sarvvabhūtānāṅ kāraṇam akāraṇaṃ satvarajastamolakṣaṇam aṣṭarūpam akhilasyāsya jagataḥ sa|| ||cmbhavahetur avyaktannāma || tad ekam anekeṣāṃ kṣetrajñānām adhiṣṭhānāṃ | samudra ivodakaujasām bhāvānāṃ
tasmād avyaktān mahān utpadyate talliṅga eva | talliṅgāc ca mahatacs tallakṣaṇa evāhaṅkāra utpadyate | sa trividho vaikārikas taijaso bhūtādir iti | tatra vaikārikād ahaṃkārāt tallakṣaṇāny evaikādaśendriyāṇy utpadyante || tadyathā || śrotraṃ tvak cakṣur jjihvā ghrāṇo vāg ghastopasthapāyupādamanānsīti | tatra pūrvvāṇi pañca vuddhīndriyāṇi | itarāṇi pañca kaLrmmendriyāṇi | ubhayātmakam manaḥ | bhūtādes tallakṣaṇāny eva pañcatanmātrāṇy utpadyante || tadyathā || śabdatanmātraṃ | sparśatanmātraṃ | rūpatanmātraṃ | rasatanmātraṃ | gandhatanmātram iti | tebhyo bhūtāni vyomānilānalajalor vvyastebhyas tadviśeṣāḥ śacbdasparśarūparasagandhāḥ | evam etāni caturvviṃśati tatvāni vyākhyātāni bhavanti |

vaidyake tu || svabhāvo niyatiḥ kālaḥ pariṇāmastatheś caraḥ |
yadṛcchati ca manyante prakṛtim pṛthucdarśiṇaḥ ||
tato jātāni bhūtāni tadguṇāny eva nirddiśet |
tebhyas tallakṣaṇaḥ kṛtsno bhūtagrāmaḥ prajāyate ||
tasyopayogo bhihitaś cikitsām prati sarvvadā |
bhūtebhyo pi paran tasmān nāsti cintā cikitsite ||
yato 'bhihitaṃ tat sambhavadravyasamūho bhūtādir uktaL iti | bhautikāni cendriyāṇy āyurvvede varṇṇyante tathaivendriyārthāḥ ||
bhavati cātra || indriyair indriyārthaṃ tu svaṃ svaṃ gṛhṇāti mānavaḥ |
niyataṃ tulyayonitvān nāmyenānyam iti sthitiḥ ||
na cāyurvvedaśāstreṣūpadiśyante || sarvvagatāckṣetrajñanityāś ca asarvvagateṣu ca kṣetrajñeṣv anityeṣu ca puruṣākhyāpakān hetūn udāharanti | āyurvvedasiddhāntād asarvvagatā kṣetrajñā nityāś ca | tiryagyocnimānuṣadeveṣu ca sañcaranti | dharmmādharmmanimittaṃ tu etenumānagrāhyāś carāḥ paramaśūkṣmāś cetanāvantaḥ śāśvatāḥ śukrārttavayoḥ sannipāteṣv abhicvyajyante | yato 'bhihitam yañ ca mahābhūtaḥ śarīrasamavāyaḥ puruṣa iti | sa khalv eṣa karmmapuruṣaś cikitsāyām adhikṛtaḥ |
tasya khalu sukhaduḥkhecchācdveṣaprayatnaḥ prāṇāpānau vuddhir mmanaḥ saṃkalpo vicāraṇānusmṛtijñānam adhyavasāyo viṣayopalabdhiś ca guṇāḥ |
sātvikās tu ānṛśaṃsyaṃ samvibhāgarucitā titikṣā satyan dharmma āstikyaṃ jñānaṃ vuddhir mmedhā smṛtir anabhiṣvaṅgatā ca || rājasās tu duḥLkhavahulatāghradānaṃ duḥśīlatvam akāruṇyam ānṛtikatvam ahaṃkāro dambho māno harṣaḥ kāmakrodhaś ceti || tāmasās tu viṣāditvaṃ nāstikyam adharmmaśīlatā vuddhinirodho 'jñānaṃ durmmedhastvam akarmmaśīlatā nidrālutvañ ceti ||
antarikṣās tu śabdaśacbdendriyaṃ sarvvacchidrasamūho viviktatā ca | vāyavyās tu sparśaḥ sparśendriyaṃ sarvvaceṣṭāsamūhaḥ sarvvaśarīspandaranaṃ laghutā ca | taijasās tu rūpaṃ rūpendriyaṃ varṇṇasantāpoc bhrājiṣṇutā paktir amarṣas taikṣṇyañ ca | āpyās tu raso ca rasendriyaṃ sarvvadravasamūho gurutā śaityaṃ sneho retaś ca | pārthivās tu gandho gandhendriyaṃ sarvvamūrttisamūho gurutā ca |

teṣu vātavarṇṇavedanaṃ vātena | pittavarṇṇavedanaṃ pittena | śleṣmavarṇṇavedanaṃ śleṣmaṇā | śoṇitavarṇṇam pittavedanaṃ | śoṇitenac | kuṇapañ ca raktena | granthibhūtaṃ śleṣmavātābhyāṃ | pūtipūyanibhaṃ pittaśoṇitābhyāṃ | kṣīṇaśukraṃ pittamārutābhyāṃ | mūtrapurīṣagandhi sannipātena | teṣu kuṇacpa granthi pūti pūya retasaḥ kṛcchrasādhyāḥ | mūtrapurīṣaretasas tv asādhyā iti |

tatra vātātmake retasi bilvavidārīkṣīram āsthāpanaṃ | madhūka snā devadāru sarala vipakvan tailan tad uttaravastiṣu vidadhyāt || dāḍima mātulaṅga phala saindhava kṣāra vasukava-Lsira siddha sarppiḥ pāyayet ||
pittātmake retasi payasyāśrīparṇṇīmadhukavipakvaṃ kṣīram āsthāpanaṃ | sarjjadhavakalkaṃ yonyā dhārayet | madhukavipakvaṃ tailam anuvāsanaṃ | tad evottaravastiñ ca vidadhyāt | kāṇḍekṣu śvadaṃṣtrā guḍūcī madhucparṇṇī bhṛṇa pañcamūla siddhaṃ sarppiḥ pāyayet ||

kākolīkṣīravidārīkvāthaṃ śarkkarāyuktam pāyayet | madhukapuṣpa-kāśmaryaphalakvātham phānitayuktam vā candanapayasyākalkaṃ yonyācn dhārayet | nimbagairikakaṣāyam ācamanaṃ || śleṣmātmake bhadraśriyakaṭukarohiṇīkaṣāyam pā-yayet | kṣīravṛkṣapravālakalkam vā | tindukakapithaśalāṭuccūrṇṇam vā kṣaudreṇa lehayet | sarjjadhavakalkaṃ yonyān dhārayet | lādhratindukakaṣāyam ācamanaṃ ||

tato 'parāhṇe pumān sarppiḥkṣīrābhyāṃ śālyodanam acbhiprāśya māsaṃ brahmacārī | tailamāṣottarāhārān nārīm upagacched rātrau sāmabhir abhiviśvāsya vikalpam evaṃ caturthyāṃ ṣāṣṭhyām aṣṭamyān daśamyāṃ dvādaśyāñ copeyā-cd

tathāpyasya vidhātavyam vidhānaṃ raktapittavact |
dhruvañ caturṇṇāṃ sānnidhye garbhbhaḥ syādvidhipūrvvakaḥ ||
kṣettrabījodakatṛṇāṃ sāmagryād aṅkuro yathā ||
evaṃ jātā rūpavanto mahāsattvāś cirāyuṣaḥ ||
bhavanty ṛṇapramoktāras saputrāḥ putriṇāṃ hitāḥ ||
tatra tejodhātur varṇṇānām prabhava iti kṛtvā | yadā garbbhotpattāv apāabdhātuLprāyam āhāram bhavati | tadā garbhbhasya gauratvaṃ | pṛthivīdhātuprāyaḥ kṛṣṇatvaṃ | pṛthivyākāśadhātuprāyaḥ śyāmatvaṃ | yādṛkvarṇṇam āhāram upasevate garbhbhiṇī tadvarṇṇaḥ prasavo bhavtīty eke bhāṣante | yathā kṛṣṇapītasvetāsu bhūmiṣu sa𑑎crppa vṛścika galagoṇḍikādayaḥ satvāḥ kṛṣṇapītasvetā iti || tatra dṛṣṭibhāgam apratipannan tejodhātur jjātyandhaṃ karoti | tad eva raktānugataṃ raktākṣaṃ | ślecṣmānugataṃ śuklākṣaṃ | pittānugatam piṅgākṣaṃ | vātānugatam vikṛtākṣaṃ ||

viśuddhaḥ pavano yasya nayane pratipadyate |
jāyate nayane tasya-c nimne kṛṣṇe site tathā ||
pittaṃ kaphayutaṃ yasya nirmmalaṃ yāti locane |
haripiṃglasamjñā vaiyete tasya locane ||
vinirddhūtamalaḥ śleṣmā yadā vraja-cti locane |
tasya netre prakāśete śuklamaṇḍalamaṇḍale ||
raktaṅ kaphayutaṃ yasya yadā vrajati locane ||
kapotanīle nayane rakte vā jāyate nṛṇāṃ ||
ghṛtakumbho yathā hy agnim āśritaḥ pravilīyate |
prasarpped ārttavan nāryāḥ puruṣasya samāgamāt ||
bīje tu vāyunā bhiLnne dvau jīvau kukṣim āgatau |
yamāv ity abhidhīyete dharmmetarapurā kṛtau ||
miśrībhāve yadā puṃso retas subahunirmmalaṃ |
tadā prasūyate nārī garbhbhiṇī dārakadvayaṃ ||
miśrībhāve striyāś caiva bahuśukraṃ yadā bhavet |
kanyādvayan tadāc nārī sūyate nātra saṃśayaḥ ||
āsekyo nāma bhavati strīpuṃsor alpabījayoḥ ||
sa śuklaṃ prāsya- labhate dhvajocchrāyam asaṃśayaḥ ||
yaḥ pūtiyonau jāyeta sac saugandhikasaṃjñitaḥ || sa yoniśephasor ggandham āghrāya labhate balaṃ ||
sve gude brahmacaryād yā strīṣu svāsu pravartate | kumbhīkaḥ sa tu vijñeya īrṣyakaṃ śṛṇu cācparaṃ ||
dṛṣṭvā vyavāyam anyeṣāṃ vyavāyāya pravarttate | īrṣyakaḥ sa tu vijñeyaḥ ṣaṇḍhakaṃ śṛṇu pañcamaṃ ||
kaumāryāṃ yas tv ṛtau mohād aṅganeva pravartate | tatra strīce-cṣṭitākāro jāyate ṣaṇḍhasaṃjñakaḥ ||
ṛtau puruṣavac cāpi yadi yoṣit prapadyate | tatra kanyā yadi bhavet sā bhaven naraceṣṭitā ||
āsekyaś ca sugandhī ca kumbhīkaś cerṣyakas tathā | saśukrakās tv amī jñeyā hy aśukraḥ ṣaṇḍhasaṃjñakaḥ ||
anayor vviprakṛtyā tu teṣāṃ śukravahā-L sirā || harṣāt sphuṭatvam āyāṃti dhvajocchrāyan tato bhavet ||
ākārācāracintābhir yādṛśībhiḥ samanvitau | strīpuṃsau tu bhaveyātāṃ tayor ggarbbho 'pi tādṛśaḥ ||
yadā tu nārī-nārī ca maithunāyopakalpataḥ | muñcantaḥ śukram anyonyam anacsthis tatra jāyate ||
sarppavṛścikakuṣmāṇḍavikṛtākṛtayas tu te |
garbhbhā evamvidhāś cānye jñeyāḥ pāpa-kṛto bhṛśaṃ ||
garbhbho vātaprakopeṇa dauhṛde na vimānitaḥ | bhave-ct kubjo thavā kūni paṅgur mmūko tha mirmmiṇaḥ ||
mātāpitror anācārād aśubhaiś ca purākṛtaiḥ | vātādīnām prakopeṇa garbhbho vaikṛtam āpnuyāt ||
malālpatvād ayogāc cac vāyo pakvāsayasya ca | vātamūtrapurīṣāṇi na garbhbhasthaḥ karoti ha ||
jarāyunā mukhe cchanne kaṇṭhe- ca kaphaveṣṭite | vāyor ggatinirodhāc ca na garbhbhasthaḥ prarodi-cti ||
niśvāsocchvāsasaṃkṣobhaḥ svapnāṅ garbhbho 'tha gacchati | mātur nniḥśvasitocchvāsasaṃkṣobhasvapnasaṃbhavān ||
sanniveśaḥ śarīrāṇāṃ dantānāṃ patanodbhavau | taleṣv asaṃbhavo yac ca romnām etat svabhāvataḥ ||
bhāvitā pūrvvadeheṣu satataṃ śāstrabuddhayaḥ |
bhavanti sttānabahulāḥ pūrvvaLjātismarā narāḥ ||
iti śārīraṃ dvitīyo 'dhyāyaḥ || ||
athāto garbbhāvakrāntiṃ śārīraṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
saumyaṃ śukramārttavam āgneyam itareṣām apy atra bhūtānāṃ sānnidhyam asty anunā viśeṣeṇa parasparopakārāt parasparānupraveśāc ca ||
tatra dampatyoḥ samprayoge tejaḥ śarīrādvāyussamīrayati | tatra tejo 'nilasannipātāc chukraṃ cyutaṃ yonim abhiprapadyate | saṃsṛjyate cārttavena tato 'gnīṣomasaṃyogāt saṃsṛjyamāno garbbhāsayam anuprapadyate kṣettrajñaścetayitā spraṣṭā ghrātā draṣṭā śrotā rasayitā puruṣo gantā sākṣī dhātā vaktā yaḥ ko 'sāvādya āyur ity evam ādibhiḥ paryāyavācakair nnāmabhir abhidhīyate | daivasaṃyogād akṣayo 'vyayo cintyo bhūtātmā satvarajastamobhir ddevāsurair aparaiś ca sahabhāvair vvāyunā preryamāṇo garbbhās ayam anupraviśati ||

prāptakārī dṛḍhotthāno dhrtimān smṛtimāñ chuciḥ | rāgadveṣabhayājñānair vvirjjito yāmyasatvavān ||
vrahmacaryavratajapaṃ homādhyayanasevinaṃ | jñānavijñānasampannam ṛṣisatvaṃ vidur naraṃ ||
saptaite sātvikāḥ kāyā rajasās tu nivodhame | aiśvaryavantaṃ raudrañ ca śūraṃ caṇḍam asūyakaṃ |

tasmāt samastacgātram avihatam adīrghavyādhipīḍitaṃ puruṣam apahṛtyāpagāyāṃ | vivaddhaṃ muñjavalvajaiḥ pañjarastamprakāśe deśe kothayet | samyak prakuthitañ coddhṛtyāya tad ehaṃ𑑎c kṛtvo śīratṛṇeveṣu kurccādīnām anyatamena śanaiḥ śanair eva ghṛṣyatvagādīn sarvvaān eva vāhyābhyanta𑑎rāna ṅgapratyaṅgaviśeṣān yathoktān lakṣayec cakṣuṣā ||

kṣīrāhārasya siddhārthakavacāpayasyāśācrivāvrahmīkuṣṭhasaindhavasiddhaṃ sarppiḥ pātuṃ prayacchet | kṣīrānnād asya madhukavacātriphalāsiddhaṃ | annād asya dvipañcamūlīkṣīratagarabhadradāruviḍaṅga- drākṣādisiddhaṃ tenaL kumārasyārogyavalamedhāyūṃṣi bhavanti |
vālaṃ punar ggātreṣu na gṛṅṇīyāt | na cainaṃ tarjjayet sahasā vā na pravodhayed vitrāsabhayāt | sahasā nāhared utkṣiped vātābhighātabhayān nopavecśayet kauvjabhayān nityaṃ cainam anuvartteta priyahitair eva m abhihitamanādyamapyabhivarddhate nityamudagrasatvasampannastv arogo bhavati ||
bhavati cātrac ||
nāśucau visṛjed vālaṃ nākāse viṣameṇa ca |
noṣṇamārutavarṣeṣu rajodhūmodakeṣu vā ||
kṣīrasātmyatayākṣīramājaṃ gavyam athāpi vā |c
dadyād astanyam aprāptau vālebhyo vīkṣya mātrayā ||
ṣaṇmāsāc cainam annam prāśayel laghuhitaṃ
nityam avarodhaś ca | syāt kṛtarakṣaḥ | upasarggabhayāc grahopasarggebhyo rakṣyā vālā bhavanti ||
atha kumāra udvijate trasyati roditi naṣṭasaṃjño bhavati || nakhadaśanair ddhātrīm ātmānañ ca paritudati dantān khādati kūjati jṛmbhate bhrūvāvutkṣipaty ūrddhvan nirīkṣate phenam udvamati sandaṣṭauLṣṭhaḥ krūrabhinnārttasvaro niśi jāgartti durvvalomnāṅgo yathāpūrvvaṃ dhātryāḥ stanyan nābhilaṣatīti sāmānyaṃ grahopasṛṣṭalakṣaṇ uktaṃ | vistareṇotta re vakṣyāmaḥ ||
śaktimantaṃ cainaṃ jñātvā yathā svam vidyāṃ grāchayet |
athāsmai pañcaviṃśativarṣāya ṣoḍaśavarṣām patnīm āvahen mitradharmmārthakāmaprajāḥ prāpsyāmīti ||
bhavati cātra || ūnaṣoḍaśavarṣācyām aprāptaḥ pañcaviṃśatiḥ | yadyādhatte pumān garvbhaḥ kukṣisthaḥ savipadyate |
jātovā ni ciraṃ jīved vā durvvalendriyaḥ |
tatra pūrvoktaicḥ kāraṇaiḥ prapatiṣyati garvbha | garvbhāsayaśroṇīvaṃkṣaṇavastiśūlāni bhavanti | raktadarśanañ ca | tāsām pariṣekāvagāhālepanair upacaret kṣīrapānaiś ca | alpālpasyandate kṣīramutpalādi siddham vā pāyayet | saṃsramāne savātapārśvaśūlānāha mūtrasaṅgāḥ sthānāt sthānaṃ cotkrāmati garvbhaḥ | tatra snigdhaṃ śītāḥ kriyāḥ | vedanāyāṃ mahāsahamadhukasvadaṃṣṭrakaṇṭakārikāsiddha payaḥ | kṣaudraśarkarāmiśram pāyayet | mūtrasaṅge darvbhādisiddhaṃ | ānāhe hiṃcgusauvarccalaraso na siddhaṃ sravati rakte koṣṭhāt kaṇṭakārikāmṛtpiṇḍagairikasarjjarasāñjanacūrṇṇa yathālābhaṃcnyagrodhāditvakpravālakalkan vā pāyayet | utpalādikaseL di siddham vā | vṛhatīdvayotpalaśārivāpayasyāmadhukasiddham vā | etenopavarttate rujasu garvbhaś cāpy āyyate || māsānumāsikam vyavasthiLvyenodumvaraśalāṭusiddhena payasā bhojayet | atīte lavaṇaṃ varjyābhir uddālukādīnāṃ pācanīyopasaṃbhṛtābhir upakrāmet yāvanto māsā garvbhasya tāvantyahāni vastyudaraśūle purāṇaguḍan dīpanīyasaṃyuktam pāyayed aricṣṭam vā | vātātapaśramasevinyā vātopahīhītatvāt srotasāṃ līyate garvbhaḥ sotikālam avatiṣṭhamāno vyāpadyate | tāṃ mṛdunā snehādinā krameṇopaccaret | utkrosarasaṃ yavāgūñ cālpasnehām prayacchet | kālātītasthāyini garvbhaviśeṣato dhānyam udūkhalamusalenābhihanyāt | viṣamam vā yānāsanacm upasevet | vātābhipanna eva śuṣyati garvbhaḥ samātuḥ kukṣin na pūrayati | mandaṃ spandate ca taṃ vṛṃhaṇīyaḥ payobhir mmāṃsarasaiś copacaret | śukraśoṇictaṃ vāyunoparuddham anavaktrāntajīvam ādhmāpayatyudaran tat kadācid yadṛcchayopaśāntan naigameṣā pahṛtam iti vadanti | tam eva kadācit pravilīyamānam āpūryamāṇam vā nāgodaram ity āhus tatrāpi līnavat pratikāraḥ | nivṛttaprasavāyāḥ punaḥ ṣaḍbhyo varṣebhyaL ūrddhvam prasavatyāḥ kumāro 'lpāyur vbhavati |
madhakuṃ śālivījañ ca payasyā suradāru ca |
aśmantakacḥ kṛṣṇatilās tāmravallī śatāvarī ||
vṛkṣādanī payasyā ca latā sotpalaśārivā |
anantā śārivā rāsnā padmam madhukam eva ca ||
vṛhatīdvayakāśmacryakṣīrīśuṃgātvaco ghṛtaṃ |
pṛthakparṇṇī valā śigra śvadaṃṣṭrā madhuyaṣṭikā ||
śṛṅgāṭakamvisaṃ drākṣā kaseru madhukaṃ sitā |
vatsaite saptayogāḥ syucr arddhaślokasamāpanāḥ ||
yathākramaṃ prayoktavyā garvbhasrāve payoyutāḥ |
kapitthavilvavṛhatīpaṭolekṣunidigdhikā ||
mūlāni kṣīrasicddhāni pāyayed bhiṣag aṣṭame |
navame madhukānantā payasyāśārivām pivet ||
payas tu śritaśītam praśasyate ||
sakṣīrā vā hitā śuṇṭhī madhukaṃ devadāru ca |
evam apyāyyate garvbhas tīvrā ruk copaśāmyati ||
atha garvbhiṇī vyādhyutpannāvātyayec charddayen madhurāmlenānnopahitena | anulomayec ca saṃśamanīyam mṛdu vidadhyāt | annapānayor iti | aśnīyāc ca mṛduvīryaṅ garvbhāvicruddhām̐ś ca kriyāyogān vidadhīta iti ||
suvarṇṇaṃ rṇṇacūsukṛdaṃ kuṣṭham madhuvacā ghṛtaṃ |
matsyākṣakaḥśaṃkhapuṣpī sarppiḥ kāñcanam eva ca ||
arkkapuṣpī madhughṛctaṃ cūrṇṇitaṃ kanakan tathā |
suvarṇṇacūrṇṇavaiḍūryaṃ svetā dūrvvā ghṛtam madhuḥ ||
catvāro 'bhihitāḥ prāsyā arddhaślokasamāpanāḥ |
kumārāṇām vapur mmedhāc valārogyakarāḥ śubhā iti ||

iti garvbhiṇīvyākaraṇaṃ śārīre daśamo 'dhyāyaḥ || o ||

bhūtacintā śukraśuddhiṃ garvbhasaṅkramaṇan tathā |
garvbhavyākaraṇañ caiva kāyavyākaraṇañ ca yat ||
marmmasirāvibhaktiś ca sirātāḍanam evaL ca |
dhamanīvyākaraṇa caiva garvbhiṇyāpūryate daśa ||
