This transcription was made from a black and white photocopy of the mauscript, which is held in the Sarasvati Bhavan Library of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi. It is designated as D in Subramania Iyer's edition. It extends from the beginning of the Jātisamuddeśa to the end of the Kriyāsamuddeśa; however, only the first 100 folios were made available. In the manuscript, va and ba are not distinguished, and ī is often mistaken as ā. The consonant cluster dbha is often written as bhda — this has been indicated in the transcription with the <g> tag. This manuscript is very closely correlated with the manuscript from the Asiatic Society of Bengal (K); in fact, in one place, it omits one full line from K, which may indicate that this manuscript was copied directly from K. However, it also has some readings which are more correct than K, namely vākyapadīye where K has vokyapadīye.

rucakakuṃḍalādyākāra⸤viśeṣopādhāyamānarūpābhedam api suvarṇam ity eva sarvatropādhirūpaṃ satyam iti upādhibhi ākāraviśeṣais tatsādhyārthakriyākaraṇāLn na tatraiva rucakādiśabdāḥ kṛtapadasaṃbaṃdhāḥ kituṃ tadatiricyamānam arthavasty abhidhāyakatvena samāviśaṃti tadvat prakṛtisaṃbaṃdhād āro⸤pahitanānātvam api paratatvaṃ śabdagovara ity arthaḥ_ tatra cāpāyibhir iti hetunirdeśaḥ śākyasamakakṣyatayā kataḥ tataś copādhānām a⸤vācyatvam asatyatvaṃ ca sidhyati asatyatvād evārthakriyākaraṇāt tadarthaṃ ca śabdavyavahārād avācyatvaṃ teṣām ity arśaḥ

ghaṭākādopadhānapuraḥsaraṃ ghaṭaśabdena brahmadravyam abhimukhīkriyate paṭākāro⸤padhānena tu paṭaśabdenetvādy upādhirūpopahitavivekitvam abhidhānīyaṃ_ tad yathā nāḍikārabhedair eva vastūpalakṣyate tathaiva ca yathā⸤dhyavasāyaṃ śabdaniveśāchabdair abhidhāyata ity arthaḥ

teṣv ākāreṣu ya śabdas tathābhūteṣu vartate_
tatvātmakatvāt tenāpi nityam evābhidhāyate_
upādhimātrasvabhāveṣv api saṃ⸤niveśādyākāreyu saṃniveśādiśabda vartamānā paramārthatas tatvād avyatirekād upādhīnāṃ tanniṣkarṣaṃ svarūpasyāsvarūpatvād ātmanaiva ⸤satvāt tad eva nityam upādhimallīnatā tadā dravyam evam apy abhidhāne bhihitaṃ bhavāti tatvam ātmā hy apādhānā na tu tevalasyātmāna iti vyāLpakatvāt sarva evopādhayas tadātmanā saṃtas tathaivābhidhāyaṃte dā hy upādhimallānatā tadopādheya dhayo na bhavaṃti tatas tu nimeṣe dharmāṃtarā⸤śrayatayā svātaṃtryād upādhimatvam eva nopādhitvam ity āśayaḥ_
yady evaṃ dharmāṇām avasthāṃtare dharmirūpatvān nityatve satyatve cākārīṇām a⸤satyatvaṃ dravyasya tu satyatvam ity etasya niyamasyānupapatir ity āśaṃkyāha_
na tatvātatvayor bheda iti vṛddhebhya āgamaḥ
atatvam iti manyaṃ⸤tve tatvam evā'vivāritaṃ_
ayam atrārthaḥ_ nehādvaitanaye satyāsatye dve rūpe stuḥ_ advaitahāniprasaṃgāt_ kiṃ tu pāramārthikam evam evādvayaṃ¦ ⸤tac cānādisiddhāviyāvilasitasahayamāpramātṛviṣayatayā yathātatvam atadhabhāsamānam anekavikalpaparighaṭitākārarūpata⸤yā vyavahāram avatarati tathā va tad evākāranānātvonnāyamānasvarūpabheda cakāsti nānyat_ tadvyatiriktasyānyasyābhāvāt__
tatra ca yo ⸤yaṃ prakāśaḥ sa vidyā aprakāśas tu tamo vidyā na ca prakāśābhāvo prakāśo nāma kaścit prakāśamāṇasiddho nirūpyaḥ tataś ca yo yaṃ bheda⸤prakāśaḥ saivaikaghānaprakāśābhāvaḥ prakāśavichedo vidyā tatra va vichinnānvayo vachedo vadhāryate iti vichinnaprakāśaḥ satyo vi⸤dyaiva vichedamātraṃ tv apradhānasvabhāvaṃ na kiṃcid avidyeti paramārthatvavicāre kiṃcid atatvaṃ vyavatiṣṭate tatvam eva yathāpratibhāsaṃ bhedeLna cakāsad avicāritaramaṇāyaṃ prapaṃco tatvam iti vyavahriyata iti brahmavidaḥ tathā cāvicāritaramaṇīyaṃ parākṣayā vyavasthitaṃ tatva⸤m evābhinnaṃ tīrthikā bhedadarśanavyavasthitā bhedātmakam atatvaṃ manyaṃta iti vicāreṇa brahmaiva vikalpitaṃ bhavatītilaye brahmaikani⸤ṣṭatā darśanaṃ tad uktaṃ satyā viśuddhis tatroktā vidyaivetyādi_
evaṃ tena tena rūpeṇa brahmaiva vikalpitaṃ bha...vatīti sarvaviśabdānāṃ⸤dyānāṃ tadupādhimukhaṃ tad eva viṣayaḥ siddha ity āha_
vikalparūpaṃ bhajate tatvam evāvikalpita_
na cātra kālabhedo sti kālabhedaś ca¦ ⸤gṛhyate
paramārthato 'vikalpita vikalpānām aviṣayo yat tattvaṃ tad eva vyavahāre nyasyābhāvād vikalpamānaṃ vikalparūpaṃ nānātridha¦⸤bhedāvabhāsamānādisiddhāvidyāvaśāt samavalaṃbate jīvātmabhedenāvatiṣṭamānaṃ tadgatatveneti mūrtivivarttāśrayadikaśaktinibhi⸤ktadeśanānātvaṃ nimittapaurvāparyāvalaṃbanasahaṃ evam akālakalitam api tatvam anādinidhanaṃ kālākhyasvataṃtraśaktivinive¦⸤śitapratibaṃdhābhyanujñāvaśāj janmādibhāvavikārābhidhāyamānapaurvāparyaṃ cakāstāty arthaḥ
na tv avidyamānasya tatve pratibhānam a⸤yuktam ity āśaṃkā dṛṣṭāṃtenopapādayati_
yathā viṣayadharmāṇāṃ jñāne tyaṃtam asaṃbhava
tadātmeva ca tat siddham atyaṃtam atadātmakaṃ_
viLjñānavāde viṣayākārasya tāvato satyatvātīlādis tadgato dharmo jaḍā 'jaḍe jñāne saṃbhavo 'tyaṃtam iti jaḍājaḍayor na kenacid aṃśena¦ ⸤sārūpyam ity āha_ tathā coktaṃ ekadeśena sārūpye sarvaṃ syāt sarvavedanaṃ_ sarvātmanā tu sārūpye jñānam ajñānatā vrajed iti_
athavā saṃbha⸤vidharmo kṣuritaṃ viśuddhabodhasvabhāvam apy anujñāyā vyavahāre vabhāsata iti itthaṃ nidarśanāṃtaram āha_
tathā vikārarūpāṇāṃ tatve tyaṃ⸤tam asaṃbhavaḥ_
tadātmeva ca tat tatvam atyaṃtam atadātmakaṃ_
sāṃkhyāvikṛtaṃ pradhānatatvaṃ sarvavikāragraṃthi bījāvastham abhinnam anupasṛ⸤ṣṭam eva mahādādivikāraśaktiyuktaṃ guṇasāmyāvaśyātmakaṃ guṇavaiṣamyavimardavaśopajāyamānavikāranānātvād vilakṣaṇam eva ⸤ayaṃ ca vyavahāre mahāṃdādivikārarūpāvadhāraṇena vinā tadupalaṃbhāsaṃbhava iti saveddeśe tha vidyātuvinī evam asatyākāro pradhāne⸤na tatvapratibhāsaḥ siddha iti sādhyānvayo gṛhītaḥ
kathaṃ punar etad avagamyate ākārā asatyās tato nyat satyam ity āha_
satyam ākṛtisaṃ⸤hāre yad aṃte vyavatiṣṭate_
tan nityaṃ śabdavācyaṃ tachabdāṃtatvaṃ na bhidyate_
tad eva hi nityaṃ yasmiṃs tatvaṃ na vihanyate iti bhāṣyanusāreṇaitad ucya⸤te tathā hy atroktaṃ kanakam ity ava satya punar aparayākṛtyā yuktaṃ khadirāṃgāraḥ suvarṇakuṃḍale bhavata ity anenaiva dṛṣṭāṃtena vikārāpekṣayā Lbhinnasya brahmaṇaḥ satyatocyate_ tathā hi tatra hacakādyākāropamardena suvarṇam ity eva satyaṃ evam anaṃtavikāragrāmāpāṃye sarvāṃte vatiṣṭa⸤mānam anapāyi brahmarūpaṃ satyaṃ tad eva va bhāvato nitya āpetyaṃ tu jātyādīnāṃ sarvavyavahāre nityatvam ucyate_ tathā hi vyaktyapāye ⸤jātir avatimumānā gotvādikā nityā tatrāpy asvatvādibhedatyāge pṛthivīty ava satyaṃ tatrāpy atyādibhedāpāye vastv ity eva sa⸤tyaṃ sarvanāmapratyāyyaṃ tatrāpi saṃvidrūpasyāṃ nuyāyino nugamād aviṣayākāraviveke tad eva pāramārthikaṃ satyam iti neti ne⸤ty upāsīteti bhāvanayā codyate saṃvic ca paśyaṃtīrūpā parār vāk_ śabdabrahmamayīti brahmatatvaṃ śabdāt pāramārthikān na bhidyatte vi¦⸤varttadaśāyāṃ tu vaiśvaryātmanā bheda tatra ca tad eva nityaṃ jātyādirūpeṇa śabdavācyaṃ tatrāṃtare pādānaviśrāṃtyā vācakatvasya vyavasthā⸤panāt sarūpāṃtargatasyārthasya vācyatvād vācyavācakayor avibhāgaḥ siddhaḥ iti prathamakāṃḍe niṇātaṃ ata evānaṃtaram ihābhidhāsya⸤ti tasya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdhaṃ rūpam ekasya dṛśyata iti
yad uktaṃ tadātmeva ca tat tavam atyaṃtam atadātmakam iti tatrātyaṃtam atadātmakatāṃ tāva¦⸤d vyācaṣṭe_
na tad asti na tan nāsti na tad ekanaṃ tat pṛthak__
na saṃsṛṣṭaṃ vibhaktaṃ vā na vikṛtaṃ na va nānyathā_
vaikārikasarvavyavahārātītatvāLt pāramārthikena rūpeṇa vikārātmakaṃ tatvaṃ na bhavati tathā hi astāti na śakyate vyavaharttuṃ satvopādhikasya svarūpasya tatvasya bhāvayogā⸤t tenātmanā yavahārānavatārāt__ nāpi nāstīty abhāvopādhikasyāpy atathātvāt pramāṇena bhāvātmakasya tattvasyāveditatvād

bhāvāvavikārāvabhāsajananaśakti tad evāsti ca sattāsattopādhi⸤kavyavahāramahāram ahebhāvas tu niḥsattāsattaṃ niḥsadasat paraṃ brahma vyavahārikaṃ caikānekavyavahāraṃ jātivyaktyātmanā tad eva vartaya⸤ti saṃkhyopādhikam api ca evaṃ saṃyogopādhikam api anyasaṃsargitayāvabhāsanāt__ evaṃ vivekāvasāyas tatra tathā samastavikā⸤rātmanā janyamānam ivākāśādyātmanāt kaṭasthatayā tad evāvabhāsa iti tadātmaiva tatvam ity uktaṃ_
evaṃ ca kṛtvā sarvasya tanmayatvād vi⸤rodhino pi vyavahārās tatraivopalīyaṃta ity āha_
tasya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdharūpam ekasya dṛśyate
tad dṛśyaṃ darśanaṃ draṣṭā darśane va prayojanaṃ
⸤vācyavācakasaṃbaṃdhānā bhāvato dvayarūpatā tatra hy āṃtare tatvayujyarthaśaktī saṃsajyete iti vivartadaśāyāṃ śrutyarthaśākhātmanā ⸤tasyaiva vikāsād vācyavācakarūpatayā bhedāvabhāsau jñānajñeyaivāvidyeti brahmakāṃḍa eva prapaṃcenāyam artho smābhir nirṇāta iti ⸤tata evāvadhāryaṃ_
dṛśyarūpatayā va tasyaiva vivartaḥ tathā hi dṛśyaṃ tāvad bhāvajātaṃ saṃcidupārūṭaṃ vedyamānaṃ veyatvād eva vedam aneka⸤m aparārthaprakāśasya prakāśamānatāyogād iti pūrvakāṃḍaṃ dvitīyasiddhau ca vitatya vicāritaṃ ṣṭāpi jāvātmā avidyākṛtāvachedo ⸤niyataḥ satvaṃ sārī bhoktā brahmaiva cetanatvād bhāvato bhedānupapatter iti tatraivāveditaṃ anena ca
pradhānakriyānirdeśakena kriyāṃta⸤rasyāpekṣāt sādhyasvabhāvakriyāvivarto py uktaḥ kālaśaktyavachinnā hi kriyāvivartaḥ dik_śaktyavachinnasya mūrtivivarta iti mūrti⸤kriyāvivartarūpaṃ viśvaṃ pratipāditaṃ_
prayojanaśabdena ca saṃmatikriyāditaṃ ekasya sarvabījasya ceyam anekadhā bhoktṛbhoktavyaLphala iti nidarśa iti sādhyasādhanaphalarūpatayā viśvasaṃkalāyānām aśeṣavivartānuguṇyaṃ brahmaṇaḥ pratipāditaṃ ekasya ⸤sarvabījasya ceyam ekadhā bhoktṛbhoktavyarūpeṇa bhogarūpeṇa sthitir iti brahmakāṃḍe pratipāditaṃ tatraiva va satatvanirṇayo smā⸤bhi vyavadhāyi prācyopākhyātmakatvāt_ ca vyavahārasya dvitve śabdārthasaṃbaṃdharūpaṃ tad dṛśyadarśanaṃ ceti bhedenātra nirdeśaḥ etac cā⸤vidyāmayaṃ rūpaṃ kathyate pāramārthikaṃ tu prakāśātaprapaṃcarūpaṃ vakṣyati yatra draṣṭā ca dṛśyaṃ va darśanaṃ cāvikalpitaṃ tasyaivārthasya ⸤satyatvaṃ śritās trayyaṃtavedina iti
yuktam idaṃ ākatisaṃhāre te yad avatiṣṭhate tat satyam iti tatraitat syād atre na kiṃcid avatiṣṭate ⸤asadam apadam evaitad viśvam āvirbhavatīty āśaṃkyāpi hetunābhinnakāraṇasarvakatvam anvayamukhena dṛṣṭāntomakramaṃ sādhayitum ā⸤ha_
vikārāpagame satyaṃ satyaṃ suvarṇaṃ kuṃḍale yathā
vikārāpagame satyāṃ tathāhuḥ prakṛtiparāṃ_
kuṃḍalasvātmavikārāpāye dve kuṃḍa⸤le svavarṇam ekaṃ satyam avatiṣṭate yathā tathā pṛthivyādivikāravigame nvayinī prakṛtir abhinnā saty avatiṣṭata ity apeyaṃ āhur ity ā⸤gamapramāṇasiddhatāṃ dhvanati brahmaṇaḥ tathā coktaṃ ekam eva yad āmnātam iti_ ātmaivedaṃ satyam iti hi śrutiḥ upodbalamātraṃ cānumāLnaṃ tathā hi nirūpākhyād asato parāt prādurbhāvo na yuktaḥ_ abhāvasya bhāvarūpatvavirodhān na hi śaśaśṛṃgāt kasyacid uduvo dṛśyate_ asti ⸤ca vijñānarūpatayā jagaty anvaya iti tatpūrvam evaivakṣyatat_ tathā ca vati nābhāvo jāyate bhāvo naikabhāvo nupākhyatām iti lasya ⸤cidbhūyasya cichaktir apariṇāminīti vikārābhāvān nedaṃ sāṃkhyanayavatpariṇāmadarśanaṃ api tu vivartapakṣaḥ viśeṣaś cāna⸤yo vākyapadīye smābhir vyākhyātam iti tata evāvadhāryaṃ ihāpi saṃbaṃdhasamudeśe vakṣyate kāraṇāṃtadravyadāsaś cādvayabhiddhau a⸤bhihita iti saty arthitve tata evāvagaṃtavyaḥ
tad evam ātmaśabdābhidheyasya brahmaṇaḥ padārthaparamārtharūpatvād adravyarūpatvam upapā⸤dya sarvaśabdavācyatvaṃ tasyaiva nigamamitum āha_
vidyā sā sarvaśabdānāṃ śabdāś ca na pṛthak_ tataḥ_
apṛthaktve ca saṃbaṃdhas tayor nānātma⸤nor iva_
tattadupādhiparikalpitabhedabahutayā vyavahārasyāpi vidyābhūyastve pratiniyatākāro sthāyamānarūpabhedaṃ brahmaiva sa⸤rvaśabdaviṣaya ity ukto rthaḥ_ ātmā brahma tatvam ity udaye pi hi śabdāḥ samavalaṃbitopādhayo thātmānam ana parivartaṃte nihapādhi⸤to vādyeṣayātītatvād vā manasātītaṃ hi tatvam ity upadiśaṃti brahmavidaḥ yadi śabdāpekṣeyā tv ātmādiśabdāḥ pratyāsannāḥ sarvasya va Ltanmayatvāchabdā api tadātmikāḥ yathāvibhaktaṃ prāk_ abhede pi va pāramārthikasaṃvato lokayālāyāṃ bhedo satya itīvaśabdaḥ ata e⸤va dviṣṭasaṃbaṃdhopapatiḥ
nanu cedraṃjālam idaṃ yad avavṛttarūpabhedānām api bhāvānām anāvṛtya tatvam avasīyamānāparamārthatopadeśana⸤m ity āśaṃkya dṛṣṭāṃtenetat sādhayitum āha_
ātmā para priyo dveṣyo vaktā vācyaṃ prayojanaṃ
svapnāvasthāgataḥ prapaṃco jāgarayā bādhyamānatvād asatya iti sarvavādyabhyupagamaḥ tenaiva dṛṣṭāṃtena jāgarāyām api bhāvabhedas turāyadasāyām ananuvṛtter asa⸤tyo vasthāpyate yat kitsa sarvāvasthāsv anugataṃ tad eva satyaṃ tac ca saṃvinmātraṃ rūpam abādhyamānaṃ avasthābhedas tv āgamāpāyitvād bādhi¦⸤taḥ sat sukhaduḥkhādivat_ tathā hi rāgādayaḥ sukhādayaś cāsvabhāvatvāt saṃvinmātraṃ rūpaṃ na vikurvaṃti tathāvasthābhedo py anekākārabu⸤ddhyopahataḥ_
tatra svapnaṃ viruddhakārollekho vaikalpikā dṛṣṭiḥ pratimātṛniyatā vaikalpikīti ko bhimāno vyāpārānusarī saṃsārī saṃ⸤sārī bhoktā sa ca bhāvatad acetanatvāt_ brahmaiva tathā ca tāvati svātaṃtryānimitāpāśvaro nanyopādānābhāvāt_ nābhāsyāyat tu pri⸤yāpriyarūpatayā rāgadveyādimayena saṃsāramohena paravibhāgābhāgānusārī parasaṃkathādiṣu tathādāhu dāṃtatatvanipuṇāḥ praLvibhajyātmanātmānaṃ sṛṣṭvā bhāvān_ pṛthagvidhān sarveśvaraḥ sarvamayaḥ svapne bhoktā pravartate_ iti bhokteti pratyagātmasṛṣṭir iyam uktā tasya ⸤ca sarveśvaratvāt__ brahmarūpatve sṛṣṭisāmarthyam uktaṃ sarvamayatvāc cānanyopādānavicitrabhāvasvanām ātmopājñānām āhuḥ_ ata eva ⸤pravibhajyātmanātmānam iti kartṛkarmabhedābhāvāc ca vaikalpikatvam asya sṛṣṭeḥ sphuṭaktaṃ bāhyopādānā tu jāgarāyām aiśvarī sṛṣṭi⸤r viśvaśabdavācya sarvapramātṛsādhāraṇā
sthiratvāsthiratvagrahāvedānimittas tu bhedaḥ_ avidyāpravṛtirūpatvāt_ punar asatyatā ⸤samānaiva kevalaṃ satyām avidyām aparo mohaś cichakter āvārako nidrā nāma tadvaśād atraiva matatvābhimāne rvāgdṛśāṃ paramārthadṛśāṃ tuṃ ⸤jananamaraṇarahitaiḥ pravibhakte kūṭasthe parasmin brahmaṇi cidānaṃdarūpe sarvam eva jagaj jāgratsvapnāyavasthāgaṃta mūrtikriyāvivarta⸤rūpaṃ sa sṛtsapram anvayicitsāmānyamātraṃ tu paramārtha iti siddhaṃ viruddhaṃm apalabhyata iti vadann avidyāyāṃ virodham abhyupaiti etad eva ⸤hy avidyāyāḥ svarūpaṃ yad anupapadyamānam apy āsopagamaṃ nayati pam uparacayā jagalādyam ātanotīty avicāritaramaṇāyām imām a⸤panayaṃti tatvadṛśaḥ_
