This manuscript is held at the University of Göttingen. It was comissioned by Franz Kielhorn and received in 1874 from Nānā Shāstrī at Sāgar. It is documented in a letter between government officials, dated the 15th of August 1876; in the letter, it is stated that two copies of the Harikárikávyákhyána by Helárája (grammar) have been sent to Kielhorn (Gough 1878, 203). The archetypical manuscript from which this manuscript was copied is listed as having 74 folios, with 10 lines to a page, and 2000 ślokas (Kielhorn 1874, 90). The text is incomplete, starting from the beginning of the Jātisamuddeśa and breaking off in the middle of the commentary on the 15th kārikā of the Dravyasamuddeśa. The manuscript contains two copies of the text; the first (G1) is clearly a copy of the second (G2). G1 omits a large section of text corresponding precisely to the verso side of folio 27 in G2. Both G1 and G2 are bound together in book form; a page of notes in Kielhorn's hand has been pasted into the beginning of the book, listing the different sections of the Vākyapadīya and the number of verses in each, along with the manuscripts that were either known to him or that he had surveyed. From these notes, it seems that, in 1874, Kielhorn only knew of two manuscripts of the Dravyasamuddeśa – this one, and the one held at the Bhandarkar Oriental Institute. This is a transcription of G1, which is the first copy as it appears in the binding.

upādhimātrasvalāves tu pi saṃniveśādyākāreśur sanivaāśādiśabdāḥ || varttamājāḥ para-rthatas tatvād avyatirekād upādhīnāṃ na tu miṣkarṣe svarūpatvādy atmanaiva sattāt tad eva nityam upādhimadravyam āpatidhāne ti ta-tvam ātmā hy unādhīnāṃ na tu te tasyātmāne iti vyāpakatvāt sarvapadopādhayas tadātmanā saṃtas tathaivātidhīvate yadā hy upādhimadhīnatā tadopādheva vapādhayo na bhavaṃti tata śrutipūrve dharmetarāśrayatayā svātaṃtryad upādhimatva va nopādhitvam ity āśaya ||

sāṃkhyāvikṛtaṃ pradhānatatvaṃ sarvavikāragraṃthicījāvasthaṃm abhinamaṃ nupabhṛṣṭam eva mahadādivikārarūpaiḥ paramārthataḥ || tad dhi mahadādivikāraśaktiyukta muṇasāmyāvasthātmakaṃ guṇavaiṣamyavimarddavaśopaLjāyamānavikāranānātvād vilakṣaṇam eva adyaṃ va sravahāre mahadādivikārarūpāvadhāṇo | na vinā tadupalaṃbhāsaṃbhava iti sarvadeśe vyadhiyātradhinī yavam āpy ākāro pradhānena tatvapratisaḥ || siddha iti sārthānvayo gṛhītaḥ |
katha punar etad anyāmyate ākārā asatyās tato nyat satvam ity āha |
satyam ākṛmisaṃhāre yad aṃte vyavatiṣṭato
tāni śabdavācyaṃ tachabdātvadha na vidyato
tad eva hi nityaṃ yasmiṃ sūtvaṃ na vihanyate iti bhāṣyanusāreṇaitad uvyate | tathā hy atrektaṃ kanam ity eva sa-tyaṃ punar ayākṛtyāny uktaṃ khadirāṃgāraḥ || suvarṇakuṇdale bhakta ity anenaiva dṛkṣyaṃte na vikārāpekṣayā bhinnasya brahmaṇaḥ || satyatovyate | tathā hi | tatra rūpakādyākāropamarddena suvarṇam ity eva satyaṃ evam anaṃtavikāragrāmopāye saṃrvāte vatipramāṇam anyadyāpi brahmarūpaṃ satyaṃ | tad eva va bhāvato nityam āpekṣyaṃ tu nātvādīnāṃ sarvavyavahāre nityatva ucyato tathā hi vyaktapāye jātir iveti mamānā gotrādikā nityā tatrāpy aśvattādibhedatyāye pṛthivīty eva satyaṃ tatrāpy avādibhedāpāye vastv ity e‾ satyaṃ sarvanāmapratvāyyaṃ tatrāpi saṃvidūpatyyanapāyino nugamāviṣāyākāraviveke tad eva pāramā-rthiākaṃ satyam iti neti nety upāsīteti | bhāvanayā voyate saṃvi‾ paramaṃtīrūpā parā vākyaśabdabrahmamayīti brahmatatvaṃ śabdāt pāramārthikāt__ na bhidyate vivattaṃ daśāyāṃ tu vaikharyātmanā bhedāḥ || tatra ca tad eva nityaṃ jātyādirūpeṇe śabdavācyaṃ tatrāṃtare pādānaviśrātyā vākattasya vyavasthāpanāt svarūpāṃtānisyāvācyatvād vāvyavāvakayor avibhāgaḥ || siddhāḥ iti prathamakāṃḍe ni-ṣītaṃ ata evānaṃtaram ihābhidhāsyati tasya śabdārthasaṃbaṃdhaṃ rūpam ekasya dṛśyata iti

prayojanaśabdena va samatikriyāphala iti nidarśa iti sādhyasādhanaphalarūpatayā viśvasaṃkalānāyām aśeṣavivarttānuguṇyaṃ brahmaṇaḥ || pratipāditāṃ || ekasya sarvapījasya veyayam ekadhā noktabhoktavyarūpeṇa bhogarūpeṇa sthitir iti brahmakāṃḍe pratipādivaṃ tatraiya va satatvanirṇayo- smābhi vyavadhāyi prādyopākhyātmākatvāt_ vyavahārasya dditye śabdāye saṃbaṃdharūpaṃ tadṛśyadarśanaṃ veti bhede‾sra nirdeśaḥ || etav vāvidhyāmayaṃ rūpaṃ kathyate ta pāramārthikaṃ tu prakāśāṃtaprapaṃcarūpaṃ vakṣyati yatra draṣyāvasā dṛśyaṃ vaṃ darśanaṃ vāvikalpitaṃ tasyaivārthasya prityatvaṃ śritās traiṣyaṃtavedina iti
yuktam idaṃ ākṛtisaṃhāre te yad avatiṣṭhate tat satyaṃm iti taitrat syād ante ja kiṃvid avatiṣṭhate asadam apadam eṃvaitad viśvam āvirbhavatīty āśaṃkyāpi detunā'bhinnakāraṇapūrvakatvam anvayamukhenna dṛstāṃtopakramaṃ sādhayitum āha ||
vikārāpagame sa suṃvarṇaṃ kuṃḍale yathā
vikārāpagame satyāṃ tathāhuḥ || prakṛviṃ paṇāṃ
kuḍalasvātmakavikārāpāye dhe kuṃḍale suvarṇam ekaṃ satyam avatiṣṭhate yathā tathā pṛthivyādivikāravigame nvayinī prakṛtir abhiṃbhā saty avatithata ity upeyaṃ āhur iti āgamapramāṇasiddhatāṃ dhvanati brahmaṇaḥ || tathā coktaṃ ekam eva padāmnātaṃm iti ātmaivedaṃ śasvam iti hi śrutiḥ || upodvalamātraṃ vānumānaṃ tathādi nirūpākhyād asato parāt prādurbhāvo na yuḥktaḥ śvabhāvasya- bhāvarūpatvavirodhān na hi śaśaśṛṃgāt kasyavid udva | kṣodbhavo dṛśyate asti ca jñānarūpatayā jagaty anvaya iti tatpūrvam e-Lvaiva tat || ta‾ śvadhyati nvābhāvo jāyate bhāvo naikabhāvo nupākhyatāṃm iti | tasya vidrūpasya vichaktir apariṇāminīti vikārābhāvān nedaṃ śāṃkhyanayavatvarināmadarśanaṃ api tu vivarttapakṣaḥ || viśeṣaś va | nayor gākyamadīye smābhir vyākhyātam iti tata evāvādhāryaṃ ihāpi saṃbaṃdhasamuddeśe vakṣyeta kāraṇāṃtaravyudā
