rogavibhāgañ ca vadasva vadatām varaḥ || tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā jagāda bhagavān ṛṣiḥ svayaṃbhūr eṣa bhagavān vāyur ity abhiśabditaḥ || svātantryān nityabhavāc ca sarvvagatvāt tathaiva ca | sarvveṣām netā rogasamūharāṭ || āśucārī muhūścārī pakvādhānagudālayaḥ | dehe vicaratas tasya lakṣaṇāni nivodha me || indriyārthopasampattir ddoṣadhātvagni sāmyatāṃ | kriyāṇām ānulomyañ ca kuryād vāyur adūṣitaḥ 'tyartham mārggarodhād vipannas tat saṃpṛktam vāyunā dūṣitena || tatprāvalyād ucyate vātaraktaṃ tadvat pittaṃ dūṣitenāsṛjāktaṃ | asparśecchātodabhedapraśoṣo svāpopeto vātaraktena pādau || pittāsṛgbhyāṃ bhavatas tūgradāhāv atyarthoṣṇau raktaśophau mṛdū ca | kaṇḍūmantau svetaśītau saśothau pīnastabdhau śleṣmaduṣṭe tu rakte || sarvvaduṣṭe śoṇite cāpi doṣāḥ svaṃ svaṃ liṃgam pādayor ddarśayanti || pādayor mmūlam āsthāya kadācid dhastayor api | ākhor vviṣam iva kruddhas tad deham anusarppati || ājānusphuṭitaṃ yac ca prabhinnam praśrutañ ca yat | vātaraktam asādhyan tad yāpyaṃ samvatsarotthitaṃ || yadā tu dhamanīḥ sarvvāḥ kupito bhyeti mārutaḥ | tadākṣipaty āśu muhur mmuhur ddehaṃ muhuścaraḥ || muhur mmuhus tv ākṣipaṇād ākṣepaka iti smṛtaḥ | yato yaṃ tāmyate 'tyartham ato jñeyo 'patānakaḥ || kaphānvito bhṛśam vāyus tāsv eva yadi tiṣṭhati | sa daṇḍavat stambhayati sa tu daṇḍāpatānakaḥ || dhanustulyan named yas tu sa dhanuḥstambhasaṃjñitaḥ | aṃgulīgulpha jaṭhara hṛdvakṣogala saṃśritaḥ || snāyupratānam anilo yadākṣipati vegavān | viṣṭavdhākṣastavdhahanur bhbhagnapārśvaḥ kaphān vaman || abhyantaran dhanur iva yadā nāmyati mānavaḥ | tadā so 'bhyantarāyāmaṃ kurute māruto valī || vāhyasnāyupratānastho vāhyāyāmaṅ karoti ca | tam asādhyaṃ vudhāḥ prāhur vvakṣaḥ kaṭyūrubhañjanaṃ || kaphapittānvito vāyur vvāyur eva ca kevalaṃ| kuryād ākṣepakaṃ tv anyaṃ caturtham abhighātajaṃ || garbhbhapātanimittaś ca śoṇitātisravāc ca yaḥ | abhighātanimittaś ca na sidhyaty apatānakaḥ || adhogamāś cordhvagāś ca tiryaggāś cānilo valī | yadātyartham prakupito dhamanīḥ pratipadyate || tadānyatarapakṣasya sandhivandhānvimokṣayan | hanti pakṣantamāhuś ca pakṣāghātam bhiṣagvarāḥ || tasya kṛtsnaṃ śarīrārddham akarmmaṇyam acetanaṃ | tataḥ patatyasūn vāpi tyajaty anilapīḍitaḥ || dāhaḥ santāpamūrcchā syur vvāyau pittasamanvite | śaityaśophagurutvañ ca tasminn eva kaphānvite || śuddhavātāhatampakṣaṃ kṛcchraṃ sādhyatamam viduḥ | sādhyam anyena saṃsṛṣṭam asādhyaṃ kṣayahetukaṃ || uccair vvyāharato 'tyarthaṃ khādataḥ kaṭhināni vā | hasato jṛmbhato bhārāc chayanād viṣamād api || arddayitvānilo vaktramardditañjanayatnataḥ || vakrī bhavati vaktrārddhaṅ grīvā cāpy upavarttate || śiraś calati vākbhaṃgonetrādīnāṃ ca vaikṛtaṃ | grīvācivukadantānāṃ tasmin pārśve ca vedanā || tam ardditam iti prāhur vvyādhiṃ vyādhivicakṣaṇāḥ || kṣīṇasyānimiṣākṣasya praśaktāvyaktabhāṣiṇaḥ || na sidhyaty ardditam vāḍhaṃ trivarṣam vepanasya ca || pārṣṇipratyaṅgulīnāṃ yā kaṇḍarā sānilārdditā | sakthnaḥ kṣepanna gṛhṇāti gṛdhrasīti ca sā smṛtā || talam pratyaṃgulīnān tu kaṇḍarā vāhupṛṣṭhataḥ | vāhvoḥ karmmakṣayakarī viśvañcītīha cocyate || vātaḥ śoṇitajaḥ śopho jānumadhye mahārujaḥ | jñeyaḥ kroṣṭukaśīrṣeti sthūlaḥ kroṣṭukaśīrṣavat || vāyuḥ kaṭyāśritaḥ sakthnaḥ kaṇḍarāmākṣipedyadā | khañjas tadā bhavej jānuḥ paṃguḥ sakthnor dvayor vyadhāt || prakāmam vepate jantuḥ khañjann iva ca gacchati | kalāyakhañjantam vidyān muktasandhipravandhanaṃ || nyaste tu viṣame pāde rujaṃ kuryāt samīraṇaḥ | vātakaṇṭaka ity eṣa jāyate khalukāśrayaḥ || pādayoḥ kurute dāham pittāsṛksahito 'nilaḥ || viśeṣataś caṅkramataḥ pādadāhan tam ādiśet || hṛṣyate caraṇau yasya bhaveyātāñ kurute śūlaṃ karṇṇaśūlaḥ sa ucyate || adho yā vedanā yāti varccomūtrāsayotthitā || bhindatīva gudopasthau sā tūnīnāma nāmataḥ || gudopasthotthitā saiva pratilomam pradhāvitā | vegaiḥ pakvāsayaṃ yāvat pratitūnīti sā smṛtā || sāṭopam atyagrarujam ādhmānam udaram bhṛśaṃ | ādhmānan tam vijānīyād ghoram vātanirodhajaṃ || vimuktapārśvahṛdayan tad evāmāsayotthitaṃ | pratyādhmānam vijānīyāt kaphavyākulitānilaṃ || aṣṭhīlāvad ghanaṃ granthim ūddhvam āyatam unnataṃ | vātāṣṭhīlām vijānīyād vahir mmārggāvarodhinīṃ || etām eva rujāyuktaṃ vāta viṇ mūtrarodhinīṃ | pratyaṣṭhīlām iti vadej jaṭhare athāto 'rśasān nidānaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || ṣaḍarśāṃsi bha vanti || vātapittokaphaśoṇitasannipātaiḥ sahajāni ceti || tatrānātmavatāṃ yathoktaiḥ pra kopanaiḥ prakupitā doṣāś caikaikaśaḥ | dvandvaśaḥ sama stāḥ śoṇitasahitā vā yathoktaṃ prasṛtāḥ | viśeṣato mandāgneḥ pradhānadhamanīr anuprapadyā dho gatvā gudam āgamya pradūṣya gudavalīrmmāṃsam prarohaṃ kandāñ janayanti tāny arśāṃsīty ācakṣate || tatra sthūlāntraprativaddham ardhapañcamāṅagulaṅ gudam āhus tasmin valayas tisroddhyardhāṅagulāntarasambhūtāḥ | pravāhiṇī visṛjanī saṃvaraṇī ceti | romāntebhyo yavāddhyarthe gudauṣṭhaḥ | prathamā tu gudauṣṭhādaṅagulamātre teṣāṃ tu bhaviṣyatāṃ pūrvvarūpāṇi | annena śraddhā kṛcchrāt paktir amlīkān na viṣṭambhaḥ sakthisadanamāṭopaḥ kārśya m udgārabāhulyam akṣṇoḥ śvayathur gudaparikarttanaṃ kāsaśvāsaḥ pāṇḍurogagrahaṇīdoṣaḥ kadācit tadā balahānirindriyayair vvatvāñ ceti| jāteṣv etāny eva liṃgāni pravyaktatarāṇi bhavanti || tatra mārutāt pariśu ṣkāruṇavarṇṇāni viṣamamadhyamāni kadambapuṣpatuṇḍikerīkānāḍīmukhasūcīmukhākṛtīni tair upadrutaḥ saśūlaṃ saṃhatam upaveśyate | kaṭīpṛṣṭhagudameḍhreṣu cāsya vedanā gulmāṣṭhīlāplīhodarāṇi cāsya tannimittāny eva kṛṣṇanakhanayanavadanamūtrapūrī ṣavarṇṇaiś ca puruṣo bhavati || pittān tu nīlāgrāṇi tanūni visarppāni pītāvabhāsāni yakṛtprakāśāni śukajihvāsaṃsthānāni yavamadhyāni jalaukāvaktrasadṛśāni praklinnāni bhavanti | tair upadṛtaḥ sadāhaṃ sarudhiram avipakvam atisāryate | dāhajvarapipāsāś cāsyopadravā bhavanti | tannimittāny eva pītanakhananayanavadanamūtrapurīṣaś ca puruṣo bhavati | śleṣmajāni mahāmūlāni sthirāṇi vṛttāni snigdhāni pāṇḍūni śuklāvabhāsāni karīrapanasāsthigostanākānāṇi na bhidyante na sravanti ca kaṇḍūbahulāni ca bhavanti | tair upadṛtaḥ saśleṣmakam analpam āmaṃvasā medaḥ | prakāśam atisāryate | sophaśītajvarārocakāvipākaśiro gauravagātrasadanāni cāsya tannimittāny eva śuklanakhanayanavadanamūtrapurīṣavarṇṇaś ca puruṣo bhavati | raktajāni tu nyatrodhaprarohavidruma kākaṇantikāphalasadṛśāni pittalakṣaṇāni ceti | yadā tu gāḍhapurīṣaprapīḍitāni bhavanti | tada ātyarthaṃ duṣṭam uṣṇam asṛk sahasā visṛjanti | tasya cā ti pravṛttau śoṇitāti yogopadravāś cāsya bhavanti || sannipātajāni sarvalakṣaṇayuktāni | sahajāni duṣṭaśukraśoṇitanimittāni | teṣāṃ doṣata eva prasādanaṃ kartavyaṃ | viśeṣataś cātra durddarśanāni paruṣāruṇapāṇdūni dāruṇāny antarmukhāni | tair upavidrutaḥ kṛṣo 'lpabhuk sirāsantata gātro 'lpaprajaḥ kṣiṇaretaś ca bhavati || bhavati cātra | bāhyamadhyamayor valyoḥ pratikuryād bhiṣakvaraḥ | valyām abhyantarāyāṃ tu pratyākhyāyācaret kriyāṃ prakupitās tu doṣā meḍhram abhiprapannā māṃsaśoṇite pradūṣya kaṇḍūṃ janayanti | tasmin kaṇḍūkṛte kṣate duṣṭamāṃsajāḥ prarohāḥ | picchilarudhirasrāviṇo jāyante kūrcakino 'bhyantaram upariṣṭādvā te tu śepham vināśayanty upaghnanti puṃstvaṃ | yonim abhiprapannā durgandhi picchilā srāviṇaḥ | chatrākārām prarohāñ janayanti te tu yonim upaghnanty ārtavaṃ ca | nābhim abhiprapannāḥ sukumārān picchilān gaṇḍūpadamukhasadṛśāṃ karīrāñ janayanti ta evordhvam āgatāḥ śrotrākṣighrāṇavadaneṣv arśāṃsy upajanayanti tatra karṇajeṣu bādhiryaṃ śūlaṃ pūtikarṇatāñ ca netrajeṣu vartmāvarodho vedanā srāvo darśanavināśaś ca || ghrāṇajeṣu pratiśyāyo 'timātraṃ kṣavathuḥ kṛcchrocchvāsitā pūtināsya śiroruk sānunāsikavākyañ ca bhavati || vaktrajeṣu kaṇṭhoṣṭhatālūṣv anyatameṣu tair gadgadavākyatā rasāvarodho mukharogāś ca bhavanti || vyānas tu prakupitaḥ śleṣmāṇaṃ parigṛhya bahirddhā sthirāṅ kīlavadarśo 'bhinivarttayati tañ carmakīlam īty ācakṣate || bhavanti cātra || tasya todo 'tha pārūṣyaṃ mārutenopajāyate | śleṣmaṇā tu savarṇṇatvaṃ grathitatvañ ca nirdiśet || pittaśoṇitajaraukṣyaṃ kṛṣṇatā ślakṣna kṣṇatā tathā | samudīrṇakhara tvañ ca carmmakīlasya lakṣaṇam|| durnnāmnāṃ lakṣaṇaṃ vyāsād uktaṃ yac ca samāsataḥ | sannipāta samutthāni sahajāni ca varjjayet | valyaḥ sarvvāś ca yeṣāṃ hi durnāmabhir upadrutāḥ | tais tu pratihato vāyur apānaḥ sannivarttate || tato vyānena saṃgamya jyotir asya pramarddatīti ||2|| arśonidāne dvitīyaḥ ||
athāto 'śmarīṇāṃ nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || catasro'maryo bhavanti śleṣmādhiṣṭhānād vātena pittena śleṣmaṇā śukreṇeti | tatra jvaro vastipīḍārocakamūtrakṛcchrā vastiśirasica vedanā śepasi muṣkayoś ca | vastagandhi mūtrañ ca sāmānyaṃ pūrvvarūpaṃ sarvvāsām eva | tatrāpathyasevinaḥ śleṣmā mūtrasaṃsṛṣṭo'nupraviśya vastim aśmarīm upajanayati | tatra śleṣmāśmarī śleṣmalam annam abhyasato 'tyartham upalipyādhaḥ parivṛddhiṃ prāpya bastimukham adhiṣṭhāya śroto niruṇaddhi | tasya mūtrapratighātād dālyate bhidyate nistudyata iva ca bavastiguruś ca bhavati | aśmarī cātra śvetā snigdhā mahatī kukkuṭāṇḍapratīmā madhuvarṇā bhā bhavati | tāṃ śleṣmāśmarīm iti vidyāt | pittayuktastu śleṣmā saṃghātamupagamya yathoktaṃ parivṛddhim prāpya bastimukha m adhiṣṭhāya sroto niruṇaddhi | tasya mūtrapratighātād ūṣyate cūṣyate pacyate iva bastir uṣṇaś ca bhavati | aśmarī cātra saraktā pītāvabhāsā kṛṣṇa bhallātakapratimā madhuvarṇṇābhā bhavati | tāṃ paittikīm iti vidyāt || vātayuktastu śleṣmāsaṃghātam upagamya yathoktaṃ parivṛddhiṃ prāpya bastimukham adhiṣṭhāya sroto niruṇaddhi | tasya mūtrapratīghātāt tīvrā vedanā bhavati | tayā 'tyarthaṃ pīḍamāno dantān khādati nābhim pīḍayati meḍhraṃ pramṛdnāti garddhayati vidahati | vātamūtrapurīṣakṛcchrtā ca bhavati | aśmarī cātra śyāmā viṣamā kharā paruṣā kadambapuṣpavat kaṇṭakacitā bhavati | tāṃ vātikīm iti vidyāt || prāyeṇa tās tisro 'śmaryo bhavanti | divāsvapnasamasanādhyasanaśītasnigdhamadhurāhārapriyatvād vālānāṃ teṣām eva cālpabastikāyatvād amāṃsopacayāc ca sukhagrahaṇāharaṇāś ca bhavanti | mahatān tu śukrāśmarī śukranimittā bhavati || maithunavighātāc chakram upasthitam anirgacchan vimārgam anilovigṛṣkavṛṣaṇayor anta re saṃharati saṃhṛtya copaśoṣayati sā mūtramārgam āvṛtya mūtrakṛcchraṃ basti śirasi vedanāṃ śepasi muṣkayoś ca śvayathum utpādayati nipīḍitamātre ca tasminnavakāśe pravilayam āpadyate | tāṃ śukrāśmarīm iti vidyāt || atha jātāsu vedanāsu mūtradhārāsu saṅgaḥ sa rudhiramūtravikiraṇañ ca || bhavati cātra nābhipṛṣṭhakaṭīmuṣkagudavaṃkṣaṇaśepasāṃ | ekadvāras tanutvakko madhye bastir adhomukhaḥ || alābur iva rūpeṇa sirāsnāyubhir āvṛtaḥ | mūtrāsayo malādhāraḥ prāṇāyatanam uttamam | nāḍībhir upanītasya mūtrasyāsayāntarāt | jāgrataḥ svapato vāpi sa niṣyandena pūryate || āmukhāt salile nyastaḥ pārśvebhyaḥ pratipūryate || nave ghaṭe yathā vaddhi bastimūtrasya pūryate | etenaiva tu kalpena vātaḥ pittaṃ kapho 'pi vā | mūtrayuktam upasnehāt praviṣya kurute 'śmarīn || apsu svacchāsv api yathā niṣiktāsu nave maṇau | bhavet kālāntarāt paṅkas tadvad aśmarisambhavaḥ || saṃhṛtyāpo yathā divyāṃ māruto 'gniś ca vaidyutaḥ || tadvad valāsaṃ bastistham uṣmā saṃhṛtya sānilaḥ || sābhinnamūrttir vvātena śarkkarety abhidhīyate | mūtrasrotaḥ pravisṛtā sakāḥ kuryād upadravān | daurbalyaṃ sadanaṃ kārśyaṅ kukṣiśūlam arocakaṃ | pāṇḍutvam uṣṇavātañ ca tṛṣā hṛtpīḍanaṃ vamīṃ || mārute viguṇe bastau mūtraṃ samyag na vartate | vikārā vividhāś cāpi pratilome bhavanti hīti || 3 || aśmarīnidāne tṛtīyaḥ || ꣸ ||
athāto bhagandarāṇān nidānaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || vātapittaśleṣmasannipātāgantukanimittāḥ śataponakoṣṭragrīva parisrāviśambūkāvartonmārgiko yathāsaṃkhyaṃ pañca bhagandarā bhavanti | te tu gudabastibhagapradeśadāraṇābhagandarā ity ucyante |abhinnās tu piḍakā bhinnās tu bhagandarāḥ || tatrāpathyasevinām vāyuḥ prakupitaḥ sannivṛttaḥ sthirībhūto gudam abhigato gudadvārād aṅgule dvyaṅgule aṅgule vā māsaśoṇitamabhi pradūṣyā ruṇavarṇṇāṃ piḍakāñjanayati | sāsyatodādīn vedanāviśeṣānupajanayati | apratikriyamāṇā ca pākam upaiti | mūtrāsayābhyāsagatatvāc ca vraṇapraklinnaḥ śataponakavadaṇumukhaiś chidrair āpūryate | tāni cacchidrāṇy ajasraṃbhenānuviddham āsrāvam pravahanti | vraṇaś chidyate bhidyate tāḍyate sūcībhir iva nistudyate gudaś cāvadīryate vātamūtrapurīṣaretasām apy āgamaś ca taicchidrairvati tambhagandaraṃ śataponakamityācakṣate || pittaṃ tu kupitam anilenādhaḥ preritaṃ pūrvvavad evāvasthitaṃ raktān tanvīmucchritāgrāmuṣṭragrīvākārām piḍakāñ janayati | sāsyadāhādīn vedanāviśeṣān upajanayati | apratikriyamāṇā ca pākam upaiti |vraṇaś cāgnikṣārābhyām iva dahyate durgandham uṣṇam āsrāvaṃ sravaty upekṣitaś ca vātamūtrapurīṣaretāṃsi visṛjati taṃ bhagandaramuṣṭragrīvamityācakṣate || śleṣmā prakupitaḥ samīraṇenādhaḥ preritaḥ pūrvvavadevāvasthitaḥ śuklāvabhāsāṃ sthirāpkaṃṇḍūmatīmpiḍakāñ janayati | sāsya kaṇḍvādīn vedanāviśeṣān upajanayati | apratikriyamāṇā ca pākam upaiti | vraṇaś ca kaṭhinaḥ sasaṃrambhaḥ kaṇḍūprāyaḥ picchilamāsrāvaṃ sravaty upekṣitaś ca vātamūtrapurīṣaretānsi visṛjati tam bhagandaram parisrāviṇam ity ācakṣate || vāyuḥ prakupitaḥ prakupitāsutau su pittaśleṣmāṇau parigṛhyādhogatvā pūrvvavad eva sthitaḥ pādāṅguṣṭhapramāṇāṃ sarvvaliṃgām piḍaktāñ janayanti | te sya todadāhakaṇḍvādīn vedanāviśeṣān upajanayanty apratikriyamāṇāś ca pākaṃ gacchanti | vraṇaś ca nānāvidhavarṇṇavedanā nānāvidhavarṇṇam āsrāvaṃ sravati pūrṇṇanadīśambukāvarttavac cātrābhyuttiṣṭhati vedanāviśeṣāḥ | taṃ bhagandaraṃ śambukāvarttam ity ācakṣate || mūḍhena tu sāṃsthiśalyam annam abhyavahṛtaṃ yad āgāḍhapurīṣonmiśram apānenādhaḥ preritam asamyag āgataṃ gudaṃ kṣiṇoti | tadā tatra kṣatanimittāṅ gatir upajāyate || tasmiñś cakṣate pūyarudhirāvarṇṇaimāṃsakothe bhūmāv iva jalapraklinnāyāṃ krimayaḥ sañjāyate | te bhakṣayanto gudam anekadhā pārśvato 'vadārayanti tasya taiś ca kṛmikṛtair mmārgair vvātamūtrapurīṣaretatāṃsy abhiprapadyante | tam bhagandaram unmārgiṇam ity ākṣate || bhavati cātra | ghorāḥ sādhayitun duḥkhāḥ sarvva eva bhagandarāḥ | teṣv asādhyas tridoṣotthaḥ kṣatajaś ca bhagandara iti || 4 || bhagandaranidāne caturthaḥ ||
athātaḥ kuṣṭhanidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || mithyāhārācārasya pittaśleṣmāṇau prakupitauparigṛhyānilaḥ pravṛddhas tiryagāḥ sirāḥ saṃprapadya samūddhūya bāhyamārgam prati samantād vikṣipati | yatra yatra vikṣipto niścarati tatra tatra maṇḍalāni bhavanti | tatra ca parivṛddhim prāpyāpratikriyamāṇo bhyantaram anuprāpto dhātūn vidūṣayati | tasya ca pūrvvarūpāṇi tvakpārūṣyam akasmād romaharṣaḥ kaṇḍusvedabahutvaṃ suptatvam aṅgānām asṛkkṛṣṇatā ca || tatra sapta mahākuṣṭhāni | ekādaśakṣudrakuṣṭhāny evam aṣṭādaśa bhavanti | te vā mahākuṣṭhāny aruṇodumbara ṛṣya jihva kapālakā kaṇaka paṇḍurīkāni dardṛ kuṣṭhañ ceti kṣūdrakuṣṭhāni tu sthūlāruṣkamaṣṭhaikakuṣṭhacarmmadalaṃ parisarppo visarppasidhmaṃ vicarccikā kiṭimaṃ pāmā ca kasā ceti || sarvvāṇi kuṣṭhāni savātāni sapittāni saśleṣmāṇi sakrimāṇi bhavanti |utpannasya tu grahaṇamabhi bhavānta || tra vātenāruṇaṃ|pittenaudumbaraṃ |aṣyajihvakapālakākaṇakāni | śleṣmaṇā puṇḍarīkaṃ dadṛkuṣṭhañcetyeṣāṃ tu mahatvaṃ sarvvadhātvanusāri tvādasādhdhatvañceti | tatra vātenārūṇavarṇṇāni tanūni visarppīṇi todasvāpayuktāni bhavanti || pakvodumbaravarṇṇāny audumbarāṇi |aṣyajihvevakharāṇi aṣyajihvāni || kṛṣṇakapālikāprakāśāni kapālakuṣṭhāni |kākaṇanti kaphalasadṛśāni atīva raktāni paryante ca kṛṣṇāni kākaṇanti kāni teṣāṃ caturṇṇāmapyāṣācoṣaparidāhadhūmāyanāni | kṣiprotthāna prapākabheditvāni ca sāmānyāni | puṇḍarīkaprakāśāni puṇḍarīkāny atasīpuṣpavarṇṇānitāmrāṇi vā visarppīṇi piḍakā bhavanti dardṛkuṣṭhāni ca tayordvayorapyutmannatā | parimaṇḍalatā kaṇḍuścirotthānatvañceti || kṣudrakuṣṭhāny ata ūrdhvaṃ vakṣyāmaḥ| aruḥkuṣṭhe sthūlamūlāny aruṃṣi saṃjāyaṃte sandhiṣu dāruṇāni | mahākumaṣṭhe sarvvadehe bhavanti tvakkocaḥ bhedāṅgadāhāḥ|| kṛtsne dehe yasya kṛṣṇo ruṇovātac caikāravyaṃ kuṣṭham āsukaṣṭaṃ | kaṇḍucoṣautodahau tu yasya kāle cāsmin carmmadalam vadanti | yasmin sphoṭāsrāvavantastamāhnaḥ pārīsarppan tac chanaiḥ sarppamāṇaṃ | vaisarpyaḥ syāt sarvvataḥ sarpyate tu tvagraktadīn vyāpya bhāvān suśīghraṃ || svacchasvetapkaṃṇḍumac cāpibhiṣmaṃ paridhvaṃsimrāyasaś cordvakāye | pāṇau pādau dāruṇau yasya rūkṣaiśovākaṇaḍuḥsāvicarcciḥ pradiṣṭhā | vaipādyākhyaḥ pādayoś cāvadīrṇṇu saivārthajñes tīvrakaṇḍusadāhaḥ | kṛṣṇaṃ kaṇḍumaṇḍalaṃ kaṇḍarañ caḥ śyāmopetaṃ kaiṭabham pathate tu || śukṣāva paiḍakāḥ āvacatyaḥ pāmety uktāḥ kaṇḍumaty ugradāhāḥ | saivāsthedās tīvradāhair upetākjñathāḥ pāṇyau kaṇḍur ugrāḥ sthicau ca || kṛtsnedehe paiḍakāḥkaṇḍumatyo tair āsrāvārākasety ucyate tu | tatrāruṣkaṃrākasaṃyacca sidhmaṃ kaphādhiṣkadeka kuṣṭham mahac ca | | pitte drekāt pārimarpyantu vidyādṛṣṭo niṣṭhaḥ kuṣṭhavargas tridoṣaḥ | kilāsam api kuṣṭhavikāra eva | tattu trividham vā te pittena ślemaṇeti | kuṣṭhakilāsayor antaraṃ tv agatam eva kilāsam aparisrāvi ca | tadvātena maṇḍalamaruṇamparidhvaṃsi ca | pittena padmapatrapratīkāsaṃsaparidhāhaṃ ca | śleṣmaṇā svataṃ snigdhaṃ kaṇḍurañ ca | tatra sambaddhamaṇḍalamantajātaṃ raktaromāṇañ ca sādhyam agnidagdhañ ca tatra kuṣṭheṣu tvakṣaṃkoca svedaṇobhasvāpabhedakauṇyasvaropaghāto vātena | pākāvadaraṇam aṅgulipatanaṃ karṇṇanāsābhaṅgākṣirāgāḥ kṣiprotyattayaḥ pittena | kaṇḍuvarṇṇabhedaḥśobhāsrāvāḥ śleṣmaṇā | tatrātibalapravṛttaṃ puṇḍarīkaṃ kākaṇañ cāsādhyam iti || ślokau || yathā vanaspatir jjātaḥ prāpya kālaṃ krameṇa tu | antarbhūmimvigāhetamūlair vvṛdvivivarddhitaiḥ || evaṃ kuṣṭhaṃ samutpannaṃ tvaci kālaprakarṣataḥ | krameṇa dhātūn prāpnoti narasyāpratikāriṇaḥ | tvaksthe vaivarṇṇyam aṅgeṣu kuṣṭhe raukṣyañ ca jāyate | tvakasrāvo romamaharṣañ ca svedasyāti pravarttanaṃ || kaṇḍurvvipuyakaś caiva kuṣṭhe śoṇitasaṃśrite | bāhulyaṃ vaktraśoṣaś ca kārkkaṣyampiḍakodgamaḥ|| todaḥ sphoṭasthiratvañ ca kuṣṭhe māṃsasamāśrite || kauṇyaṅ gatikṣayo ṅgānām bhedaḥ kṣatavisarpyaṇaḥ || medaḥ sthānagate liṃgan pūrvvoktāni tathaiva ca | nāsākṣibhaṅgorāgāś ca kṣate ca krimisambhavaḥ || svaropaghātaś ca bhaved asthimajjā samāśrite || strīpuṃsoḥ kuṣṭhavāhnalyād duṣṭaśoṇitaśukrayoḥ | yad apatyaṃ bhavej jātaṃ jñeyan tada pi kuṣṭhilaṃ | kuṣṭham ātmavataḥ sādhdhaṃ tvagraktapiśitāśritaṃ || medogataṃ bhaved yāpyaṃm asādhyam ata uttaraṃ | devadravyagurūdravyaparadārābhimarṣaṇāt | pāpmāpāpakṛtam etat kuṣṭham ity abhiśabditaṃ | mriyate yadi kuṣṭhena punarjjāte na gacchati || āhārācārayoḥ proktām āsthāya mahatī kriṃyāṃ || auṣadhīnām vviṣiṣṭānāṃ tapasaś co niṣevaṇāt || yas tena mucyate jantuḥ puṇyāṅ gatim avāpnuyāt | pravātād gātrasaṃsparśān niśvāsāt sahabhojanāt || kuṣṭhañ jvaraś ca śoṣaś ca netrābhiṣyanda eva ca | aupasargikarogāś ca saṃkrāmanti narāt naram iti || ja || kuṣṭhanidāne pañcamaḥ|
athātaḥ pramehāṇān nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || divāsvapnaprasaktam alasaṃ śītasnigdhamadhuramedyadravānnapānam puruṣañ jānīyāt pramehī bhaviṣyatīti | tasyaivaṃpravṛttasya yadā vātapittaśleṣamāṇo medaś coparipakvādhogatvā bastimukham āśritya nirbhidyante tadā pramehān janayanti | teṣām pūrvvarūpāṇi pāṇipādataladāhaḥ snigdhaḥcikkanagātratā madhuraśuklamūtratā tandrā ca | tatrāvilaprabhūtamūtralakṣaṇāḥ sarvva eva pramehā bhavanti | sarvva eva sarvvadoṣasamutthāś ca saha piḍakābhiḥ| tatra kaphādudakekṣuvālikāsurāsikatāśanair llavaṇapiṣṭasāndraśukramehāḥ phenamehaś ceti daśa || pittānnīlaharidrāmvlakṣāramañjiṣṭhāmehāḥ śoṇitamehaś ceti ṣaṭ || vātātsarppirvvasākṣaudramehāhastimehaś ceti catvāro 'sādhyāḥ|| tatra vātapittamedobhir anvitaḥ śleṣmāsvānmehān janayanti | vātakaphaśoṇitamedobhir anvitam pittaṃ | kaphapittavasāmajjāmedobhir anvito vāyur iti || tatra svetam avedanam udakatulyam udakamehī mehati | īkṣurasatulyam ikṣuvālikāmehī |surātulyaṃ surāmehī sarujāṃ sikatānuviddhaṃ sikatāmehī | śanaiḥ sakaphaṃ sāndraṃ śanairmmehī | viṣadaṃ lavaṇatulyaṃ lavaṇamehī | hṛṣṭaromāpiṣṭatulyaṃ piṣṭamehī | āvilaṃ sāndraṃ sāndramehī | śukratulyaṃ śukramehī || stokas tokaṃ saphenañ ca phenamehī mehati || ata ūrdhdvam pittanimittān vakṣyāmaḥ | saphenam acchannīlannīlamehī mehati | sadāhaṃkadkaṃ haridrābhaṃ haridrāmehī mehati | amlarasagandhamamlamehī | sṛtakṣārapratimaṃ kṣāramehī | mañjiṣṭhodakaprakāśaṃ mañjiṣṭhamehī | śoṇitamehī śoṇitam mehati || vātanimittānvakṣyāmaḥ ||sarppiḥprakāśaṃ sarppirmmehī mehati | vasāprakāśaṃ vasāmehī | kṣaudrasavarṇṇaṃkṣaudramehī | mattamātaṅgavadanapradhūraṃhastimehi mehati || upadravānata ūrdhvamvakṣyāmaḥ ||makṣikopasarppaṇamālasyamāsyopadehaḥ pratiśyāyaḥ |śaithilyamarocakā 'vipākau kaphaprasekaś chardyati nidrākāsa iti śleṣmajānām upadravā bhavanti || vṛṣaṇayoravadaraṇaṃ bastibhedo meḍhratodo 'mlīkāpipāsājvaro 'tīsāromūrcchāpāṇḍuroga iti pittajānāmupadravā bhavanti || hṛdgrahau daurbbalyamanidrālambhaḥ kampaḥśūlobadhdapurīṣatvaṃ śoṣaḥ kāsaḥ śvāsa iti vātajānām upadravā bhavanti ||evam ete viṃśati pramehāḥ sopadravā vyākhyātāḥ || tatra vasāmedobhyām abhipannaśarīrasya doṣair anugatadhātoḥ pramehiṇo navapiḍakāḥ sañjāyante || tad yathā || sarāvikā | sarṣaṣī | kacchapikā | jālinī | puttriṇī | masūrikā | alajī | vidārikā | vidradhikā ceti || anto nnatā ca tadṛpā nimnamadhyā sarāvikā | gaurasarṣapasaṃsthānātatpramāṇā ca sarṣaṣī || sadāhā kūrmmasaṃsthānā jñeyā kacchapikā budhaiḥ | jālinī tīvradāhā tu māṃsajālasamāvṛtā || mahaty alpacitā jñeyā piḍakā cāpi putriṇī | masūrasaṃsthānasamā vijñeyā tu masūrikā || raktā śitā sphoṭacitā dāruṇā tvalajī bhavet | vidārīkandavadvṛttā kaṭhinā ca vidārikā || vidradher llakṣaṇair yuktā jñeyā vidradhikā budhaiḥ || ye yan mayāḥ smṛtā mehās teṣām etām tu tan mayāḥ || gude hṛdi śirasyaṃse pṛṣṭhe marmmasu cotthitāḥ| sopadravā durbbalāgraiḥ piḍakāḥ parivarjjayet || kṛtsnaṃ śarīraṃniṣpīḍya medomajjāvasāyutaḥ| adhaḥ prakramate vāyus tenāsādhyās tu vātajāḥ| pramehe pūrvvarūpāṇām ākṛtir yatra dṛśyate | kiñcid asyadhikaṃ mūtraṃ taṃ pramehīti nirddiśet | kṛcchrāṇy arddhāni vā yasmin pūrvvarūpāṇi mānave | pravṛttaṃ mūtram atyarthaṃ taṃ pramehiṇam ādiśet || piḍakāpīḍitaṃ gāḍham upasṭaṣṭam upadravaiḥ | madhumehiṇam ācaṣṭe sa cāsādhyatamaḥ syāteḥ|| sa cāpi gamanāt sthānaṃ sthānād āsanam eva ca | āsanād vṛṇute śayyāṃ śayane svapnam icchati || yathā śuklādivarṇṇānām pañcānām utkarṣāpakarṣakṛtena saṃyogaviśeṣeṇa svetababhṛkapilakapotamecakādīnāṃ varṇṇānāmanekeṣām utpattir bhavati | evameva doṣadhātumalāhāraviśeṣeṇotkarṣāpakarṣakṛtena saṃyogaviśeṣeṇa pramehanān ākaraṇam bhavati || bhavati cātra || sarvva eva pramehās tu kālenāpratikāriṇaḥ madhumehatvam āyānti tadā sādhyā bhavanti ceti || 0 || || pramehanidāne ṣaṣṭhaḥ ||
athāta udarāṇān nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || dhanvantarir dharmmabhṛtām variṣṭho rājarṣir indrapratimo mahātmā | brahmarṣiputram vinayopapannaṃ śiṣyaṃ śubhaṃ suśrutam anvaśāsat || pṛthak samastair api doṣaiḥ plīhodaram baddhagudavam vadanti | āgantukaṃ saptamam aṣṭaman tu dakodaraṃ caiva bhavanti tāni || sudurbbalāgner ahitāśanasya vṛddhiṃ gatāḥ koṣṭham abhiprapannāḥ || gulmākṛtivyañjanalakṣaṇāni kurvvanti ghorāṇyudarāṇi doṣāḥ || koṣṭhād upasnehavad annasāro niḥsṛtya duṣṭo 'nilasaṃprayuktaḥ| tvacaḥ samunnāmya śanaiḥ samastād dhi sarpyamāṇo jaṭharaṃ karoti || yad gṛhyapṛṣṭhodarapārśvavastī na vivarddhate kṛṣṇasirāvanaddhaṃ | samūḍhavātaṃ sarujaṃ saśabdaṃ satodabhedam pavanātmakan tat || sacoṣakṛṣṇājvaradāhayuktaṃ pītāḥ sirā yatra ca bhānti pītāḥ pītākṣiviṇmūtranakhānanasya pittodarantaṃtvacirābhivṛddhiḥ || yacchītalaṃ śuklasirāvanaddhaṃ gurusthiraṃ śuklanakhānanasya | snigdham mahatsādanaśophayuktaṃ cirābhivṛddhimprathitaṃ kaphāt tat || striyo nnapānannakharomamūtrair vviḍārttavair yuktam asādhuvṛttāḥ| yasmai prayacchanty arayogarāṃś ca duṣṭāmbudūṣīviṣasevanād vā || tenāśu raktaṃ kupitāś ca doṣāḥ kuryuḥ sughorañ jaṭharan triliṅgaṃ | tac chītavātātapadurddineṣu viśeṣataḥ kupyati dahyate ca || sa cāturo mūrcchati samprayuktaḥ pāṇḍuḥ kṛṣaḥ śuṣyati tṛṣṇayā ca || dūṣyodaraṃ kīrttitam etad evaṃ plīhodaraṃ kīrtayato nibodhaḥ || vidāhyabhiṣyandiratasya jantoḥ pradūṣṭam atyartham asṛkkaphaś ca | plīhābhivṛddhiṃ kurute plihotthaṃ pracakṣata taj jaṭharam pravṛddhaṃ || tadvāmapārśve parivṛddhimeti viśeṣataḥsīdati cāturo 'tra | mandajvarāgniḥkaphapittaliṃgair ūpadṛtaḥ kṣīṇabalo 'tipāṇḍuḥ| savye tu pārśve yakṛtipraduṣṭe jñeyaṃ yakṛddālyadaraṃ tadeva | yasyāntam annair ūpalapibhir vvā bālāśmabhir vvāpi hitaṃ yathāvat || sañcīyate tatra malaḥ sadoṣaḥ śanaiḥ śanaiḥ śajvaravaktunāḍyāṃ | nirudhyate cāsya gudaṃ purīṣaṃ nireti kṛcchrād api cālpam alpaṃ || hṛnnābhimadhye parivṛddhim eti tasyodaram vaddhagudam vadanti || śalyan tathānopahitaṃ gudāntram bhinatti varccāgatam anyato vā || tasmātsṛtāntrātsalilaprakāśaḥ srāvaḥ sravedvai gudatastu bhūyaḥ| nābheradhaścodarameti vṛddhinnistudyatedālyati cātisrāvaṃ | etat parisrāvyuram praviṣṭaṃ dakodaraṃ kīrttayato nibodhaḥ| yaḥ snehapīto 'py anuvāsito vā vānto virikto 'py athavā nicūḍhaḥ|| pibej jalaṃ śītalam āśu tasya srotānsi dūṣyanti hi tadvāhāni snehopalipteṣv athavāpi teṣu dakodaraṃ pūrvvavad abhyupyaiti || snigdham mahat tat parivṛttanābhiḥ samātatam pūrvvam ivāmbunā ca | yathā dṛti kṣubhyati kampate ca śabdāyate cāpi dakodaran tat || adhmano gamane śaktir ddaubbalyan durbbalāgnitā | śophaḥ sadanam aṅganāṃ saṃgo vātapurīṣayoḥ || dāhatandrī ca mūrcchā ca jaṭhareṣu bhavanti hi | charddiś caivātisāraś ca tṛṣṇo daurbbalyam eva ca | mūdraprahaḥ pārśvaśūlaṃ svarabhedapramūḍhatā | bhikkāśvosaś ca kāsaś ca aruciś cāpy upadravāḥ || ante salilabhāvañ ca bhavanti jaṭharāṇi tu | sarvāṇi paripakvāni tasmāt tam parivarjjayet || ity udaranidāne saptamaḥ ||
athāto mūḍhagarbhāṇān nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || grāmyadharmmayānavāhanādhvagamanapraskhalanaprapatanapīḍanābhighātaviṣamaśayanopavāsavegābhighātātirūkṣakaṭukatiktabhojanājīrṇṇagarbhaśātanaprabhṛtibhir abhighātaviśeṣacchidyante garbham phalam iva vṛttabandhanāt | sakhalumuktabandhanatvād garbhaśayyām atikramya yakṛtplīhāntravivagair avasransamānaḥ koṣṭha saṃkṣobhayati | tasyāḥ koṣṭhasakṣomād vāyur avyaṃno mūḍhaḥ pārśvabastiśiraudarayoniśūlānāhamūtrasadgānāpādyagarbhas pracyāvayati | taruṇaṃ śoṇitabhāvena kadā cid vivṛddham asamyagāgatam apatyapatham anuprāptam anirgacchantam apānavaiguṇyasammohitaṅ garbhaṃ mūḍhagarbham ity ākṣate || sakīlaḥ pratikhurobījakaḥ parigha iti caturvvidho mūḍhagarbho bhavatīty eke bhāṣante || ya ūrdhvaṃ śiraḥpādābhyāṃ yonimukhan ni ruṇaddhi kīla iva sakīlaḥ| niḥsṛtahastapādaśiraḥkāyaśaktaḥ sa pratikhuraḥ | yas tu nirgacchati śiro bhujaḥ savījakaḥ| parigha iva yonimukham āvṛtya tiṣṭhet saparigha iti | tattu na samyak || sa yadā viguṇānilapīḍito 'patyapathamanekadhā pratipadyate | tadā catuḥsaṃkhyā hīyate || tatra kaś cid dvābhyāṃ sakthibhyāṃ yonim abhiprapadyate | kaścid ābhugnaikasakthi | kaścid ābhugnaśiraḥsphideśenatiryagāgataḥ | kaścid udarapārśvapṛṣṭhānāmanyatamena yonidvāram pidhāya tiṣṭhati | kaścid ekena bāhunā pārśvāpavṛttaśirā | kaścid ābhugnaśirābāhudvayena | kaścid ābhugnamadhyohastapādaśirobhiḥ| kaścid ekena sakthnāyonimabhiprapadyāpareṇapāyum ity aṣṭavidhāmūḍhagarbhagatir uddiṣṭā samāsena | tatra dvāvantyau mūḍhagarbhāvasādhyau śeṣeṣvapi viparītendriyārtha sākṣepakayonibhraṃsasamvaraṇasakkalaśvāsakāsabhramanipīḍitaॉṃś ca pariharet || bhavanti cātra ślokāḥ || kālasya parimāṇena muktavṛttādyathāphalaṃ | prapadyate svabhāvena nānyathā pṛthivītalaṃ || evaṃ kālaprakarṣeṇa mukto nāḍīni vambandhanāt | garbhāsayastho hi garbho jananāya prapadyate || krimivātābhighātais tu tad evopadrutam phalaṃ | pataty akāle pi yathā tathā syād garbhavicyutiḥ|| ā caturthāntato māsāt prasṛte garbhavicyutaḥ | tataḥ sthiraśarīrasya pādaḥ pañcamaṣaṣṭhayoḥ || apaviddhaśarīrā tu śītāṅgī nirapatrapā |nīloddhatasirā hanti mā garbhansacatāḥpūnaḥ || garbhāspandanam āvīnām praṇāśaḥ śyāvapāṇḍutā | bhaved ucchvāsapūtitvaṃ śūlaś cāntarmmṛte śiśau || nasāgantubhir mmāturupatāpaiḥ prapīḍitaḥ | garbho vyāpadyate kukṣau vyādhibhiś ca nipīḍitaḥ || kukṣau māturvvipannāyā garbhaḥ praspandate striyāḥ| janmakāle muhurttāt taṃ pāṭayitvoddharec chiśuṃ || yadā so 'ntarmmṛto garbhaḥ śunobastirivātataḥ | tenāvṛtā ca nāryas tu kukṣisunnahyate bhṛśaṃ || utkṣipya iva cāṅgāni mūtrabastiś ca vidyate | klomaplīhāyakṛc caiva phuphphusaṃ hṛdayantathā || garbheṇa pīḍitāhyeta dūrdhvamprakrāmati striyāḥ | sā sūyate muhyati ca kṛcchrocchvāsā ca jāyate || pūtigandhyantathāsvedo jihvātālū ca śuṣyati | vepate srāmyati tathā jīvitañcoparudhyate || etair lliṅgaur vvijānīyān mṛtagarbhañ cikitsaka iti || mūḍhagarbhanidāne 'ṣṭamaḥ||
athāto vidradhīnāṃ nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ | sarvvāmaraguruḥ śrīmān nimittāntarabhūmipaḥ | śiṣyāyovāca nikhilam idam vidradhilakṣaṇaṃ || tvagraktamāṃsamedānsi pradūṣyāsthi samāśritāḥ | doṣāḥ śophaṃ śanair ghorañjanayantyucchritā bhṛśaṃ || mahāmūlaṃ rujāvantaṃ vṛttamvāpyathavāyataṃ | savidrādhiritikhyāte | vijñeyaḥ ṣaḍvidhaś ca yaḥ || pṛthagdoṣaiḥ samastaiś ca kṣatenāpyasṛjā tathā | ṣaṇṇāmapi hi teṣāntu lakṣaṇaṃ sampravakṣyate || kṛṣṇoruṇo vā paruṣo bhṛṣamatyarthavedanaḥ | kṣiprotthānaprapākaś ca vidradhirvvātasaṃbhavaḥ || pakvodumbarasaṃkāśaḥ śyāvo vā jvaradāhavān | kṣiprotthānaprapākaś ca vidradhiḥ pittasaṃbhavaḥ || sarāvasadṛśaḥ pāṇḍuḥ śītaḥ snigdhālpavedanaḥ | cirotthānaprapākaś ca sakuṇḍaś ca kaphātmakaḥ || tanupītasitāścaiṣāmāsrāvāḥ kramaśaḥ smṛtāḥ | nānāvarṇṇarujāsrāvo ghāṭālo viṣamo mahān || viṣamampacyate cāpi vidradhiḥ sānnipātikaḥ | tais tair bhāvair abhihate kṣate vā pathyasevinaḥ || kṣatoṣmā vāyurvvisṛtaḥ saraktampittamīrayet | jvarastṛṣṇā ca dāhaś ca jāyate cāsya dehinaḥ || āganturvvidradhistveṣa pittavidradhi lakṣaṇaḥ | kṛṣṇasphoṭāvṛtaḥ śyāvas tīvradāharujājvaraḥ || pittavidradhiliṅgaś ca raktavidradhirucyate | uktā vidradhayo hyete teṣvasādhyastu sarvvajaḥ || abhyantarānata ūrdhvamvidradhīn sampravakṣyate | pṛthaksaṃbhūya vā doṣāḥ kupitā gulmarūpiṇaṃ || valmīkavatsamunnaddhamantaḥ kurvanti vidradhiṃ | gude bastimukhe nābhyāṃ kukṣau vaṃkṣaṇayostathā || vṛkkayoḥ plīhniyakṛti hṛdivāklomni vāpyetha | eṣā muktāni liṃgāni bāhyavidradhi lakṣaṇṇaiḥ || āmapakveṣaṇīyācca pakvā pakvamvi bhāvayet | adhiṣṭhāna viśeṣeṇa liṃgaṃ śṛṇu viśeṣataḥ || gude vātanirodhastu kṛcchrālpamūtratā | nābhyāṃ hikkā tathāṭopaḥ kukṣau mārutakopanaṃ || kaṭīpṛṣṭagrahas tīvro vaṃkṣaṇotthe tu vidradhau | vṛkkayoḥ pārśvasaṃkocaḥ plīhnyucchvāsanirodhanaṃ || sarvvāṅgapragrahas tīvro hṛdikāsaś ca jāyate | śvāso vā yakṛti tṛṣṇā klomni pepīyate 'pyapaḥ || āmo vā yadi pakvo vā mahānvā yadi vetaraḥ | sarvvo marmmotthitatvāstu vidradhiḥ kaṣṭa ucyate || nābherūparijāto yo marmmābhyāse ca vidradhiḥ | yaḥ pakvaḥ so 'pyasādhyaḥ syādyaścorddhamudarve tathā || nābherūparijāḥ pakvā yāntyurdhvamitaretvadhaḥ | adhaḥ sṛteṣu jīvettu sṛteṣūrdhvannajīvati || hṛdbastinābhivarjyā ye teṣu bhinneṣu bāhyataḥ | jīvetkadācitpuruṣonetareṣu kadācana || strīṇāmavaprajātānāmprajātānāntathā hitaiḥ | dāhajvarakaro ghoro jāyate raktavidradhiḥ || strīṇām mithyo prajātānām asṛkk apy ādaniḥ sṛtāṃ | raktajamvidradhiṅ kuryāt kukṣau makkalasaṃjñitaṃ | saptāhātnopaśāntaś cet tataḥ sampratipacyate || viśeṣamatha vakṣyāmi spaṣṭam vidradhigulmayoḥ || kasmāt na pacyate gulmo vidradhiḥ pākameti ca | nanibandho 'sti gulmānām vidradhiḥ sanibandhanaḥ || vivarānucaro gulmapsubudbudakopamaḥ | evam prakāro gulmas tu tasmāt pākan na gacchati || māṃsaśoṇitavāhulyāt pākaṅ gacchati vidradhiḥ | gulmas tiṣṭhati doṣaiḥ svaiḥ rvvidradhirmmānsaśoṇite || vidradhiḥ pacyate tasmādgulmaś cāpi na pacyate | hṛnnābhibastijaḥ pakvo varjyo yaś ca tridoṣajaḥ || vidradheḥ pūrvvarūpāṇi viṇmūtrānilasaṅgrahaḥ | bhramo 'dgamarddovair asyaṃ kāṇṭavyammadhucāsyatā || muhurmmuhus tathātyartha yathā sthānam uvedrujā | vivarddhate jvaraś cāsya tṛṣṇā cāsya pravādhata iti || || ||vidradhinidāne navamaḥ ||
athāto visarppanāḍīstanarogāṇānnidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || tvagmāṃsaśoṇitagatāḥ kupitāś ca doṣāḥ sarvvāṅgacāriṇam iha sthitam ātmaliṅgaṃ | kurvvanti vistṛtamanunnatam āśu śophan taṃ sarvvato visaraṇāt tu visarppam āhuḥ || vātātmako sitamṛduḥ paruṣo 'ṅgamarddaḥ saṃbhedatodapavanajvaraliṅgayuktaḥ | pittātmako- drūtagatir jvaradāhapākaḥ sphoṭaprabhedabahula kṣatajaprakāśaḥ || sadyaḥkṣatānvitam ivāpi hi-tam vihāti srotojakarddamavapurn na tadā sa sidhyet | śleṣmā-tmakaḥ sarati mandam aśīghrapākī snigdhaḥ sthirapracurakaṇḍaran anyavarṇṇaḥ || sarvvātmakas trividhavarṇṇarujāvagāḍhaḥ pakvo na sidhyati sa māṃsasirāpraṇāśāt | sadyaḥkṣatamvraṇam upetya narasya raktaṃ pittañ ca doṣabahulasya karoti śophaṃ || śyāvaṃ salo-hitam atijvaradāhapākaḥ sphoṭaiḥ kulatthasadṛśair asitaiś ca kīrṇṇaṃ || siddhyanti vātakaphapittakṛtā visarppāḥ sarvvātmakaḥ kṣatakṛtaś ca na siddhim eti || pittātmakoñjanavapuś ca yadā tad āsyāt kṛcchrāc ca marmmasu bhavanti hi savva eva | yaḥ śopham īkṣati supakkvam apakkvasañjī yo vā vraṇaṃ pracurapūyam asādhuvṛttaḥ | abhyantaraṃ praviśati pravidārya tasya sthānāni pūrvvavihitāni tataḥ sa pūyaḥ | tasyātimātragamanād gatir ity atas tu nāḍī ca yad vahati tena matā tu nāḍī || doṣais tribir bhbhavati yā pṛthag ekaśaś ca saṃmūrcchitair api ca śalyanimittato nyā | tatrānilāt paruṣasūkṣmamukhī saśūlā phenānuviddhamadhikaṃ sravati kṣapāsu || pittāt tu tṛdkarakarī paridāhayuktā pītaṃ sravaty adhikam uṣṇam ahassu cāpi | jñeyā kaphādbahughanārjjunapicchilāsrā sta sakaṇḍuraru-jārajanī pravṛddhāḥ || || dāhajvaraś ca sanamūrcchanavaktraśoṣā yasyā bhavanty abhihitāni ca lakṣaṇāni | tām ādiśet pavanapittakaphaprakopād ghorāṅgatittvasuha-rām iva kālarātriṃ || naṣṭaṅ kathañcid aṇumārggam udīriteṣu sthāneṣu śalyam acireṇa gatiṅ karoti | sā phenilaṃ mathitamaccham asṛgvimiśram uṣṇaṃ karoti sahasā susarujañ ca nityaṃ || yāvantyo gatayaś caiva kāraṇaiḥ saṃbhavanti hi | tāvantyaḥ stanarogās tu tair eva ca bhavanti ha || dhamanyas saṃvṛtadvārāḥ kanyānāṃ stanasaṃśritāḥ | doṣā-gatitvāt tāsāṃ hi stanarogān asantyataḥ || tāsām eva prajātānāṅ garbhbhiṇīnāñ ca tā punaḥ | svabhāvād eva vivṛtā jāyante saṃbhataḥ || rasaprasādo madhuraḥ pakvāhāranimittajaḥ | kṛtsnād dehāt stanau prāpya stanyam ity abhidhīyate || viṣaśasteṣv api gātreṣu yathā śukran na dṛśyate | tad eva ceṣṭāyuvatiṃ darśanāt smaraṇād api || saṃśabdāt sparśanād vāpi saṃharṣāc ca pravarttate | suprasannamanaś cātra- darśane hetur ucyate || āhārarasavīryatvād evaṃ stanyam api striyaḥ | sarvvadehāśritatvāc ca śukralakṣaṇam ucyate || tad apatyasya saṃsparśād darśanāt smaraṇād api || grahaṇāc ca śarīrebhyaḥ śukravat saṃpravarttate || sneho nirantaras tāsāṃ prasnave hetur ucyate | tat kaṣāyam bhaved vātāt kṣiptañ ca plavate mbhasi || pittād amlaṃ sakaṭukaṃ rājyambhasi ca pītikā | śleṣmād ghanam picchilañ ca jale cāpy avasīdati || sarvvair duṣṭaṃ sarvvaliṅgam abhighātāc ca duṣyati | sakṣīro vā py adugdho vā doṣaḥ prāpya stanau striyāḥ | pradūṣya māṃsarudhira stanarogāya kalpate | ṣaṇṇām api ca teṣāṃ hi raktajam vidradhim vinā || lakṣaṇāni samānāni bāhyavidradhilakṣaṇair iti || prabhañjanakadurnnāmā bhagadāraṇaṃ | kuṣṭhapramehajaḍhagarbhbhañ ca vidradhiṃ || visarppastananāḍībhiḥ pūryate daśakopanaḥ ||

athāto granthyapacyarvvudagalagaṇḍānān nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || vātādayo mānsam asṛk praduṣṭāḥ sandūṣya sedaś ca tathā sirāṃś ca vṛttonnatam vigrathitan tu śophaṃ kurvantyato granthir iti pradiṣṭaḥ || āyamyate vṛñjati tudyate ca pratyasya te sāthsyati bhidyate ca | kṛṣṇo mṛdurv vastir ivātataś ca bhinna sravec cānilajomremacchaṃ || dandahyate dhūpyati cūṣyate ca pāpacyate prajvalatīva cāpi | raktaḥ sapitto py athavāpi pittād bhinnaḥ sraved duṣṇaduṣṇamatīva cāsraṃ || pīto vivarṇo lparujo tikaṇḍūḥ pāṣāṇavat saṃhananopapannaḥ | cirādhi vṛddhiś ca kaphaprakopādbhinnaḥ sravec chuklaghanañ ca pūyaṃ || śarīravṛddhikṣayavṛddhihāniḥ snigdho mahānūkaṇḍuyuto 'rujaś ca | medaḥkṛto dṛśyati cātra bhinne piṇyākakalkapratiman tu medaḥ || vyāyāmajātair avalasya tais tair ākṣipya vāyurhi sirāpratānaṃ | saṅkuñcya sapiṇḍya viśoṣya cāpi granthiṅ karoty unnatam āśu vṛttaṃ || granthiḥ sirājaḥ sa tu kṛcchrasādhyo bhaved yadi syāt sarujaścalaś ca | aruk sa evāpyacalo mahāṃś ca marmotthitaś cāpivivarjjanīyaḥ || hanvasthikakṣyākṣakavāhusandhimanyāgaleṣūpacitan tu medaḥ | granthiṃ sthiraṃ vṛttam athāyatam vā snigdhaṅ kaphaś cāsya rujaṅ karoti || taṃ granthibhis tvāmalakāsthimātrair mmatsyāṇḍajālapratimais tathānyaiḥ ananyavarṇair upacīyamānaṃ cayaprakarṣād apaciṃ vadanti || kaṇḍvanvitās te lparujā prabhinnāḥ sravanti naśyanti bhavanti cānye | medaḥkaphābhyāṃ khalu roga eṣa sudustaro varṣagaṇānubandhī || gātrapradeśe kvacid eva doṣāḥ saṃmūrcchitā māṃsam asṛkpradūṣya | vṛttaṃ mṛdum mandarujam mahāntam analpamūlañ ciravṛddhyapākaṃ || kurvvanti māṃsocchrayam abhyagādhan tam arvvudaṃ śāstravido vadanti | vātena pittena kaphena cāpi raktena māṃsena ca medasā ca || yajjāyate tasya ca lakṣaṇāni grantheḥ sanani sadā bhavanti | doṣā praduṣṭā rudhiraṃ sirāsu sakuñcya sampiṇḍya tatas tv apākaṃ || sāsrāvamunnahyati mānsapiṇḍam māṃsāṅkurair ācitam āśu ghoraṃ | sravaty ajasraṃ rudhiram praduṣṭam asādhyam etad rudhirātmakan tu || raktakṣayopatapīḍitatvāt pāṇḍurvbhavet so 'rvvudapīḍitas tu | muṣṭiprahārādibhir arddite ṅge mānsam praduṣṭañ janayat tu śopham || avedanaṃ snigdham ananyavarṇṇam apākam aśmopamam apracālyaṃ | praduṣṭamānsasya narasya gāḍham etad bhavet mānsaparāyaṇasya || māṃsārvvudaṃ tv etad asādhyam uktaṃ sādhyeṣv apīmāni vivarjjayīta | samprasrutam marmmaṇi yac ca jātaṃ srotassu vā yac ca bhaved acālyaṃ || > yajjāyate 'nyat khalu pūrvvajāte jñeyan tad adhyarvvudam arbudajñaiḥ | yad dvandvajātaṃ yugapat kramād vā dvirarvvudan tac ca bhaved asādhyam || na pākam āyānti kaphānvitatvān medovahutvāc ca viśeṣatas tu | doṣasthiratvād grathanāc ca teṣāṃ sarvvārvvudāny eva viśetam tu || vātaḥ kaphaś cāpi gale pra ttu saṃśritya tathaiva medaḥ | kurvvanti gaṇḍaṃ kramaśaḥ svaliṅgaiḥ samanvitan taṅ galagaṇḍam āhuḥ || todānvitaḥ kṛṣṇasirāvanaddhaḥ kṛṣṇo ruṇo vā pavanātmakas tu | pāruṣyayuktiś ciravṛddhyapāko yadṛcchayā caiṣa bhavet kadācit pākam iyāt kadācit || vairasyam āsyasya ca tasya jantor vbhavet tathā tālugalapraśoṣaḥ | sthiraḥ savarṇo gururugrakaṇḍū śīto mahāṃś cāpikaphātmakas tu || cirābhivṛddhim bhajate cirāc ca prapadyate mandarujaḥ kadācit | mādhuryam āsyasya ca jantor vbhavet tathā tālugalapralepaḥ || snigdho guduḥ pāṇḍuraniṣṭagandho medothitaḥ pāṇḍuyuto rujaś ca | pralamvate 'lāvuvad alpamūlo vivarddhate hīyati cātra dehaṃ || snigdhāsyatā tasya bhavec ca jantor ggale ca śavdaṅ kurute ca nityaṃ | kṛcchrocchvasan tam mṛdusarvvagātraṃ samvatsarāt ī tam arocakārttam || kṣīṇañ ca vaidyo galagaṇḍinan tu bhinnasvarañ cāpi vivarjjayīta || nivaddhaśvayathur yasya yathā muṣkam pralamvate | mahānuvodhy atha hrasvas taṃ gaṇḍam iti nirdiśet || iti granthyapacyarvvudagalagaṇḍanidāna ekādaśa || 11 ||
athāto vṛddhyupadaṃśaślīpadānān nidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || vātapittaśleṣmaśoṇitamedomūtrāntranimittāḥ sapta vṛddhayo bhavanti | teṣu mūtrāntranimittau vātasamutthau | kevalam utpattihetur anyaḥ || adhaḥ kupito 'nyatamas tu doṣaphalakośayor vvātavāhinīdhamanīm abhiprapadya phalakoṣayor vvṛddhim upajanayati || tam vṛddhim ity ācakṣate || tatrānilapūrṇṇabastim ivātatam puruṣam animittarujam vātavṛddhim ity ācakṣate | pakvodumbarasaṅkāśam āśu samutthānam pittavṛddhiṃ || kaṭhinaṃ snigdham alpavedanaṃ śleṣmavṛddhiṃ || kṛṣṇasphoṭāvṛtaṃ pittavṛddhiliṅgaṃ raktavṛddhiṃ || mṛdusnigdhaṃ sakaṇḍur alpavedanan tālaphalaprakāśam medovṛddhiṃ || mūtrasandhāraṇaśīlasya mūtravṛddhir bbhavati || sa gacchato 'mbupūrṇṇā dṛtir iva kṣubhyate mūtrakṛcchravedanāvantaṃ mūtravṛddhim ity ācakṣate || tatra balavadvigrahādibhir vviśeṣair vvāyuḥ prakupito ntrasya sthūlasya cetarasyaikadaśam viguṇam ādāyādho vaṃkṣaṇasandhim āgamya kālāntareṇa muṣkakoṣam upaiti ādhmātabastir ivātataḥ pradīrghaḥ śopho bhavati | saśabdam anupīḍitaś corddhvam utpatati vimuktaś ca punar ādhmāti | tam antravṛddhim asādhyam ity ācakṣate || tatra brahmacāriṇīn dīrghakarkkaśaromāṃ yonirogopasṛṣṭām alpadvārām apriyām akāmām acaukṣasalilaprakṣālitayonim vā nārīṃ yo 'dhigacchet tathā karajadaśanasaviṣaśūkanipātanāddhastābhighātāc catuṣpadagamanād acaukṣasalilaprakṣālanād vā prakupitā meḍhragatās tu doṣā kṣate kṣate vā śvayathum upajanayanti | tam upadaṃśam ity ācakṣate || sa pañcavidhas tribhir ddoṣaiḥ pṛthak samastair asṛjaś ca | tatra vātike tvakpari mo2 ṭanaṃ stabdhameḍhratā paruṣaśophatā vividhavedanāprādurbhāvaś ca || paittike śvayathur udumbarapratikāśo jvaradāhayuktaḥ || ślaiṣmike śvayathuḥ kaṇḍūmān kaṭhinaḥ snigdhaś ca || raktaje kṛṣṇasphoṭaprādurbbhāvo 'tyartham asṛkpravṛttiḥ pittaliṅgāni ca || sarvvaje sarvvaliṅgadarśanam avadaraṇañ ca śephasaḥ | krimiprādurbbhāvo maraṇañ ceti || prakupitās tu doṣās tv adhaḥprapannā vaṃkṣaṇorujaṃghāsv avatiṣṭhante | tataḥ kālāntareṇa pādam āśritya śanaiḥ śanaiḥ śopham upajanayanti | tac chlīpadam ity ācakṣate || tat tu trividham vātapittakaphanimittam iti || tatra vātajaṃ kṛṣṇam paruṣaṃ kharam animittarujam analpavedanam parisphuṭati ca bahuśaḥ || pittajan tu pītāvabhāsaṃ mṛdujvaradāhapradañ ca || śleṣmajan tu snigdhaṃ svetāvabhāsaṃ mavedanam atimahāntaṃ granthikaṇṭakair upacitañ ca || tatra samvatsarātītam atimahantaṃ valmīkajātam atiprasrutam iti varjanīyāni || trīṇy apy etāni jānīyācchlīpad ī ā ni kaphocchrayāt | gurutvañ ca mahattvañ ca yasmān nāsti vinā kaphāt || purāṇodakabhūyiṣṭhāḥ sarvvarttuṣu ca śītalāḥ | ye deśās teṣu jāyante, ślīpadāni viśeṣataḥ || pādavaddhas tayoś cāpi, ślīpadañ jāyate nṛṇām | karṇākṣināsāsv api ca kecid icchanti tadvida iti ||

athātaḥ kṣudraroganidānaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || saptacatvāriṃśat kṣudrarogā bhavanti || tad yathā || ajagallikā | yavaprakhyā | amvālajī | vivṛtā | kacchapikā | valmīkā | indraviddhā | garddabhikā | panasikā | pāṣāṇagarddabhaḥ | icivallikā | kakṣā | gandhanāmā | visphoṭakaṃ | agnirohiṇī | cippa | anuśayī | vidārikā | śarkkarā | śarkarārvvudaṃ | pāmā | vicarccikā | rakasā | pādadārī | kadaraṃ | alasakaḥ | rujā dārūṇakaṃ | arūṣikā | palitaṃ | mayūrikā | yuvānapiṭakā | padminīkaṇṭakā | jatumaṇi | masakaṃ | tilakā | naccha | vyaṃgaḥ | nīlikā | parivarttikā | niruddhaprakāśaṃ | avapāṭikā | sanniruddhagudaṃ | ahipūtanaṃ | vṛṣaṇakacchūḥ | gudabhransaś ceti || snigdhāḥ savarṇṇā grathitā nīrujā mudgasannitāḥ | kaphavātotthitā jñeyā vālānām ajagallikā || yavākārā sukaṭhinā grathitā māṃsasaṃśritā | piḍakā śleṣmavātābhyāṃ yavaprakhyeti cocyate || ghanālpavakrām piḍakām unnatām parimaṇḍalāṃ | amvālajīm alpapūyān tām vidyāt kaphavātajāṃ || vivṛtābhyām mahādāhām pakvodumvarasannibhāṃ | parimaṇḍalām pittakṛtām vivṛtān nāsatām viduḥ || grathitā pañca vā ṣaḍ vā dārūṇāḥ kacchaponnatāḥ | kaphānilābhyām piḍakā jñeyā kacchapikā vudhaiḥ || pāṇipādatale sandhau grīvāyām ūrdhvajatruṇi | granthir vvalmīkavadyasya śanaiḥ samupacīyate || todaḥ kledaparīdāhaḥ kaṇḍūmadbhir mmukhair vvṛtaḥ | vyādhir vvalmīka ity eṣa vijñeyaḥ kaphapaittikaḥ || padmakarṇṇikavat madhye piḍakābhiḥ samācitāṃ | indrā viddhām vijānīyād vātapittotthitām bhiṣak || maṇḍalam vṛttam utsannaṃ saraktam piḍakācitaṃ | rujākarīṅ garddabhikāṃ tām vaded vātapittataḥ || karṇṇasyābhyantare jātām piḍakām ugravedanāṃ | sthirām penasikān tān tu vidyād vātakaphotthitāṃ || hanvāḥ sandhisamudbhūtaṃ śopham alparujaṃ sthiraṃ | pāṣāṇagarddabham iti vrūyāt tat kaphapittataḥ || visarppavat sarppati yaḥ śophastanurapākavān | dāhajvarakaraḥ pittāt sajñeyo jālagarddabhaḥ || piḍakām uttamāṅgasthām vṛttām ugrarujāṃ jvarāṃ | sarvvātmakāṃ sarvvaliṅgāṃ jānīyādirivellikāṃ || vāhukandyāṃ sapārśvaṣu kṛṣṇāṃ sphoṭāṃ savedanāṃ | pittaprakopasaṃbhūtāṃ kakṣyetibhiṣagā diśet || ekām etādṛśīn dṛṣṭāṃ piṭikāṃ sphoṭasannibhāṃ | tvaggatām pittakopena gandhanāmām vinirddeśet || agnidagdhanibhāḥ sphoṭāḥ sajvarāḥ pittaraktataḥ | ci sarvvatra vā dehe visphoṭaka iti smṛtaḥ || kakṣabhāgeṣu ye sphoṭā jāyante mānsadārūṇā | antarddāhajvarakarā dīptapāvakasannibhāḥ || saptāhādvā daśāhād vā pakṣād vā ghnanti mānavaṃ | tām agnirohiṇīm vidyād asādhyāṃ sannipātataḥ || nakhamānsam adhiṣṭhāya vātaḥ pittañ dehināṃ | kuryā tān dāhapākau ca taṃ vyādhiñ cippam ādiśet || tad evālpatatarair doṣaiḥ kunakham parūṣaṃ kharaṃ || gambhīrām alpasaṃrambhāṃ savarṇṇām uparisthitāṃ | kaphād anuśayīm yasyām vidyād antaḥ prapākinīṃ || vidārīkandavad dhṛtān kakṣavaṃkṣaṇasandhiṣu | vidārikām iti vadet sarujāṃ sarvvalakṣaṇāṃ || prāpyamāṃsasirāmnāyu śleṣmā medastathānilaḥ | granthiṅ kurvvanty asau bhinno madhusarppirvvasānibhaṃ || karot asrāvam anilas tatra vṛddhiṅ gataḥ punaḥ || mānsam viśograthitāṃ śarkkarāñjanaty ataḥ || durgandhiklinnamaty arthan nānāvarṇṇan tataḥ sirāḥ | sṛjanti raktaṃ sahasā tam vidyāc charśarkkarār vvudaṃ || pāmāvicarcyau kuṣṭheṣu rakasā ca prakīrtitā || parikramaṇaśīlasya vāyuraty artharūkṣayoḥ | pādayoḥ kurute dārīsarūjās talasaṃśritāḥ || śarkkaronmathite pāde kṣata vā kaṇṭakādibhiḥ | granthiṃ kīlavad utsanno jāyate kadaran tu tata || klinnāṅgulyantarau pādau kaṇḍadāharujānvitau | duṣṭakarddamasaṃsparśādalaseti vibhāvayet || romakūpānugam pittam vātena saha mūrcchitaṃ | pracyāvayati romāṇi tataḥ śleṣmā saśoṇitaḥ || ruṇddhi romakūpās tu tato 'nyeṣāmasambhavaḥ | tad indraluptaṃ khālity aṃ rūjeti ca vibhāvyate || dāruṇākaṇḍurā rūkṣā keśabhūmim prayodyate | kaphamārutakopena vidyād dāruṇakan tu tat || aruṃṣi vahuvakrāṇi vahukledāni mūrddhantu | kaphāsṛkkritakopena vraṇām vidyād arūṣikāṃ || krodhaśokaśramakṛtaḥ śarīroṣmā śirogataḥ | pittañ ca keśān pacati palitan tena jāyate || dāhajvararujāvantastāmrāḥ sphoṭāḥ savedanāḥ | gātreṣv antaś ca vadane vijñeyā tu masūrikā || śālmalīkaṇṭakaprakhyāḥ kaphamārutaraktajāḥ | yuvānapiḍakā yūnām vijñeyā mukhadūṣaṇāḥ || kaṇṭakair ācitam vidyān maṇḍalam pāṇḍu kaṇḍuraṃ | padminīkaṇṭakaprakhyais tadākhyaṅ kaphabātajaṃ || samam utsannam arujam maṇḍalaṅ kapharaktajaṃ | sahajaṃ lakṣma caikeṣāṃ lakṣyo jatumaṇīti sā || avedanaṃ sthirañ caiva yasmin gātre pradṛśyate | māṣavat kṛṣṇam utsannam anilāt maṣakam ādiśet || kṛṣṇāni tilamātrāṇi nīrujāni samāni ca | vātapittalavotsetām vidhyāttikālakāṃ || mahad vā yadi vāty alpaṃ śyāvam vā yadi vā sitaṃ | nīrujam maṇḍalaṃ gātre naccham ity abhidhīyate || krodhāyāsaprakupito vāyuḥ pittena saṃyutaḥ | mukham āgamya sahasā maṇḍalam visṛjaty ataḥ || nirujan tanukaṃ śyāvaṃ mukhe vyaṅgan tam ādiśet | kṛṣṇam evaṅ guṇaṃ gātre mukhe vā nīlikām viduḥ || marddanāt pīḍanād cāpi tathaivāpyabhighātataḥ | meḍhracarmma yadā vāyur bhajate sarvvataś caran || tadā vātopasaṃsṛṣṭaṃ carmma pratinivarttaye | sa vedanan sadāhaś ca pākaṃ vrajati cāsakṛt || maṇer adhastāt kośas tu granthirūpeṇa lamvate | parivartiketi tām vidyāt sarujām vātasaṃbhavāṃ || sakaṇḍūḥ kaṭhinā cāpi saiva śleṣmasamutthitā | alpīyaḥ khāṃ yadā harṣod valāṅ gacchen striyan naraḥ || hastābhighātād api vā carmmāṇyud varttate valāt | yasyāvapāte carmmatām vidyād avapāṭikāṃ || vātopasṛṣṭam eveta ccarmma saṃśrayate maṇiṃ | maṇiś carmmoparuddhaś ca mūtrasroto ruṇaddhi tu || niruddhaprakāśam vidyā tatyā n mandadhāraṃ savedanaṃ | mūtraṃ pravartate jantor mmaṇirn na ca vidāryate || niruddhaprakāśam vidyāt sarujam vātasambhavaṃ | vegasandhāraṇād vāyur vvihato gudam āśritaḥ || niruṇaddhi mahotsrotaḥ sūkṣmadvāraṃ karoti ca | mārgasya saukṣmyāt kṛcchreṇa purīṣan tasya gacchati || sanniruddhagudam vyādhim etad vidyāt sudustaraṃ | śakṛt mūtrasamāyukte dhaute pāne śiśor bhavet || svinne vāsvedyamāne vā kaṇḍūraktakaphodbhavāḥ || kaṇḍūyanāttataḥ kṣipraṃ sphoṭāsrāvaś ca jāyate || ekībhūtam vraṇaṃ ghoraṃ tam vidyād ahipūtanaṃ || snānotsādanahīnasya malo vṛṣaṇasaṃsthitaḥ | yadā praklidyate svedāt kaṇḍūṃ sañjanayet tadā || tataḥ kaṇḍūyanāt kṣipraṃ sphoṭāsrāvaś ca jāyate | prāhur vvṛṣaṇakacchrūn tāṃ śleṣmaraktaprakojāṃ || pravāhaṇātisārābhyān nirgacchati gudo vahiḥ | kṣadurvvaladehasya taṃ gudabhranśam ādiśet || ity evaṃ kṣudrarogāṇāṃ sthānaṃ samparikīrtitam | tad avekṣya bhiṣak prājño yathādoṣam upācaret || ||

athātaḥ śūkadoṣanidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || liṅgavṛddhimicchatāmakramapravṛttānāṃ śūkadoṣanimittaṃ vyādhayo daśa cāṣṭau jāyante || tad yathā || sarṣapikāṣṭhīlā grathitaṃ kumbhīkā alajīmṛditaṃ sammūḍhapiṭakā | avamanthaḥ puṣkarikā sparśahāniḥ | uttavaḥ śataponakaḥ | tvaṣkākaḥ śoṇitārbbudaṃ māṃsārbbudaṃ māṃsapāko vidradhistilakālakañceti || gaurasarṣapasaṃsthānā śūkanirvdugnahetukāḥ | piṭakākapharaktābhyāṃ jñeyāsarṣapisā|| kaṭhinā viṣamā bhagnair vāyunāṣṭhīlikā bhavet | śūkair yat pūritaṃ śaśvad grathitaṃ nāma tat kaphāt || kumbhīkā raktapittotthā jāvvasthisadṛśāśuṇat | tulyajātvalajīm vidyād yathā proktām vicakṣaṇaḥ || mṛditaṃ pīḍitaṃ yat tu saṃrabdham vātakopataḥ | pāṇibhyāṃ bhṛśasammūḍhe saṃmūḍhapiṭakā bhavet || dīrghā bahvyaś ca piṭakā dīryante madhdhatas tu yāḥ || so 'vamanthaḥ kaphāsṛgbhyām vedanāromaharṣakṛt || piṭakācitāyāpiṭakāpittaśoṇitasaṃbhavā || padmakarṇikasaṃsthānā jñeyā puṣkariketisā || sparśahānin tu janayec choṇitaṃ śūkadūṣitaṃ | mudgamāṣopamā raktā piṭakā raktapittajā | vyādhir evottavo nāma śūkājīrṇṇanimittajaḥ | chidrair aṇumukhair lliṅgañ citaṃ yasya samantataḥ || vātaśoṇitajo vyādhiḥ sa jñeyaḥ śataponakaḥ | vātapittakṛto jñeyas tv akkāko jvaradāhakṛt | kṛṣṇaiḥ sphoṭaiḥ sarabhiḥ piṭakābhiś ca pīḍitaṃ | yasya bastirujañ cogrā jñeyan tac choṇitārbbudaṃ || māṃsadoṣeṇa jānīyādarbbudam mānsasaṃbhavaṃ | śīryante yasya mānsāni yatra sarvvāś ca vedanāḥ || vidyāt tam mānsapākan tu sarvadoṣakṛtam bhiṣak | vidradhiḥ sannipātena yathoktam abhinirddiśet || kṛṣṇāni citrāṇy athavā śūkāni saviṣāṇi vā | pātitāni pacanty āśu meḍhranniravaśeṣataḥ || kṛṣṇāni bhūtvā mānsāni śīryante yasya dehinaḥ | sannipātasamutthānan tam vidyāt tilakālakaṃ || tatra māṃsārbbudaṃ yac ca māṃsapākaś ca yaḥ smṛtaḥ | vidradhiś ca na sidhdhanti ye ca syus tilakālakāḥ ||

athāto bhagnanidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || patanapīḍanaprahāraviṣaduṣṭaprabhṛtibhir abhighātaviśeṣaiḥ | anekavidhamasthnāṃ bhaṅgam upadiśanti | tatra bhagnajātamanekavidhamanusāryamāṇaṃ dvividhamevopapadyate | sandhimukataṃ kāṇḍabhagnañ ca | tatra ṣaḍvidhaṃ sandhim uktaṃ dvādaśavidhaṃ kāṇḍabhagnam bhavati | tatra sandhimuktamutpiṣṭam viśliṣṭam viparivarttitam avakṣiptam atikṣiptan tiryak kṣiptam iti | prasāraṇākuñcanāśaktirugrarujatā sparśāsahatvāñ ceti | sāmānyataḥ sandhim uktalakṣaṇam uktaṃ | vaiśeṣikaṃ tūtpiṣṭe saṃdhāvubhayataḥ śopho vedanāprādurbbhāvo viśeṣataś ca rātrau bhavati | viśliṣṭe 'lpaśophatā vedanāsātatyaṃ sandhivikriyā ca || viparivarttite ca sandhau pārśvagamanād viṣamāṅgatā vedanā ca | avakṣipte sandhiviśleṣastīvrarujatā ca || atikṣipte dvayoḥ sandhdhasthnoratikrāntatā vedanā ca | tiryakkṣipte tv ekāsthipārśvagamanam atyartham iti || kāṇḍabhagnam ata ūrddhvam vakṣyāmaḥ || karkkaṭakam aśvakarṇṇañ cūrṇitam piccitam asthicchallikāṇḍabhagnam atipātitam majjānugataṃ vakrañ cchinnaṃ sphuṭitaṃ sphāṭitam iti || śvayathubāhulyam avapīḍyamāne śabdaḥ srastāṅgatā vividhavedanāpravṛttir iti || sāmānyataḥ kāṇḍabhagnalakṣaṇam uktaṃ || viśeṣatas tu sammūḍham ubhayato 'sthi madhye bhagnaṃ granthirivonnataṃ karkkaṭakaṃ || aśvakarṇṇavad udgatamaśvakarṇṇaṃ || śabdasparśābhyāñcūrṇṇitam avagacchet || piccitam pṛthulatāṅgatam alpaśophaṃ || pārśvato 'nvasthihīnodgato 'asthicchalitakannāmavellite prakampyamānaṃ || kāṇḍabhagnam asthiniḥśeṣacchinnāsthyavayavaḥ || asthimadhyapraviṣṭātipātitasaṃjñaḥ || kṣatabhagnam unnahyamānam ajjammajjānugataṃ || ābhugnam iva yad vimuktāsthi tad vakran nāma || anyatarapārśvāvaśiṣṭaṃ chinnaṃ || sphuṭitama nubahudāritavedanāvān || śūkapūrṇṇam ivādhmātam vipulaikadā visphāṭitan nāma || teṣu cūrṇṇitaṃcchinnātipātitamajjānugatāni kṛcchrasādhdhāni | kṛśātivṛddhabālāsahāyānāṃ kṣatakṣīṇakuṣṭiśvāsināṃ savraṇā niḥsandhyupagatāni ceti || bhavati cātra || bhinnakapālaṃ kaṭyāṃ tu sandhim uktaṃ tathā cyutaṃ | jaghanam pratipiṣṭañ ca varjjayīta vicakṣaṇaḥ | asaṃkliṣṭaṅkapālañ ca lalāṭe cūrṇṇitañ ca yat || bhagnaṃ stanāntare śaṃkhaṃ pṛṣṭhe mūrddhni ca varjjayet || samyaksandhitam apyasthidurnnikṣeptanibandhanāt | saṃkṣobhād vāpi yad gacchet vikriyāntam api varjjayet || taruṇāsthīni nāmyante bhajyante nalakāni tu | kapālān vibhajyante sphullanti rucakāni tu ||

athāto mukharoganidānam vyākhyāsyāmaḥ || mukharogāḥ pañca ṣaṣṭir bhavanti || saptasv āyataneṣu || tatrāyatanāni oṣṭhau dantamūlāni dantā jihvā tālū kaṇṭha sarvvāṇi ceti || tatrāṣṭāv oṣṭhayoḥ ||pañcadaśa dantamūle || aṣṭau danteṣu || pañcajihvāyāṃ || navatāluni || saptadaśakaṇṭhe || trayas sarvveṣv āyataneṣu || tatroṣṭhe prakopād vātapittakaphasannipātaraktamānsamedo 'bhighātanimittāḥ || karkkaśau paruṣau stabdhau samprāptānilavedanau | dālyete paripoṭyete oṣṭhaumārutakopataḥ || cīyete piṭakābhiś ca sarujābhiḥ samantataḥ | sadāhapākapiṭakau pītābhāsau ca pittataḥ || savarṇṇābhiś ca cīyete piṭakābhir avedanau | bhavatas tu kaphādoṣṭhau picchilau śītalau gurū || sakṛtkṛṣṇau sakṛtpītau sakṛtsv etau tathaiva ca | sannipātena vijñeyāv anekapiḍakācitau || kharjjūraraktavarṇṇābhiḥ piṭakābhir nnipīḍitau | raktopasṛṣṭarudhiraṃ sravataḥ śoṇitaprabhau || gurū sthūlau māṃsaduṣṭau māṃsapiṇḍavad udgatau | jantavaś cātramūrcchanti narasyobhayato mukhāt || sarppirmmaṇḍapratīkāśau medasā kaṇḍurau gurū | oṣṭhauparyavadīryete poṭyete cābhighātataḥ || acchaṃ sphaṭikasaṃkāśaṃ sasrāvaṃ sravato bhṛśaṃ | dantacchadāvadīryete poṭyete cāsakṛtpunaḥ || tato vraṇaḥ susaṃrūḍho mṛdutvam upagacchati || dantamūlagatās tu śītādo dantapuppuṭo dantaveṣṭaḥ sauśiro mahāsauśiraḥ paridaraḥ | upakuśaḥ | dantavaidarbbhaḥ | khalivarddhanaḥ | adhimāṃsaḥ | ḍyaḥ pañceti || śoṇitaṃ dantaveṣṭebhyo yasyākasmāt pravarttate | durggandhī nisakṛṣṇāni prakledīni mṛdūni ca || dantamāṃsāni pacyante pacanti ca parasparaṃ | śītādonāmasavyādhiḥ kaphaśoṇitasambhavaḥ || dantayos triṣu vā yasya śvayathuḥ sparśanā sahaḥ | dantapuppuṭako nāma savyādhiḥ kapharaktajaḥ || sravanti pūyarudhiraṃ calādantā bhavanti ca | dantaveṣṭaḥ savijñeyo duṣṭaśoṇitasambhavaḥ || śvayathūr ddantamūleṣu rujāvān kaphasambhavaḥ | lālāsrāvī sa vijñeyaḥ sauśironām anāmataḥ || dantāś calanti veṣṭabhyas tālu cāpy avadīryate | yasmin sa sarvvajo vyādhir mmahāsauśirasaṃjñitaḥ || dantamāṃsāni śīryante yasmin ṣṭhīvati cāsakṛt | pittāsṛkkaphajo vyādhir jñeyaḥ paridaro hi saḥ || veṣṭaḥ sadāhampacati yasyadantāścalantica| dāhena veṣṭāstaptāś ca śuṣyante cāgninā yathā || aghaṭṭitāḥ prasravanti śoṇitam mandavedanāḥ | yasmin sopakuśonāma pittaraktakṛto gadaḥ || ghṛṣṭeṣu dantamūleṣu saṃrambho jāyate mahān | bhavanti dantāś ca calāḥ savaidarbbhā'bhighātajaḥ || mārutenādhiko danto jāyate tīvravedanaḥ | khalivarddhanasaṃjño sau jāter ukca praśāmyati || hānavye paścime dante mahāśophomahārujaḥ | lālāsrāvī kaphakṛto jñeyaḥ so 'dhikamāṃsakaḥ || dantamūlagatā nāḍyaḥ pañca jñeyā yathoditāḥ || dantagatās tu dālanaḥ krimidanta kodanta harṣo bhañjanakaḥ | dantaśarkkarā | kapālikā | śyāvadantaḥ | hanur mmokṣaś ceti || dāryamāṇeṣv ivarujā yasya danteṣu jāyate | dālanonāma savyādhiḥ sadāgatinimittajaḥ | kṛṣṇaścchidraś ca calati sasaṃrambho mahārujaḥ | animittarujovātātsajñeyaḥ krimidantakaḥ || śītamuṣṇañ ca daśanāḥ sahante sparśanan na ca | yasya tad dantaharṣan tu vyādhim vidyāt samīraṇāt || vaktram vakram bhaved yasya dantabhaṅgaś ca jāyate | kaphavātakṛto vyādhiḥ sa bhañjanakasaṃjñitaḥ || śarkkar eva sthirībhūto malo danteṣu yasya vai | sā dantānāṃ guṇaharī vijñeyā dantaśarkkarā || kapāleṣv iva dīryatsudantānāṃ saiva śarkkarā | kapāliketi paṭhitā sadā dantavināśinī || asṛṇmiśreṇa pittena dagdhodantas tv aśeṣataḥ | śyāvatān nīlatām vāpi gataḥ sa śyāvadantakaḥ || vātena tais tair bbhāvaiś ca hanusandhivisaṅgataḥ | hanurmmokṣa iti jñeyo vyādhir ardditalakṣaṇaḥ || jihvāgatās tu | kaṇṭakās trividhās tribhir ddoṣairalāsa upajihvā ceti || jihvānilena sphuṭitā prasuptā bhavec ca śākacchadanaprakāśā | pittātsadāhair anucīyate ca dīrghaiḥ saraktair apikaṇṭakaiś ca || kaphena gurvvī bahalā citā ca mānsāṅkuraiḥ śālmalikaṇṭakaubhaibhaiḥ | adhogato yaḥ śvayathuḥ pragāḍhaḥ so 'lāsasaṃjñaḥkapharaktamūrttiḥ || jihvāṃ sa tu stambhayate pravṛddho mūle ca jihvā bhṛśam eti pākaṃ | jihvāgrarūpaḥ śvayathur hi jihvām unnāmya jātaḥ kapharaktamūlaḥ || lālākaraḥ kaṇḍuyutaḥ sa coṣaḥ sātupajihvā paṭhitā bhiṣagbhiḥ | | tālugatās tu || galaśuṇḍikā tuṇḍikerī adhruṣaḥ kacchapaḥ | arbbudaḥ | mānsasaṃghātaḥ | tālu puppuṭakaḥ | tāluśoṣaḥ | tālupāka iti || kaphāsṛgbhyāntālumūlātpravṛddho dīrghaḥ śophodhmātabastiprakāśaḥ | tṛṣṇākāsaḥ śvāsakṛttam vadanti vyādhim vaidyā galaśuṇḍeti nāmnā || śophaḥ sthūlastodadāha prapākī prāguktābhyāṃ tuṇḍikerīmatā tu | mṛduḥ śopho lohitottho jñeyo 'dhruṣaḥ sajvaras tīvra ruk ca || kūrmmonnato vedanā'śīghrajanmā rogo jñeyaḥ kacchapaḥ śleṣmaṇā tu || padmākaran tālumadhye tu śophaṃ tam vidyād raktārbbudaṃ proktaligaṃ | māṃsannirujan tālumadhye kaphāt tu prokto vaidyair mmāṃsasaṃghāta eṣaḥ || arukchiraḥ kolamātraḥ kaphena samedasāpuppuṭas tāludeśe | śuṣyaty atyarthan dīryate cāpi tāluśvāsaś caivograstāluśoṣo 'nilāt tu || pittaṃ kuryāt pākam atyarthaghoraṃ tāluny evan tālupākam vadanti || kaṇṭhagatās tu || rohiṇyaḥ pañca | kaṇṭhaśālūkam adhijihvā valayaḥ | alāsaḥ | ekavṛndaḥ | śataghnī | gilāyuḥ | galavidradhiḥ | galaughaḥ | svaraghnaḥ | māṃsatānovicāriś ceti || gale 'nila pittakaphau tu mūrcchitau pradūṣya māṃsañ ca tathaiva śoṇitaṃ | galopasaṃrodhakarais tathāṅkurair nihantyas unvyādhir ayaṃ hi rohiṇī || jihvā samantād bhṛśavedanān tu mānsāṅkuraiḥ kaṇṭhanirodhinīyā | tāṃ rohiṇīm vātakṛtām vadanti tisraś ca tāstvād ita eva kṛcchrā || kṣiprodgamā kṣipravidāhapākās tīvrajvarā pittanimittajā tu | sroto nirodhinyacalonnatā ca sthirāṅkurā yā kaphasaṃbhavā sā || gambhīrapākiny anivāravīryā tridoṣaliṅgā tritayotthitaṃ tu | sphoṭaiś citā pittasamānaliṃgāsādhyā pradiṣṭā rudhirātmikā tu || kolāsthimātraḥ kaphasaṃbhavo yo granthir galekaṇṭakaśūkabhūtaḥ | kharaḥ sthiraḥ śastranipātasādhyas tat kaṇṭaśālūkam iti bruvanti || jihvāgrarūpaḥ śvayathuḥ kaphāt tu jihvopariṣṭādapiraktamiśraḥ | jñeyo 'dhijihvā khalu roga eṣa vivarjjayed āgatapākam enaṃ || balāsa evāyatam unnatañ ca śophaṃ karoty annagatin nivārya|taṃ sarvvathaivāprativāravīryam vivarjjanīyam valayam vadanti || gale tu śophaṅkurutaḥ pravṛddhau śleṣmānilau śvāsarujopapannaṃ | marmmacchidan dustaram etad āhur alāsasaṃjñan nipuṇādhikāraṃ || vṛttonnatāntaḥ śvayathuḥ sadāhaḥ sakakaṇḍuro 'pāvyagururm mṛduś ca | nāmnaikavṛndaḥ parikīrtyate 'sau vyādhir bbalāsakṣatajaḥ prasūtaḥ || samunnatamvṛttam amandadāhantīvrajvaraṃ vṛndam udāharanti | tac cāpi pittakṣatajaprakopāj jñeyaṃ satodam pavanātmakan tu || varttir ghanā kaṇṭhanirodhanī tu citātimātram piśitaprarohaiḥ | anekarukprāṇaharī tridoṣāj jñeyā śataghnīti śataghnirūpā || granthirggale tv āmalakāsthimātraḥ sthiro 'lparukyaḥ kaphapittamūrttiḥ | yo lakṣyate raktam ivāsravaś ca saśasrasādhdhastu gilāyusaṃjñaḥ || sarvvaṅgalaṃ vyāpya samutthito yaḥ śopho rujāḥ santi ca yatra sarvvā | sa sarvvadoṣair ggalavidradhis tu tasyaiva tulyaḥ khalu sarvvajasya || śopho mahāntan na jalāvarodhī tīvrajvaro vāyugater nnihantā | kaphena jāto rudhirānvitena gale galaughaḥ paṭhito bhiṣagbhiḥ || yas tāmyamānaḥ śvasiti prasaktam bhinnasvaraḥ śuṣkavimuktakaṇṭhaḥ | kaphopadiṣṭeṣv anilāyateṣu jñeyaḥ sa rogaḥ śvasanāts varaghnaḥ || pratānavān yaḥ śvayathuḥ sukaṣṭo | galoparodhān kurute krameṇa | sa mānsatān eti bibhartti saṃjñāprāṇapraṇutsarvvakṛto vikāraḥ || sadāhatodaṃ śvayathuṃ satāmram antarggale pūtiviśīrṇṇamānsaṃ | pittena vidyād vadane vicārim pārśve viśeṣāt sa tu yena śete || sarvvasarās tu vātapittakaphanimittāḥ || sphoṭaiḥ satodair vvadanaṃ samantād yasyācitaṃ sarvvasaraḥ savātāt | raktaiḥ sadāhaiḥ piṭakaiḥ sapītaiḥr yasyācitaṃ cāpi sapittakopāt || avedanaiḥ kaṇḍuyutaiḥ satodair yasyācitaṃ cāpi sa vai kaphena ||

granththyapacyarbbudaṅgaṇḍuṃ vṛddhin daṃśañ ca ślīpadaṃ | kṣudraśūkaṃ sabhagnañ ca mukharogeṇa ṣaṭsmṛtaḥ || sūtre pradiṣṭan daśaṣaṭvā pūrvvaṃ sthanan nidānam bhavatīti yac ca | savistaran tat kathitam mayeha svayambhunā yat kathitaṃ hitāya ||
