃ doṣata ecva prasādanaṃ kartavyaṃ | viśeṣataś cātra durdarśanāni paruṣāruṇa pāṇuni dāruṇāny antarmukhāni | tair upavidrutaḥ kṛṣo 'lpabhuk sirāsantata gātro 'lpaprajaḥ kṣiṇaretaś ca bhavati ||
bhavati cātra | bāhyamadhyamayor dvalyoḥ pratikuryād bhiṣakvaraḥ | valyāmasyantarāyāṃ tu
ni.2.17 parkupitāstu doṣā meḍhramabhiprapannā māṃsaśoṇite pradūṣya kaṇḍūṃ janayanti tataḥ kaṇḍūyanāt kṣataṃ samupajāyate tasmiṃś ca kṣate duṣṭamāṃsajāḥ prarohāḥ picchilalarudhirasrāviṇo jāyante kūrcakino 'bhyantaramupariṣṭādvā te tu śepho vināśayantyupaghnanti ca puṃstvaṃ yonimabhiprapannāḥ sukumārān durgandhān picchilarudhirasrāviṇaśchatrākārān karīrāñ janayanti te tu yonimupaghnantyārtavaṃ ca | nābhimabhiprapannāḥ sukumārān durgandhān picchilān gaṇḍūpadamukhasadṛśān karīrāñ janayanti ta evordhvamāgatāḥ śrotrākṣighrāṇavadaneṣvarśāṃsy upanirvartayanti tatra karṇajeṣu bādhiryaṃ śūlaṃ pūtikarṇatā ca netrajeṣu vartmā varodho vedanā srāvo darśananāśaś ca, ghrāṇajeṣu pratiśyāyo 'timātraṃ kṣavathuḥ kṛcchrocchvāsatā pūtinasyaṃ sānunāsikavākyatvaṃ śiroduḥkhaṃ ca vaktrajeṣu kaṇṭhauṣṭhatālūnāmanyatam asmiṃs tair gadgadavākyatā rasājñānaṃ mukharogāś ca bhavanti ||
ni.2.18 vyānastu prakupitaḥ śleṣmāṇaṃ parigṛhya bahiḥ sthirāṇi kīlavadarśāṃsi nirvartayati tāni carmakīlāny arśāṃsīty ācakṣate ||
ni.2.19 bhavanti cātra--- teṣu kīleṣu nistodo mārutenopajāyate | śleṣmaṇā tu savarṇatvaṃ granthitvaṃ ca vinirdiśet ||
ni.2.20 pittaśoṇitajaṃ raukṣyaṃ kṛṣṇatvaṃ ślakṣṇatā tathā| samudīrṇakharatvaṃ ca carmakīlasya lakṣaṇam||
ni.2.21 arśasāṃ lakṣaṇaṃ vyāsāduktaṃ sāmānyatas tu yat | tat sarvaṃ prāgvinirdiṣṭāt sādhayed bhiṣajāṃ varaḥ ||
ni.2.22 arśaḥsu dṛśyate rūpaṃ yadā doṣadvayasya tu | saṃsargaṃ taṃ vijānīyāt saṃsargaḥ sa ca ṣaḍvidhiḥ ||
ni.2.23 tridoṣāṇyalpaliṅgāni yāpyāni tu vinirdiśet | dvandvajāni dvitīyāyāṃ valau yāny āśritāni ca ||
ni.2.24 kṛcchrasādhyāni tāny āhuḥ parisaṃvatsarāṇi ca | sannipātasamutthāni sahajāni tu varjayet ||
ni.2.25 sarvāḥ syur valayo yeṣāṃ durnāmabhir upadrutāḥ | tais tu pratihato vāyur apānaḥ sannivartate ||
ni.2.26 tato vyānena saṅgamya jyotirmṛdgāti dehinām ||

iti suśrutasaṃhitāyāṃ nidānasthāne 'rśonidānaṃ nāma dvitīyo 'dhyāyaḥ ||2 ||

Ltatra śleṣmāśmarī śleṣmalamannamabhyasato 'tyarthamupalipyādhaḥ parivṛddhiṃ prāpya bastimukhamadhiṣṭhāya śroto nirupaṇaddhi | tasya mūtrapratighātāddālyate bhidyate nistudyata iva ca bavastiguruḥ ca bhavati | ūṣmarī cātra śvetā snigdhā mahatī kukkuṭāṇḍapratīmā madhuvarṇā bhā bhavati | tāṃ ślaiṣmikīmiti vidyāta |
pittayuktastu śleṣmā saṃghātamupagamya yathoktaṃ parivṛddhimprāpya bastimukha cmadhiṣṭhāya sroto niruṇaddhi | tasya mūtrapratighātādūṣyate cūṣyate pacyate iva bastiruṣṇaś ca bhavati | aśmarī cātra saraktā pītāvabhāsā kṛṣṇā bhallātakāpratimā macdhuva bhā bhavati | tāṃ paittikīmiti vidyāta ||
vātayuktastu śleṣmāsaṃghātamupagamya yathoktaṃ parivṛddhimprāpya bastimukhamadhiṣṭhāya sroto niruṇaddhi | tacsya mūtrapratīghātāttīvrā vedanā bhavati | tayā 'tyarthaṃ pīḍamāno dantān khādanti nābhimpīḍayati meḍhraṃ pramṛdgāti garddhayati vidahati | vātamūtrapurīṣakṛcchrtāda bhavati | aśmarī cātra śyāvā viṣamā kharā paruṣā kadambapuṣpavatkaṇṭakācitā bhavati | tāṃ vātikī L miti vidyāta ||
prāyeṇatās tisro 'śmaryo bhavanti | divāsvapnasamāsanādhyāsanaśītasnigdhamadhurāhārapriyatvādbālānāṃ teṣām evāvalpabastikāyatvād amāṃsopavayāc ca sukhagrachaṇāharaṇāś ca bhavanti | mahatān tu śukrāśmarī śukranimittā bhavati ||
maithunavighātāc chakram upasthitam anirgacchanvimārgamanilovigṛṣkavṛṣaṇayorantacre saṃharati saṃhṛtya copaśoṣayati sāmūtramārgam āvṛtya mūtrakṛcchraṃ basti śirasi vedanāṃ śepasi muṣkayoś ca śvayathum utpādayati nipīḍitāmātre ca tacsminnavakāśe pravilayam āpadyate | tāṃ śukrāśmarīm iti vidyāta || atha jātāsu vedanā sumūtradhārā susaṅgaḥ sarudhira mūtravikiraṇaḥ ||
bhavati cāctra
sā bhinnamūrtidvārtena śarkkarety abhidhīyate ||
mūtrasrotaḥ pravisṛtā saktāḥ kuryād upadravān |
daurbalyaṃ sacdanaṃ kārśyaṃ kukṣiśūlarocakam | pāṇḍutvam uṣṇavātaṃ ca tṛṣṇā hṛtpīḍanam vamīm ||
nābhipṛṣṭhakaṭīmuṣkagudavaṃkṣaṇaśepasām | nakradvāras tanutvakkomadhye bastir adhomukhaḥ|
alaburivarūpeṇa sirāsnāyubhirāvṛtaḥ | mūtrāsayomalādhāraḥ prāṇāyatanamuttamam |
nāḍībhir upanītasya mūtrasyāmāsayāntarāta |
jāgrataḥ svapno Lvāpi saniṣyandena pūryate || āmukhāt salile nyastaḥ pārśvebhyaḥ pratipūryate ||
nave ghaṭe yathā vaddhibastimūtrasya pūryate | etenaiva ttu kalpena vātaḥ pittaṃka pho 'pi vā |
mūtrayuktam upasnehān praviṣya kurute 'śmarīn || capsu svacchā svapi yathā niṣiktāsu nave maṇau |
bhavet kālāntarāt paṅkaḥ tavdadaśmarisambhavaḥ || saṃhṛtyāpo yathā divyāṃ māruto 'gniś ca vaidyutaḥ ||
tadvad vaclāsaṃ bastisthamuṣmā saṃhṛtya sānilaḥ ||
mārute viguṇe bastau mūtraṃ samyagra varttate | vikārā vividhāś cācpi pratilome bhavanti hīti ||

athāto bhagandarāṇān nidānaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
vātapittaśleṣmasannipātāgantukanimittāḥ śataponakoṣṭragrīva Lparisrāviśambūkāvartonmārgiko yathāsaṃkhyaṃ pañcabhagandarā bhavanti | te tu gudabastibhagapradeśadāraṇābhagandarā ity ucyante |abhinnās tu piḍakā bhinnās tu bhagandarāḥ ||
tatrāpathyasevināmvāyuḥ prakupitaḥ sannicvṛttaḥ sthirībhūto gudamabhigato gudadvārādaṅgule dvyaṅgule aṅgule vā māsaśoṇitamabhi pradūṣyā ruṇavarṇṇāṃ piḍakāñjanayati | sāsyatodādīn vecdanāviśeṣānupajanayati | apratikriyamāṇā ca pākam upaiti | mūtrāsayābhyāsagatatvāc ca vraṇapraklinnaḥ śataponakavadaṇumukhaiś chidrair āpūryacte | tāni cacchidrāṇy ajasraṃbhenānuviddham āsrāvam pravahanti | vraṇaś chidyate bhidyate tāḍyate sūcībhiriva nistudyate gudaś cāvadīryate vātamūtrapurīṣacretasām apy āgamaś ca taicchidrairvati tambhagandaraṃ śataponakamityācakṣate ||

vāyuḥ prakupitaḥ prakupitaumupittaśleṣmāṇauparigṛhyādhogatvā pūrvvavadevasthitaḥ pādāṅguṣṭhapramāṇāṃ sarvvaliṃgāmpiḍaktāñjacnayanti | tesya todadāhakaṇḍvādīn vedanāviśeṣān upajanayanty apratikriyamāṇāś ca pākaṃgacchanti | vraṇaś ca nānāvidhavarṇṇavedanā nānāvidhavarṇṇam āsrāvaṃ sravati pūrṇṇanadīśambukāvarttavaccātrāsy uttiṣṭhati vedanāviśeṣāḥ| taṃ bhagandaraṃ śambukāvarttaLmity ācakṣate ||
mūḍhena tu bhāṃsthiśalyam annam abhyavahṛtaṃ yad āgāḍhapurīṣonmiśram apānenādhaḥ preritam asamyag āgataṃ gudaṃ kṣiṇoti | tadā tatra kṣatanimittāṅgatir upajāyate || tasmi~ścakṣate pūyarucdhirāvarṇṇaimāṃsakothe bhūmāviva jalapraklinnāyāṃ krimayaḥ sañjāyate | te bhakṣayanto gudamanekadhā pārśvato 'vadārayanti tasya taiś ca kṛmikṛtair mmārgair vvātamūctrapurīṣaretatāṃsy abhiprapadyante | tam bhagandaram unmārgiṇam ity ākṣate ||

athātaḥ kuṣṭhanidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
mithyāhārācārasya pittaśleṣmāṇau prakupitaucparigṛhyānilaḥ pravṛddhas tiryagāḥ sirāḥ saṃprapadya samūddhūya bāhyamārgamprati samantādvikṣipati | yatra yatra vikṣipto niścarati tatra tatra maṇḍalāni bhavanti | tatra ca parivṛddhimprāpyāpratikriyamāṇoLbhyantaramanuprāptodhātūn vidūṣayati |
tasya ca pūrvvarūpāṇitvakpārūṣyamakasmādromaharṣaḥ kaṇḍusvedabahutvaṃ suptatvamaṅgānāmasṛkkṛṣṇatā ca ||
tatra sapta mahākuṣṭhāni | ekādaśakṣudrakuṣṭhāny evam aṣṭādaśa bhavanti | te vā mahākucṣṭhāny aruṇodumbara aṣyojihvakapālakākaṇakapaṇḍurīkānidardṛkuṣṭhañceti kṣūdrakuṣṭhāni tu sthūlāruṣkamaṣṭhaikakuṣṭhacarmmadalaṃ parisarppo vicsarppasidhmaṃ vicarccikā kiṭimaṃ pāmā cakasā ceti ||
sarvvāṇi kuṣṭhāni savātāni sapittāni saśleṣmāṇi sakrimāṇi bhavanti |utpannasya tu grahaṇamacbhi bhavānta ||
tra vātenāruṇaṃ|pittenaudumbaraṃ |aṣyajihvakapālakākaṇakāni | śleṣmaṇā puṇḍarīkaṃ dadṛkuṣṭhañcetyeṣāṃ tu mahatvaṃ sarvvadhātvanusāri ctvādasādhdhatvañceti |
tatra vātenārūṇavarṇṇāni tanūni cvisarppīṇi todasvāpayuktāni bhavanti || pakvodumbaravarṇṇāny audumbarāṇi |aṣyajihvevakharāṇi aṣyajihvāni || Lkṛṣṇakapālikāprakāśāni kapālakuṣṭhāni |kākaṇanti kaphalasadṛśāni atīva raktāni paryante ca kṛṣṇāni kākaṇanti kāni teṣāṃ caturṇṇāmapyāṣācoṣaparidāhadhūmāyanāni | kṣiprotthācna prapākabheditvāni ca sāmānyāni | puṇḍarīkaprakāśāni puṇḍarīkāny atasīpuṣpavarṇṇānitāmrāṇi vā visarppīṇi piḍakā bhavanti dardṛkuṣṭhāni ca tayordvayocrapyutmannatā | parimaṇḍalatā kaṇḍuścirotthānatvañceti ||
kṣudrakuṣṭhāny ata ūrdhvaṃ vakṣyāmaḥ| aruḥkuṣṭhe sthūlamūlāny aruṃṣi saṃjāyaṃte sandhiṣu dāruṇāni | mahākumaṣṭhe sarvvadehe bhavanti tvakkocaḥ bhedāṅgadāhāḥ||
kṛtsne dehe yasya kṛṣṇo ruṇovātaccaikāravyaṃ kuṣṭhamā sukaṣṭaṃ | kaṇḍucoṣautodahau tu yasya kāle cācsmin carmmadalamvadanti |
vaisarpyaḥ syātsarvvataḥ sarpyate tu tvagraktadīn vyāpya bhāvān suśīghraṃ ||
yasmin sphoḍāsrāvavantastamāhnaḥ pārīsarpyanta nauḥ sarppamāṇaṃ | svacchasvetapkaṃṇḍumaccāpibhiṣmaṃ paridhvaṃsimrāyasaścordvakāye |
pāṇau pādau dāruṇau yasya Lrukṣaiśovākaṇaḍuḥsāvicarcciḥ pradiṣṭhā |
vaipādyākhyaḥ pādayoścāvadīrṇṇu saivārthajñestīvrakaṇḍusadāhaḥ| kṛṣṇaṃ kaṇḍummaṇlaṃ kaṇḍarañcaḥ śyāmopetaṃ kaiṭabhampathate tu ||
śukṣāva paiḍakāḥ āvacatyaḥ pāmetyuktāḥ kaṇḍumatyugradāchāḥ| saivāsthedāstīvradāhair upetākjñathāḥ pāṇyau kaṇḍurugrāḥ sthicau ca ||
kṛtsnedehe paiḍakāḥkaṇḍumatyo tair āsrāvārākasetyucyate tu | tatrāruṣkaṃrākasaṃyaccca sidhmaṃ kaphādhiṣkadeka kuṣṭhammahacca | | pittedrekātpārimarpyantu vidyādṛṣṭo niṣṭhaḥ kuṣṭhavargastridoṣaḥ |
kilāsamapi kuṣṭhavikāra eva | tattu trividham vāc te pittena ślemaṇeti | kuṣṭhakilāsayor antaraṃ tv agatam eva kilāsam aparisrāvi ca | tadvātena maṇḍalamaruṇamparidhvaṃsi ca | pittena padmapatrapratīkāsaṃsacparidhāhaṃ ca | śleṣmaṇā svataṃ snigdhaṃ kaṇḍurañ ca | tatra sambaddhamaṇḍalamantajātaṃ raktaromāṇañ ca sādhyam agnidagdhañ ca
tatra kuṣṭheṣu tvakṣaṃkoca svedaṇobhasvāpabhedakauṇyasvaropaghāto vātena | pākāvadaraṇam aṅgulipatanaṃ karṇṇanāsāLbhaṅgākṣirāgāḥ kṣiprotyattayaḥ pittena | kaṇḍuvarṇṇabhedaḥśobhāsrāvāḥ śleṣmaṇā |
tatrātibalapravṛttaṃ puṇḍarīkaṃ kākaṇañcāsādhyamiti || ślokau ||

tvatsthe vaivarṇṇyam aṅgeṣu kuṣṭhe raukṣyañ ca jāyate | tvackasrāvo romamaharṣañ ca svedasyāti pravarttanaṃ ||
kaṇḍurvvipuyakaś caiva kuṣṭhe śoṇitasaṃśrite |
bāhulyaṃ vaktraśoṣaś ca kārkkaṣyampiḍakodgamaḥ|| todaḥ sphoṭacsthiratvañ ca kuṣṭhe māṃsasamāśrite ||
kauṇyaṅgatikṣayoṅgānām bhedaḥ kṣatavisarpyaṇaḥ || medaḥ sthānagate liṃgan pūrvvoktāni tathaiva ca |
nāsākṣibhaṅgorāgāś ca kṣacte ca krimisambhavaḥ || svaropaghātaś ca bhaved asthimajjā samāśrite ||
strīpuṃsoḥ kuṣṭhavāhnalyād duṣṭaśoṇitaśukrayoḥ | yad apatyaṃ bhavej jātaṃ jñeyan tada pi kuṣṭhilaṃ |
Lkuṣṭham ātmavataḥ sādhdhaṃ tvagraktapiśitāśritaṃ || medogataṃ bhaved yāpyaṃm asādhyam ata uttaraṃ |
devadravyagurūdravyaparadārābhimarṣaṇāt | pāpmāpāpakṛtam etat kuṣṭham ity abhiṣataṃ |
mriyate yadickuṣṭhena punarjjāte na gacchati || 𑑎
āhārācārayoḥ proktām āsthāya mahatī kriṃyāṃ || auṣadhīnām vviṣiṣṭānāṃc tapasaś coniṣevaṇāt || yas tena mucyate jantuḥ puṇyāṅgatim avāpnuyāt |
pravātāṅgātrasaṃsparśān niśvāsātsahabhojanāt ||
kuṣṭhajvaraś ca śoṣaś ca netrābhiṣyanda ecva ca | aupasargikarogāś ca saṃkrāmanti narānaram iti ||ja||

divāsvapnapracsaktam alasaṃ śītasnigdhamadhuramedyadravān na pānam puruṣañ jānīyān pramehī bhaviṣyatīti |
tasyaivaṃ pravṛttasya yadā vātapittaśleṣamāṇo medaś coparipakvādhogatvā bastimukham āśritya nirbhidyante tadā pramehān janayanti |
teṣām pūrvvarūpāṇi pāṇipādataladāhaḥ snigdhaḥLcikkanagātratā madhuraśuklamūtratā tandrā ca |
tatrāvilaprabhūtamūtralakṣaṇāḥ sarvva eva pramehā bhavanti |
sarvva eva sarvvadoṣasamutthāś ca sahapiḍakābhiḥ|
tatra kaphādudakekṣuvālikāsurāsikatāśanair llavaṇapiṣṭasāndraśukramehāḥ phenamehaścectidaśa || pittānnīlaharidrāmvlakṣāramañjiṣṭhāmehāḥ śoṇitamehaścetiṣaṭ || vātātsarppirvvasākṣaudramehāhastimehaś ceti catvāro 'sādhyāḥ||
tatra vātapittamecdobhiranvitaḥ śleṣmāsvānmehān janayanti | vātakaphaśoṇitamedobhir anvitampittaṃ | kaphapittavasāmajjāmedobhir anvito vāyur iti ||
tatra svetam avedanam ucdakatulyam udakamehī mehati | īkṣurasatulyam ikṣuvālikāmehī |surātulyaṃ surāmehī sarujāṃ sikatānuviddhaṃ sikatāmehī |śanaiḥ sakaphaṃ sāndraṃ śanaicrmmehī | viṣadaṃ lavaṇatulyaṃ lavaṇamehī |hṛṣṭaromāpiṣṭatulyaṃ piṣṭamehī | āvilaṃ sāndraṃ sāndramehī | śukratulyaṃ śukramehī || stokas tokaṃ saphenañ ca phenamehī mehati ||
ata ūrdhdvam pittanimittān vakṣyāmaḥ | saphenam acchannīlannīlamehī mehati | sadāLhaṃkadkaṃ haridrābhaṃ haridrāmehī mehati | amlarasagandhamamlamehī |sṛtakṣārapratimaṃ kṣāramehī | mañjiṣṭhodakaprakāśaṃ mañjiṣṭhamehī |śoṇitamehī śoṇitammehati ||
vātanimittānvakṣyāmaḥ ||sarppiḥprakāśaṃ sarppirmmehī mehacti | vasāprakāśaṃ vasāmehī | kṣaudrasavarṇṇaṃkṣaudramehī |mattamātaṅgavadanapradhūraṃhastimehimehati ||
upadravānata ūrdhvamvakṣyāmaḥ ||makṣikopasarppaṇamāclasyamāsyopadehaḥ pratiśyāyaḥ |śaithilyamarocakā 'vipākau kaphaprasekaś chardyati nidrākāsa iti śleṣmajānām upadravā bhavanti || vṛṣaṇayoravacdaraṇaṃ bastibhedo meḍhratodo 'mlīkāpipāsājvaro 'tīsāromūrcchāpāṇḍuroga iti pittajānāmupadravā bhavanti || hṛdgrahau daurbbalyamanidrālambhaḥ kampaḥcśūlobadhdapurīṣatvaṃ śoṣaḥ kāsaḥ śvāsa iti vātajānāmupadravābhavanti ||evamete viṃśati pramehāḥ sopadravā vyākhyātāḥ ||
tatra vasāmedobhyām abhipannaśarīrasya doṣair anugatadhātoḥ pramehiṇo navapiḍakāḥ sañjāyante || tadyathā || sarāviLkā | sarṣaṣī | kacchapikā | jālinī | puttriṇī | masūrikā | alajī | vidārikā | vidradhikā ceti ||
antonnatā ca tadṛpā nimnamadhyā sarāvikā | gaurasarṣapasaṃsthānātatpramāṇā ca sarṣaṣī ||
sadāhā kūrmmasaṃsthānācjñeyā kacchapikā budhaiḥ | jālinī tīvradāhā tu māṃsajālasamāvṛtā ||
mahaty alpacitā jñeyā piḍakā cāpi putriṇī |
masūrasaṃsthānasamā vijñeyā tu masūrickā || raktā śitā sphoṭacitā dāruṇā tvalajī bhavet |
vidārīkandavadvṛttā kaṭhinā ca vidārikā || vidradher llakṣaṇair yuktā jñeyā vidradhikā budhaiḥ ||
ye yan macyāḥ smṛtā mehās teṣāme tām tu tan mayāḥ ||
gude hṛdi śirasyaṃse pṛṣṭhe marmmasu cotthitāḥ| sopadravā durbbalāgraiḥ piḍakāḥ parivarjjayet ||
kṛtsnaṃ śarīraṃcniṣpīḍya medomajjāvasāyutaḥ| adhaḥ prakramate vāyus tenāsādhyās tu vātajāḥ|
pramehe pūrvvarūpāṇām ākṛtir yatra dṛśyate | kiñcid asyadhikaṃ mūtraṃ taṃ pramehīti nirddiśet |
kṛcchrāṇy arddhāni vā yasmin pūrvvarūpāṇi mānave | Lpravṛttaṃ mūtram atyarthaṃ taṃ pramehiṇam ādiśet ||
piḍakāpīḍitaṃ gāḍham upasṭaṣṭam upadravaiḥ | madhumehiṇam ācaṣṭe sa cāsādhyatamaḥ syāteḥ||
sa cāpi gamanāt sthānaṃ sthānād āsanam eva ca | āsanād vṛṇute śayyāṃ śayane svapnam icchati ||
yathāc śuklādivarṇṇānām pañcānām utkarṣāpakarṣakṛtena saṃyogaviśeṣeṇa svetababhṛkapilakapotamecakādīnāṃ varṇṇānāmanekeṣām utpattir bhavati | evameva docṣadhātumalāhāraviśeṣeṇotkarṣāpakarṣakṛtena saṃyogaviśeṣeṇa pramehanān ākaraṇam bhavati ||
bhavati cātra || sarvva eva pramehās tu kālenāpratikāriṇaḥc madhumehatvam āyānti tadā sādhyā bhavanti iti ||

dhanvantarir dharmmacbhṛtām variṣṭho rājarṣir indrapratimo mahātmā | brahmarṣiputram vinayopapannaṃ śiṣyaṃ śubhaṃ suśṛtam anvaśāsat ||
pṛthak samastair api doṣaiḥ plīhodaram baddhagudavam vadanti | āgantukaṃ saptamam aṣṭaman tu dakodaraṃ caiva bhavanti tāni ||
Lsudurbbalāgnerahitāśanasya vṛddhiṃ gatatāḥ koṣṭham abhiprapannāḥ ||
gulmākṛtivyañjanalakṣaṇāni kurvvanti ghorāṇyudarāṇi doṣāḥ ||koṣṭhādupasnehavadannasāro niḥsṭatyaduṣṭo 'nilasaṃprayuktaḥ|
tvacaḥ samunnāsya śannaiḥ samasitādhicmarpyamāṇo jaṭharaṃ karoti ||
yadgṛhyapṛṣṭhodarapārśvavastī na vivarddhate kṛṣṇasirāvanaddhaṃ |
samūḍhavātaṃ sarujaṃ saśabdaṃ satodabhedampavanātmakantat || savoṣackṛṣṇājvaradāhayuktaṃ pītāḥ sirāyatra ca bhānti pītāḥ
pītākṣiviṇmūtranakhānanasya pittodarantaṃtvacirābhivṛddhiḥ || yacchītalaṃ śuklasirāvanaddhaṃ gucrusthiraṃ śuklanakhānanasya |
snigdhammahatsodanaśophanyuktaṃ cirābhivṛddhimprathitaṃ kaphāttat || striyonnapānannakharomamūtrair vviḍārttavair yuktamasādhuvṛttāḥ|
cyasmai prayacchantyarayogarāṃśca duṣṭāmbudūṣīviṣasevanādvā || tenāśuraktaṃ kupitāś ca doṣāḥ kuryuḥ sughorañjaṭharantriliṅgaṃ |
sacāturo mūrcchati samprayuktaḥ pāṇḍuḥ kṛṣaḥ śuṣyati tṛṣṇayā ca ||
dūṣyodaraṃ kīrttitaLmetadevaṃ plīhedaraṃ kīrtayato nibodhaḥ || vidāhyabhiṣyandiratasya jantoḥ pradūṣṭamatyarthamasṛkkaphaś ca |
plīhābhivṛddhiṃ kurute plihotthaṃ pracakṣata tajjaṭharampravṛddhaṃ || tadvāmapārśve parivṛddhimeti viśeṣataḥsīdati cāturo 'tra |
mandajvarāgniḥckaphapittaliṃgair ūpadṛtaḥ kṣīṇabalo 'tipāṇḍuḥ| savye tu pārśve yakṛtipraduṣṭe jñeyaṃ yakṛddālyadaraṃ tadeva |
yasyāntamannair ūpalapibhirvvābālāśmabhirvvāpihitaṃ yacthāvat || sañcīyate tatra malaḥ sadoṣaḥ śanaiḥ śanaiḥ śajvaravaktunāḍyāṃ |
nirudhyate cāsya gudaṃ purīṣaṃ nireti kṛcchrādapi cālpamalpaṃ || hṛnnābhimadhye parivṛddhicmeti tasyodaramvagudamvadanti ||
śalyantathānopahitaṃ gudāntrambhinatti varccāgatamanyate vā ||
tasmātsṛtāntrātsalilaprakāśaḥ srāvaḥ sravedvai gudatastu bhūyaḥc| nābheradhaścodarameti vṛddhinnistudyatedālyati cātisrāvaṃ |
etatparisrāvyurampraviṣṭaṃ yakodaraṃ kīrttayato nibodhaḥ| yaḥ snehapīto 'py anuvāsito vā vānto virikto 'pyathavā nicūḍhaḥ||
pibejjalaṃ śītalamāśu tasya tāṃsi dūṣyanti hitadvāhāpaṣvathaL pi teṣupakodaraṃ pūrvvavadabhyupyaiti ||
snigdhammahattatparivṛttanābhiḥ samātatampūrvvamivāmbunā ca | yathā dṛtikṣubhyati kampate ca śabdāyate cāpi dakodarantat ||
adhuno gamaneśaktirddaubbalyandurbbalāgnitā | śophaḥ sadanamaṅgacnāṃ saṃgovātapurīṣayoḥ|| dāhatandrī ca mūrcchā ca jaṭhareṣu bhavanti hi |
chiddiścaivāti daurbbalyameva ca | mūdraprahaḥ pārśvaśūlaṃ svarabhedapramūḍhatā | bhickkāśvosaś ca kāsaś ca aruciścāpyupadravāḥ ||
ante salilabhāvañ ca bhavanti jaṭharāṇi tu | ripakvāni tasmāt tam parivarjjayet ||

grāmyadharmmayānavāhanādhvagamanapraskhalanaprapatanapīḍanābhighātaviṣamaśayanopavāsacvegābhighātātirūkṣakaṭukatiktabhojanājīrṇṇagarbhaśātanaprabhṛtibhir abhighātaviśeṣacchidyante garbham phalam iva vṛttabandhanāt | sakhalumuktabandhanatvādgarbhaśayyāmatikramya yakṛtplīhāntravivagair avasransamānaḥ koṣṭhasaṃkṣobhayati | tasyāḥ koṣṭhasakṣomādvāyuravyaṃLno mūḍhaḥ pārśvabastiśiraudarayoniśūlānāhamūtrasadgānāpādyagarbhaspracyāvayati | taruṇaṃ śoṇitabhāvena kadā cid vivṛddhamasamyagāgatamapatyapathamanuprāptamanirgacchantamapānavaiguṇya sammohitaṅgarbhaṃ mūḍhagarbham ity ākṣate ||
sakīlaḥ pratikhurocbījakaḥ parigha iti caturvvidho mūḍhagarbho bhavatīty eke bhāṣante || ya ūrdhvaṃ śiraḥpādābhyāṃ yonimukhan ni ruṇaddhi kīla iva sakīlaḥ| niḥsṛtahastapādaśiraḥkāyaśacktaḥ sapratikhuraḥ| yastunirgacchatiśiro bhujaḥ savījakaḥ| parigha iva yonimukham āvṛtya tiṣṭhet saparigha iti | tattu na samyak || sa yadā viguṇānilapīḍito 'pactyapathamanekadhā pratipadyate | tadā catuḥsaṃkhyā hīyate ||

tatra dvāvantyau mūḍhagarbhāvasādhyau śeṣeṣvapi viparītendriyārtha sākṣepakayonibhraṃsasamvaraṇasakkalaśvāsakāsabhramanipīḍitaॉṃś ca pariharet ||
bhavanti cātra ślokāḥ|| kālasya paricmāṇena muktavṛttādyathāphalaṃ | prapadyate svabhāvena nānyathā pṛthivītalaṃ ||
evaṃ kālaprakarṣeṇa mukto nāḍīnivambandhanāt | garbhāsayastho hi garbho jananācya prapadyate ||
krimivātābhighātais tu tad evopadrutamphalaṃ | patatyakālepi yathā tathā syād garbhavicyutiḥ||
ācaturthāntato māsātprasṛte garbhavicyutaḥ |c tataḥ sthiraśarīrasya pādaḥ pañcamaṣaṣṭhayoḥ ||
apaviddhaśarīrātu śītāṅgīnirapatrapā |nīloddhatasirāhanti mā garbhansacatāḥpūnaḥ ||
garbhāspacndanamāvīnāmpraṇāśaḥ śyāvapāṇḍutā | bhaved ucchvāsapūtitvaṃ śūlaścāntarmmṛte śiśau ||
nasāgantubhir mmāturupatāpaiḥ prapīḍitaḥ | garbho vyāpadyate kukṣau vyādhibhiś ca nipīḍitaḥ ||
kukṣau māturvvipannāyā garbhaḥ praspandatestriyāḥ| janmakāle muhurttāttaṃLpāṭayitvoddharecchiśuṃ ||
yadā so 'ntarmmṛto garbhaḥ śunobastirivātataḥ | tenāvṛtā ca nāryas tu kukṣisunnahyate bhṛśaṃ ||
utkṣipya iva cāṅgāni mūtrabastiś ca vidyate | klomaplīhāyakṛc caiva phuphphusaṃ hṛdayantathā || garbheṇa pīḍictāhyeta dūrdhvamprakrāmati striyāḥ | sā sūyate muhyati ca kṛcchrocchvāsā ca jāyate ||

dantagatās tu dālanaḥ krimidanta kodanta harṣo bhañjanakaḥ | dantaśarkkarā | kapālikā | śyāvadantaḥ | hanur mmokṣaś cecti ||
dāryamāṇeṣv ivarujā yasya danteṣu jāyate | dālanonāma savyādhiḥ sadāgatinimittajaḥ |
kṛṣṇaścchidraś ca calati sasaṃrambho mahārujaḥ | animicttarujovātātsajñeyaḥ krimidantakaḥ ||
śītamuṣṇañ ca daśanāḥ sahante sparśanan na ca | yasya tad dantaharṣan tu vyādhim vidyāt samīraṇāt ||
vaktram vakram bhaved yasya dacntabhaṅgaś ca jāyate | kaphavātakṛto vyādhiḥ sa bhañjanakasaṃjñitaḥ ||
śarkkar eva sthirībhūto malo danteṣu yasya vai | sā dantānāṃ guṇaharī vijñeyā dantaśarkkarā ||
kacpāleṣv iva dīryatsudantānāṃ saiva śarkkarā | kapāliketi paṭhitā sadā dantavināśinī ||
asṛṇmiśreṇa pittena dagdhodantas tv aśeṣataḥ | śyāvatān nīlatām vāpi gataḥ sa śyāvadantakaḥ ||
vātena tais tairbbhāvaiś ca hanusandhivisaṅgataḥ | hanurmmokṣa iti jñeyo vyādhiLr ardditalakṣaṇaḥ ||
jihvāgatās tu | kaṇṭakās trividhās tribhir ddoṣairalāsa upajihvā ceti ||
jihvānilena sphuṭitā prasuptā bhavec ca śākacchadanaprakāśā | pittātsadāhair anucīyate ca dīrghaiḥ saraktair apikaṇṭakaiś ca || kaphena gurvvī bahalā cictā ca mānsāṅkuraiḥ śālmalikaṇṭakaubhaibhaiḥ |
adhogato yaḥ śvayathuḥ pragāḍhaḥ so 'lāsasaṃjñaḥkapharaktamūrttiḥ || jihvāṃ sa tu stambhayate pravṛddho mūle ca jichvā bhṛśam eti pākaṃ |
jihvāgrarūpaḥ śvayathur hi jihvām unnāmya jātaḥ kapharaktamūlaḥ ||
lālākaraḥ kaṇḍuyutaḥ sa coṣaḥ sātupajihvā paṭhitā bhiṣagbhiḥ | c |
tālugatās tu || galaśuṇḍikā tuṇḍikerī adhruṣaḥ kacchapaḥ | arbbudaḥ | mānsasaṃghātaḥ | tālu puppuṭakaḥ | tāluśoṣaḥ | tālupāka iti ||
kaphāsṛgbhyāntālucmūlātpravṛddho dīrghaḥ śophodhmātabastiprakāśaḥ | tṛṣṇākāsaḥ śvāsakṛttam vadanti vyādhim vaidyā galaśuṇḍeti nāmnā ||
śophaḥ sthūlastodadāha prapākī prāguktābhyāṃ tuṇḍikerīmatā tu | mṛduḥ śopho lohitottho jñeyo 'dhruṣaḥ sajvaras tīvra ruk ca ||
kūrmmonnato vedanā'Lśīghrajanmā rogo jñeyaḥ kacchapaḥ śleṣmaṇā tu || padmākaran tālumadhye tu śophaṃ tam vidyād raktārbbudaṃ proktaligaṃ |
māṃsannirujan tālumadhye kaphāt tu prokto vaidyair mmāṃsasaṃghāta eṣaḥ || arukchiraḥ kolamātraḥ kaphena samedasāpucppuṭas tāludeśe |
śuṣyaty atyarthan dīryate cāpi tāluśvāsaś caivograstāluśoṣo 'nilāt tu || pittaṃ kuryāt pākam atyarthaghoraṃ tāluny evan tālupākam vadacnti ||
kaṇṭhagatās tu || rohiṇyaḥ pañca | kaṇṭhaśālūkam adhijihvā valayaḥ | alāsaḥ | ekavṛndaḥ | śataghnī | gilāyuḥ | galavidradhiḥ | galaughaḥ | svaraghnaḥ | c māṃsatānovicāriś ceti ||
gale 'nila pittakaphau tu mūrcchitau pradūṣya māṃsañ ca tathaiva śoṇitaṃ | galopasaṃrodhakarais tathāṅkurair nihantyas unvyādhir ayaṃ hi c rohiṇī ||
jihvā samantād bhṛśavedanān tu mānsāṅkuraiḥ kaṇṭhanirodhinīyā | tāṃ rohiṇīm vātakṛtām vadanti tisraś ca tāstvād ita eva kṛcchrā ||
kṣiprodgamā kṣipravidāhapākās tīvrajvarā pittanimittajā tu | sroto nirodhinyacalonnatā ca sthirāṅkurā yā kaphasaṃbhavā sā ||
Lgambhīrapākiny anivāravīryā tridoṣaliṅgā tritayotthitaṃ tu | sphoṭaiś citā pittasamānaliṃgāsādhyā pradiṣṭā rudhirātmikā tu ||
kolāsthimātraḥ kaphasaṃbhavo yo granthir galekaṇṭakaśūkabhūtaḥ | kharaḥ sthiraḥ śastranipātasādhyas tat kaṇṭacśālūkam iti bruvanti ||
jihvāgrarūpaḥ śvayathuḥ kaphāt tu jihvopariṣṭādapiraktamiśraḥ | jñeyo 'dhijihvā khalu roga eṣa vivarjjayed āgatapākam enaṃ ||
balāsa ecvāyatam unnatañ ca śophaṃ karoty annagatin nivārya|taṃ sarvvathaivāprativāravīryam vivarjjanīyam valayam vadanti ||
gale tu śophaṅkurutaḥ pravṛddhau śleṣmānilau śvāsarucjopapannaṃ | marmmacchidan dustaram etad āhur alāsasaṃjñan nipuṇādhikāraṃ ||
vṛttonnatāntaḥ śvayathuḥ sadāhaḥ sakakaṇḍuro 'pāvyagururm mṛduś ca | nāmnaikavṛndaḥ parikīcrtyate 'sau vyādhir bbalāsakṣatajaḥ prasūtaḥ ||
samunnatamvṛttam amandadāhantīvrajvaraṃ vṛndam udāharanti | tac cāpi pittakṣatajaprakopāj jñeyaṃ satodam pavanātmakan tu ||
varttir ghanā kaṇṭhanirodhanī tu citātimātram piśitaprarohaiḥ | anekarukprāṇaharī tridoṣāj jñeyā śataghnīti L śataghnirūpā ||
granthirggale tv āmalakāsthimātraḥ sthiro 'lparukyaḥ kaphapittamūrttiḥ | yo lakṣyate raktam ivāsravaś ca saśasrasādhdhastu gilāyusaṃjñaḥ ||
sarvvaṅgalaṃ vyāpya samutthito yaḥ śopho rujāḥ santi ca yatra sarvvā | sa sarvvadoṣaicr ggalavidradhis tu tasyaiva tulyaḥ khalu sarvvajasya ||
śopho mahāntan na jalāvarodhī tīvrajvaro vāyugater nnihantā | kaphena jāto rudhirānvitena gale galaughacḥ paṭhito bhiṣagbhiḥ ||
yas tāmyamānaḥ śvasiti prasaktam bhinnasvaraḥ śuṣkavimuktakaṇṭhaḥ | kaphopadiṣṭeṣv anilāyateṣu jñeyaḥ sa rogaḥ śvasanāts varaghnaḥ ||
pratācnavān yaḥ śvayathuḥ sukaṣṭo | galoparodhān kurute krameṇa | sa mānsatān eti bibhartti saṃjñāprāṇapraṇutsarvvakṛto vikāraḥ ||
sadāhatodaṃ śvayathuṃ satāmram antacrggale pūtiviśīrṇṇamānsaṃ | pittena vidyād vadane vicārim pārśve viśeṣāt sa tu yena śete ||
sarvvasarās tu vātapittakaphanimittāḥ ||
sphoṭaiḥ satodair vvadanaṃ samantād yasyācitaṃ sarvvasaraḥ savātāt | raktaiḥ sadāhaiḥ piṭakaiḥ sapītaiḥr yasyācitaṃ cāpi sapittakoLpāt ||
avedanaiḥ kaṇḍuyutaiḥ satodair yasyācitaṃ cāpi sa vai kaphena ||
