garbhāvakrāṃtiśārīrānaṃtaraṃ garbhavyākaraṇasyovitatvāt | vyākaraṇaṃ vikavaraṇaṃ | tat śukraśoṇitaṃ garbhāśayagataṃ prāṇināṃ garbhaḥ||tacca prāṇāna yeṣām eva bhāvānām anvayavyatirekābhyāṃ anvayavyatireki ca tatheva prīṇābhyāṃ paribhāṣayannāha ||[agniroma ity ādi] agnīṣoma ity ādi ||2 kutaḥ punarādāvevāgniḥ somādi prāṇavyākaraṇam ucyate | anaṃtaroktād garbhapratyaṃgaguṇāgaṇa vat teṣāṃm apy agnīṣomādīnāṃ gharmmāgharmmābhyām eva saṃyogayoḥ kṛtatvāt | tad evaṃ pāribhāṣikāmaś ca teṣu darśayituṃ śabdapu|narāvarttinām iva eteṣāṃ prāṇa śabdo prayogavarttayati | manasiś ceti cakāra eṣām api śarīraguṇadoṣāṇām iva gharmmāgharmma nimittatvaṃ samuccayāya | tatrānilajalānilabhūtānāṃ agnisomamarutāṃ devatārūpeṇādhiṣṭhitā doṣāḥ | yad āha || svayaṃbhūr eṣa bhavān vāyur ity abhiśabditaḥ | tathā sthity utpattivināśeṣu bhūtānām eṣa kāraṇam iti || tathāhyudāryo bhaṃgavān agniḥ pācako 'nnasyahīśvaraḥ | tathā soma eva bhagavān śarīrāṃtargata āpyāyam iti iti | ta etesvabhāvena praṇayaṃtīti prāṇaḥ | śārīrā doṣā vātādayaḥ | tadaiveteṣāṃ dhātutvam api dadhatīti kṛtvā tathā mano doṣāḥ satvād īni triṇi parasparopastaṃbhād ekībhūya prakṛti bhūtāni | praṇayaṃtīti prāṇāḥ | paṃceṃdriyāṇi karmmajānicakṣurādīni rūpādigrahaṇakarmmaṇā prāṇayaṃti | evaṃbhūtātmā kmmapuruṣo 'pi || aśeṣasya eva karmmarāśe caitanya heturiti | prāṇayaṃti na tu ca cetanādhātureva prāṇanaṃ bhūtānāṃ vakṣyati hi | tad eva cetanāvasthitam iti | atra hi ṣaḍ hetuka eva puruṣo 'dhikṛta iti satvād īnāṃ pṛthak nirdeśo nāsti | agniṣomānilāś ca tatra bhūtagrahaṇenaiva gṛhyaṃte | cetanāgrahaṇeṃdriyāṇi sāmarthyād āpannasamanaso 'vyatirekeṇa satvād īṃni ucyaṃte | tatra punareṣāṃcaitanye pṛthakgrahaṇena cetanādhātutvaṃ bādhitaṃ | yathā taiṣāṃ cetutinādhātusamatvaṃ yathā pratyekakarmmanirdeśosvayam eva ācāryo vakṣyati | evaṃ mānā'pi bhūtātmanaḥ śarīrāṃtagrahaṇamokṣaṇaheturiti tadapi prāṇayati || tad eva sarva eva pratyekaṃ prāṇayaṃtīti | samudāyopy eṣāṃ vyavahāro lāghavārthaḥ paribhāṣitaḥ | jaḍas tu bhūtātmaśabdena na mano abhidhatte | mānāgrahaṇaṃ nādhīyate | tanna bhūtātmamanasorvyaktabhedāt | eṣāṃ ca prāṇatvaṃ pratyekaṃmarmmanirddeśa eva pratipādatiṃ bhavam iti | bhavati cātra | cittavātādi satvād i bhūtātmeṃdriyapaṃcake | prāṇākhyaṃparyabhāṣīsma puraskṛtadvācatinā garbhasā kevalaṃ vāṃgapratyaṃgeṣu guṇāḥ | dharmmadharmmātmakāṃ prāṇeṣv api cetat samucitaṃ | prāṇeṣv api | agnīṣomīyatvāt garbhasya prathamam agnīṣomo nirddiṣṭo | tatrāṣṭādhārādheyayor ādhādhārasya prābhāvā tu ārttavaprāgbhāvenāgneḥ pūrvanirddeśo 'lpā catvāra pūrvanipātena anaṃtaram agnīṣomādi | trayodaśamāvidhaḥ | prāṇasadbhāva eva śukraśoṇitasya prāṇataḥ pariṇāmena tvagādi saṃbhava iti | anaṃtaraṃ tvagādi vyākaraṇaṃ kurvvan āha | tasyā khalu śukraśoṇitasyetyādi | kṣīrasaṃtāni kāṣṭaṃ dṛṣṭāṃtena bahirvṛtti śukraśoṇitasārārabdhatvaṃ tvacāṃ bodhayaṃti | teṣāṃ bahiḥsthitatvena pratyakṣatvāt prathamarasadhātū'dhiṣṭhānatvāc ca prathamaṃ vyākaraṇaṃ | asāravyākaraṇaṃ vivṛṇvan āha || tāsām ity ādi | tāsām iti nirdhāraṇe ṣaṣṭhī sarvavarṇān rogādikānchāyāmahābhūtapaṃcakena kṛtā paṃcavidhā || tad uktaṃ carake || evāmādīnāṃ paṃcapaṃcānāṃ chāyāvidhilakṣaṇā avabhāsinī ca mapāsyābhrājakānāgnikṛtaṃ paṃcavidhāṃ ca chāyām iti || carakāt prabhāpy avabhāsate | tatra chāyā prabhavayor viśeṣaḥ | prabhāvartmam ākramayati | cāyā tu vartmaprakāśinī | āsannālakṣate chāyābhāvikaṣṭāvalakṣyate tasyāḥ pramāṇaṃ nirddiśan āha || sā vravīhir ity ādi || vrīhiratra yavaḥ | tānādhikārāt | yaduktaṃ yavāhyardvogradoṣṭa iti || pradhānakalpanayā gṛhītatvāt śūkadhānyānāṃ nānābhedena pramāṇāniyamāc ca || evaṃ dvitīyādiṣv api tāsāṃ saptānām api abhipretaṃ | mānaṃ pradeśāṃtaroditena saṃbaṃdhaṃ kurvvan āha || aṃguṣṭhodara mātra sārddhaṃ caturtha ca | carake tu kāyacikitsā siddhāṃtenaiva ṣāḍava tvacaḥ || atra śalyataṃtrasiddhāṃtena saptaivatvacāṃ ca yathoditaṃ mānaṃ māṃsaleṣu avakāśeṣu na punarasthipradhāneṣu lalāṭādiṣu | tad uktaṃ bhoje | māṃsaleṣv avakāśeṣu yathāmānaṃ tvacāṃ mataṃ | lalāṭāṃguṣṭhagaṃḍeṣu kapāleṣu tathālpikāḥ | tvacapratyāsannatvekaḥ lābhāgaṃ nirddiśan āha || kalāḥ khalvapītyādi || kalāpi saptetyarthaḥ | tāsāṃ sāmānyena lakṣaṇaṃ | saṃkṣepeṇa darśayan āha || dhātvāśayāṃtaramaryādāḥ dadhatīti dhātavaḥ rasaraktamāṃsādayaḥ | kaphapittapurīṣāny api svasthaṃ svakarmmaṇā dadhatīti kṛtvā | tāsāṃm antasthitatvenāpratyakṣāṇām asti pratyupamānaṃ pramāṇaṃ nirddiśan āha | yathāhītyādi | etena kalāsādhita pṛtha - - nādyupalaṃbhakāryeṇa viviktām avakalānām astitvaṃ sādhitaṃ bhavet | tāsām upaṣṭaṃbhakaṃnirddiśan āha || snāyubhiś ceti | ādikalābhāgāḥ kalāviśeṣāḥ bhūmibhāgavat | jarāyu ārttava syodaryānalapariṇāmena kṣīrasaṃtānivat avayavastenātatān śleṣmaṇāveṣṭitān dhātusaṃdhitvāt ||kalābhāgasya saṃdhiṣu śleṣmā atas tenāveṣṭitān | āsāṃ prathamā māṃsadharā | yayāghriyate māṃsaśirādayā | dvitīyā raktadharā | māṃsābhyaṃtaragatā | asyāṃ śoṇitaṃ māsābhyaṃtara sāmānyena tiṣṭhati viśeṣataḥ | punaḥ śirāsu |yakṛtplīho ceti | tṛtīyā medodharā nāma | athetareṣu sarvveṣu saraktaṃ meda ucyate | iti | māṃsān niḥsṛtatvān medasaḥ raktatā | anye tu sneho medaścitāścita evaṃti | etena tṛtīyakalāyāṃ medomajjānoghriyata | iti prati pāditaṃ | etena sthānaikatvena majñaḥ pṛthak kalā nāsti | na cāpi medasaḥ pṛthak snehatā | paṃcasnehatvaprasaṃgāt |vasānupṛthag eva majñaḥ | tābhyāṃ tasyāḥ pṛthak avasthānāt | vasāyās tu asthnibhyo baṃdir eva sthānaṃ saivocyate | vaāsati medomajñoḥ punarasthivivarāvasthānena sthānaikyād ekasnehakalpanaṃ | yehi snehaṃ majñatrayā dadato tehyasthāny eva pūrṇṇāni tiktāthya snehaṃ gṛhnaṃti | na ca tatrāśakyatvāt trayor bhedaṃ kalpayaṃti || vasāsaṃgrāhiṇas tu vasāyābahiḥ sthita medaso durvijayabhajatvā tathā māṃsād eva ubhayor api saṃbhavatven ekaguṇatvāt || sāmānyena udarādisthita māsamedasor ubhayor api kvāthasnehaṃ vasām āhuḥ | ata eva atra kecid evaṃ paṭhaṃti || śuddhamāṃsasya yaḥ snehaḥsā vasā parikīrttitā || tathetareṣu sarveṣu sneho medo vibhāvita iti || itareṣv iti | aśuddheṣu māṃseṣu dhātvaṃtaropadhātumiśreṣṭity arthaḥ | bhavati cātra | asthimadhyasthito majjā medopyatr eva saṃsthitaṃ | tanmajjagrahaṇenaiva medasnehe pragṛhyate || caturthī śleṣmadharā nāma aṃtaḥkoṣṭhe ity ādi | tatrāpy asyāḥ purīṣavadhāpyasti | tatraiva hi ravirbhāgaiḥ puṃktidṛśya purīṣatvāt sopy atra purīṣavibhāgo agnimārutakṛtaḥ | tatrāgnikṛto vivecayati | ca rasadoṣamūtrapurīṣāṇīti vacanāt | koṣṭho vibhajati | tat koṣṭhāt pṛthak karoti | etāvān eva hi |koṣṭhāt yāvad avadharavasyor dhvaṃ yāvad yakṛtplīhavyavachinna āmapakvādhāra ākrāṃto deśa iti pakvāśayastho bhavati || api prāyeṇa purīṣasya pakvāśayasthitatvāt tam eva arthaṃ ślokato darśayan āha || yakṛtaḥ samatādi yakṛdgrahaṇaṃ raktādhārasāmyena plīhopy upalakṣaṇaṃ | yakṛt samīpānāṃ ca yadāha | sthānāny āmāgnipakvānāṃ mūtrasya rudhirasya ca | hadaṃdukaḥ phuphusaś ca koṣṭhetyādi vidhīyate || atrāpy uṃdukagrahaṇena tat saṃbaṃdhātgudayor api grahaṇaṃ | carako koṣṭhāṃgeṣvevakṣudrāṃtrasthūlāṃtraüttaragudādharagudānāṃ pāṭhāt | tenoktaṃ yakṛdādi vyavachinnaṃ | aṃtrovāpyadharagudaparyaṃtaṃ | koṣṭha tatsamāsṛtāṇyaṃtrāṇi sārddhaṃ trivyāmāni || udakasthaṃ vibhajate nirasyati vibhaktaṃ karoti śarīrāt | udakasya purīṣādhāreṣu aṃtreṣu prādhānyāt | ata eva carake |uṃdukaḥ purīṣāṃtraśabdenoditaḥ | malaṃ purīṣaṃ | ata eva purīṣadhareti | viśeṣaṇam asyāḥ | ṣaṣṭhī pittadharā nāma | yā caturvidhaṃ catuḥprakāraṃ aśitādi bhedena āśayāt kaphāśayāt pracyutaṃ bhraṣṭaṃ pakvāśayopasthitaṃ pacyamā nāśayagataṃ || āmapakvāśayayor api sthānasyānyataravyapadeśaḥ | tathā hi carakaḥ || atrāmāśayo viśeṣeṇapittasthānaṃ tasyaiva pakvāśayaṃ vyapadeśo pi pakvāśayagate doṣe virekārthaṃ prayojayet || tatropasthitaṃprāptam āgatam annaṃ dhārayatīti | abhitaḥ sāmarthyataḥ ūrdhvam āmāśayepy adhaś ca pakvāśayepi pacati | param ayaṃ viśeṣaḥ | agner ūrdhvagatitvāt jvālāsadṛśair ūṣmabhiḥ kaphāśayekramrsamadhyam avapākaṃ karoti | pittāśaye tu pittoṣmalakṣyāṇā vahniḥ atyusannam annaṃ vidhūmāṃgārajātam ivāṃśaśaktaṃ pacanīyaṃ || bhṛśaṃ pacati || pakvāśayo punar adhobhāgagataṃ kidṛm ūrdhvastho vahniḥ vaharagnir ivādhaḥ samīpasthaṃ pācyaṃ kiṃcid eva pacatiḥ | tam eva tāpaśoṣalakṣaṇaṃ pākam anilopy upavṛṃhayati | tasyāpi śoṣakaratvāt | ata eva carakepy uktaṃ || śoṣyamāṇasya vahnineti || ata eva hetor atrāpi śloke anilānilāśayaprāpakaṃ koṣṭhagrahaṇaṃ || śoṣitam iti viśeṣaṇaṃ prāye ṇa vātāśaye vātenaiva | āmapakvāśayayor hi viklitilakṣaṇasyaiva pākasya vidyamānatvāt || tad uktaṃ || samupaklinnadhātvannam iti || āmāśayapākaprapāka iti | praśabdaḥ ādikarmmadyotanārtha kṛto pittāśaye tu || pacyamānasyeti | pakvāśaye śoṣyamāṇasyetyarthaḥ || bhoje 'pi | āmāśayacyutaṃ hy annaṃ pakvāśayam upasthitāṃ tatrāpi pākaṃ prāpnoti mārutoṣmopa pāditaṃ || etam evārthaṃ ślokena darśayannāha || aśitaṃ | khāditam ity ādi || yathākālaṃ kālān atikrameṇa tīkṣṇamadhya maṃdāgniṣu māśadravyagurulaghuṣūcitakālānukrameṇa kālas tu varṣādikam abhinirvvarttayatīti carakavacanāt || saptamī śukradharānāma śukrasya sarvāṃgavyāpitve upamānaṃ pramāṇaṃ darśayan āha || yathā payasītyādi || dṛṣṭāṃtadvayam atrṛcaṃ mṛduvegapuruṣagatavyāpārasya alpabāhulyasyasūcanaparaṃ || tasyaidānīṃ sarvāṃgavyāpinā'pi harṣādibhiḥ viśiṣṭadehasamutthitasthāpita prakarṣavarttanaṃ darśayan āha || dvyaṃgula ity ādi | vāme tārapārśvadeśe mūtraśrotraṃ smṛtaṃ gataṃ | prakarṣeṇa pravarttate | sarvāṃgeṣu punar apakarṣaṃ ca | vadaṃti | mūtraśrotrasyeva śukrapravṛttadvāreṇa ārttavam api strīṇāṃpravarttate | tasya ca sarvadaiva vidyamānatvepi yena hetunā garbhiṇyā ārttavaṃ na dṛśyate | taṃ darśayan āha || gṛhītagarbhāṇām ity ādi || adhaḥ pratihatam ity ādi || pravahacchalilam iva nāḍīnirodhenupacīyate copari | uparyupacayenā'paceti nirucyate | yoṣitaś ca enām amalām ity āhuḥ | śāstrarājarāyasaṃjñaṃ mūḍhagarbhakarmmaṇi | yadāha |carakaḥ | jarāyu ca dehoparigataṃ garbhaśarīrāvaguṃṭhakaṃ kṣīrasaṃtānikā sadṛśaṃ | tathāmālākhyaṃ cobhayam evaitat | ārttavajaṃ rasavahanāḍī ca garbhānābhināḍīsaṃbaddhā || tad uktaṃ bhoje || raktā jarāyur bhavati nāḍī caiva rasātmikā | sā nāḍī garbham āpnoti tayā garbhasya varttanaṃ || śeṣam aṃkasthānāpacitād anyāt nāḍīmukhaiḥ prattyāvṛtyāāvṛttaṃ cordhvatam aāgataṃ payodharau ષ abhipratidahyate | payodharāyoṛ śukravahaśrotomūlatvāt śukravahārttavavahayoś ca śrotasor abhedāt | ārttavasya raktatvāt | garbhasya raktajāni koṣṭhāṃgāni kānicad iti nirddiśan āha || garbhasya khalvity ādi || śoṇitasya ca yatphenabhūtau avayavasṛjñā -hṛdayasya vāmapārśvavarttī phupphusaḥ phupphuṃḍaiti prasiddhā | śoṇita malaja ity ādi || ikṣurasapākamalavat yaḥ śoṇitamalas tajjā uṃdukaḥ | pradoṣṭo'nnupradeśaḥ | purīṣādhānaṃ uṃṇḍakaḥ | kṣudrāṃtragudavastisaṃbhavaṃ darśayan āha || asṛjaśleṣmaś cāpītyādi | kṣudrāṃtragudavastiślokābhone 'pi | bhṛśā eva jihvāsaṃbhavaṃ darśayan āha || atrāsyetyādi || garbhasya sarvapacyamānasya vāyunā tatreti tatreti hṛdaye prāṇāpānābhyāṃ muhurmuhur eva praśauttiṣṭhadbhyāṃ hṛdayasyeva ādhmānāt | parataṃtra pratyayācca tad uktaṃ hiraṇyākhyor ukmabaddhasya mānasya garbhasya hṛdi vāyunā | kapharaktaprasādena syāj jihvākapharaktajeti || pūrvoktadehadūṣyānuvṛtter anyānukteś ca | pūrvoktaparataṃtrobhayor eva uktatvāt | anye tu pa|ṭhaṃti | hṛdaye pacyamānānāṃ mādhmāpadrukmasākhāt | kaphaśoṇitamāsānāṃ sārājihvā prajāyate || atrāpi hṛdyādhmānāt pacyamānānāṃ kaphādīnām iti saṃbaṃdhaḥ | kecid atra koṣṭhāṃgajihvāprasaṃgena nāśāśrota|peśīśarādyāśaya vṛkkavṛṣaṇānāṃ hetum utpattiṃ ca paṭhaṃti || tannātiprasiddhaṃ || śoṇitakaphaprasādajaṃ hṛdayaṃ || tasya hṛdayasyā'dho vā majjātaḥ plīhā pupphu saś ca dakṣiṇato yakṛtkloma ca || klomaḥ varṣabhūmiḥ | tadviśeṣeṇa cetanāsthānaṃ | caitanyāspadaṃ || sāmānyena sakalam eva śarīraṃ cetanāsthānaṃ || tad uktaṃ carake || vedanānām adhiṣṭhānaṃ manodehaś ca seṃdriyaḥ | keśalomanakhāgrāṃtaṃ maladravaguṇair vinā iti || cetanādhātu sahacaritaṃ mānā'pi rajastamo doṣaṃ hṛdi viśeṣeṇa tat punaruṇatvāt | āśugamity anenaiva saphalaśarīragatam api mano viśeṣeṇa hṛdayagataṃ | uktaṃ hi prāk || tadāśrayāśrayā hi dhamanyaḥ prāṇavahāḥ prāṇeṣv iṃdrayamanorajastamasāṃ pāṭhāt || tamasā hṛdayāvaraṇe citteṃdriyavaha dhamanīti rodhāt || tamo mohena cakṣurādi grāhyarūpādīnāṃ pratijñābhāvaḥ | tathaivāṃtarmmano vahaśrotasāṃ ca tamovaraṇāt manasaḥsukhaduḥkhādi jñānābhāvaś ca | yathātra suptasya svapnajñānaṃ tathottaratra vakṣyatīti || tad uktaṃ carake || yadā tu manasaḥklāṃte karmmātmanaḥ klamānvitāḥ | viṣayebhyo nivarttaṃte tadā svapiti mānavaḥ | cittādikaraṇānāṃ viśeṣamayogaṃ ca karmmapuruṣacaitanyaṃ anuvarttate iti || anekaśo vyākhyātaṃ tad uktaṃ carake | ātmanaḥ karaṇair yāgāt ||jñānaṃ tasya pravarttate | karaṇānāṃ ca vaimalyād ayogād vā na varttate || iti || idānīṃ niśānidrāyāḥ bhāvahetuṃdarśayan āha || asmiṃs tu tamasāvṛte ity ādi || anāvṛte punaḥ pravarttaṃte tasyaiva hṛdayasyākāraṃ da'' rśayan āha ||puṃḍarīkasamam ity ādi || jāgrato vikaśaty ahni svapne naktaṃ ca mīlati | svabhāvakṛtamasya naktaṃ svapne mīlanaṃ | viparyaye prabodha iti | prākṛtā me nidrāṃ darśayan āha || nidrāṃ tu vaiṣṇavīm ity ādi | viṣṇor iyaṃ vaiṣṇavī yā sā loke nāmaviśeṣeṇās te pāpmeti | sā hi cetaso vivekaṃ prabodhaṃ nirasya svāpakṛtam iva prabodhaṃ dadhātīti | sā iyaṃ janmaprabhṛti spṛśaṃtī janmabhūtāpi yāvajjīvam evās te | tenaivam aviṣayacikitsitasya prakṛtibhūtatvāt janmakālajā nidrām abhidhāya maraṇakālajāṃ nidrāṃ prākṛtām eva nirddiśan āha || tatra yadetyādi || anabodhinītijajaḍaḥ | avabodho 'navabodhaḥ | sa yasyāstīti nity ayoge matvarthīyaḥ | saṃjñāvahāni cetanādhātukṛt samyak jātavahāni badhnāni prāṇādi vahāni sakalāni śrotāṃsi | kaphaḥ prabalatamaś ca tatas tena prabalatamaskṛtecetanā śrotāni vahanirodhāt | punaraprabodhinī sānijā etās tisraḥ | tatrāsāṃ sāmānya saṃprāpti vātha manasaḥ śarīradoṣasya hīti prācīna ekā niśā nidrā | tathāpare maraṇajanmakālabhaved veprakṛtyau svabhāvabhūtatvā| d āsām iti | niśā janmamaraṇakālabhāvena tisro nirddiśya manasoha rūpatvāt nidrāyāḥ pratyāsatyāsanneḥ pūrvaṃmanodoṣaprakṛtividroṣaṃ nirddiśan āha || tatra tamoyaṣṭīnām ity ādi..nā manasā mano doṣeṇa hi hṛdayaśakalasyava klamevamālanaṃ || tataḥ svāpas tatraiva tamo bhūyiṣṭhānāṃ punaraha svapīti bhūyo nidrāvidhiḥ | rajobhūyiṣṭhānām animittaṃ | rajaś calatvena kadācid ahaḥsu niśāsu vā bhavati | na bhavati | ceti madhyanidrāvadhiḥ | satvabhūyiṣṭhānām a rddharātro pūrvasmin veti | kṣīṇatamasastvāddoṣālpatā ity arthaḥ | na punar arddharātra eva | tatra pittasyoktadadyena satve kadyena satvodrekena prabodhaḥ | tad evaṃ pūrvābhis tisṛbhiḥ saha ṣaḍapy ete prākṛtasvabhāvabhūtāt apratīkārā vā yogābhyāsena |satvāvayavena vā pratīkārāḥ | śarīradevaprakṛtau kaphād eva paraṃ nidrā śleṣmatamobhava iti | vacanāt | tatra vṛddhāt kaphā t nidrātiyogaḥ | tatraiva nidrātiyoge vamanā ca pīḍā kṣetānīti || vātaprakṛtau bhujagarūkṣa iti | evaṃ pittakṛtā capittai | tad uktaṃ nidrānāśā'nilātpittādibhiḥ prakṛtibhūtāpīyaṃ yāpyā || yad āha carakaḥ | samapittānilakaphā | kecid garbhādimānavāḥ | dṛśyaṃte vātalāḥ kecit pittalā śleṣmalās tathā || teṣām anāturāḥ sarve vātalādyāḥ sadāturāḥ | doṣā tu śayitā hyeṣāṃ doṣaprakṛtir ucyate | viparītaguṇas teṣāṃ svasvavṛtter vidhirhitaḥ | iti prakṛter anyatra vikṛti vātādidoṣakṛtā vaikārikīnāṃ nirddiśan āha || kṣīṇāśleṣmaṇām ity ādi | sāmarthyād adhikapittānāṃ matigamyate | yadāha carakaḥ | vātapitte kaphe caiva kṣīṇalakṣaṇam ucyate | karmmaṇaḥ prākṛtādvātivṛddhiś cāpi virodhinām iti | yadi etena nidrānāśo 'nilātpittādity apyanulomino bhavati | mānā'bhighātāt ceti cakāreṇābhighātajo 'pi nidrānāśaḥ samuccinoti | ete eva paṃcavikṛtibhāvāḥ | etāsām evopariṣṭāccikitsitaṃ || evam evārthe ślokena dṛḍhayannāha || hṛdayaṃ cetanāsthānam ity ādi | dihenaṃ karmmapuruṣaṃ śrameṇa tamaḥ saṃbhavādatri vathamajāthavarudhyate | tatra bhāvahetuṃ darśayannāha || nidrāhetur ity ādi | nidrāmanodoṣalakṣaṇāyās tamohetuḥ tasyācarakatvāt | prabodhanasya punariṃdriyāṇāṃ rūpādi prakāśalakṣaṇasya hetuḥ satvaṃ tasya prakāśakatvāt | svabhāvo hetu nidrā prabodhayor iti | -yaḥ | tasya svabhāvasyāhetutvāt | tamaḥ satvayor anidrāprabodhayoḥ sva bhāvenaiva hetutvaṃ | yataḥ na tu nidrātamo bhāvaivoktā tat kiṃ punaruktenā ucyate | bodhahetusatvaprasaṃgena athavā nidrāyāḥ svabhāvena tama evopavādakam ity etad artham anubodhyabhāvaḥ | svāpasvāpābhāvo bodhaḥ | tatkathaṃ svapnasya svapnāvabodho bhavatītyāha | pūrvadehānubhūtāṃ stvity ādi || gātmā bhūtair upalakṣitaḥ | karmmapuruṣaḥ svapataḥ svapnagato yadā viṣayān sukhaduḥkheti cittena śoṣyataḥ smṛtaḥ | kathaṃ punararthānidrayā grāhyāt gṛhṇātītyāha || manaseti manas tu sarvadevasaṃbhavāt | sadā svapnadarśanaprasaṃga ity āha || rajoyukteneti rajasā sahayogaṃ gatena rajasā pravarttate artheṣu manasaḥ pravarttitatvāt | tamasā rūpamohasya yoge 'pi ajñānāt | na tamoyuktena nāpi satvayuktena manasaḥ satvayoge prabodhāt | mano hi purovartti sadvas tu gṛhṇāti | svapne kimasadvas tu gṛhṇātītyāha || anubhūtānīti | dṛṣṭā śrutānubhūtānāṃ smaraṇena purovarttibhūtānāṃ mivagrahaṇam ity arthaḥ ||etā dehānubhūtagaganatalagamanādi rūpasya parigrahārthaṃ | pūrvadeheti viśeṣaṇaṃ | yaccapyanena bhūtātmanā ihadehe gaganatalagamanādijñānabhūtaṃ tathāpi niravadhisaṃsaraṇe aparamitayāramaradaity ādiṣu tadarpyanenānubhūtam ity arthaḥ | nirvikāraḥ ka katham ātmāsvapatītyāha | karaṇānāṃ tu vaikalyādity ādi. kenākaraṇānāṃ vaikalyādity ādi | tamaseti atisarvato bahiraṃtaś ca | tadvad iṃdriyāṇāṃ viṣayaṃ bhūterthe aṃtarmmanorthe 'pi sukhaduḥkhādauasvapne ity upacāraḥ | karaṇadharmmānuvṛtte caitanyamātmanaḥ | tad uktaṃ carake | ātmājñeḥ karaṇaiḥ yogāt jñānaṃ tasya pravarttate || iṃdriyāṇāṃ ca vaikalyāt ayogādvā na varttate | tatra sthāpasthadivādi prāptasya niṣedhaṃ darśayannāha || sarvarttuṣu ity ādi | niṣiddhastuti | smṛtiṣu | tasya niṣiddhācaraṇe dṛṣṭāṃta dṛṣṭadoṣaṃ punaḥ paścād vakṣyati | tatra niṣiddhasyāpyamrasya kāle pātre ca prāyaścittādiṣv anapratiṣedho bālādiṣu tatra bālasya sātmyatvāt | dṛṣṭena doṣaḥ | tatra adṛṣṭeḥ smṛtidṛṣṭe vā niṣedhāt | evaṃvidhādiṣv api dhātupṛṣṭibalakāraṇatvāt | dṛṣṭedṛṣṭepi vyādhitasya nity ākaraṇavadadoṣaḥ | tatra nity age kāle grīṣme niṣedha | bālādiṣu punarāvasthikakāla iti yānādibhiḥ | sahasrāṃtaśabdaḥ pratyekam abhisaṃbadhyate | eṣā matha bhuktavatāṃ tathā medaprabhṛtibhiḥ kṣīṇānāṃ tatra mārutena kṣīṇo mārutavṛddhikarśitaḥ | ajīrṇṇito divāsvāpat | agnivṛddher avidāhor apānasya tataḥ pittakaphayor akopaḥ | muhṛtaṃ nālikādvayaṃ | jāgaraṇakālād arddham arddhāgavāpratiṣedho 'dhikasu niṣiddha eva | dṛṣṭādṛṣṭadoṣakaratvāt | tatra kālenāpi svabhāvaḥ kiṃ syāktasyopāditatvāt | ardram eva kālasvāpaḥ | kutaḥ kāraṇaṃ divā na svapyād iti | divā hi svapnapradhāne prakāśakāle nidrāmohasvabhāvā vikārāc ceti dvā svapyāt | tatra svapatāṃ mānaśārīradoṣadvayaṃ nirddiśan āha || tatra svapatām ity ādi | adharmmo mānasastamohalakṣaṇakṛtaḥ śārīraś ca sarvadoṣaprakopaḥ | tatra kaphapittaprakopo 'navidāhāt | vātakopaś ca srato 'varodhena mārgrāvaraṇajaḥ | tathā rātrijāgaraṇam api doṣaṃ darśayan āha || rātrāvapītyādi || vātā |dinimittā ity anena manodoṣajo dharmmo nirastaḥ | na jāgṛyād rātrau iti nidrāvidhiḥ | divāsvapnaṃ ca varjjayet ||ditiniṣedham iti parimitaṃ nādhikaṃ na conam iti | anūnādhikaḥ svapnaphalaṃ darśayan āha | tathā hy arogaḥ sumanāity ādi | anūnādhikasvapnena avidyamānā vidyamānavātapittakapharogaḥ | sumanā iti || manovikārābhāvaḥ || nātisthūlakṛśa iti samadehaḥ samasvapnatvāt | śrīmān iti || varṇānvitatvāt || kāṃtimān balavaṃśaktivyāyā magamyād adhaḥ śuddhayo-tastvāt | tatra sthūlasyāvṛtvaṃ | medasā śukravahaśroto 'varodhāt || atikṛśasya kṣīṇa|sya śukratvād eva samāśanajīvanaṃ samadhātutvāt samāyurmānuṣapṛṣatyāḥ | tatra jāgaraṇasvāpayoḥ sātmībhūte|pi adoṣaṃ darśayan āha || divā cetyādi || etena dṛṣṭasyālābhe manastāpe iṣṭalābhavidhānaṃ | aniṣṭālābhajepunaraniṣṭāpanayaṃ | cikitsitam uktaṃ | evaṃ mahācārakramadoṣam api apekṣya yathā nidānaṃ pratyanīkam ācaraṇīyaṃ | drākṣārasādīnāṃ naktam upāyogena kaphakṣayādijātāṃ kaphābhivṛddhiḥ | vihitasyāpi rātrisvāpasya kvacinniṣedhaṃ ||tathā divāsvapnasyāpi niṣiddhasya kvacidvidhaṃ darśayan āha || mūrchāpittetyādi | bhramaścakragatasyeva | uktāpi nidrātamasā manodoṣeṇa mūrchādiprasaṃgena | śarīradoṣeṇāpi punarabhihiteti hetunā uktā yāstaṃdrāyāḥ staṃdrāyāsvalakṣaṇaṃ nirddiśan āha || iṃdriyārtheṣv asaṃprāptir ity ādi | taṃdrālakṣaṇaprasaṃgena kecit klamālasyādīnām api lakṣaṇaṃ paṭhaṃti | tanna teṣāṃ asūtritvāt | garbhasya vṛddho dvitīyam api hetuṃ nirddiśan āha | rasanimittā māturiti | viśeṣa|garbhasyāśayādhmānanimittāt kathaṃ vakṣyamāṇenānilānalakṛtena garbhaśrotasāṃdhmānenābhino viśālabhūrtvata tvāt | mātrārasaparivarddhitamāsādyuchvāsaḥ | tad uktaṃ || ākāśaṃ vivarddhayati | atra śrotasā nevādhmānasaṃprāptiṃ darśayan āha || tasyāṃtareṇetyādi | tasya garbhasyanābher mmadhye agnisthānaṃ niścitaṃ | na trayotistho vāyurādhmāpayati | tena dyotiḥ sthānādhmānena madhyaśroto vṛddho kathaṃ sarvato vṛddhir ity āha || kraṣmaṇo sahitaścetyādi | yathā yathā |dārayati | arddham adhas tiryak tathā tathā varddhayati | yathā krameṇa dāraṇāt yathā krameṇa varddhanam ity arthaḥ || tad evam adhorddhvatiryag varddhanam ity arthaḥ | yadi sarvato varddhate | tatra kimastarada mātrādṛṣṭa na varddhana ity āha | dṛṣṭiś cetyādi dhruvāṇi nityaṃ niyatamānāni | śarīravṛddhyā cāpi kasyacid avayavasya vṛddhiṃ pratipādya śarīrakṣayepi kasya cid evābhivṛddhiṃ kṛtā iti | pṛṣṭa āha || svabhāvam iti svabhāvaṃ | prakṛtihetuṃ kṛtvā svabhāvahetutetyarthaḥ | prakriyate janyate aānayeti prakṛtiḥ | hetusvabhāvānayor yadehakṣaye 'nayor abhivṛddhiriti prakṛtisaṃyogena anyad api prākṛtaṃ darśayan āha || tisraḥ prakṛtaya ity ādi || pratyekadoṣanimittāś catasro vakṣyaṃte | prakṛtisamasamavāyanyāyena | samudāyibhyo 'nanyasamudāya iti avirodhāt || tāsāṃ vātādibhedena lakṣaṇaṃ darśayan āha || śukra śoṇitasaṃyoga ity ādi || tatra svabhāvataḥ śuddhaṃ bījaṃ karmmaṇā vāsamudānugarbhaṃ niṣpādayati | anilādidoṣaduṣṭaṃ garbhajananāya nālam iti || śukraśoṇitaśuddhāvuktaṃ || tat katham utkaṭena doṣeṇa prakṛtir ity ucyate | na hi sa rvam eva bījadūṣaṇaṃ | sadṛśaśaktikaṃ sakalam avayavagataṃ vā kiṃ tarhi kāraṇānāṃ saṃkhyāmanānurūpacayena nānāvidha balaṃ ca prasavāveṣayāṃcāvayavasakalaśarīragataṃ tatrālpaṃ sakalāṃ gamanavayavagataṃ bahu vā garbhapratibaddhā karaṇāyanālaṃ jātyaṃdhamūkāde garbhasya darśanāt | nāvayavagatadoṣeṇa garbhapratibaṃdhaḥ | madhumehiṣu sarvāṃgagatadoṣadūṣitadhātuṣu garbhadarśanāt | na sakala śarīragatālpadoṣeṇāpi | tad uktaṃ carake | yasya yasya hy aṃgāvayavasya bījabhāgo duṣṭo bhavati | tasya tasyaivāṃgāvayavasyopataptiḥ | tatra sakalāṃgagatān mahato doṣadūṣaṇād bījasya garbhāsaṃbhava eva | sakalabījabhāgavātāt tu mahatodoṣāt ṣaṃḍhaṃ | śukraṃ svabhāvakarmmabhyāṃ vātādauduṣṭamānasaḥ dṛṣṭaṃ bījārthakṛd bījaṃ tatra prakṛtiruttaraṃ tatra śukraśoṇita iti vacanāt | kṛtādidoṣavacanāc ca | dehaprakṛtiriyaṃ | tatraiva pāṃcabhautikabījātmanāṃ paṃcānāṃ mahābhūtānāṃ saṃyogasatvād ibhiḥ utkaṭairmmanodoṣaiḥ mānasīprakṛtiḥ | sā ca brahmādi satvabhedena ṣoḍaśavidhā vakṣyate 'traiva | bhavati cātra | dvidhā kāyamanodoṣaiḥ prakṛtiḥ kāyamānasī | tatra vātādijā kāye citte satvād isaṃbhavā | tatra vātādiprakṛter vikārākārayor bhedena bhinnaṃ svalakṣaṇaṃ nirddiśan āha || tatra vātaprakṛtir ity ādi | durbhago 'manoramākāramākāra: jā garūkatvād i yo vihārāḥ sphuṭitakaracaraṇādayaḥ ākārāḥ krodhīhiṃsanaśīladaṃtanakhādīn krodhādaśana|daśaśīla ākṛtiriti ધૃતિર્યમાત્મિકાસાdhṛtiryamātmikā sā'vidyamānā yasya sa tathā dhamanīcitaḥ dhamanīśabdaḥ sādṛśyāt sthirādiṣu varttate ||tena śirāsnāyudhamanīcitaḥ aṭanogamanaśīlaḥ | tena kāyā navasthitiruktā || anavasthitātmeti caṃcalamana||anena māno 'navasthānaṃ | pralāpītyanena asaṃbaṃdhavākyaśīlatvena vacanānavasthānaṃ ca | vāyor viyadgāimatvalāghavaṃca latābhiḥ vātaprakṛteḥ | svapne viyadgāmitvaṃ saṃbhrameṇa || tāratamyeṇa avyavasthitam iti | asthitim iti | anavasthitabuddhiniyatasya caṃcalacittatvāt stokaratādisaṃcaya | kāyādyanavasthiteḥ | ajīna anavasthānāt pittaprakṛtiḥ || punaḥ svedaprakṣaraṇaśīlaḥ | durgraṃdhiḥ pittasya pūtitvāt || tāmraśabdena saha nakhādayaḥ pāṇitalāṃtāḥpratyekam abhisaṃbadhyaṃte | medhāvītyādinā cittaprakṛter dharmmaḥ | svapne vigṛhyāvaktāprāyeṇa paṭhanāt | prativacanaśīlaḥ || saṃbaṃdhārthakaṃ vādinānukūlaṃ vadatīti vāci prakṛtidharmaḥ || svapnepi pittadharmmabhāvitamanāḥ kaḥ kādīnyeva pittapītavarṇānyapi paśyati | pittasya satvabahulatvāt || bhayāsthānena praṇatiṃ gachati | apra geteṣu sāṃtvanādikādānaśīlaḥ|1 ma vyathitāsya gatiriti |vyathitasukhaṃ samukhaṃ pākatvāt | dhāvanakteśāsatvāt | pīḍāvahagamanaḥ | pittakṛta maṃgīkṛtaṃ prakṛtisvarūpaṃ yasya sa tathā || śleṣmaprakṛti dūrvvādīnāmanyatamavarṇaḥ || ārdramaśuṣkamariṣṭakaḥ kṛṣṇavarṇaphalaṃ | ādraśarakāṃḍamādraśarapapartha ||subhago manoramākāraḥ | ata eva priyadarśanaḥ | sumadhurapriyaḥ | amlādi paṃcarasapriyaḥ || śleṣmaṇo mādhuryāt | kaṭukādīni kāmayate | evaṃ vātaprakṛtiravdhaṃ | pittaprakṛtimadhuraṃ ||kṛtajñaḥ cetaso dhairyatvāt na smarati | dhṛtimān vidhṛtimanasā niyamātmikā nityaṃ laghuktāḥ | nity ayogenamatvarthīyaḥ | sahiṣṇuḥ sahanaśīlaḥ | alolupo alubdhaḥ | dhanavān dhanavānyuktaḥ balavānubhaya ca lakṣaṇa balayuktaḥ | ujaso yogāt śāraṇagrahaṇaśīlaḥ | ciragrāhī dṛḍhavairo.gṛhītaṃ na tyajati | kepi varṇādayaḥ kāyaguṇāḥ |amadhurapriyatvād ayaś cittaguṇāḥ | lakṣmīvān prasannakāṃtimān mṛdaṃgo maddalaḥ | ghoṣo bhāṣaṇaṃ | raktāṃte netre yasya | śobhanaṃ viviktaṃ gātraṃ yasya sa tathā | snigdhachāyaḥ | apāṃ snehaguṇatvāt | satvaguṇopapannaḥ | apāne satvabāhulyāt | ata eva kleśakṣamaḥ | gurūṇāṃ pūjayitā | dhārmmikasya satvaguṇatvāt | satvaguṇopapannaḥ | apāne satvabāhulyāt | ata eva kleśakṣamaḥ | gurūṇāṃ pūjayitā | dhārmmikasya satvaguṇatvāt || saṃsargasannipātaprakṛtiṃ darśayan āha || dṛśyate prakṛtau ity ādi || etac ca āraṃbhadoṣam adhikṛtya punarddoṣam iti | vistā reṇa prāgeva vyākhyātaṃ | tanmātradoṣāraṃbheṇa svabhāvabhūtena dehinaṃ bādhyate | sphuṭitakaracaraṇādikena doṣeṇa | tathā svedadaurgraṃdhyādi hetujaḥ vātādibhir ebhiḥ kiṃcid bādhyate | etena prakṛtiṣv api nityaṃ manāgāturyamastīti abhihitaṃ | tato jātastajjāta ity anena hetuvacanaḥ prakṛtiśabdo darśitaḥ | tad uktaṃ aśvavaidyake sarvaprāṇabhṛto haṃti nūnaṃ kāyagataṃ viṣaṃ | tasmiṃś ca saṃcayetāta dṛśyaṃte kṛmayo yathā | tathāviṣasamo doṣaprakṛtirnnātibādhate | kiṃcit tu bādhate eva | sā tu pratyanīkāhāreṇa nityaṃ pratikāryāt tad uktaṃ vṛddhakāśya pe || svadoṣa svamanācārā nṛṇāṃ prakṛtayo matāḥ || taṃ paṃcamahābhūtaprabhāvāṃ kecidāhuḥ || na sarve tatra vātapittakaphais tisraḥ | anilānilajalānāṃ trayāṇāṃ bhūtānāṃ tisro nirddeśyānukta śeṣabhūtadvayasya prakṛter lakṣaṇaṃnirddiśan āha || sthiravipulaśarīra ity ādi || pṛthivyāḥ sthairyād vaipulyāc ca | kṣamāvān iti | nity akṣamī nity āyā matvarthīyaḥ | etad api pṛthivyāḥ sarvaṃ sahatvāt | nāmabhaḥ 2nāsukhair mmahadbhir iti | ākāśasya vivekamahatve 'rthe guṇayogāt ||satvād i guṇatodena tu cittaprakṛtinirddiśan āha || śaucamāstikyam ity ādi | brahmakāyalakṣaṇaṃ | brahmasatvenotyā di tasya kāmayasya | etena satvakāyayor nnityam anyānyāvidhāyitvam uktaṃ | śauryam ity ādi | māheṃdrakāyalakṣaṇaṃ sahiṣṇutety ādi vāruṇakāyalakṣaṇaṃ | madhyastham ity ādi kauverakāyalakṣaṇaṃ | mahac ca prabhavaśaktiḥ prajo|tyānasāmarthyā || kuverasatvānaṃtaraṃ yāmyasatve vaktavye gaṃdharvasatvābhidhānaṃ | gaṃdharvasatvaṃ yakṣasadṛśaṃ yakṣasatvadyotanārthaṃ | prāptakārītyādinā yāmyaṃ satvaṃ brahmacaryam ity ādinā ṛṣisatvaṃ | evaṃ brāhmyamāheṃdravāruṇākauveragaṃdharvayāmyaṛṣisatvabhedena saptasātvikā bhedāḥ || śuddhasatvāḥ | teṣv api brāhmyaṃ śuddhatamaṃ | aiśvaryavaṃtam ity ādi || āsuraṃ satvaṃ raudraṃ tīkṣṇaṃ | astīyakaṃ guṇeṣu matsaraṃ | eṣadhikaṃṭhabharaṃ | ekāṃtagrāhitetyādi rākṣasaṃ satvalakṣaṇaṃ | ekāṃtagrāhitā niyamena gṛhītā yogaśīlatāḥ | utsṛṣṭā hāraśīlatetyādināpisatvaṃ | utsiṣṭāhāraśīlatā | utsiṣṭāhārācāriṇo bhāvaḥ ||હારાચારિણો āvokṣasāhasapriyatā || apacitaprītiḥભાવsāhasaprītiś cātīkṣṇam ity ādināpi sarpyasatvaṃ || krodhe sati satvena lakṣitaṃ | akrodhetīsaṃ | tad uktaṃ carake || akruddhaṃ śūraṃ akruddhaṃ bhīrum iti | asaṃvibhāgetyādinā pretatvaṃ | eteṣu ṣaṭsu sahaādayo rājasa|ષbhedāḥ | durmmedhastvaṃ ity ādinā paśusatvaṃ | anavasthitetyādinā matsyasatvaṃ | satvabudhyaṃgahī netyādinā vṛkṣasatvaṃ | satvabudhyaṃgahīnābhyāṃ hīnaṃ sthiraṃ ekasthānasthaṃ | ete trayas tamo bahulāḥ satvabhedāḥ | eṣāṃ sthāne cikitsopayogitvaṃ darśayan āha | vijñāyakāyavikṛtiriti | anurūpām ucitāṃ | tad uktaṃ bhūtavidyāyāṃ | na vā|caukṣyaṃ prayuṃjīta prayogaṃ devatāgṛhe | evamādy anyad api anuvarttavyāṃ dhātraparīkṣāyām api prayojanaṃ || tad uktaṃ kāśyapena | yo yathā satvaḥ kumāraḥ syasyāttathā satvām evāsya dhātrīm upasthāpayet | kiṃ kāraṇaṃ tad vipāyānirdhāraṇaṃ bhavati tad uktaṃ | tatraiva | piśācasatvānānāryo kumāraḥ samudīkṣitanirvāṇām eva cāpnoti | tathā rā kṣasasatvā ity ādi || iti śauśrute śārīre nyāyacaṃdrikāyāṃ paṃjikāyāṃ garbhavyākaraṇaṃ ||
