This paper manuscript is held at the Śrī Hemacandrācārya Jain Jñān Mandir in Patan, Gujarat. It is not listed in the New Catalogus Catalogorum. It is written in a Devanāgarī script which alternates between modern vowel signs and pṛṣṭhamātrā vowels; this inconsistency led to some misreadings in the critical edition of K. A. Subramania Iyer. There are also a number of peculiar glyphs — stha is written as scha, and jya is written as cha. These have been indicated with the <g> tag. The text extends from the Jātisamuddeśa until the end of the Bhūyodravyasamuddeśa, breaking off after a few words from the beginning of the commentary on the Guṇasamuddeśa. This transcription has been made from black and white printouts of digital images.

ātmā vastu svabhāvaś ca śarīraṃ tattvam ity api |
dravyam ity asya paryāyās tac ca nityam iti smṛtat || ꣸ ||
ihārthakriyāyāṃ dravyam evopayujyata iti tad eva pravarttakam arthinām ataś ca śabdena tad evocyate 'nabhivīyamānā tu jātir avachedikā guḍaśabde mādhuryādaya iveti dravyavādināṃ darśanaṃ | dravya ca dvivivaṃ pāramārthikaṃ sāvyavahārikaṃ ca | tatra dvitīyaṃ dravyaṃ bhedyabhedakaprastāvena guṇasamuddeśe vakṣyati vakṣ__stūpalakṣaṇaṃ yatretyādinā | anena ca dravyeṇa vyāḍidarśane sarve śabdā dravyābhidhāyino bhavanti |

dravyam ityisyeti dravyaṃ nāma ya padārthas tasyaita eva paryāyāḥ eteṣām eva paramārthikarūpatvābhidhāyitvān nānye ghaṭādiśabdaḥ | saty api tadabhidhāyitve vakṣyamāṇanayenātmādiśabdānām eva sarvatra ghaṭādāv avyāhatasya prasaratyaṃ | tathā ca bhāṣyaṃ ko yam ātmā | udakaṃ nāmeti | atrātmaśabda udake prayuchamāno dravyavacanaḥ ākṛtidvāreṇa cānye śabdā dravye varttate ime na tu tatparityāgena mukhyayā vṛtyeti viśeṣaḥ | siddhe śabdārthasaṃbaṃdha ity atra dravyaṃ nityam ākṛtir avyā cānyā ca bhavatīti vadatā bhāṣyakāreṇa nityaṃ dravyaṃ smṛtaṃ | saṃgrahoktasya tatrārthasyānupādānāṃ smṛtam ity āha |
yady api ca śākyādidarśane nityaṃ na bhavati dravyaṃ tathāpi tanmatasyānabhyupagamād evādoLṣaḥ | kevalaṃ dravyaṃ yad asmākaṃ dravyaṃ tad anyair apy evam abhidhīyata ity evātropanyāsaḥ | yad vā bhāṣyānusāreṇa svarūpānyathātvānāpattir vikārabhede pi nityatvaṃ vivakṣitam atreti sarvatra tat siddhiḥ |

iha sarvaśabdānāṃ pāramārthikaṃ tatvaṃ | spraṣṭum aśaktānām anekāpādhiviṣayanihitapadānāṃ tadrūpolliṃganaṃ vyavahāre samātmakṣyate | upādhīnāṃ cāgamāpāyavaśavidhuritanijasvarūpāṇā sākṣāt_ marthisārthasamāśāpūraṇapratihataśaktitvān na tāvaty eva paryavasānam ity upalakṣitarūpapṛṣṭapātinaḥ śabdā vyavasthāpyaṃte | avadhṛtarūpaniveśitvāc ca śabdānām avadhāraṇanusāram arthe pratipattiḥ | avadhṛtiś cākāradvāreṇa nirākārasya buddhyupārohāyogād yathāpratyayaṃ ca bhedāvasāyasya bādhyamānatvād anuyāyy abhinnam eva rūpaṃ paramārthatas tad eva brahmarūpaṃ satyaṃ

gṛhītaṃ gṛhaśabdena śuddham evābhidhīyate || ꣸ ||
ado devadattasya gṛhaṃ yatrāsau kākaḥ prativasatīty atra niyatasvāmikagṛhopalakṣaṇāyopalakṣaṇabhūtasya kākasyotpatite pi tasminn upalakṣaṇasya kṛtatvād adhruvatmam anityatvam iti tadanādareṇeva tadupalakṣitaṃ gṛham abhidhīyate | gṛhaśabdena yathā prakṛtasaṃbaṃdhād asatyopādhyupalakṣitaṃ satyam upadhirūpānādareṇa śabdair abhidhīyata ity anabhidhīyamānasyāpy abhidhānaviṣayaniyamakatvād upalakṣaṇe saty upādhitvaṃ nidarśanena samarthitaṃ | tathā hi kṛkṛvatta niṣṭety anubaṃdhasyāprayogasamavāyitvād adhruvasyopalakṣaṇatve tadrahitasya śuddhasya pratyayasvarūpasya saṃjñāprasaṃga ity atredaṃ bhāṣye nidarśanam uktaṃ |
nanu kāko tivilakṣaṇo gṛhād bhedenāvadhāryamāṇo mā bhūta sāmānādhikaraṇyenāvachedaka|s tad yathā iti hariḥ paśur ity atra paśur anyatraṃ viśeṣaṇam apṛthak_cchabdavācyam uparaṃjakaṃ tad yathā vāneyam udakam iti vanasaṃbaṃdhopādhīyamānarūpaviśeṣam udakaṃm abhidhīyata iti vanasaṃbaṃdho viśeṣaṇam uparaṃjakatayābhidheyakam āpadyata eva | tathā coktaṃ | arthaviśeṣa upādhis tadaṃtavācyaḥ samānaśabdo yam anupādhir ahito nyasyāchlāghādiviśeṣaṇaṃ yadvad ity āśaṃkya sadṛśataram atra nidarśanam āha || ꣸ ||
suvarṇādi yathā yuktaṃ svair ākārair aṇayibhiḥ |
rucakādyabhidhānānāṃ śuddham evaiti vācyatāt_ || ꣸ ||
rucakakuṃḍalādyākāraviśeṣoṇadhīyamānarūpabhedam api suvatrarṇam ity eva sarvatrānapāyirūpaṃ satyam apāyibhir ākāraviśeṣais tatsadhyārthakriyākaraṇān na tatraiva rucakādiśabdāḥ kṛtapadabaṃdhāḥ ki tu taLdatiricyamānam arthavahastv abhidheyakeyakena samāviśaṃti | tadvat prakṛsaṃbaṃdhād ākāropahitanānātvam api paratattvaṃ śabdagocara ity arthaḥ | atra cāpāyibhir iti hetunirdeśaḥ sādhyasamakakṣyatayā kṛtaḥ | tataś copādhīmām avācyatvam asatyatvaṃ ca siddhyati | asatyatvād evārthakriyākaraṇāt tadarthaṃ ca śabdavyavahārād avācyatvaṃ teṣām ity arthaḥ |
nanu rucakādau prakṛtyanvayo vadhāryata eva | ihāpi vastūnāṃ jñāyamānatvena satvāj jñānasya vaikalpikākārānavasthānān nirākāraśuddhasaṃvinmātrānugamasya svasaṃvitsiddhatvād adoṣaḥ | nanu viśeṣaṇoparaktaṃ viśeṣyābhidhānaṃ yuktam ity upasarjanībhūtasyābhidhāne kā kṣatiḥ || na kācit_ kevalam upādhiṣṭevātra tātparyadṛṣṭvāṃṣṭyāda padaṃ baṃdho nivāryate | guṇatvena tv abhidhānam astu na ca tāvaty eva viśrāṃtir iti dravyaniṣṭatāsiddhiḥ |
ata eva viśeṣaṇoparāgāt sākaryadvoṣaṃ pariharttum āha || ꣸ ||
ākāraiḥ svavyavachedāt sārvārthyam avarudhyate |
yathaiva cakṣurādīnāṃ sāmarthyaṃ nālikādibhiḥ || ꣸ ||
sarvabhāveṣu brahmaṇā dravyalakṣaṇasyābhedāt tadabhidhāyitve śabdānāṃ sarvatra tasya bhāvāt_ sārvārthyaṃ śabdāṃtarābhidhīyamānārthatvaṃ sāṃkaryaṃ prasaṣvetety atredam ucyate | pratiniyatākāraparichinnavṛttitvāt sarvārthatvapratibaṃdhād asaṃkara ity arthaḥ |
ghaṭākāropadhānapuraḥsaraṃ ghaṭaśabdena brahmadravyam abhimukhīkriyate | paṭākāropadhānena tu paṭaśabdenetyādy upādhirūpopahitavivekitvam abhidhānīyaṃ tad yathā nālikāmuṣiravartmanihitanayanās tadavakāśāvasthitam evārthabhāgaṃ paśyanti tathāvichinnadṛk_śaktibhir ākārabhedair eva vastūpalakṣyate | tathaiva ca yathārthāvasāyaṃ śabdaniveśās chaśabdair abhidhīyata ity arthaḥ |
yathā'varaṇādineṃdriyasyaiva prakāśanaśaktiḥ pratibadhyate na viṣayo vikriyate tathānādyavidyāvachedaprakalpitavibhāgānāṃ jīvāmenām eva savedanaśaktir niyamyate yena vichinnārthābhimānena bhedaviṣayāṇy abhidhānāni prayujate | na tu tattvam avidyayāvilīṃkriyata iti nālikānidarśanena sūcayati | nālikādibhir ity ādigrahaṇād avadhānapratighāṭatamūrtyabhijanaṃ nādyavarodhaḥ | yatraiva vyavadhānaṃ tad evāvadhāryate | mūrtyabhijano rūpasauṃdarya tenāpahṛto nyaṃ na paśyati |
yanaṃ tarhy ākāramātraniveśinaḥ sanniveśādiśabdās te dharmamātram abhidaṣkar iti sārvatrikī dravyapadārthasya vyavasthā viśīryatety āśaṃkyāha ||
teṣv ākāreṣu yaḥ śabdas tathābhūteṣu varttate |
tattvātmakatvāt tenāpi nityam evābhidhīyate || ꣸ ||
upādhimātrasvabhāveṣv api sanniveśādyākāreṣu sanniveśādiśabdo varttamānaḥ paramārthatas tattvād avyatirekād upādhīnāṃ tanniṣkarṣe svarūpasyāsvarūpatvāt tadātmanaiva sattvāt tad eva nityam upādhimallīnavā tado dravyam evam apy abhidhānābhihitaṃ bhavati tattvam ātmā ṣkapādhīnāṃ | nanu te tasyātmāna iti vyāparttakatvāt sarva evopādhayas tadātmanā sattas tathaivābhidhīyante Ltathā yadā hy upāvimallīnatā tadopādhaya upādhayo na bhavanti | tatas tu niṣkarṣe dharmāntarāśrayatayā svātaṃtryād upādhimattvam eva nopādhitvam ity āśayaḥ |
yady evaṃ dharmāṇām apy avasthāntare dharmirūpitvān nityatve satyatve cākārāṇām asatyatvaṃ dravyasya tu satyatvam ity etasya niyamasyānupapattir ity āśaṃkyāha || ꣸ ||
na tatvātatvayār bheda iti vṛddhebhya āgamaḥ |
atatvam iti manyante tatvam evāvicāritaṃ || ꣸ ||
ayam ātrārthaḥ | nehādvaitanaye satyasatye dvarūpantaḥ advaitahāniprasaṃgāt_ kiṃ tu pāramārthikam ekam evādvayaṃ tattvaṃ tac cānādisiddhāvidyāvilasitasahapramātṛviṣayatayā yathātattvam anavabhāsamānam ity akenekavikalpaparighaṭitākārarūpatayā vyavahāram avatarati | tathā ca tad evākāranānātvonnīyamānasvarūpabhedaṃ cakāsti nānyat tadvyatiriktasyānyasyābhāvāt |
tatra ca yo yaṃ prakāśaḥ sā vidyā 'prakāśas tu tamo vidyā | na ca prakāśābhāvo prakāśo nāma kaścit pramāṇasiddho nirūpas tataś ca yor ya bhedaprakāśaḥ sevaikaghaṭanaprakāśābhāvaḥ prakāśavichedo 'vidyā tatra ca vichinnānvayo vichedo vadhāryata iti vichinnaprakāśas tanāvidyaiva vichedamātra tv apradhāsvabhāvaṃ na kiṃcid avidyeti paramārthatatve vicāre na kicid atattvaṃ vyavatiṣṭate | tattvam eva yathāpratibhāsaṃ bhedena cakāsad avicāritaramaṇīyaṃ prapaṃco tattvam iti vyavadbhiyata iti brahmavidaḥ | tathā cāvicāritaramaṇīyaṃ parīkṣayā vyavasthāpitaṃ tattvam evābhinnatīyikāra bhedadarśanavyavasthitā nedātmakam atattvaṃ manyanta iti vicāreṇāvidyāvilaye brahmaikaniṣṭatayā darśanānāṃ | tad uktaṃ satyā viśuddhis tatroktā vidyaivetyādi |
evaṃ tena tena rūpeṇa brahmaiva vikalpitaṃ bhavatīti sarvaśabdānāṃ tattadupādhimukhaṃ tad eva viṣayaḥ siddha ity āha || ꣸ ||
vikalparūpaṃ bhajate tattvam evāvikalpitaṃ |
na cātra kālabhedo sti kālabhedaś ca gṛhyate || ꣸ ||
paramārthato vikalpitaṃ vikalpānām aviṣayo yat tatvaṃ tad eva vyavahāre nyasyābhāvād vikalpyamānaṃ vikalpatarūpaṃ nānāviṣabhedāvabhāsanādisiddhāvidyāvaśāt marvam avalaṃbate jīvātmabhāvenāvatiṣṭamānaṃ tadgatatyeneti mūrttivivarttāśrayadik_śaktipravibhakta | nānātvanimittapaurvāparyāvalaṃbanasahaṃ | evaṃm akālakalitamam api tattvam anādinidhanaṃ kālākhyaṃ svātaṃtryaṃ śaktiṃ viniveśitapratibaṃdhābhyanujñāvaśo vaśāj janmādibhāvavikārāvidhīyamānapaurvāparyaṃ cakāstīty arthaḥ |
nanv avidyamānasya tatvena pratibhānam ayuktam ity āśaṃkya dṛṣṭāntenopapādayati |
yathā viṣayadharmāṇāṃ jñāne tyaṃtasamaṃbhavaḥ |
tadātmeva ca tat siddham atyaṃtam atadātmakaṃ |
vijñānavāde viṣayākārasya sarvabhāvato satyatvān nīlādis tadgato dharmo jaḍo jaḍe jñāne saṃbhavy asyatyaṃtam iti jaḍājaḍaLyor na kenacid aṃśena sārūpyam ity āha | tathā coktaṃ | ekadeśena sārūpye sarvaṃ syāt sarvavadanaṃ sarvātmanā tu sārūpye jñānam ajñānatāṃ vrajed iti |
athavā saṃbhavidharmāchuritaṃ vijñānaṃ viśuddhabodhanasvabhāvam apy avidyāyāṃ vyavahāre vabhāsata ichaṃtīṣṭaṃ nidarśanāṃtaram apy āha || ꣸ ||
yathā vikārarūpāṇāṃ tattve tyantam asambhavaḥ |
tadātmaiva ca tattvam atyantam atadātmakam || ꣸ ||
sāṃkhyasyāvikṛtaṃ pradhānatattvaṃ sarvavikāraśuddhigranthi bījāvastham abhinnam anupamṛṣṭam eva mahadādivikārarūpaiḥ paramārthatattvaṃ tad dhi mahadādivikāraśaktiyuktaṃ guṇasāmāvasthātmakaṃ guṇavaiṣamyavimardavaśopajāyamānavikāranānātvān_ vilakṣaṇar eva | atha ca vyavahāre mahadādivikārarūpād adhāraṇena tadupalabhāsaṃbhava iti sarvadarśaneṣv avidyānvayinī | evam asatyākāropadhānena tattvapratibhāvasaḥ siddha iti sādyānvayo rthaṃ gṛhītaḥ |
kathaṃ punar etadupaṃd avagamyate ākārā asatyās tato nyat satyam ity āha || ꣸ ||
satyam ākṛtisaṃhāre yad aṃte vyavatiṣṭate |
tan nityaṃ śabdavācyaṃ tachabdāt tac ca na bhidyate || ꣸ ||
tad eva hi nityaṃ yasmis tattvaṃ na vihanyata iti bhāṣyānusāreṇaitad ucyate | tathā hi tatroktaṃ kanakam ity eva satyaṃ punar apy apayākṛtyā yuktaṃ khadirāṃgārasavarṇe kuḍale bhavata ity anenaiva dṛṣṭāṃtena vikārāpekṣayā bhinnasya brahmaṇaḥ satyatocyate | yathā hi tatra rucakādyākāropamardanena suvarṇam ity eva satyaṃ evam anaṃtavikāragrāmāpāye sarvata te vatiṣṭamānam anapāyi brahmarūpaṃ satyaṃ | tad eva ca bhāvato nityam āpekṣikaṃ tu jātyādīnāṃ vyavahāre nityatvam ucyate | tathā hi vyaktyapāye jātir avatiṣṭamānā gotvādikā nityā tatrāpy aśvatvādibhedāpāye pṛthivīty eva satyaṃ tatrāpy asvādibhedāpaye vastv ity eva satyaṃ sarvanāmapratyāyyaṃ tatrāpi saṃvidrūpasyānapāyino napagamād viṣayākāraviveke tad eva pāramārthikaṃ satyam iti neti netīty upāsīteti bhāvanayā codyate | saṃvic ca paśyaṃtīrūpā parā vāchabdabrahmamayīti brahmatattvaṃ śabdāt pāramārthikān na bhidyate | vivarttadaśāyāṃ tu vaikharyātmanā bhedas tatra ca tad eva nityaṃ jātyādirūpeṇa śabdavācyaṃ tatrāpy āṃtaropādānaśabdaviśratyā vācakatvasya vyavasthānāt svarūpātargatasyārthasya vācyavācakayor avibhāgaḥ siddha iti prathamakāṃḍe nirṇītaṃm ata evānaṃta
vaddhyācaṣṭe || ꣸ ||
na tad asti na tan nāsti na tad ekaṃ na tat pṛthak |
na saṃsṛṣṭaṃ vibhaktaṃ na vikṛtaṃ na ca nānyathā || ꣸ ||
vaikārikasarvavyavahārātītatvāt pāramārthikena rūpeṇa vikārātmakaṃ tattvaṃ bhavati | tathā hy astīti na śakyate vyavaharttuṃ sattaupādhikasya rūpasya tattvasya bhāvāyogāt tenātmanā vyavahārānavatārāt | nāpi nāstīty abhāvopādhikasyāpy atattvāt pramāṇana bhāvātmakasya tattvasyāvetiditatvād
ekasaṃkhyopadhīyamānarūpaviśeṣaṃ tattvaṃ na bhavati nirupādhinas tattvasya vastuto bhinnatvāt tathā caikam ity apratīteḥ | nāpi pṛthaktvāhitaviśeṣaṃ tadbhinnasyāsatyatvān
nāpi saṃsargopādhikaṃ vibhāgoLpādhikaṃ vā tato dvitīyasya pramāṇenānupapatteḥ kuto bhinnaṃ vibhaktaṃ ca kena vā saṃsṛṣṭaṃ syāt
pariṇāmanidhena vivarttābhyupagamān na vikṛtam anekabhāvagrāmarūpatayā cādbhutayā vṛtyā vivarttanād akṛtam ity api na śakyate vyavaharttum ini sarvavyapadeśātītaṃ tattvaṃ parabrahma
atha ca tadātmaiva vidyāyām avadhāryate ity āha || ꣸ ||
tan nāsti vidyate tac ca tad ekaṃ tat pṛthak_ pṛthak |
saṃsṛṣṭaṃ ca vibhaktaṃ ca vikṛtaṃ tat tad anyathā || ꣸ ||
bhāvābhāvavikārāvabhāsajananaśakti tad evāsti stiti ca sattāsattopādhikavyavahārasad bhāvatas tan niḥsattāsattaṃ niḥsadasat paraṃ brahma vyāvahārikaṃ caikānekavyavahāri jātivyaktyātmanā tad eva varttayati | saṃkhyopādhikam api ca evaṃ saṃyogopādhikam apy anyasaṃsargitayāvabhāsanād evaṃ vivekāvasāyas tatra tathā samastavikārātmanā janyamānavim ivākāśādyātmanā kūṭasthatayā tad evāvabhāsata iti tadātmaiva tatvam ity uktaṃ |
evaṃ ca kṛtvā sarvasya tanmayatvāvirodhino pi vyavahārās tatraivopalīyaṃta ity āha || ꣸ ||
tasya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdharūpam ekasya vidyate |
tad dṛśyaṃ darśanaṃ draṣṭā darśane ca prayojanaṃ || ꣸ ||
vācyavācakasaṃbaṃdhānām abhāvate dvayarūpatā | tatra hy āṃtare tattve saty arthaśaktī saṃsṛchete iti vivarbhadaśāyāṃ śrutyarthaśākhātmanā tasyaiva vikārād vācyavācakarūpatayā bhedāvabhāse jñānajñeyarūpatayevāvidyeti braṃhmākāṃḍa eva saprapaṃcam ayam artho smābhir nirṇīta iti tata evāvadhāryaṃ |
draṣṭadṛśyarūpatayā tasyaiva vivarttas tathā hi dṛśyaṃ bhāvad bhāvajāta saṃvidrūpākāra ichaṃ vedyamānaṃ vedyatvād eva cedam akenekaparamārtham aprakāśasya prakāśanāyogād iti pūrvakāṃḍadvayaviddhau pravitatya vicāritaṃ | dravyaṣṭāpi jīvātmā'vidyākṛtāvachedo niyataḥ saṃsārī bhoktā brahmaiva cetanatvāt tāvato bhedānupapatter itī tatraivāveditaṃ | anena ca pradhānakartṛkarmarūpakārakanirdeśena kārakāṃtarasyākṣepāt siddharūpo vivarttaḥ pratipādito
darśanaśabdena ca pradhānakriyānirdeśakena ca kriyatasyākṣepāt sādhyasvabhāvakriyāvivartto py uktaḥ | kālaśaktyavachinno hi kriyāvivartto dik_śaktyavachinnasya mūrttir vivartta iti mūrttikriyāvivarttarūpaṃ viśvaṃ pratipāditaṃ |
prayojanaśabdena ca samastakriyāphalanirdeśa iti sādhyasādhanaphalarūpatayā viśvasaṃkalanāyām aśeṣavivarttānuguṇyaṃ brahmaṇaḥ pratipāditaṃ | ekasya sarvabījasya yasya ceyam anekadhā | bhoktabhoktavyarūpe bhogarūpeṇa ca sthitir iti brahmakāṃḍe pratipāditaṃ tatraiva ca satattvanirṇayo smābhir vyadhāyi prakhyopakhyātmakatvāc ca vyavahārasya dvitve śabdarthasaṃbaṃdharūpaṃ tad dṛśyadarśanaṃ ceti bhedenātra nirdeśa etac cāvidyāmayaṃ rūpaṃ kathyate | pāramārthikaṃ tu praśāṃtaprapaṃcarūpaṃ vakṣyati | yatra draṣṭā ca dṛśyaṃ ca darśana cāvikalpitaṃ | tasyaivārthasya satyatvaṃ śritāLs trayyantavedita iti |
uktam idam āktatisaṃhārāṃte yad avatiṣṭate tat satyam iti | tatraitat syād aṃte na kiṃcid avatiṣṭate | asad apadam evaitad viśvam āvirbhavatīty āśaṃkya vinā hetunā'bhinnakāraṇapūrvakatvam anvayamukhena dṛṣṭāṃtopakramaṃ sādhayitum āha || ꣸ ||
vikārāpagame satyaṃ suvarṇaṃ kuṃḍale yathā
vikārāpagame satya tathāhuḥ prakṛtiṃ parāṃ || ꣸ ||
kuṃḍalāvasthātmakavikārāpāye kuṃḍale suvarṇam ekaṃ satyam avatiṣṭate tathā pṛthivyādivikāravigame yinī yā prakṛtir abhinnā satyāvatiṣṭata ity upeyaṃ | āhur ity āgamapramāṇasiddhatā dhanati brahmaṇaḥ | tathā coktaṃ | ekam eva yad āmnātam iti | ātmaivedaṃ sarvam iti ca śrutiḥ | upodbalamātraṃ ty anumānaṃ | tathā hi nirupākhyād asato parād vikāraprādurbhāvo na yuktaḥ | abhāvasya bhāvarūpatvavirodhā|n na hi śaśaśṛṃgāt kasyacid udbhavo dṛśyate || asti ca vijñānarūpatayā jagaty anvaya iti tatpūrvakam evaitat tathā ca vakṣyati | nābhāvo vyate bhāvo neti bhāvo nupākhyatāṃm iti | tatra cidrūpasya cichaktir apariṇāminīti vikārābhāvān nedaṃ saṃkhyanayavatpariṇāmadarśanam api tu vivarttapakṣaḥ | viśeṣaś cānayor vākyapadīye smābhir chākhyāta iti tata evāvadhāryaḥ | ihāpi saṃbaṃdhasamuddeśe vakṣyate kāraṇāṃtaravyudāsaś cādvayasiddhau vihita iti saty arthitve tata evāvagaṃtavyaḥ |
tad evam ātmaśabdābhidheyasya brahmaṇaḥ padārthaparamārtharūpatvād dravyarūpatvam upapādya sarvaśabdavācyatvaṃ tasyaiva nigamayitum āha || ꣸ ||
vācyā sā sarvaśabdānāṃ śabdāś ca na pṛthak tata
apṛthaktve ca saṃbaṃdhas tayor nānātmanor ivā || ꣸ ||
tattadupādhiparikalpitabhedabahulatayā vyavahārasyāvidyābhūyastvena pratiniyavākāropādhīyamānarūpabhedaṃ brahmaiva sarvaśabdaviviṣaya ity ukto rthaḥ | ātmā brahma tattvam ityādayo pi hi śabdāḥ samavalaṃbitopādhayo dravyātmānam anu parivarttaṃte nirupādhiko vāgviṣayātattvāviṣaya iti tad vāṅmanasātītaṃ hi tat tattvam upadiśaṃti brahmavidaḥ | ghaṭādiśabdāpekṣayā tv ātmādiśabdāḥ pratyāsannāḥ sarvasya ca tanmayatva tadātmakatvā api tadātmakā yathāvibhaktaṃ prāk | abhede pi ca pāramārthike saṃvṛto lokayātrāyāṃ bhedo satya itīvaśabdaḥ | ata eva dviṣṭasaṃbaṃdhopapattiḥ
nanu ceṃdrajālam idaṃ | yad avadhṛtarūpabhedānām api bhāvanām anāvṛtya tattvam avasīyamānābhedaparamārthatopadeśanam ity āśaṃkya dṛṣṭāntenaivat sādhayitum āha || ꣸ ||
ātmā paraḥ priyo dveṣyo vaktā vācyaṃ prayojanaṃ |
viruddhāni yathekasya svapne rūpāṇi cetasa || ꣸ ||
ajanmayini tathā nitye paurvāparyavivarjite |
tattve janmādirūpatvaṃ viruddham upalabhyate || ꣸ ||
svapnāvasthāgataḥ prapaṃco jāgarayā bāddhyanatvād asatya iti sarvavādyabhyupagamaḥ | tenaiva ca dṛṣṭāṃtana jāgarāyām api bhāvabhedaṃ turīyadaśāyām ananuvṛtter asatyo pasthāpyate | yat kila sarvāvasthāsv anugataṃ tad eva satyaṃ tac ca saṃvinmātrarūpam abāddhyamānam avasthābhedas tv āgamāpāyitvād bāvito san muLkhaduḥkhādivat tathā hi rāgādayaḥ mukhādayaś cāsvabhāvatvāt saṃvinmātrarūpaṃ na vikurvaṃti | tathāvasthābhedo py anekākārakāt tuṣṭopahatas
tatra ca svapne viruddhākārollekhollekho vaikalpikī dṛṣṭiḥ | pratipramātṛniyatā | vaikalpikābhimāno vyāpārānusārī saṃsārī bhokta sa ca bhāvataś cetanatvād brāhmaiva tathā ca tāvati svātaṃtryānvitāpīśvaro nanyopādānād bhāvānāhāryo ya bhuṃkte | priyāpriyarūpatayā rāgadveṣādimayena saṃsāramohena svaparavibhāgānusāraḥ parasaṃkathādiṣu | tadāhur vedāṃtatattvanipuṇāḥ | pratibhāṣv ātmanātmānaṃ sṛṣṭvā bhāvān pṛthagvidhān | sarveśvaraḥ sarvamayaḥ svapne bhoktā pravarttate iti | bhokteti vacanāt pratyagātmasṛṣṭir iyam uktā | tasya ca sarveśvaratvād brahmarūpatve sṛṣṭisāmarthyam uktaṃ sarvamayatvāc cānanyopādānavicitrabhāvaracanām ātmopādānam āhuḥ | ata eva pravibhaṣv ātmanātmānam iti kartṛkarmabhedābhāvāc ca vaikalpikatvam asyāḥ sṛṣṭeḥ sphuṭam ukāṃ bāhyopādānāt tu jāgarāyām aiśvarī sṛṣṭir viśvaśabdacyā sarvapramātṛsādhāraṇī
sthiratvāsthiratvagrahāveśanimittas tu bhedo vidyāpravṛttirūpatvāt punar asatyatā samānaiva | kevalaṃ satyām asatyām avidyāyām aparo mohaś cikakter āvarakā nidrā nāma | tadvaśād atraiva bhrāṃtatvābhimāno rvāgdṛśa paramārthadṛśāṃ tu jananamaraṇarahite pravibhakte kūṭasthe parasmin brahmaṇi cidānaṃdarūpe sarvam eva jagaj jā asvapnādyavasthāgata mūrttikriyāvivarttarūpanasatyasam anvayicitsāmānyamātraṃ tu paramārtha iti siddhaṃ viruddham upalabhyata iti vadann avidyāyāṃ virodham abhyupaiti | etad eva hy avidyāyāḥ svarūpaṃ yad anupapadyamānam apy ābhāsopagama nayāti | upapannatve vidyaiva vyāt tasmād asatprakāśanaśakti brahmaṇo nādisiddhā grāhyagrahakayugalasyānurūpam uparacayya jagannādyam ātanotīty avicāritaramaṇīyām imām apanayanti tatvadṛśaḥ | ꣸ ||
