ātmā vastu svabhāvaś ca śarīraṃ tatvam ity api
sa dravyam ity asya paryāyās tac ca nityam iti smṛtam 1
ihārthakriyāyāṃ dravyam evopayujyata iti tad eva pravarttakam arthināṃ ataś ca śabdena tad evocyate anabhidhīyamānā tu jātir avache¦
dikā guṃḍaśabder mādhuryādaya iveti dravyavādinā darśanaṃ dravyaṃ ca dvividhaṃ pāramārthikaṃ sāṃvyavahārikaṃ ca tatra dvitīyaṃ bhedyaṃ bhedakaprastāvena guṇasamuddeśe
vakṣyati vasturūpalakṣaṇam ityādinā anena ca dravyeṇa vyāḍidarśane sarve śabdā dravyābhidhāyino bhavaṃti
iha tu pāramārthikaṃ dravya nirūpyate tathā hi ātmādvaita
vādibhir ātmaśabdena ta dravyam uktaṃ jātmaiva hy upādhibhinnaṃ pratibhāsamānaṃ dravyaṃ pādānām artha iti teṣāṃ darśanaṃ ihaiva vakṣyamāṇaṃ
vastu svalakṣaṇakriyākāri dravyam i¦

svabhāva iti satādvaitavādibhiḥ svabhāva ātmabhūtā sateti kṛtvā tathā hi kramarūpopasaṃhāre sattaiva satvam iti svasaṃbaṃdhadhibhir upādhir ahitā

prakṛter ekadeśaś cetanaḥ puruṣaḥ tadvāreṇa śarīraśarīriṇor avyatirekāc charīraṃ dravyapradhānam eveti prākṛtikaiḥ śarīram eva ātmā yeṣāṃ taiḥ śarī
tmabhir ucyete
tatvam iti catubhūtatatvavādibhiḥ ārvākais tatvam ucyate pṛthivīvyaptejovāyur īti tatvābhiḥ tatsamudāye śarīredriyaviṣayasaṃjñā iti
vacanāt tad evam etaiḥ paramārthata ekam eva vastūcyate
dravyam ity asyaiti dravyaṃ nāma yaḥ padārthaḥs tasyaita eva paryāyāḥ eteṣām eṣi pāramārthikarūpā
bhidhāyitvāt nānye ghaṭādiśabdaḥ saty api tadabhidhāyitve vakṣyamāṇanayenātmādiśabdānām eva sarvatra ghaṭādāv apy āhatasya pratyakṣyatvaṃ tathā ca bhāṣyeaṃ
eko yam ātmā udakaṃ nāmeti atrātmaśabda udake prayujyamāno dravyavacanaḥ ākṛtidvāreṇa cānye śabdāḥ dravye varttate ime tu tatparityāgena mukhyayā
dravyavṛtyeti viśeṣaḥ siddhe śabdārthasaṃbaṃdha ity atra dravyaṃ nityam ākṛtir anyā cānyā ca bhavatīti vadatā bhāṣyakāreṇa nityaṃ dravyaṃ smṛtaṃ saṃgrahoktasya tasyārtha
syānuvādātasyatam ity āha
yady api ca śaktyādidarśane nityaṃ na bhavati dravyaṃ tathāpi tanmatasyānabhyupagamān adoṣaḥ kevalaṃ yad asmākaṃ dravyaṃ tad anyair abhidhī
yata ity evam atropanyāsaḥ yad vā bhāṣyānusāreṇa svarūpānyathātvārnāpatir vikārabhede pi nityatvaṃ vivakṣitam ity atreti sarvatra tat siddhiḥ
evaṃ darśanāṃtareṣv api¦
śrayaṇoddiṣṭeṣv api dravyabhedeṣu svasiddhāṃtāśrayeṇa svabhāvikāṃ dravyapadārthavyavasthā kartum āha |

re samālakṣya upādhīnāṃ cāgamāpāya eva śabdavidhur iti nijasvarūpāṇām arthisārthasamāśāpūraṇaprati|hataśaktitvān na tāvaty eva paryavasānam ity u
palakṣitarūpapṛṣṭhapātitaḥ śabda vyavasthāpyaṃte avadhūtarūpaniveśitvāc ca śabdānām avadhāraṇānusāramye rthe pratipattiḥ avadhṛtisvākāradvāreṇa nirākārasya budhyupārohāyogāt yathāpratyayaṃ ca bhedāvasāyasya bādhyamānatvād anupādhy abhinnam eva rūpaṃ paramārthatas tad eva brahmarūpaṃ satyaṃ satyaṃ

t upādhiṣu śabdānāṃ viśrāṃtyabhāve śabdārthopādhitvaṃ teṣāṃ na syāt avācyasya tadupādhitvāyogād ity etad vicārayitum āha
adhruveṇa nimitte
na devadattagrahaṃ yathā
grahītaṃ gṛhaśabdena śuddham evābhidhīyate3
ādau devadattasya gṛhaṃ yatrāsau kākaḥ prasatīty atra niyatasvāmikagrahopa¦
lakṣaṇabhūtasya kākasya utpatite pi tasmin_ upalakṣaṇasya kṛtatvād adhruvatvam anityatvam iti tadādareṇaiva tadupalakṣaṇagṛhītam abhidhīyate¦
gṛhasaṃbaṃdhena yathā tathā prakṛtasaṃbaṃdhād asatyopādhyupalakṣitaṃ satyam upādhirūpānādareṇa śabdair abhidhīyata iti abhidhīyamānasyābhidhānavi
ṣayaniyāmakatvād upalakṣaṇatve saty upādhidarśanena samarthitaṃ tathā hi ktaktavas tu niṣṭety ananubaṃdhasyāprayogasamavāyitvād adhyupalakṣaṇatvena
tadrahitasya śuddhasya pratyayarūpasya saṃjñāprasaṃga ity atredaṃ bhāṣye darśanam upakṣaṃ
nanu kāko sti vilakṣaṇo grahād bhedenāvadhāryamāṇo mā bhūd gṛhaśa
bdābhidheyaḥ ghaṭādayaḥ svākārā pṛthaganupaladabhyamānatatvāt katham iva tac chabdair nābhidhīyeran anyo hy upādhir upalakṣaṇabhūtaḥ sāmānyenādhir u¦
palakṣaṇabhūtaḥ samādhikaraṇyenāvachedakaḥ tad yathā iti hariḥ paśur ity atra paśu anyatra viśeṣaṇam aprathamaśabdavācyam uparaṃjakaṃ tad yathā vāneya

coktaṃ arthaviśeṣa upādhis tadaṃtavācyasamānaśabde yaḥ anupādhir ato nyaḥ syā¯ghādiviśeṣaṇaṃ ya|dvad itir āśaṃkya sadṛśataram ity atra nidarśa

suvarṇādi yathā yuktaṃ svair ākārair upādibhiḥ
rucakādhyabhidhānānā śuddhaṃ mavaiti vācyatām4
rucakakuṃḍalachyākāraviśeṣopādhīyamā
narūpabhedam api suvarṇam ity eva sarvatropādhirūpaṃ satyam ity apāyibhir ākāraviśeṣais tatsādhyārthakriyākāraṇān na tatraiva rucakādiśabdāḥ kṛtapadabaṃ
dhā kiṃ tu tadatiricyamāne śarīram arthyād vasty abhidhāyakena saptāviśaṃti tadvat prakṛtisaṃbaṃdhād āropāhitanāvātvam api paratatvaṃ śabdagocara ity arthaḥ atraivopā¦
dhibhir iti hetunirddeśaḥ sādhyasamakakṣatayā kṛtaḥ tataś copādhīnām atyatvam avācyatvaṃ ca sidhyati asatyatvād evārthakriyākāraṇā tadartha ca śabdavyavahārā
d avācyatvam atas teṣām ity arthaḥ
nanu rucakādau prakṛtyanvayo vadhāryate evam ihāpi vastunāṃ jñāyamānatvena satvāt jñānasya vaikalpikākārasyānavasthānā ni
rākāraśuddhasaṃvinmātrānugamasya svasaṃvitasiddhatvād adoṣaḥ nanu viśeṣaṇoparaktaṃ viśeṣyābhidhānayuktam ity upasarjjanībhūtasyābhidhāne kā kṣatiḥ na kevalam upādhiṣv evātrāpi tātparyaṃ dṛṣṭvā padabaṃdho nivāryate guṇatvena tv abhidhānam astu na ca tāvaty eva viśrāṃtir iti dravyaniṣṭatāsiddhiḥ

sarvabhāveṣu brahmaṇo dravyalakṣaṇasyābhedāt tadabhidhāyitve śabdānāṃ sarvatra tasya bhāvāt sarvārthyaṃ śabdāṃtarābhidhīyamānārthatvaṃ sāṃkaryaṃ prasa
jyata ty atredam ucyate pratiniyatākāraparichinnavṛtitvāt sarvārthatvaṃ pratibaṃdhād asaṃkara ity arthaḥ
ghaṭākāropadhānapuraḥsaraṃ ghaṭaśabdena brahmadravyam abhi
mukhīkriyate ghaṭākāropadhānena tu paṭaśabdene tur upādhirūpopahitavivekītvam abhidhānīyaṃ tad yathā nālikāsuṣiravartmanī hitanayanās tadavakā
śāvasthitam evārthabhāgaṃ paśyaṃti tathāvidyāvachinnapṛthak_śaktibhir ākārabheaidair eva vastupalakṣyate tathaiva ca yathādhyavasāyaṃ śabdaniveśāc chabdair abhi
dhīyata īty arthaḥ
yathā āvaraṇādidriyasyaiva prakāśaśakti pratibadhyate tena viṣayo vikriyate tathānādyāvidyāvachaṃdaprakalpitavibhāgānāṃ jīvā¦
nām eva saṃvedanaśaktir niyamyate yena vichinnārthābhimānena bhedaviṣayāny abhidhānāni prayujyate na tu tatvam avidyayā āvilīkriyate iti nāti¦
nālikānidarśanena sucayati nālikādibhir ity ādigrahaṇād avadhānapratighātamūrttyabhijanādyavarodhaḥ yatraiva vyavadhānaṃ tad evāvadhāryate mūrtyabhi
jano rūpasaudaryaṃ tenāpahṛto nya na paśyati
yena tarhy ākāramātraniveśinaḥ sanniveśādiśabdās te dharmamātram abhidadhyur iti na sārvatrikī dravyapadārtha
vyavasthābhidhīyatety āśaṃkyāha
teṣv āokāreṣu yaḥ śabdaḥs tathābhūteṣu varttate
tatvātmakatvāt tenāpi nityam evābhidhīyate 6
upādhiṣv abhāveṣv api sanni¦
veśādyākāreṣu sanniveśādiśabdo varttamānaḥ paramārthatas tatvād avyatirekād upādhīnāṃ tanniṣkarṣe svarūpasyātmasvarūpatvād ātmany eva satvā tad eva ni
tyam upādhīmallīnatā tadā dravyam apy ubhidhāne nihitaṃ bhavati tatvam ātmāṃ hy upādhīnāṃ na tu kevalasyātmāna iti vyāpakatvāt sarva evopādhayaḥ 6 tadātmanā sa
tayaivabhidhīyaṃte tadā hy upādhīmallinatā tadopādheya upādhayo na bhavaṃti tatas tu niṣkarṣe dharmāṃtarāśrayatayā svātaṃtryād upādhitvam eva nopadhitvam iti
bhāvaḥ
yady evaṃ dharmāṇām apy avasthāṃtare dhamirūpatvān nityatve satyatve cākārāṇām anityatvaṃ avayavadravyasya tu satyatve nityatve tasya niyamasyā¦
nupapattir ity āśaṃkyāha |
| na tatvātatvayor bheda iti vṛddhebhya āgataḥ
atatvam iti manyaṃte tatvam evāvicāritam 7 |
| asyāyam atrārthaḥ na hi dvaitanaye¦
satyāsatye dvarūpe staḥ advaitahāniprasaṃgāt kiṃ tu pāramārthikam evādvayaṃ tatvaṃ tac cānādisiddhāvidyāvilasitasahapramātṛviṣayatayā tathātvam anavabhāsamānam iti anekavikalpaparighaṭitākārarūpatayā vyavahāram anusarati tathā ca tad evākāranānātvonnīyamānasvarūpabhedaṃ cakāsti nānyat_ tadvya
tiriktasyānyasyābhāvāt
tathā ca yo yaṃ prakāśaḥ sā vidyā aprakāśas tu tamo vidyā na ca prakāśābhyā prakāśo nāma kaścit pramāṇasiddho nirūpyaḥ tata¦
ś ca yo yaṃ bhedaprakāśaḥ saivaiyanaprakāśakabhāvaḥ prakāśavichedo vidyā tatra ca vichedānvachinnānvayo vichedo vadhāryata iti vichitiprakāśaḥ sato vidyai
va chedamātratvaṃ pradhāsvabhāvaṃ kiṃcid avidyeti paramārthatatve kiṃcid yat tatvaṃ vyavatiṣṭhate tatvam eva yathāpratibhāsaṃ bhedena cāvakāśād iti vicāritaramaṇīyaṃ pra
paṃco tatvam iti vyavahriyata iti brahmavidaḥ tathā cāvicāritaramaṇīyaṃ parīkṣayā vyavasthitaṃ tatvam evātyaṃtatīrthīkā bhedadarśanavyavasthitā bhedātmakaṃ ta¦
tvaṃ manyaṃta iti vicāreṇāvidyāvīlaye brahmaikaniṣṭhatayā darśanānāṃ tad uktaṃ satyā viśuddhis tatrokta vidyaivetyādi
evaṃ tena tena rūpeṇa brahmaiva vikalpitaṃ bha
vatīti sarvaśabdānāṃ tata upādhimukhaṃ tad eva viṣayaḥ siddha ity āha
vikalparūpaṃ bhajate tatvam evāvikalpitam
na cātra kālabhedo sti kālabhedaś ca gṛhyate 8 |
paramārthato vikalpitaṃ vikalpānām aviṣayaḥ yad eva tatvaṃ vyavahāre py asti svabhāvād vikalpamānaṃ vikalparūpaṃ vikalparūpaṃ nānāvidhabhedāvabhāsamā|nādisiddhā
vidyāvaśāt sarvam avalaṃbate jīvātmabhedenāvatiṣṭhamānaṃ tadgatatveneti nivivarttādiśrayādik_śaktipravibhakte nānātvanimittapaurvāparyālaṃbana
sahaṃ evaṃ kālakalpitaṃm api tatvam anādhinidhānaṃ kālākhyaṃ svātaṃtryaśaktiviniveśitapratibaṃdhābhyanujñāvaśāj janmādibhāvavikārāvidhīyamānapau
rvāparyaṃ cakāstity arthaḥ
nanv avidyamānasya tatvena pratibhānam ayuktam ity āśaṃkya dṛṣṭāṃtenopapādayati |

jaḍar na kenacid aṃśena sārūpyam ity āha tathā coktaṃ ekadeśena sārūpya saṃvit syāt sarvavedanaṃ sarvātmanā tu sārūpyā saṃvit syāt sajñānatāṃ vrajed iti

saṃbhavidharmāchuritaṃ vijñāna viśuddhabodhasvabhāvam apy avidyāyāṃ vyavahāre vabhāsata iti dṛṣṭuṃ nidarśanāṃm āha pyā |
| yathā vikārarūpāṇāṃ yatve tyaṃtyam asaṃbha
vaḥ
tadātmaiva ca tatra tvam atyaṃtam adātmakam 10 |
| saṃkhyasyāvikṛtapradhānatvaṃ sarvavikāragraṃthi bījāvastham abhinnam anuspṛṣṭam eva mahadādirūpaiḥ paramā
rthata tad dhi mahadādivikāraśaktiyuktuṃ guṇasāmyāvasthātmakaṃ guṇavaiśamyavaśopajāyamānāvikāragraṃthibījāvasthanānād vilakṣyaṇam eva a
tha ca vyavahāre mahadādirūpavikārarūpāvadhāraṇena tadupalaṃbhāsaṃbhava iti sarvadarśaneṣv avidyānvayinī evam asatyākāro pradhānena ca tatvaprati¦bhāsaḥ siddha iti sādhyānvayo gṛhītaḥ
kathaṃ punar etad avagamyate ākārā asatyās tato nyata satyam ity āha |

tan nityaṃ śabdavācyaṃ tachabdātatvaṃ na vidyatai 11 |
| tad ava hi nityaṃ yasmis tatvaṃ nya vihinyata iti bhāṣyāśrayanusāreṇaitad ucyate || tathā hi kana
kam ity eva satyaṃ punar aparayā ākṛtyā yukta khadirāṃgārasavarṇaḥ kuṃḍale bhavata ity anenaiva nityasya brahmaṇaḥ satyatocyate tathā hi tatra stvakā¦
dyākāropamarddanena suvarṇam ity eva satyaṃ e|vam anaṃtavikāragrāmāpāye savato te vatiṣṭhamānopādhirūpaṃ satyaṃ tad eva ca bhavato nityaṃ āpekṣita tu
jātyādīnāṃ vyavahāre nityatvam ucyate tathā hi vyaktyapāye jātir avatiṣṭhamānā gotvādikā ditikā tatrāpy aśvatyāpāye dibhedāpāye pṛthivīty eva
satyaṃ tatrāpy aśvatvādibhedopāye vastv ity eva satyaṃ sarvanāmamapratyāyyam tatrāpi saṃvidrūpasyānupāyinānavagamād viṣayākāraviveke tad eva paāramā¦
rthikaṃ satya|m iti netī netīty upāsīteti bhāvanayā codyate saṃviśya paśyaṃtī parār vāk aśabdabrahmamayīti brahmatatvaṃ śabdāt pāramārthika na bhidyata
iti vivarttadaśāyāṃ tu vaivaryātmanā bhedaḥ tatra ca tad eva nityaṃ jātyādirūpeṇeti śabdavācyaṃ tatrāṃtaropādānaśabdaviṣayaviśrāntyā vācakasya vyavasthā
panāt svarūpāṃtargatasyārthasya vācyatvād vācyavācakayoḥr avibhāgaḥ siddha iti prathamakāṃḍe nirṇītam a evānaṃtaram ihābhidhāyati tasya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdha
rūpam ekasya dṛśyata iti
yad uktaṃ tadātmevava ca tat tatvam atyaṃtam atadātmakam iti tatrātyaṃtam atadātmakatāṃ tāvad vyācaṣṭe |

vati tathā hi astīti na śakyate vyavaharttuṃ satvopādhikasya svarūpasya tatvasvabhāvayogā tenātmanā vyavahārānavatārāt_ nāpi nāstīty atyaṃ
tābhāvopādhikasyāpy anyatvāt pramāṇena bhāvātmakasya tatvasyāveditatvād
ekasaṃkhyopādhiyamānarūpaviśeṣa tatvaṃ na bhavati nirupādhitatvasya
vastuto bhinnatvāt tathā caikam ity apratīter nāpi pṛthaktvāhitaviśeṣaṃ tadbhinnasyāsatyatvād
nāpi saṃsargopādhikaṃ vā tato dvitīyasya pramā¦
ṇenānupapateḥ kuto bhinnavibhaktaṃ ca kena vā visṛṣṭaṃ syāt
parīṇāmaniṣedhena vivarttābhyupagamān na vikṛtaṃ anekam āvagrāmarūpatayā vātyadbhu¦
tayā vṛtyā vivartanād avikṛtam ity api na śakyate vyavaharttum iti sarvavyapadeśātītatvaṃ paraṃ brahma
atha ca tadātmaivāviṣam avām avadhāryata i

| tan nāstī vidyate tac ca tad ekaṃ tat_ pṛthak_ pṛthak
saṃsṛṣṭaṃ ca vibhaktaṃ ca vikṛta ta tad anyathā 13 |
| bhāvābhāvavikārāvabhāsajananaśakti tad evāsti nāsti ca satāsatopādhikavyavahārasad bhāvatas tan niḥsattāsatvaṃ niḥsadasat paraṃ brahma vyāvahārikaṃ caikānakavyavahāraṃ jātivya
ktyātmanā tad eva varttayati saṃkhyopādhikam api ca evaṃ saṃyogopādhikam api ca anyasaṃsargitayāvabhāsanāt evaṃ vivekāvasāyaḥ tatra yathā sa¦
mastavikārātmakā janyamānam ivākāśādyātmanā kūṭastha tad evāvabhāsata iti tadātmaiva tatvam ity uktaṃ
evaṃ ca kṛtvā tanmayatvāvirodhino pi
vyavahāras tatraivopalīyata ity āha
tasya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdharūpam ekaṃ hi dṛśyate
tad dṛśyadarśanaṃ dṛṣṭā darśane ca prayojanam 14 |

nāṃ bhāvato dvayarūpato tatra hy āṃtarataḥ śrutyarthaśakti saṃsṛjyete iti vivartadaśāyāṃ śrutyarthaśākhātmanā tasyaiva vikāsād vācyavācakarūpa
tayā bhedavatāsau jñānajñeyaivaṃ vidhaṃti brahmāṃḍa eva prapaṃcam artho smābhi nirṇīta iti tata evācadhāryaṃ
tatra sa rūpatayā ca tasyaiva vivarttaḥ tathā hi
dṛśya tāvad bhāvajātaṃ saṃvidrūpaṃ vaidyatvāt evaṃ cedam anekaprakāśaparamārthasya prakāśayogād itiḥ pūrvakāṃḍaitasiddhau ta vītatya vicāritaṃ dṛ¦
ṣṭā jīvātmā 'pi cākṛtāvachedo niyataḥ satvasaṃsārī bhoktā brahmaiva cetanatvāt tato bhedo nupapatter iti traivopapāditaṃ anena ca pradhānakartṛka
rmarūpakārakaniścayena kārakātasyārūpasiddharūpo vivartapāditaḥ
darśanaśabdena ca pradhānakriyāni|rddeśenaikakriyāntasyākṣepekṣā sādhyasva
bhāvaḥ kriyāvivartto py uktaḥ kāraṇaśaktyavacchinnā hi kriyāvivartā divaśatayāvacchinnasya mūrttir vivarta iti vivartarūpaṃ viśvaṃ pratipāditaṃ

dhāyi prakhyoyātmakatvāt vyavahārasya nitye śabdārthasaṃbaṃdharūpaṃ dṛśyadarśana ceti bhedenātra nirdeśaḥ etac cāvidyāmayaṃ rūpa kathyate paramārtha¦
kaṃ tu praśāṃtaḥ prapaṃcarūpaṃ vakṣyati yatra dravyāvaśāt dṛśyaṃ ca darśanaṃ cāpi | kalpitaṃ tasyaivārthasya nityatvaṃ śritās tyetyaṃtavedina iti
yuktam idaṃ ā
kṛtasaṃhāre yad avatiṣṭhate tat satyam iti tatraitasmāt tad anena kiṃcid avatiṣṭhate āsad apadam evaitad viśvam āvirbhatīvy āśaṃkyāpi hetubhinnakāraṇa
pūrvakatvam anvayamukhena dṛṣṭāṃtopakramaṃ saṃdhāyitum āha |
vikārāpagame satyasuvarṇair kuṃḍalair yathā
vikārāpagame satyāṃ tathāhuḥ prakṛtiparāṃ¦

| kuṃḍalaṃ svātmavikārāpāye dve kuṇḍale suvarṇam ekasatyaṃm avatiṣṭhate yathā tathā vikārāpagame pṛthivyādivikārādigame tv ayāyinī prakṛtir abhinnā saty avatiṣṭhata ity abhyupeyam āhur īti āgamasiddhatā dhanati brahmaṇaḥ tathā coktaṃ ekam eva ya|d āmnātam iti ātmaivedaṃ satyam iti śru
tiḥ upodbalamātra cārumāna tathā hi nirupākhyād asato parāt prādurbhāvo na yuktaḥ ābhāvasya bhāvarūpatvavirodhāt na hi śaśaśṛṃgāt kasyacid udbha
vo vidyate asti ca vijñānarūpatayā jagaty envaya iti pūrvam evaitat tathā vakṣyati nābhāvo vijāyate bhāvo naikabhāvo hy upākhyatām iti cidrūpasya
cichaktiḥ pariṇāminīti vikāratvābhāvān nedaṃ sāṃkhyanayavatpariṇāmadarśanaṃ api tu vivarttapakṣaḥ viśeṣaś cānayor vākyapadīye smābhir vyākhyā
tām iti tata eva vādhāyī iha pi saṃbaṃdhasamuddeśe vakṣyati kāraṇātaravyudāsaś cādvayasiddhau abhihita iti saty arthitve tata evāvagaṃtavyaḥ
tad evam ā
tmaśabdābhidheyasya brahmaṇaḥ padārthaparamārtharūpatvāt dravyarūpatvam upapādya sarvaśabdavācyatvaṃ tasyaiva nigamayitum āha |

yatākāro hīyam ānarūpabrahmaiva bhedaṃ brahmaiva sarvavidyāviṣaya ity ukto rthaḥ ātmā brahma tatvam ity ukte pi hi śabdaḥ samabalaṃvitopādhayo py ātmā¦
nam anu parivarttate nirupādhino vā viṣayātītahitatvam ity upadiśaṃti brahmavidas tu yadi śabdo pekṣayā tv ātmādiśabdāḥ pratyāsannāḥ sarvasya ca
tanmayatvāchabdā api tadātmakāḥ yathācittaṃ ¯¯śakyabhede pi ca pāramārthikaṃ saṃsṛṣṭato traikayātrāyāṃ bhedā satya itīvaśabdaḥ ata eva dvisaṃbaṃdhopapa
tiḥ
nanu ceṃdrajālam idaṃ yad avadhṛtam upabhedānām api saṃbhāvanāsādhyasaṃbhāvanām anādṛtya tatvam avasīyamānāparamārthatopanadeśanam ity āśaṃkya dṛ
ṣṭāṃtenaitat sādhayitum āha |
| ātmā paraḥ priyo dveṣyoau vaktā vācyaṃ prayojanā
viruddhāni yaethaikasya svapne rūpāṇi cetasaḥ 17
ājanmani tathā nitye
paurvāparyavivarjite
tatve janmādirūpatvaṃ viruddham upalabhyate 18 |
| svapnāvasthāgataḥ prapaṃco jāgarayā bādhyamānatvāt satya iti sarvabādhābhyupaga
maḥ tenaiva dṛṣṭāṃtena jāgarīyām api bhāvabhedaḥ turīyadaśāyām anananavṛter asatyo vyavasthāpyate yat kila sarvavasthāsv anugataṃ tad eva satyaṃ tac ca sa¦
vinmātraṃ rūpam avādhyamānam avasthābhedas tv āgamāyāyitvād bādhito sat sukhaduḥkhādivat tathā hi rāgādayaḥ sukhādayaś ca svabhāvatvāt savinmā
traṃ rūpaṃ na kurvaṃti tathā bhedo py anekākāratuṣṭyopahataḥ
tac ca svapne viruddhakārochekhe sārvatrikī dṛṣṭiḥ pratimātraniyat_ vaikalpikiti ko bhimāno
vyāpārānusārī saṃsārī bhoktā su ca bhāvatad eva tanāt brahmaiva ca tathā ca tāvati svātaṃtryam ity apīśvaro naṃtyopādānābhāvāt nābhyāsyāyat_ priyāpriyarūpatayā rāgadveṣādimayena saṃsāramohena paraṃ vibhāgānusārī parasaṃkathanād iti tathāhur vedāṃtatattvanipuṇāḥ pravibhajyā
tmanātmānaṃ sṛṣṭvā bhāvān_ pṛthavidhān_ sarveśvaraḥ sarvamayāḥ sarvabhoktā pravarttaṃte iti bhokteti pratyagātmasiddhir iyam uktā tasya ca sarveśvaratvā
t brahmarūpatve sṛṣṭisāmarthyam uktaṃ sarvaviṣayatvāc cānanyopādānavicitrasvabhāvam āho pajñānam āhuḥ jaata eva pravibhajyātmānātmānam i
ti kartṛkarmabhedābhāvād vaikalpikatvam asvasṛṣṭeḥ sphuṭam uktaṃ bāhyopādanā tu jāgarāyām aiśvarīr sṛṣṭir viśvaśabdavācya sarvapramātṛviṣayī¦

sthiratvāsthiratvagrahāvedanānimitas tu bhedaḥ avidyāpravṛttirūpatvāt punar asya satyatā samānaiva kevalam asatyām avidyā paramo mohaś cichakte
r āvarako nidrā nāma tadvaśād atraiva bhrāṃtatvābhimāne yā dṛśaṃ nanu jananamaraṇarahitaiḥ pravibhakte kūṭasthair vāsmin_ brahmaṇi cidānaṃdarūpasarvam eva
jagaj jāgratsvapnādyavasthāgataṃ mūrtikriyāvivarttasaṃsṛtsam anvayicitsāmānyamātraṃ tu paramārtha iti siddhaṃ viruddham upalabhyate iti vedanavidyāyāṃ
virodham abhyupaiti yat tad eva hy avidyāyā svarūpaṃ ya tad anupapadyamānam apy apagamaṃ nāpaiti upapannatve vidhaiva syāt tasmād asatyaprapaṃcaprakāśa
śaktir brahmaṇo nādisiddhā grāhagrāhakayugena svānurūpam upacāratayā jagannāṭyam ātanotītavicārītaramaṇīyam āmanaṃti tatvadṛśaḥ ||
