It is listed in the New Catalogus Catalogorum as Bhau Dāji 56 and BBRAS 53. The text is incomplete, breaking off after the 50th verse of the 7th samuddeśa. However, the text ends on the recto side of the last folio, with the verso side blank, so it might be surmised that the manuscript itself is complete. atrocyate | ihādhikyaṃ vākyārthatvenocyamānaṃ padārthapṛ¦ṣṭhapātitvenānusaraṇīyam | na tu padārthollaṃghanena tattadvākyopāttasya hi sādhyasya vā viśeṣyasya copāttair eva sādhanair viśeṣaiś ca saṃsargas tatrādhikyam_ tad yathā | gāṃ śuklām ānaya | nīlotpalam iti ca | ata evocyate | āśrayāśrayiṇor vākyān niyamas tv avatiṣṭhata iti | itthaṃ cānupāttasyaiva padārthasya vākyārthāt pratītir nāstīti na saṃbaṃdhāvachedo trāpadārtho vākyārthaḥ śakyate kalpayitum iti karmapravacanīyaviṣaya evāyam | yad vakṣyati | nimittaniyamaḥ śabdāt saṃbaṃdhasya na gṛhyate | karmapravacanīyais tu svaviśeṣe varudhyate iti | atra ca darśanadvayam | svarūpeṇaiva saṃbaṃdhāntaravilakṣaṇaḥ karmapravacanīyena saṃbaṃdho vachidyate | kriyāviśeṣajanitatvena veti | tatra svarūpeṇāvachede viśeṣakriyājanitatvapratītiḥ saṃbaṃdhiviśeṣatāparyālocanālabhyā | tathā hi | adhibrahmadatte paṃcālā ity atrati svasvāmibhāvo yaṃ saṃbaṃdha ity adhinā vedyate | brahmadattaś ca svāmīśvaraḥ paṃcālāś ca janapadaḥ svam iti | tayoḥ saṃbaṃdhinoḥ | paripālanakarādānādikriyāprabhāvita eva saṃbaṃdho nyāyya ity avagamyate | evam abhimanyur arjjunataḥ pratīti¦ pratinā sādṛśyalakṣaṇo yaṃ saṃbaṃdha iti dyotyate | sa punaḥ saṃbaṃdhisvarūpaparyālocanad atra saṃpraharaṇādikriyākṛta ity avagamyate | itthaṃ ca śākalyasya saṃhitām anu prāvarṣad ity atrāpi hetuphalabhāvo nāmāyaṃ saṃbaṃdha ity etāvaty evāyam anur viśrāmyati | pāṭhaviśeṣarūpatvāt saṃhitāyā niśamanakriyāvagatiḥ | śabdaśravaṇena hi devo varṣad iti saṃbaṃdhamahimno viśiṣṭakriyāprabhāvitvam avasīyate | kecid iyān anor eva vyāpāra ity āhuḥ |

svarūpāvachede pi ca kriyāyāḥ kāryabhūtasaṃbaṃdhāpekṣayātītakarmatvāt karma proktavaṃta ity arthaḥ | samaṃ nety eva vastunaḥ kriyāphalasyaiva saṃbaṃdhasya prakāśanāt | yathā tu tatrabhavat_bhartṛhares tatra tatrābhiprāyo lakṣyate | tathā nimittaviśeṣāvacheda eva karmapravacanīyakṛta iti rāddhāntaḥ | adhibrahmadatte paṃcālā iti paripālanakriyātirohitatvaṃ svasvāmibhāvasyādhinā vyajyate | abhimanyur arjjunataḥ pratīty atra parājayakṛto nukāryānukaraṇabhāvaḥ pratinā prakāśyata ityādi sarvatra yojyaṃ | sustutam atistutam ityādau tu suḥ pūjāyām atir atikramaṇe cetyādinā karmapravacanīyasaṃjñādhikārikī svārthanirapekṣaivopasargasaṃjñāpravarttate | bādhanāya pravarttate | yathoktam | karmapravacanīyatvaṃ kriyāyoge vidhīyate | ṣatvādivinivṛttyarthaṃ svatyādīnāṃ hi dharmmaṇām iti ārthena tu rūpeṇa vibhāge prastute kriyāviśeṣāvadyotakatvād upasargapade svatyādir aṃtarbhavatīti nāvyāptiḥ | tad evaṃ vākyād apoddhriyamāṇasya padasyā¦poddhārārthaviśeṣāśrayeṇa yathāsaṃbhavaṃ bhedo niraṃśakavākyavyutpattyupāyabhūtaḥ pradarśitaḥ | ata eva svādipadaṃ vākyavyutpatyanaṃgatvāchāstre saṃketitaṃ subaṃtaṃ padaṃ vyutpatyupāyabhūtaṃ neha gaṇanārhaṃ | prakṛtipratyayavad iti dṛṣṭāṃtapakṣanikṣiptam iti nāvyāptiḥ | padāt kilāsāv apoddhāro na vākyāt |

arthadvāreṇa padaṃ parīkṣyata iti darśanabhedena prathamam apoddhārapadārthavicāraḥ | tathā hi sarveṣām api śabdānāṃ padarūpāṇāṃ nāmākhyātādisvabhāvānāṃ jātivādimate jātir evārtho na dravyam | dravyavādimate tu dravyam eva na jātiḥ | dvitīyena vāśabdena padārthāntaraṃ sūcitaṃ jātiviśiṣṭadravyābhidhānam iti | ata eva tad eva saṃkalanārūpaṃ padārthav iti sphuṭīkṛtam | anyathā vārthe prakrānte cārthopasaṃhāro nopapadyate | tadvad abhidhāne tv anabhidhānaṃ tāvadvayor api samānam | viramya vyāpārābhāvāc chabdasya | ārthas tu jātidravyayor guṇabhāvaḥ | yad vā prādhānyenaiva bhinnaviṣayatayā pāṇinidarśane jātidravye śabdenābhidhīyete ity ayam atra pakṣaḥ padārthau ity uktaḥ | tatra nāmadasya gaur ity āder gotvādijātirniyatakriyāviṣayasādhanaikārthasamavetasaṃkhyājātiviśeṣabhāvam sāpannā abhidheyā, anāśrayāyāṃ anupapatteḥ | sāmarthyāt pratītaṃ dravyam

evam ākhyātapadasyāpi vibhinnakriyākṣaṇasamavetābhinnābhidhānapratyayahetukriyā jātiviṣayā sākṣād vācakaśaktiḥ | kārakādijātis tv atra guṇabhūtā | nāmapadagatayā ca kakārakajātyādi kriyājātir ākhyātapadagatā vyaktidvāreṇa samanvayam eti | dravyajātis tv ekārthasamavāyāt sādhanaśaktidvāreṇa kriyāyogam anubhavati | saṃkhyājātir apy ekārthasamavāyāt svavyaktyātmanā śaktidvareṇa kriyāmukhenaiva kriyānvayam etīti sarvapadārthasamanvayopapattau kalpane vākyārthaḥ | yathā cotkṣepaṇādikṣaṇair asamasamayabhāvibhir apy āvṛttyotkṣepaṇatvādijātir abhivyajyate| tathā 'dhiśrayaṇādibhiḥ kriyākṣaṇaiḥ pacatyādikriyājātir iti vicārayiṣyate | vyaktidvārakaṃ cāsyā nityāyā api sādhyatvam ucyate |

upasargādibhir apy atra darśane nāmākhyātasahabhāvī | tadarthasya viśeṣāvadyotakatvāj jātipadārtha eva | viśeṣasya viśiṣṭaviśrāntasyaivāvasāyāt karmapravacanīyo 'pi saṃbandho jātiniṣṭha eva | guṇaśabdānām api śuklādīnāṃ guṇajātir vācyā | saṃjñāśabdānām api ḍitthādiśabdānāṃ jātiśabdatvaṃ samarthayiṣyate |

tad itthaṃ vājapyāyanācāryamatena sārvatrikī jātipadārthavyavasthopapadyate | vyāḍimate tu sarvaśabdānāṃ dravyam arthas tasyaiva sākṣāt kriyāsamanvayopapatter vākyārthāntargatayā codanāviṣayatvāt | yathāhaco ‘codanāsu ca tasyārambhād’ iti(vā॰ 1|2|64) ekajātisamanvayavaśena cātra saṃketopapattiḥ | anabhidhīyamānāpi jātir upalakṣaṇīkriyate | śabdārthe yathā gṛhādau kākādiḥ | ākhyāte 'pi ca sādhanādhāradravyaprādhānyaṃ vyāḍimate | devadattaḥ pacatīti dravyeṇaiva sākṣāt saṃbandhopapatteḥ | kriyā tu guṇabhūtā | ātra vyāpārāviśiṣṭaṃhi dravyam ākhyātārthaḥ | idaṃ tad iti sarvanāmapratyavamarśayogyaṃ cātra dravyam iti sārvatrikīyaṃ vyavasthā tathā ca vakṣyati | dravyadharmā padārthe tu sarvo'rtha ucyate | ata eva ca śuklādīnām api dravyapadārthatā siddhā | tattad upādhivyavacchinnaṃ vā brahma dravyaśabdavācyam | sarvaśābdānāṃ viṣaya iti vakṣyata eva | vyaktiparyāyo vā dravyaśabda iti jātivyaktivikalpena sarvaśabdaviṣayah | tathā ca sarvaśabdānām iti abhidhānāt padād apy apoddhare pratyayarūpasyāpi śabdasya yathāyogaṃ kriyākārakasaṃkhyādi | apoddhārapadārthajātivyaktibhedena samāmnataḥ | ubhayasyāpi va śabdāt pratiter ubhayaṃ padārthaḥ | guṇapradhābhāvabhedāśrayas tu matavikalpaḥ | nityatvopavarṇanam ca siddheśabdārthasaṃbandha ity atra bhāṣye | yasmiṃs tattvaṃ na vihanyata iti |dravyasyāpinityatvaṃ pravāhanityatayā | śabdāt sadaiva vā pratiteḥ

tad evam etad anaṃtarakāṇḍe darśanadvayam upapāditam iti yathāsaṃbhavaṃ pratinidhiś ciṃtyatitaḥ | idānīṃ jātau śabdenābhidhīyamānāyāṃ tatra jātyaṃtarābhāvān nirmitā śabdasya pravṛttir āyetety āśaṃkyopapādayitum āha ||

|| svā jātiḥ prathamaṃ śabdaiḥ sarvair evābhidhīyate || tato rthajātirūpeṣu tadadhyāropakalpanā || 5 ||

|| svā asādhāraṇī ātmīyā gośabdatvādikā | na tu sakalaśabda¦sādhāraṇī śabdatvādiḥ | evaṃ cāsādhāraṇatvena viśeṣaṇatayā saṃbaṃdhāvyabhicāraḥ | gośabdasyārthajātyā saṃbaṃdhavyabhicāre pīti sva jātir eva mukhyam abhidheyam ity uktaṃ bhavati | tathā ca vākyakāraḥ | na vā śabdapūrva|ko hy arthe saṃpratyaya iti | ata evāvyabhiracāriṇyāḥ svarūpajāter arthajāter abhidhāne pi śabdasya nāṃtarīyakam abhidhānam iti prathamam ity āha | yadabhedena yatpratipattiḥ | tad avaśyaṃ tatra pratipattavyam ity etāvatātra prāthamyaṃ na tu krameṇābhidhānāt | yad vā | saṃbaṃdhavyutpa¦ttikālāpekṣayā prāthamyaṃ | tathā hi | saṃbaṃdhavyutpattikāle rthajātyā nāsti saṃbaṃdhaḥ | tathātve vācakatvena tatra viniyogo 'narthakaḥ syāt | arthasya pratipannatvā¦d iti so rthas tāvat tena śabdena na pratipannaḥ | yadi tv asvajātyabhidhānaṃ tadānīṃ na syāt | tadānarthakatvād vibhaktiyogo na syād iti prāk_ saṃjñinābhisaṃbaṃdhāt_ saṃjñā rūpapadārthikety uktaṃ bhavati | svaṃ rūpaṃ svā jātir vā darśanabhedena kathyate | sarvair iti svarūpaparair arthaparaiś ca | tasyā eva svarūpaparatayā vyavahārāt | tathā¦vyutpannair api śabdair avinābhāvāc chabdasvarūpeṇāvasthitā jātiḥ pratipadyate | arthasya kṛdity eva śabdasvarūpābhedenāvabodhe pi yathāpratipāditakrameṇa śrayeṇa tataḥ svajātipratyāyanād anaṃtaram arthajātīnāṃ gotvādīmām ātmasu tasyā śabdatvajāteḥ samāropasya kalpanā | na paramārthaḥ | śabdavivarttatvenārthasya śabdāt tattvato bhedābhāvāt |

yad vā | saṃbaṃdhavyutpattikāle gaur ayam artha ity arthajātyā śabdajāter atyaṃtabhedāt sāmānādhikaraṇyānyathānupapattyābhedādhyāropaḥ ka¦lpyate | yathā gaur bāhīka iti | anyathā saṃketasyaiva karttum aśakyatvāt | yathā cāyam anādir apauruṣeyo vācyavācakabhāvaḥ | tathādhyāropo pi | anyathā vācyavācakabhāva eva na ghaṭeta | yathā bauddhasya dṛśyavikalpārthaikākāro bhedānadhyavasāyalakṣaṇaḥ | na tu yathā gaur bāhīka ity atra puruṣechayādhyāropaḥ | vyavahāraśabdārthayoḥ sadaivābhedāvasāyāt katham iyaṃ prativarṇam anabhivyaktāsādhāraṇa jātir asamasamayabhāvibhir varṇair abhivyajyata iti cet | yathotkṣepaṇatvādijātir iti brūmaḥ | tathā hi pratyekaṃ karmakṣaṇānām upavyaṃjakatve pi yat prathamotkṣepakṣaṇakṣaṇaḥ | sa paramāṇumātravadeśākrameṇa mātmarūpatvāt | bhramaṇasārūpyavaśād anavadhāryamāṇa ekaiko bhe¦da ekaiko samartho niyatajātyabhivyaṃjana iti kṣaṇāṃtaram apekṣate | na ca tasya bhramaṇakṣaṇād viśeṣo nāsti | upakramam adyotkṣipāmīty evaṃ prayatnajanitatvāt | evaṃ gośabdam uccārayāmīty evaṃ prayatno yady api gānagaganaśabdajanakāt prayatnād anya eva hetur bhedādya gakārayor api bheda eva | tathāpi sādṛśyād asau duravadhāra iti vyaṃjako pi san_ prathamo dhvanir asphuṭam abhivyanaktīty āvarttamāno pi viśadatarasāmānyaviśeṣābhivyakto hetuḥ | yadāvayavaprakrama|baṃdhaḥ prakrameṇopalakṣyo bhavati | atha śabdajātiviśeṣopādhiyuktā vyavahārā avatiṣṭhaṃte | tadānīm asāhacaryāt parasparāvachedavaśena vilakṣaṇatayā9 pratibhāsanāt | yathā ca ślokaḥ sakṛt paṭhyamāno nāvadhāryate | abhyāsena tu sphuṭāvabhāsaḥ | tathā caramacetasi cakāsti ratnatattvavat_ sphoṭatattvaṃ | prathamākṣareṇa hi jāter ābhāsamātraṃ janyate | taduttarottaravarṇakalāpena tu sphuṭatarasphuṭatamaparichedādhānaṃ | saṃsmāraviśeṣotpādane dvāreṇābhivyaktiviśeṣasya rabhatatvādau dṛṣṭeḥ | tasmāc chabdād arthaṃ pratipadyāmaha iti vyavahārād varṇānām arthāvasāyajanaka¦tvānupapatteḥ | prakriyānaṃgasya | prathamakāṃḍa eva vihitattvān ni||rayayavakaṃ pratyāyakaṃ śabdatattvaṃ jātivyaktibhedena bhinnasphoṭasvabhāvam evāṃgīkāryaṃ | gaur ayam artha iti ca vācakābhedena vācyapratīteḥ | tadadhyāsacarcitavapur vyavavahāryo rthaḥ | tatra ca svarūpasya vācyatā | prathamakāṇḍa eva nirṇītā | iha tu saṃbaṃdhasamuddeśe pi nirṇeṣyate |

abhidhālakṣaṇavyāpāratvam eva vyaktayati ||

|| jātau padārthe jātir vā viśeṣo cāpi jātivat || śabdair apekṣyate yasmād atas te jātivācinaḥ || 11 ||

|| jātau padārthe iti pakṣāvachedaṃ karoti | atra hi pakṣe sarva eva śabdo jātivācīty abhyupagaṃtavyaṃ | bhavatu vā mā bhūj jātiṣu | jātiśabdais tu jātir vyatiriktayā jātyaikasvabhāvaivāpekṣyate | pratyāyyatvenāṃgīkriyate | svālakṣaṇyena hi vastūnāṃ bhedaḥ spraṣṭuṃ na śakyate | satve pi rūpāveśena saṃbaṃdhavyutpattau śabdasya vācakatvāt | tathā ca jātīnām itaretarabhedo vastu sattābhidhīyate | api tv abhedakalpanena tā abhidhīyaṃte | abhedaś ca sasāmānyam iti siddham ekaśabdatvam | jātaya iti |

sarvaśabdaviṣayatvam evābhivyanakti ||

tāṃ prātipadikārthañ ca dhātvarthañ ca pracakṣate || sā nityā sā mahān ātmā tām āhus tvatalādayaḥ || 33 ||

sarvabhāveṣu sadrūpaṃ sāmānyam anugataṃ | abhāvasyāpi buddhyākāreṇa nirūpaṇān mahāsattayāvinayāviyogāt_ | prātipadikamātravācyā sattā | tad uktaṃ prātipadikārthaḥ satteti | dhātor api sādhanādhīnalabdhajanmasu kriyāvyaktiṣu samavetā | yathopādhyupagṛhīta¦nānātvāt sattaibhidheyadhāyakam āpadyate | siddhasādhyarūpārthadvayātmanāṃ ca tasyā eva vṛttes tadapararāśyabhāvāt sarvaśabdaviṣayatvaṃ sattāyāḥ | pratyayabhāgenākṣapy atra yathāyathaṃ saṃkhyākārakādyupādhiviśiṣṭā sattaivābhidhīyate | sā codayavyayarahitatvān nityā satpratyayasya sarvadānuvṛtteḥ |

ete sattāmātrasyātmano maha¦taḥ ṣaḍ viśeṣapariṇāmā yat paraṃ viśeṣebhyo liṅgamātraṃ mahattattvaṃ | tasminn ete sattāmātre mahaty ātmany avasthāya vivṛddhikāṣṭhām anubhavati | pratisaṃsṛjyamānāś ca tasminn eva sattāmātre mahaty ātmany avasthāya yat tan niḥsaktāsattā sadasad avyaktam aliṃgaṃ tasmin pratiyaṃtīty evaṃ buddhimattvaṃ mahacchabdavācyam ādyaṃ | jagatkāraṇaṃ nirdiṣṭa¦m ity ato naṃtarasya vikāraṇagrāmasya kāraṇarūpānugamāt sattārūpatvam aviruddham iti sattārūpaṃ sarvajagadākhyātaṃ mibhivatīti sattādvaitavādaḥ | sāṃkhyanayenāpy upabṛṃhitaḥ | evaṃ ca sarvaśabdavācyā sattā śabdapravṛttinimittabhūteti yathāyathaṃ bhinnopādhibhāvapratyayābhidheyā saiva | nanv evaṃ gotvam iti prakṛtipratyayayor ekārthatāprasaṅgaḥ | naitat | upādhibhedena sattāyā bhedāt | prātipadikena gavāśrayāyās tasyā abhidhānaṃ pratyayena tu niṣkṛṣṭāśrayasya sāmānyasyābhidhety adoṣaḥ | prakṛtyarthanimittaś ca bhāvapratyayabheda iti na sāṃkaryaprasaṃgaḥ |
