Due to the poor quality of the facsimile, some readings remain unclear. The facsimile begins on the recto side of the second folio, near the beginning of the Jātisamuddeśa until the end of the Kriyāsamuddeśa on folio 341. This manuscript seems to be based on at least two archetypes. Many corrections have been made — possibly by a different hand — which transmit readings which are common to manuscripts M and P, whereas the ante correctionem readings are preserved in manuscript L. These corrections have, in turn, been transmitted to manuscripts K and V, which seem to be based on D. In addition, some avagrahas have been added in the interlinear space to clarify certain negative words and compounds. The corrections are thoughtful and learned, and show an active engagement with the text. Up to the fifth folio, nuktas have been added to "ya" and "dya" characters to distinguish them from "pa" and "dpa". svā asādhāraṇī ātmīyā gośabdatvādikā na tu sakalaśabdasādhāraṇī śabdatvādiḥ | evaṃ cāsādhāraṇatvena viśeṣaṇāt tayā saṃvaṃdhāvyabhicāraḥ | śabdasyārthajātyā saṃvaṃdhavyabhicāraḥ | śabdasyārthajātyā saṃvaṃdhavyabhicāre pīti svā2 jātiḥ | na mukhyam abhidheyam ity uktaṃ bhavati tathā ca vākyakāraḥ na vā śabdapūrvako hy arthe saṃpratyaya iti | ata evāvyabhicāriṇyāḥ sarūpajāter arthajātyabhidhāne śabdasya nāṃtarīyakam abhidhānam iti prathamam ity āha | yadabhedena yatpratipattiḥ tad avaśyaṃ tatra pratipattavyam ity etāvatā'tra prāthamyaṃ na tu krameṇābhidhānāṃ | yad vā samvaṃdhavyutpattikālāpekṣaṃ prāthamyaṃ | tathā hi | saṃvaṃdhavyutpattikāle rthajātyā nāsti saṃvaṃdhaḥ | tathātve vācakatvena tatra viniyogo narthakaḥ syāt | arthasya pratipannatvād iti so rthas tāvat tena śabdena na pratipannaḥ yadi ca svāajātyabhidhānaṃ tadānīṃ na syāt_ tadānartha4katvād_ vibhaktiyogo na syād iti prāk saṃjñinābhisamvaṃdhāt saṃjñā rūpapadārthikety uktam | rūpaṃ hi svarūpaṃ svā jātir vā darśanabhedena kathyate | sarvaiḥ iti svarūpaparair arthaparaiś ca | tasyā eva svarūpatayā vyavahārāchabdasvarūpeṇāvasthitā jātiḥ pratipadyate | arthasya jha2ṭity eva śabdasvarūpābhedenāvavodhe pi yathāpratipāditakramāśrayeṇa | tata svajātipratyāyanād anaṃtaraṃ arthajātīnāṃ gotvādīnām ātmasu tasyāḥ śabdajāteḥ samāropasya kalpanā na paramārthaḥ śabdavivartatvenārthasya śabdāt tattvato bhedābhāvāt |

yad vā saṃvaṃdhavyutpattikāle gaur aya1m artha ity arthajātyā śabdajāter atyaṃtabhedāt sāmānādhikaraṇyānyathānupapa2tyā'bhedādhyāropaḥ kalpyate ya2thā gaur vāhīka iti | anyathā saṃketasyaiva kartum aśakyatvāt_ | yathā cāyam anādir apauruṣeyo vācyavācakabhāvaḥ tathādhyāropo pi | anyathā vācyavācakabhāva eva na ghaṭeta | yathā vauddhasya dṛśyavikalpārthaikīkāro bhedānadhyavasāyalakṣaṇaḥ | na tu yathā gaur vāhīka ity atra puruṣechayā adhyāropaḥ | vyavahāre śabdārthayoḥ sadaivābhedāvasāyā|t katham iyaṃ prativarṇam anabhivyaktāsādhāraṇī jātir asamasamayabhavibhir varṇair abhivyajyata iti cet_ | yathotkṣepaṇatvādijātir iti vrūmaḥ | tathā hi | pratyekaṃ karmakṣaṇānām upavyaṃjakatve pi yaḥ pratham utkṣepaṇakṣaṇaḥ sa paramāṇumātradeśākramaṇamātrarūpatvāt_ bhramaṇakṣaṇāt_1 sārūpyavaśād anava1dhāryamāṇabheda ekaiko samartho niyatajātyabhivyaṃjana iti kṣaṇāṃtaram apekṣate | na ca tasya bhramaṇakṣaṇād viśeṣo nāsti | upakrama evotkṣipāmīty evaṃ prayatnajanitatvāt | evaṃ gośabdam uccārayāmīty ayaṃ prayatno yady api gānagaganaśabdajanakāt prayatnā3d anya eva hetubhedāc ca gakārayor api bheda eva tathāpi sādṛśyād asau duravadhāra iti vyaṃjako pi san_ prathamo dhvanir a4sphuṭam abhivyanaktīty āvartamāno pi na viśadatarasāmānyaviśeṣābhivyaktau hetuḥ | yadā tv avayava4pravaṃdhaḥ krameṇopalabdho bhavati | atha śabdajātiviśeṣopādhiyuktā vyavahārā avatiṣṭhaṃte tadānīṃ sāhacaryāt parasparāvachedavaśena vilakṣaṇatayā pratibhāsanāt | yathā ca ślokaḥ sakṛt paṭhamāno nāvadhāryate abhyāsena tu sphuṭāvabhāsaḥ tathā caramacetasi cakāsti ratna1tatvavat sphoṭata1tvaṃ | prathamākṣareṇa hi jāter ābhāsamātraṃ janyate taduttarottaravarṇakalāpena tu sphuṭatarasphuṭatamaparichedādhānaṃ | saṃskā1raviśeṣotpādanadvāreṇābhivyaktiviśeṣasya ratna1tatvādau dṛṣṭeḥ | tasmāchabdād arthaṃ pratipadyāmaha iti vyavahārād varṇānām arthāvasāyajanakatvānupapatteḥ | prakriyābhaṃgasya prathamakāṃḍa eva vihitatvān niravayavaṃ pratyāyakaṃ śabdatatvaṃ jātivyaktibhedena bhinnaṃ sphoṭasvabhāvam evāṃgīkāryaṃ gaur ayam artha iti ca vācakābhedena vācyapratīteḥ tadadhyāsakhacitavapur vyavavahāryo rthaḥ tatra ca svarūpasya vācyatā prathamakāṃḍa eva nirṇītā iha tu saṃvaṃdhasa4muddeśe pi nirṇeṣyate |

abhidhāvyāpāralakṣaṇatvam eva vyaktayati ||

|| jātau padārthe jātir vā viśeṣo vāpi jātivat | śabdair apekṣyate1 yasmād atas te jātivācinaḥ ||

|| jātau padārthe iti pakṣāvachedaṃ karoti| atra hi pakṣe sarva eva śabdo jātivācīty abhyupagaṃtavyaṃ| bhavatu mā 3 bhūj jātiṣu jāti śabdais tu jātir vyatiriktayā jātyaikasvabhāvaivāpekṣyate pratyāyyatvenāṅgī3kriyate| svālakṣaṇyena hi vastūnāṃ bhedaḥ śabdaiḥ spraṣṭuṃ na śakyate| anvayirūpāveśena saṃbaṃdhavyutpattau śabdasya vācakatvā|t tathā ca jātīnām itaretarabhedo vastu san nābhidhīyate api tv abhedakalpena tā abhidhīyaṃte| abhedaś ca sāmānyam iti siddham ekaśabdatvaṃ jātaya iti|

sarvaśabdaviṣayatvam evābhivyanakti|

tāṃ prātipadikārthaṃ ca dhātvarthaṃ ca pracakṣate || || sā nityā sā mahān ātmā tām āhus tvatalādayaḥ 33|

sarvabhāveṣu sadrūpaṃ sāmānyam anugataṃ abhāvasyāpi bud2dhyākāreṇa nirūpaṇāt_ mahāsattayāyayānayāviyogāt_ prātipadikamātravācyā sattā | tad uktaṃ prātipadikārthaḥ satteti | dhātubhir api sādhanādhīnalabdhajanmasu kriyāvyaktiṣu samavetā yathopādhyupagṛhītanānātvā sattaivābhidheyayopadhād iti vuñ 2kam āpadyate | siddhasādhyarūpārthadvayātmanā ca tasyā eva hy avyā3vṛttes tadapararāśyabhāvāt_ sarvaśabdaviṣayatvaṃ sattāyāḥ | pratyayabhāgenāpy atra yathāyathaṃ saṃkhyākāra4dyupādhiviśiṣṭā sattaivābhidhīyate | sā codayavyayarahitatvān nityā | satpratyayasya sarvadānuvṛtteḥ |

ete sattāmātrasyātmano mahataḥ ṣad viśeṣapariṇāmāḥ yataḥ paraṃ viśeṣebhyo liṃgamātraṃ mahattatvaṃ tasminn ete sattāmātre mahaty ātmany avasthāya vivṛddhi3kāṣṭhām anu-bhavaṃti | pratiprasaṃsṛjyamānāś ca tasmiṃś ca sattāmātre mahaty ātmany avasthāya yat tan niḥsattā'sattaṃ niḥsadasad avyaktam aliṃgaṃ tasmin pratiyaṃtīty evaṃ sāṃkhye buddhitatvaṃ mahachabdavācyam āyadyaṃ jagatkāraṇaṃ nirdiṣṭam ity ato naṃtarasya vikāragrāmasya kāraṇarūpānugamāt sattārūpatvam aviruddham iti sattārūpaṃ sarvaṃ jagadākhyātaṃ bhavatīti sattādvaitavādaḥ sāṃkhyanayenābhyupavṛṃhitaḥ | evaṃ ca sarvaśabdavācyā sattā śabdapravṛttinimitta3bhūteti yathāyathaṃ bhinnopādhibhāvapratyayābhidheyā saiva | na tv evaṃ gotva3m iti prakṛtipratyayayor ekārthatāprasaṃgaḥ | naitat | upādhibhedena sattāyā bhedāt | prātipadikena gavāśrayāyās tasyā abhidhānaṃ pratyayena tu niṣkṛṣṭāśrayasya sāmānyasyābhidhety adoṣaḥ | prakṛtyarthanimittaś ca bhāvapratyayabheda iti na sāṃkaryaprasaṃgaḥ |
