This manuscript was part of the private collection of H. T. Colebrooke, who then presented it to the East India Company Library in 1819 (Rocher & Rocher 2012, 139). It is now held in the India Office collection at the British Library. The manuscript extends from the beginning of the Jātisamuddeśa to the end of the Kriyāsamuddeśa. The writing is very neat and legible, boxed in by a carefully rendered red, yellow, and black border. Corrections have been made using yellow paste. The manuscript has been bound into book form. The colophon dates it to the third month of saṃvat 1862 (1805 CE).

ghaṭākāropadhānapuraḥsara ⸤ghaṭaśabdena brahmadravyam abhimukhīkriyate || paṭākāropadhānena tu paṭaśabdenetyādi upādhirūpopahi⸤tavivekitvaṃm abhidhānīyaṃ || tad yathā || nāḍikāsuṣiravartmanihitanayanās tadavakāśāvasthitam eva⸤rthabhāgaṃ vaśyaṃti yathācadhinaṃ dṛk_śaktibhir ākārabhedair eva vastūpalakṣyate tathaiva yathādhyavasāyaṃ śabda⸤niveśāchabdair abhidhīyata ity arthaḥ ||
yathācaraṇādineṃdriyasyaiva prakāśaśaktiḥ pratibadhyate na viṣayo vikri⸤yate | tathānādyavidyāvachedaprakalpitavibhāgānāṃ jijñānām eva saṃvedanaśaktir niyamyate yena vichinnāyā⸤bhidhānena bhedaviṣayāsmābhidhānāni prayuṃjate | na tu tatvam avidyayā balīkriyate iti nāḍikānidarśanena ⸤sūcayati || nāḍikādibhir ity ādigrahaṇāvadhānapratighātamartyabhija...nādyavirodhaḥ | yatraivavye hy avadhānaṃ ⸤tad eva hy avadhāryate mūrtyabhijano saudaryaṃ tenāpahṛto nyaṃ na paśyati

upādhimātrasvabhāve Lkvāpi saṃniveśādyākāreṣu saṃniveśādiśabdā vartamānāḥ paramārthatas tatvād avyatirekād upādhīnāṃ tanni⸤karṣe svarūpasyāsvarūpatvād ātmanaiva sattvāt tad eva nityam upādhimadravyam evam apy abhidhāne bhihitatvam ātmā hy upā⸤dhīnāṃ na tu te tat syāt māne iti vyāpakatvāt sarva evopādhayas tadātmanā saṃtas tathaivābhidhīyaṃte yadā hy upādhyadhī⸤natā tadopādheya upādhayo na bhavaṃti || tatas tu pūrve dharmāṃtarāśrayatayā svātaṃtryād upādhimatva va nopādhitvam i⸤ty arthaḥ ||
yady evaṃ dharmāṇām avasthāṃtare ...dharmiṇi rūpatvānityatve satyatve cākārāṇāsasatyatvaṃ dravyasya tu satyatva⸤m ity etasya niyamesyānupapattir ity āśaṃkyāha ||
nanv atasya yo bheda iti dhravebhya āgamaḥ ||
atatvam iti maṃnyate ⸤tatvam ivāvicāritaṃ ||

tatra ca yo yaṃ prakāśaḥ sa vidyā aprakā⸤śas tu tamo vidyā prakāśābhāvo prakāśo nāma kaścit pramāṇasiddho nirūpyaḥ || tataś ca yo yaṃ bhedaprakāśaḥ sai⸤vaikaghanaprakāśābhāvaḥ prakāśāvichedo viyā tatra ca vichinnānvayo vachedo vadhāryate iti vichinnaprakāśa Lsatyo vidyaiva chinne mātraṃ tv apradhānasvabhāvaṃ na kiṃcid avidyo paramārthatvavicāre kiṃcid atatvaṃ ca tiṣṭhate tatvam eva ya⸤thāpratibhāsaṃ bhedena cakāsad avicāritaramaṇīyaṃ prapaṃco tatvam iti vyavahriyata iti brahmavidaḥ | tathā pratibhā⸤saṃ bhedena cakāsad avicāritaramaṇīyaṃ prapaṃco pakṣayā vyavasthitaṃ tatvam evābhinnatārthikā bhedadarśanavyava⸤sthitā bhedātmakatamatvaṃ manyaṃta iti vicāreṇāvidyāvilaye brahmaikaniṣṭhatā darśanaṃ || ta uktaṃ satyā viśuddhi⸤s tatroktā vidyā vetyādi |
evaṃ tena rūpeṇa brahmaiva vikalpitaṃ bhavatīti sarvavidyānāṃ tadupādhimukhaṃ tad eva vi⸤ṣayaḥ siddha ity āha ||
vikalparūpaṃ bhajate tatvam evāvikalpitaṃ ||
na cātra kālabhedas tu gṛhyate
paramārthataḥ || avi⸤kalpitaṃ vikalpānām aviṣayo yat tatvaṃ tad eva vyavahāre nyasyābhāvād vikalpayānaṃ vikalparūpaṃ nānāvidhabhe⸤dāvasāsamānādisiddhāvidyāvaśāt samavalaṃbate jīvātmabhedenāvatiṣṭhamānaṃ tadgatatveneti mūrtivivartā¦⸤śrayād eva śaktivibhaktadeśanānātvaṃ nimittapaurvāparyāvalaṃbanasahaṃ | evam akālakalitam api tatvam anādi⸤nidhanaṃ kālākhyasvataṃtraśaktiviniveśitapratibaṃdhābhyanujñāvaśāj janmādibhāvayikārābhidhīyamānapau⸤rvāparyaṃ cakāstīty arthaḥ ||

athavā saṃtavadharmācchuritaṃ vijñānaṃ viśuddhabodhasvabhāvam apy anujñāyā vyavahāre vabhāsata iti || itthaṃ ni⸤darśanāṃtaram āha ||
tathā vikārarūpāṇāṃ tattve tyaṃtam asaṃbhavaḥ ||
tadātmeva ca tat tatvam anyaṃ tam atadātmakam ||

nāpi saṃsargopādhikaṃ vibhāgopādhikaṃ vā tato dvitīyasya pramāṇenānupapatteḥ || kuto bhinnaṃ vibhaktaṃ ⸤ca kena ...vā saṃsṛṣṭaṃ syāt
parimāṇaniṣedhena vivartābhyupagamāt_ na vikṛtaṃ anekabhāvagrāmarūpatayā cādbhu⸤tasya vṛttyā vivartanād adhikṛtam ity ucyate vyavahartum iti sarvavyapadeśātītatvaṃ paraṃ brahma
atha ca tadātmikā⸤viṣāyām avadhāryata ity āha |
tan nāsti vidyate tac ca tad ekaṃ tat pṛthak pṛthak ||
saṃsṛṣṭaṃ ca vibhaktaṃ ca vikṛtaṃ ta ⸤tad anyathā ||
bhāvābhāvādhikārāva...bhāsajanaśakti tad evāsti ca sattāsattopādhikavyavahāramahāram ahaṃ⸤bhāvas tu niḥsattāsattaṃ niḥsadasat paraṃ brahma vyavahārikaṃ vaikānekavyavahāraṃ jātivyaktyātmanā tad eva vartaya⸤ti saṃkhyopādhikam api ca evaṃ saṃoyogopādhikam api tu anyasaṃsargitayāvabhāsanāt || evaṃ vivekāva⸤sāya...s tatra tathā samastavikārātmanā janyamānam ivākāśādyātmanā kūṭasthayā tad evāvabhāsa iti tadā⸤tmaiva tatvam ity uktaṃ ||
evaṃ ca kṛtvā sarvasya tanmayatvād virodhino pi vyavahārās tatraivopalīyaṃta ity āha
ta⸤sya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdhaṃ rūpam ekasya dṛśyate ||
tad dṛśyadarśanaṃ draṣṭā darśane ca prayojanaṃ ||
vācyavācakasaṃbaṃdhānā Lbhāvato dvayarūpato tatra hy āṃtare tatvaśrutyarthaśaktī saṃsṛjyeta iti vivartadaśāyāṃ śrutyarthaśākhātmanā ta¦⸤syaiva vikāsād vācyavācakarūpatayā bhedāvasā...yau jñānajñeyaivabhidyeti brahmakāṃḍa eva prapaṃco yam artho smā¦⸤bhir nirṇīta iti tata evāvadhāryaṃ ||
dṛśyarūpa...tayā tasyaiva vivartaḥ || tathā hi dṛśyaṃ tāvad bhāvajātaṃ saṃvidrūpārū⸤ḍha vedyatvād eva cedam ekam aparārthaprakāśasya prakāśatayā yogād iti pūrvakāṃḍe dvitīyasiddhau ca vitatya ⸤vicāritaṃ draṣṭāpi jīvātmā avidyākṛtāvachedo niyataḥ satvaṃ sārī bhoktā brahmaiva cetanatvād bhāvato bhedā⸤nupapatter iti | tatraivāveditaṃ || anena ca pradhānakartṛkarmarūpakārakaniścayena kārakatirasyāpekṣan_ si¦⸤ddharūpo vivartaḥ pratipāditaḥ ||
darśanaśabdena ca pradhānakriyānirdeśakena kriyāṃtarasyāpekṣāt sādhyakriyā¦⸤vivarto py uktaḥ kālaśaktyuvachinnā hi kriyāvivartaḥ || divaśaktyavachinnasya mūrtivivarta iti mūrtikriyā¦⸤vivartarūpaṃ viśvaṃ pratipāditaṃ ||
prayojanaśabdena ca samatikriyāphala iti nidarśana iti sādhyasādhanaphala⸤rūpatayā viśvaṃ sakalānāyām aśeṣavivartānuguṇyaṃ brahmaṇaḥ pratipāditaṃ || ekasya sarvabījasya ceyam aneka⸤dhā noktabhoktavyarūpeṇa bhogarūpeṇa sthitir iti brahmakāṃḍe pratipāditaṃ || tatraiva ca satatvanirṇayo smābhir vya⸤vadhāyi prakhyopākhyātmakatvāt || vyavahārasya dvitve śabdārthasaṃbaṃdharūpaṃ tad dṛśyaṃ darśanaṃ ceti bhedenātra nirdeśaḥ Letac cāviyyāmayaṃ rūpaṃ kathyete pāramārthikaṃ tu prakāśītaprapaṃcarūpaṃ vakṣyati || yatra iṣyāvasā dṛśyaṃ ca darśanaṃ cāvi⸤kalpitaṃ tasyaivārthasya śrityatvaṃ śritās traiṣyaṃtavedina ity
uktam idaṃ ākṛtisaṃhāre ṃte yad avatiṣṭhate tat satyam iti ⸤tatraitat syād ante na kiṃcid avatiṣṭhate asadam apadam evaitad viśram āvirbhavatīti āśaṃkyāpi hetunā'bhinnakāraṇapū⸤rvakatvam anvayamukhena dṛṣṭāṃtopakramaṃ sādhayitum āha ||
vikārāpagame satyaṃ suvarṇaṃ kuṃḍale yathā ||
vikārāpagame ⸤satyāṃ tathāhuḥ prakṛtiṃ parām ||
kuṃḍalasvātmakavikārāpāye dve kuṃḍale suvarṇam ekaṃ satyam avatiṣṭhate yathā tathā pṛ⸤thivyādivikāravigame nvayinī prakṛtir abhinnā saty avatiṣṭhata iti upeyaṃ āhur ity āgamapramāṇasiddhatāṃ dhva⸤nati brahmaṇaḥ || tathā coktaṃ || ekam eva yad āmnātaṃm iti || ātmaivedaṃ satyam iti hi śrutiḥ || upodbalamātraṃ cānumā⸤naṃ hi tathā hi | nirupākhyād asato parāt prādurbhāvo na yuktaḥ || abhāvasya bhāvarūpatvavirodhān na hi śaśaśṛṃgā⸤t kasyacid udbhavo dṛśyate || asti ca vijñānarūpata...yā jagaty anvaya iti tatpūrvam evaitat || tathā ca vakṣyati || nā¦⸤bhāvo jāyato bhāvo naikabhāvo nupākhyatām iti || tasya cidrūpasya cicchaktir apariṇāminīti vikārā¦⸤bhāvān nedaṃ sāṃkhyanayavatpariṇāmadarśanaṃ || api tu vivartapakṣaḥ || viśeṣaś cānayor vākyapadīye smābhir vyā⸤khyātam iti tata evāvadhāryaṃ ihāpi saṃbaṃdhasamuddeśe vakṣyate kāraṇāṃtaravyudāsaś cādvayasiddhau abhihita Liti saty arthitve tata evāvagaṃtavyaḥ ||
tad evam ātmaśabdābhidheyasya brahmaṇaḥ padārthaparamārtharūpatvād dravyarūpa⸤tvam upapādya sarvaśabdavācyatvaṃ tasyaiva nigamiyitum āha |
vāyā sā sarvaśabdānāṃ śabdāś ca na pṛthak_ yataḥ |
apṛ⸤thaktve ca saṃbaṃdhatayor nānātmanor iva ||
tattadupādhiparikalpitabhedabahutayā vyavahārasyāpi vidyābhūyastve ⸤pratiniyatākāro sthīyamānarūpabhedaṃ brahmaiva sarvaśabdaviṣaya ity ukto rtha ātmā brahma tatvam ityādayo pi hi¦ ⸤śabdāḥ samavalaṃbitopādhayo 'py ātmānam unu parivartaṃte nirupādhino vāgviṣayātītatvād vā manasātītaṃ¦ ⸤hi tattvam ity upadiśaṃti brahmavida kyayadiśabdāpekṣayā tv ātmādiśabdāḥ pratyāsannāḥ sarvasya ca tanmayatvāc chabdā ⸤api tadātmikāḥ | yathāvibhaktaṃ prāk_ abhede pi ca pāramārthikasaṃvṛto lokayātrāyāṃ bhedo satya itīvaśabdaḥ a⸤ta eva dvipsasaṃbaṃdhopapattiḥ ||
nanu ceṃdraijālam idraṃ padavivṛtarūpabhedānām api bhāvānām anāvṛtya tattvam avasīya¦⸤mānāparamārthatopadeśanam ity āśaṃkya dṛṣṭāṃtenaitat sādhayitum āha ||
ātmā yadi priyo dveṣyo vakāvācyaṃ prayoja⸤naṃ |
viruddhāni yathaikasya svapne rūpāṇi cetasaḥ ||
ajanmani tathā nitye paurvāparyavivakṣite ||
tattve janmādirūpatvaṃ ⸤viruddham upalabhyate ||
svapnāvasthāgataḥ prapaṃco jāgarayā bādhyamānatvād asatya iti sarvavādyabhyupagamaḥ | tenai⸤va dṛṣṭāṃtena jā...garāyām api bhāvabhedapurītati... daśāyām ananuvṛtter asatyo vasthāpyate || yat kila sarvāvasthāsv anuLgataṃ tad eva satyaṃ tac ca saṃvinmātraṃ rūpam abādhyamānam avasthābhedas tv āgamāpāyitvād bādhite sat sukhaduḥkhā¦⸤divat || tathā hi rāgādayaḥ sukhādayaś cāsvabhāvatvāt saṃvinmātraṃ rūpaṃ na vikurvati | tathāvasthābhedo py anekā⸤kāramuṣyopahataḥ ||
tatra svapne viruddhakāro vairavo vaikalpikī dṛṣṭiḥ pratimātṛniyatā vaikalpikīti ko ⸤bhimāno vyāpārānusārī bhoktā samavabhā...vatad a...cetanatvāt_ brahmaiva | tathā ca tāvati svātaṃtryānimittāpīśva⸤ro pādānābhāvāt_ nābhāsyāpannakriyā priyāpriyarūpatayā rāgadveṣādimayena saṃsāramohena paravibhāgābhā⸤gānusārī parasaṃkathādiṣu || tadāhuḥ | vedāṃtatatvanipuṇāḥ pravibhajyātmanātmānaṃ sṛṣṭvā bhāvāt pṛthagvidhā¦⸤t sarveśvaraḥ sarvamayaḥ svapne bhoktā pravartate iti | bhokteti pratyagātmasṛṣṭir iyum uktā tasya ca sarveśvaratvāt || ⸤brahmarūpatve sṛṣṭisāmarthyam uktaṃ sarvamayatvāc cānanyopādānavicitrabhāvaracanām ātmopājñānam āhuḥ | a⸤ta eva pravibhajyātmanātmānam iti kartṛkarmabhedābhāvāc ca vaikalpikatvam asya sṛṣṭeḥ spaṣṭam uktaṃ || bāhyopādānā ⸤tu jāgarāyām aiśvarī sṛṣṭir viśvaśabdavācyā sarvapramātṛsādhāraṇī ||
sthitatvāt sthiratvagrahāvedānimitta⸤s tu bhedaḥ || avidyāpravṛttirūpatvāt punar asatyatā samānaiva kevalaṃ satyām avidyām aparo mohaś cichakter āvā⸤rako nidrā nāma tadvaśād atraiva bhaḥ || tatvābhimāne ryāgdaśā paramārthadaśāṃ tu jananamaraṇarahitaiḥ pravibhakte kūLṭasthe parasmin brahmaṇi cidānaṃdarūpe sarvam eva jagaj jāgratsvapnāvasthāgataṃ mūrtikriyāvivartarūpaṃ sa sṛtsam a⸤nvayicitsāmānyamātraṃ tu paramārtha iti siddhaṃ viruddham upalabhyata iti vadann avidyāyāṃ virodham upaiti | eta⸤d eva hy avidyāyāḥ svarūpaṃ yad anupapadyamānam apy āsopagamaṃ nayati upalabdhatve vidyaiva syāt || tasmād asa⸤tyaprapaṃcaprakārānaśaktir brahmaṇo nādisiddhā grāhyagrāhakayugalasyānurūpam uparacanā jagalādyam āta⸤notīty avicāritaramaṇīyām imām apanayaṃti tatvadṛśaḥ ||
